I bought a slightly larger can with lemon cookies for my friends, and a smaller can for myself to taste. The most popular flavor was cookies made with burnt butter, so I bought those. The raspberry cookies were also delicious and worth the price. The quantity was small, but the can and cookie shapes were cute. Thank you for the meal.

My son said we don't need to buy too many sweets this time, so it's okay. He seems to have something he wants, and he would be happier with that than with sweets. There are goods from "Go-Toubun no Hanayome" being sold at the Capcom Cafe in Ikebukuro, but I still wanted to get something small. I found some cute sablé cookies. They were cute and reasonably priced. They come in a package that looks like it could be on the ending of "Sazae-san," with cute sablé cookies inside. I like birds, so this is perfect for me! Wait, haven't I seen this bird before? (laughs)

I received some delicious sablé cookies as a souvenir, and I want to recommend them! These sablés have a crumbly texture that everyone loves! They have a strong buttery aroma and a soft, gentle sweetness that makes you feel warm inside when you eat them. They are a standard type of sablé, but there are also various other flavors available, like cheese and black pepper, which make me want to try them all! The sablés come in cute shapes based on different themes, and my favorite is the one shaped like the sea! You can find them at Nihonbashi Takashimaya, which is convenient. I highly recommend trying them out! #Sabléya @Nihonbashi ◾️Type: Western sweets ◾️Price: ¥1,000 to ¥2,000 ◾️Closed: None ◾️Food blog rating: 3.25

I found a "limited edition store" in the department store basement and couldn't resist trying it out (laughs). It was called "Atelier Box (Bird)" for 540 yen, with two plain, two matcha, and one burnt butter. Each piece had a cute shape. I was mainly interested in the burnt butter one, but all of them were delicious, with the plain one being my favorite. It was a great meal. Thank you.

First visit in June 2021 (No.2761). Lately, if I don't reach the planned number of topics for the day, I replenish at the easiest department store basement, so I visited here. This is a specialty store for traditional French sweets called "sablé", and the store is only located here (Nihonbashi Takashimaya), operated by "Matsukaze-ya" established in 1900 (Meiji 33). In the case of these types of stores, damage control is a priority, so I purchased the cheapest item below for this visit (laughs). Atelier Box (Maple) 540 yen. A cute gift box shaped like a house filled with individual sablé cookies. These sablé cookies are characterized by using "brown butter (beurre noisette)", and you can smell the fragrant aroma of brown butter. They are not too sweet and seem to be good for the body. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for takeout in the evening. I bought the Christmas sablé for 1404 yen. The packaging was very cute with different colored designs on both sides. When I opened it, I found colorful and cute sablé inside. Not only were the colors different, but the taste was also excellent, with the flavors of the ingredients really standing out. I bought it for home use, but I also thought it would make a perfect gift.

I purchased these sablé cookies from "Sabléya" at the Nihonbashi Takashimaya basement floor. I really love them! The packaging is cute, with a bird silhouette cut out on the paper case. Inside the simple tin, there are two types of sablé cookies: "Caramelized Butter" and "Butter Rich". Both are delicious, but personally, I prefer the crispy texture of the Caramelized Butter sablé. It's perfect for souvenirs. If you ever go to Nihonbashi, this is a shop worth stopping by.

I received a box of Sublimes that made me feel happy. There were flavors like raspberry, strawberry, matcha, burnt butter, and plain, and each flavor stood out. The raspberry flavor was especially good! It had a nice tartness to it. The Sublimes in the shape of doves were also lovely.

There was a specialty cookie shop that was introduced by Mairevi-san. It is a newly opened store in the September renewal of Takashimaya in Nihonbashi, and it is the only one in the country that is only available at Takashimaya in Nihonbashi. The concept is "Turning Happiness into Shapes," and the cookies are filled with cute shapes like birds, moons, and seashells. The cookies are named after their shapes, such as "Bird of Happiness," "Night Sky Moon," and "Seaside Shore." This time, I purchased the "Bird of Happiness (15 pieces for 1200 yen)" set. It mainly consists of bird-shaped cookies. There are 6 flavors (caramel almond, plain, matcha, raspberry, cocoa) and they are rich in butter flavor! The crispy texture is also good. With 6 different flavors, I was pleasantly surprised without getting bored. Personally, I found the raspberry flavor to be delicious. Although it is slightly expensive, the taste is authentic, making it suitable for gifts. Thank you for the meal.

Sableya@Nihonbashi Nihonbashi Takashimaya is a specialty store that turns happiness into shape. There are various themes and I was intrigued by all of them, but I ended up buying the two-can cookies. The "Happiness Bird" is plain and light! The four-leaf clover matcha, the fragrant flower raspberry, the bell cocoa, and the caramel almond spider all had a strong caramel flavor. The "Sunlight Filtering Through Trees" butterfly kinako melts in your mouth! Cloud almond cocoa, flower strawberry, plain droplet, burnt butter. The leaf matcha is rich and intense! These cookies brought happiness in the morning and happiness while eating.

This was also a shop that I had been curious about for a long time. I couldn't find it on my own last time, but Hako-san brought me here (lol). I bought two boxes of house-shaped cookies for home use (I think it was 500 yen + tax per box). In both boxes, there were small square-shaped cookies with burnt butter flavor. The plain one was in the shape of a bird, the matcha one was in the shape of a four-leaf clover, the cheese one was in the shape of a spiral shell, and the pepper salt one was in the shape of a shell. They had a crispy texture and all the flavors were quite delicious. They are the type of sablé cookies that I really like, and they look very cute. I like the special feeling of being able to purchase them only at Takashimaya in Nihonbashi. However, they are expensive (lol). I think they would make a nice gift because they are cute, but the recipient may not realize the price, so I think it's an item to choose carefully when giving as a gift. Ease of reservation - Likelihood to revisit: ★★★☆☆
I stopped by here just before going to Kyoto the other day. I bought a cute canned gift as a souvenir for the geisha at the photo shoot event I was going to participate in this time. I hope she likes it... Thank you for the meal~!!

I purchased it at Takashimaya in Nihonbashi. There were many options to choose from, but I was curious about "burnt butter" so I chose the one with that. Although there were other choices, I just went with that one. Lately, I've been seeing a lot of cut-out cookies everywhere. I'm not a big fan of them. So far, my favorite cookies are Cookie G and Yamanefrance's Armagnac Sablé. I haven't found a cut-out cookie that really stands out to me. When I bought this, it was indicated how many pieces were inside, but when I opened it, there were only 3 pieces of cheese and 2 of everything else, with more empty space than cookies. It was a bit disappointing. I wish the cookie tin was packed full of cookies. The taste was average. The burnt butter wasn't as good as I expected, but the cheese was delicious. It could be a cute souvenir though.

I tried the cookies from "sableya," a suble shop that opened its first store nationwide in the basement of Nihonbashi Takashimaya. Their concept is "turning happiness into shape." The cookies in the shape of doves, seashells, and houses are adorable. I bought a box of 5 cookies for around 500 yen, which included flavors like cheese, pepper, and more. I also received a cute cookie tin called "bird of happiness" as a souvenir. The flavors included plain, matcha, chocolate, burnt butter, caramel, and strawberry. They are bite-sized and easy to eat, and I quickly finished them all. The cookies are not rich like high-end butter cookies but have a gentle, crispy texture. They make a great little gift, although I find the cost per box of 5 individually wrapped cookies to be a bit high. I recommend getting the tin instead. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by when I visited Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. I decided to buy something as a reference for future souvenirs. I chose this shop on this day. While looking at the products, they let me taste some of them. I chose the smallest and cutest cookie tin. The price was a bit over 1000 yen, so it was an affordable price. For home use, there was also a more affordable paper box for about 540 yen. At home, I enjoyed the cookies with tea. "Bird of Happiness Cookie Tin" 1296 yen. There was no outstanding texture or taste, but overall, they were all delicious and the cute appearance was the best part. The burnt butter and plain types had a simple taste. The plain one had the gentlest taste and texture. The matcha had a slightly stronger flavor and texture. The raspberry had a good aroma and was delicious. I think it's a very good product to give as a gift to someone, not for home use.

A specialty store for sablé cookies. This shop, the first in the country, is located exclusively in Nihonbashi Takashimaya. I've been curious about it since it opened last fall, and finally got to visit. They offer four types of sablé cookies: Bird of Happiness, Moonlit Night Sky, Seaside, and Sunlight Filtering Through Trees. Each one is like a cute picture book. I purchased the most popular one, *Bird of Happiness, which comes with 15 cookies for ¥1296. The flavors include Burnt Butter, Plain, Matcha Caramel Almond, and Cocoa Raspberry. Each sablé is rich in butter and has a crispy texture. They are so light that you can easily eat multiple at once. The different shapes and flavors make it fun to enjoy each time, putting you in a cheerful mood. While they may be a bit pricey for everyday snacks, they are perfect for a leisurely home cafe experience on weekends. They would also make a great gift for friends who love cute sweets.

I visited in the afternoon on a regular day. I became a fan since purchasing last year's Halloween edition. This time, I bought the Atelier Box with the flavors of "Beach" and "Church". The "Beach" flavor is spicy with cheese, black pepper, and chili, suitable even for those who don't like overly sweet treats. The "Church" flavor has a strong taste of black tea and cocoa powder. Both are delicious shortbread cookies, perfect for souvenirs.

I visited in the afternoon on a regular day. Takeout only. There is a sable specialty store in the basement of Nihonbashi Takashimaya called "Sabureya". The sables come in very cute packaging and are really delicious. I bought them thinking it might just be about the looks, but they are really tasty! This time, I got the Halloween sables, which are a limited edition. The yellow pumpkin sables actually tasted like pumpkin. The cocoa sables are a must-try for chocolate lovers. I definitely want to try out the other varieties as well.

Takashimaya Nihonbashi's basement has opened a new store called Sabreya. It is located in the main building, not the newly opened shopping center. They offer various sets, with the bird-themed set being the most popular and currently sold out. I chose the set with a big moon in the center, which had lemon sablé cookies that I wanted to try. The set costs 1296 yen (tax included). The lemon sablé was tangy and delicious. They also offer almond sablé, cocoa sablé, tea sablé, and butter sablé. The cookies come in a cute small tin, and although the portion is small, they are tasty. It's a bit pricey to buy for yourself, but it would make a nice gift to receive.

Cute and delicious cookie tin. Some shops have cookies that look good but taste inconsistent or have a biased flavor, but here the overall balance is good. Earl Grey shortbread cookies ◎ Matcha shortbread cookies ◎ Strawberry jam cookies ◎

I purchased it at the Hankyu Department Store's Valentine's Fair. It's a butter sablé cookie, but it's a little too sweet? It's hard to describe... It wasn't really to my liking. I won't be buying it again.
