Opened in 1999, "Genki Ippai!!" is a Hakata tonkotsu ramen shop known for its super rich broth. The shop does not have any signs or a visible name, so you have to rely on the address to find it in the Zontaaku Hakata I building in Gofukumachi. While there used to be several rules like no mobile phone use and eating the soup before the noodles, now it's more relaxed and even allows photos. Just be aware that you'll be asked about your temperature at the entrance. Even the famous Nature Teramoto Jimon reportedly visits this place. The ramen costs 850 yen, and you can add curry roux for an extra 150 yen. The tonkotsu broth is incredibly rich but without any pork smell, making it more like a creamy potage soup with a hint of Western flavor. It's similar to chicken paitan or chicken potage but without any bitterness, incredibly milky! It's almost like stew or bisque. You can also opt for a curry-flavored noodle replacement (wame-men) with the leftover soup. While curry ramen isn't very common, the combination here is surprisingly delicious. The noodles are cooked normally (I forgot to ask for firmness) but they turned out great, soft and delicate with a chewy texture. They pair well with the rich and delicate broth. The owner spent 10 years cooking something other than ramen in Osaka before teaching himself how to make ramen at home, which might explain the unique approach to the soup. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this next-level tonkotsu ramen experience! Thank you for the meal!

When it comes to Fukuoka, the soul food is tonkotsu ramen! Today I tried the Hakata Genki Ippai Soup, which was incredibly delicious - rich but light enough to want to drink it all. The flavor was amazing. I also tried the curry-flavored egg, which was a first for me! The curry roux and noodles came together perfectly, allowing for a quick and satisfying flavor change. It was a great bowl of ramen!

Fukuoka expedition✨ We arrived around 1pm and visited the restaurant without having to wait. Surprisingly, we were able to go without lining up. This time, I ordered the normal ramen. I wonder how it tastes! The soup was a collagen-rich, creamy white pork bone broth that was very easy to drink. The noodles were like vermicelli, which was a first for me in ramen and quite surprising! When I looked at the menu, I saw they offered curry replacement noodles. I thought this would definitely go well with the soup! I resisted the temptation for a second bowl, thank you for the meal!

Ramen shop without a signboard or restroom. Ordered Chashu noodles for 1150 yen. The soup is ultra-rich tonkotsu but creamy with no unpleasant smell. The noodles are thinner than somen, extremely thin noodles. There are about 10 slices of Chashu, a large amount. A new ramen experience. Full and satisfied.

I came to eat at the top-ranked restaurant on Gurunavi with a friend. The ramen here is a bit divisive in terms of taste. It's a thick soup with hardly any pork bone or chicken broth smell. If you like regular tonkotsu ramen, I honestly wouldn't recommend it. The chashu is a thick slice with wood ear mushrooms and green onions! I also tried the curry replacement noodles. A recommended way to eat here is to order ramen with curry sauce, and if you still feel hungry, order a small portion of rice and put it in the soup to make curry porridge.

I arrived at the restaurant around 12:15 on a holiday. There was one person in line, but the staff had already confirmed the order in advance, so the operation was smooth and I was able to eat right away after entering. The tonkotsu soup was rich and delicious, and the curry replacement noodles surprisingly matched well, allowing me to enjoy a tasty meal.

I ordered the ramen for 900 yen (including tax) and it arrived around 11:40. I was able to sit at the counter right away without waiting in line. The soup was rich and creamy with pork bone broth. I heard you can also try it with curry next time, so I would like to do that. Thank you for the meal. Full of energy from Hakata!! Thank you very much!

A ramen shop located about a 5-minute walk from Gofukucho Station. I walked from Nakasu Kawabata Station and ordered ramen and curry with a half serving of extra noodles. The soup had a preconception of tasting like cream stew, which I could somewhat understand. The pork bone smell was minimal, closer to a tonkotsu broth. It was delicious. I also tried the curry with a half serving of extra noodles, which was rare and the color was a bit off. However, the taste itself was delicious. I might like this one better. They also offer curry roux, so I might try making it from scratch next time.

When I went to Fukuoka, I always visit this ramen shop. The creamy tonkotsu soup is one of a kind. It's a shame I couldn't try the curry flavor egg. Thank you for the meal! #Ramen #noodles #foods #ramenlover #noodlegram

Famous restaurant in Hakata without a signboard! Ordered the kikurage mushroom ramen, and the amount of kikurage mushrooms was amazing. The soup was well-emulsified, rich, and tasty without much odor. Added a curry replacement bowl to make it curry ramen, but the curry flavor was strong, so it might be better to enjoy the original soup first before adding it.

There was no noren (shop curtain) or signboard, so I was unsure if I was in the right place as I entered. I tried the simple ramen with kikurage mushrooms, chashu pork, and green onions, topped with a creamy white soup. The soup had a rich and sweet flavor typical of tonkotsu ramen, with a punch of pork bone essence. The thin noodles were perfectly cooked and paired well with the soup. I also ordered an extra serving of noodles, choosing curry flavor this time. The curry tonkotsu ramen was spicy and sweet, adding a nice twist to the meal.

I have always wanted to visit "Hakata Genki Ippai‼︎". In the past, it was known as a ramen shop with a very high hurdle, as the owner's love for ramen was mistakenly conveyed to consumers. However, I heard rumors that it has become easier to enter recently, so I went to try their famous white pork bone ramen. The shop has no sign and the glass is frosted, so you can't see inside, which may make first-time visitors feel uneasy. A sign that the shop is open is if there is a bucket in front of the shop. I entered the shop and ordered the wood ear mushroom ramen. The noodles were the thinnest I have ever had in Hakata ramen. The soup was a long-cooked white pork bone ramen. The rich aroma of the thick soup intertwined with the thin noodles tickled my nostrils. Personally, I prefer the soup to be a bit hotter, but I finished it in no time. It was a bowl that made me feel the depth of Hakata pork bone ramen.

During a quick business trip to Fukuoka, I decided to have lunch at a nearby Hakata Ramen shop. The milky white soup was incredibly rich, made from simmering pork bones to perfection. Surprisingly, the flavor was light and clear, prompting me to savor every sip. The noodles, typical of Hakata Ramen, were thin and almost like somen noodles in their softness. The addition of sliced mushrooms on top was a delightful touch. Despite the lack of a prominent sign, it was clear that this place was popular solely based on word of mouth. When it comes to Hakata Ramen, you can't miss the option for extra noodles. Although I don't usually go for it, I couldn't resist trying the curry-flavored extra noodles this time. The mild, homey Japanese curry paired surprisingly well with the rich soup, creating a unique and enjoyable dish. Located a bit of a walk from the station and lacking a clear sign, it may be tricky to spot this hidden gem of a restaurant. #FukuokaGourmet #FukuokaRamen #HakataRamen #HakataGourmet #HakataLunch #NakasuKawabataGourmet #NakasuKawabataLunch #NakasuKawabataRamen #HakataGenkiIppai #FoodiesUnite #RamenLovers

Visited Hakata Genki Ippai, which has high ratings on Tabelog, for a late lunch. It was a bit hard to find as there were no obvious ramen signs or flags, but I eventually located it nearby after parking. The standard ramen had a creamy and rich pork bone soup that was delicious, making me want to finish every drop. However, what caught my attention even more was the curry-flavored extra noodles. I left some soup behind and added the extra noodles to enjoy a two-part meal of pork bone curry ramen, which was fun and satisfying.

I visited Hakata Genki Ippai. It was my first visit. The shop doesn't have a sign, but if there is a blue bucket hanging, it means they are open. The soup is creamy, rich, and flavorful. The noodles are thin straight noodles, have a good texture, and taste delicious as they mix well with the soup. Thank you for the meal.

I chose the "Hakata Genki Ippai!!" Kikurage Chashu Ramen as my first meal in Fukuoka, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of kikurage mushrooms. The chashu was tender and delicious. I added a curry half serving of noodles. Even though I was already full from eating an in-flight meal, I heard that the curry noodles were delicious so I ordered the half serving. I put it in the remaining soup, and it was very tasty. I love curry and ramen, so it was like having two delicious meals in one visit. I'm glad I chose this place first. Thank you for the meal.

Here is a review of a ramen restaurant called "Ramen Hyakumeiten": When you enter the door of the office building, which looks like a multi-tenant building with no sign, you will find a ramen shop inside. I was able to sit down without waiting much as it was past lunchtime. I ordered the Kinoko (mushroom) Ramen for 1150 yen. The amount of mushrooms was overwhelming, and the creamy tonkotsu (pork bone) soup was delicious. I decided to add a half serving of recommended curry topping to turn it into Curry Ramen. The curry broth alone tasted like regular curry, but when added to the soup, it became a flavorful Curry Ramen. The tonkotsu soup was well balanced with the curry flavor. It was a satisfying meal.

A ramen shop with no signboard or drink menu, but with a strong commitment to their craft. Their rich soup is unparalleled, and the curly noodles, uncommon for Hakata ramen, perfectly absorb the soup's richness. Opt for the Kikurage Mushroom Ramen for an extra dose of delicious Kikurage mushrooms!

I thought about going to another restaurant, but decided to rush to the current one to avoid any regrets. It was my second visit. In the past, I was often turned away, but today it was not crowded, which was good. I ordered the Char Siu Ramen and Curry Half-portion (1400 yen). The price is a bit high for ramen, but the satisfaction level is more than worth it. I wonder when I can come again. Thank you for the meal.
