Opened on December 1st near Canal City in Nishi-Nakasu, this popular French restaurant "La Maison de la Nature Goh" by Chef Fukuyama, in collaboration with Chef Gaggan from Bangkok's "Gaggan", which has been ranked number one in Asia's Best Restaurants 50 multiple times. The restaurant has been a hot topic even before its opening, so I decided to visit. Reservations can be made through the restaurant's Instagram page via Tablecheck. The building, called "010 BUILDING" on the first floor, also houses a bar and theater, with plans to open "Goh" on the third floor next year. The restaurant interior is spacious, with table seating, counter seating surrounding the kitchen, and additional counter seating near the entrance. We were seated at the counter surrounding the kitchen, where plates with caricatures of the two chefs were displayed. The drink prices, including beer, were reasonable. The menu included: - Draft Beer (660 yen) - Panipuri (550 yen) served as a seat charge - Foie Gras and Duck Liver Mille-Feuille with Fig Chutney (1,430 yen) - Bagna Cauda Salad Pack with Anchovy Sauce and Yuzu Dressing (1,760 yen) - French Gratin with Belgian Fries, Onion Soup, Mornay Sauce, and Gruyere Cheese (1,100 yen) - Goan Pork BBQ with 24-hour marinated pork belly, Umeboshi Chutney, and Blanket Sauce (2,750 yen) - Steamed Rice (550 yen) - Spicy Crab Curry with Hokkaido Snow Crab and Coconut Curry (3,930 yen) The French and Indian fusion dishes were delicious, with excellent sauces, but the portion sizes were a bit small for the prices. The ambiance may vary depending on the seating, and I hope the menu will expand in the future. I also wanted to visit the bar on the second floor, but it was closed on the day of my visit. I look forward to trying it out when Goh opens next year. The total cost for two people was 14,613 yen (including service charge and tax, credit cards accepted).

Kushida Shrine Mae Station, 5 minutes walk, "GohGan". This time, I ordered a la carte after being seated. The order included (☆ indicates favorite items): ☆Black and White ¥800 ☆Masterpiece Manju Hakata Goh Lemon ¥1300 ☆Hakata specialty pork belly skewer (1 piece) ¥400 ☆GohGan Spicy Crab Curry (half) ¥1500. First, we had Panipuri as a complimentary appetizer. The Vichyssoise had micro herbs inside, with a pleasant spice that was a great start for summer. The Black and White changes ingredients depending on the season. This time, it was peach with a sauce kneaded with bamboo charcoal. Underneath was a beef consommé jelly, which was delicious and fitting for summer. The masterpiece Manju Hakata Goh Lemon is an arrangement of Hakata's famous confection, Torimon. It is recognized even by the original shop. It was delicious with tamarind fruit pulp and powder from Thailand and India, plum, and foie gras cream. As a fan of Torimon, I found this version to be very tasty, like an adult version of Torimon. The Hakata specialty pork belly skewer (1 piece) is an adaptation of Hakata's specialty dish with pineapple chutney. The fat was delicious, and it paired perfectly with the Pinot Noir from Chitose Winery. The GohGan Spicy Crab Curry (half) is a curry with red onions and green chili peppers. It had a gentle spiciness with a crab flavor and coconut milk creaminess. It went well with alcohol and was delicious. I thought I couldn't finish it alone, but the half size was perfect, and the price was also halved, which was great. I also added half a portion of rice for ¥250. It was freshly cooked and shiny. The atmosphere was very stylish, and even though I visited alone this time, the staff at the counter talked to me a lot, making it an enjoyable experience. Whether dining alone, as a couple, or in a group, a la carte or course, this wonderful restaurant is both delicious and convenient.

Located near Canal City Hakata, I was able to visit on weekends with same-day reservations. You can order a la carte, but there is also an option for a chef's choice course. The restaurant has 55 seats indoors (tables and counter) and 20 seats on the terrace. According to the website, "GohGan" is the first actual store where Chef Tsuyoshi Fukuyama, owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant "La Maison de la Nature Gou" in Fukuoka and Saga, and Chef Gaggan Anand, owner of the Indian restaurant "Gaggan Anand" in Bangkok, which has been ranked first in the "Asia's 50 Best Restaurants" four times, have teamed up. - Panipuri (appetizer) A popular snack in India. It contains a cool potato soup inside and is topped with cilantro. - Black and White The ingredients vary depending on the season, and this time it contained chicken thigh. It had a refreshing taste suitable for summer. - Seafood and Vegetable Pakora An Indian-style fried dish, similar to tempura. It had corn, eggplant, and squid tentacles. Because of the seafood, I imagined it would taste fishy. - Small Shrimp and Tofu Indian Nuggets They have a crumbly texture and a unique taste for nuggets. The nuggets were hot, and the sauce was cold, enhancing the enjoyment on the palate. - Tart Flambe A rectangular thin crust with evenly spread zucchini. It had incisions for easy eating. - Goan Pork BBQ Contrary to the image of BBQ, it was pork belly simmered for 24 hours with plum chutney. This was a particularly favorite dish. - Maitake Mushroom and Edamame Curry A white curry created by an Indian staff member. The edamame added a crunchy texture, and the curry itself was mild. The staff mentioned that ordering two items from each category (cold, hot, main) would be enough to satisfy one person. The same portion is likely to be served in the course menu. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed when ordering a la carte.

The image I received was a fusion of spicy and Japanese flavors. It felt like Japanese cuisine with a hint of spice in every dish. It was a hot day, almost the end of the rainy season, so the healthy Japanese food combined with sweat-inducing spices was perfect for the upcoming hot summer. Personally, I think creating the menu must be challenging, but I look forward to visiting again next time. By the way, the last curry had the perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness, which I personally loved.

Located in a prominent red building along the Nakagawa River near Canal City in Hakata, Fukuoka, is a new restaurant called GohGan, a collaboration between the famous French restaurant Goh and the world-renowned Thai modern Indian restaurant Gaggan Anand. Despite being popular locally, the restaurant seems to have some concerns. It aims to be a modern, global izakaya, but the atmosphere feels more like a trendy, Western-style pub. The interior uses cheap materials, giving it a somewhat tacky feel. The food, while tasty, lacks surprises and the course structure leaves much to be desired. The use of spices is not as skillful as expected, and the wine pairing was not ideal. Overall, the restaurant has potential but needs to elevate its concept and offerings to truly stand out.

Located along the Nakagawa River near Carnal City Hakata, Goh is a casual dining restaurant. While the main dining area on the 3rd floor offers a French-inspired menu, the 1st floor features a collaboration with an Indian chef who has worked in Thailand, creating a casual atmosphere with slightly higher prices. My husband and I ended up overspending on drinks, but you can still enjoy the restaurant with about half the budget. The dishes are all unique and delicious, with a creative twist. The lamb and curry were particularly outstanding. Goh is a new and innovative addition to the Nakasu area, with a fusion of flavors that will leave you impressed.

I thought it would be a light meal at a late hour, but the flavors were so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. We ordered the following dishes a la carte: - Complimentary appetizer - Pani Puri - Hakata Goh Lemon Spice Lamb Aglio e Olio - Lamb kebab with cucumber and yogurt sauce - Spicy crab curry (half portion) - Pasta The complimentary appetizer had a nice balance of acidity and spiciness. The Pani Puri had a sweet taste of candy, but with the richness of foie gras and the tanginess of tamarind and orange, it worked well as a dish. The Lamb Aglio e Olio had spicy lamb meatballs that were delicious, but the saltiness, richness, and spiciness of the olive oil were a bit lacking. The lamb kebab was tender, well-spiced, and tasty. The yogurt cucumber sauce added a refreshing touch, making it a dish you could eat endlessly. The crab curry was like a delicious Pappong curry you would eat in Thailand. When paired with pasta, it had even more of an international flavor. It is described as French & Indian cuisine, but it felt more like an innovative Thai dish.

"GohGan" is a restaurant where Chef Tsuyoshi Fukuyama, owner chef of "La Maison de la Nature Goh" and a frequent selection in "Asia's 50 Best Restaurants," teamed up with Chef Gaggan Anand, owner chef of Bangkok's Indian restaurant "Gaggan" which has been ranked 1st four times in "Asia's 50 Best Restaurants." I had heard about this collaboration many years ago and was looking forward to it, but with time passing and the pandemic, I thought it might have been forgotten. However, last year, a friend who is a regular at Goh told me about a new building being built in Nakasu Kawabata with "GohGan" on the 1st floor, a theater on the 2nd floor where you can watch world-class shows while dining, and "Goh" on the 3rd floor. There is also a bar. I visited the 1st floor "GohGan," which is the collaboration between Goh and Gaggan. The course menu is reasonably priced at 7,000 yen (excluding tax). Here is what I had: Chickpea Paneer Puri with potato soup and a spicy sauce. White peach mousse with charcoal-seared striped jack and shrimp ceviche in carrot sauce. Surprisingly, Hakata Orimon is used in the dish! Foie gras cream sandwiched with tamarind. Fried fish cooked at low temperature for 24 hours and then grilled over charcoal, served with pork barbecue cubes and blanket sauce with pickled plum chutney. For dessert, you can choose from the menu, and I chose the chocolate tart. The dishes were enjoyable, but not incredibly delicious. Perhaps many customers are satisfied after one visit, so some extra effort may be needed to encourage repeat visits. Amount spent: 9,000 yen Rating: 3 points 5 points: Definitely want to revisit!! 4 points: Would like to revisit if given the opportunity! 3 points: Willing to revisit. 2 points: Once is enough. 1 point: No need to go.

This is a trendy restaurant with a fantastic location and a magnificent building. It seems like they put a lot of effort into the design. It's a bold move. The fusion of Indian and French cuisine is innovative. However, it's a challenging combination to pull off, and I was curious about the execution. Collaborations like this can be tricky from a business perspective. The prices are reasonable, and each dish is delicious, but I found myself unsure of how to approach the food. It made me think about the complexity of running a business once again.

The other day, I went on a quick trip to Fukuoka ✈️ I visited GohGan, a collaboration between La Maison de la Nature Gou and GAGGAN from Bangkok. The spacious interior and terrace seating were really nice, especially with the good weather! The food was incredibly delicious and enjoyable, I loved it ❤️ The dessert from Tonnomon was unique to Fukuoka and interesting! After the course meal, we enjoyed some Indian street food at the terrace event, almost like a second stop! It was a wonderful memory with a beautiful sky, delicious food, and a fun time ☺️

After drinking at the bar and feeling like I needed more, I decided to come here. I was seated at the counter, but since I was in the mood for outdoor vibes, I moved to the terrace. I chatted with a female bartender while drinking, and then the owner himself came down to greet me. It was a unique and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for the great experience!

On this day, I had a pre-trip to Fukuoka via Osaka. I saw on Instagram stories that GohGan, where I had visited about a month ago, was having a pop-up event with Mr. Gagan Anand standing at the restaurant on April 18-19 for 2 days. It coincided with my business trip, so I immediately made a reservation through TableCheck and decided to visit. When making the reservation, I chose the GohGan Omakase course instead of a la carte. When I arrived at the reserved time, the restaurant was full of energy with every seat taken! I was seated at the end of the counter and the course started. Below are the dishes that were served in order: 1. Nieva York Pet-Nat 2021 - A sparkling wine from Castile and Leon, Spain. 2. Panipuri - A starter similar to an amuse-bouche with spiced Vichyssoise inside. 3. Kanpachi Ceviche - Peruvian-style marinated fish with Kyushu carrots, yuzu, and octopus fritters. 4. Hakata Goh-ri-mo-n - A dish by GohGan using Hakata Goh-ri-mo-n with foie gras paste, tamarind, and yuzu powder. 5. Black & White - Charcoal mousse and new onion mousse with sea urchin on consomme jelly. 6. Alexandre Bain Mademoiselle M2017 - A Sauvignon Blanc from Loire. 7. A dish with squid, potatoes, rapeseed flowers, and Chipotle sauce. 8. Lamb Kebab - The main course from my previous visit. 9. GohGan Seafood Curry & freshly cooked white rice - A special version of GohGan Spicy Crab Curry with snow crab, squid, clams, and prawns. 10. Seasonal fruits and sorbet - Featuring amaou strawberries, amaou strawberry sorbet, rosehip jelly, and basil granita. 11. Ureshino orange-flavored tea. The course was delicious and enjoyable, but surprisingly, I didn't see Mr. Gagan there, only the sous chef and sommelier were present. Instead, I had a commemorative photo with a Gagan doll that cost a whopping 300,000 yen! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I finally got to visit this restaurant that I've always wanted to come to. Instead of a course menu, I ordered a la carte. It's a very sophisticated atmosphere at the restaurant. The foie gras sandwich that paid homage to Okinawa's "tonkotsu" was really unique and delicious. The firefly squid and potatoes were tasty. The crab curry was spicy and delicious. I also had other dishes but forgot to take photos. Personally, I think the curry was the most delicious. It was around 3600 yen, but it had plenty of crab so it was worth it.

I had heard about the collaboration between La Maison de la Nature Goh and Asia's No. 1 restaurant, Gaggan, but finally managed to visit. The location and atmosphere are great, and the balance between price and quality is surprisingly good. It's sure to be a hit for a girls' night out! It might be better to go with the guys before it gets too popular. The theme is "easy kaya" (izakaya), which is perfect for enjoying with friends. I couldn't help but joke about the impressive Hakata motsunabe dish. Next time, I'll try the a la carte menu.

There is a genre called Modern Indian cuisine that fuses Indian cuisine with other cuisines, and one of the globally famous restaurants in this genre is Gaggan (now Gaggan Anand). Located in Bangkok, Thailand, it is a popular restaurant that is hard to make reservations for. When I tried to go there during my visit to Thailand, I couldn't get a reservation, and even trying to go for lunch without a reservation was unsuccessful. In the end, I got a glimpse of Gaggan's style at a different restaurant run by a chef from Gaggan. However, it was still an interesting and delicious experience. Another restaurant called Gaggan, started by a collaboration between the chef from Gaggan and a French chef from Fukuoka, has received mixed reviews from food enthusiasts. To see for myself, I visited the restaurant alone. The stylish restaurant along the river had a great location. The menu mainly consisted of à la carte dishes, which I preferred over a set course menu. Additionally, they offered half-size portions for solo diners, making it more affordable than expected. The meal started with a unique twist on pani puri, called GFFC, which was a fried chicken marinated using Gaggan's recipe. It was delicious and enjoyable to eat with your hands. For the main course, I chose the Spicy Crab Curry with pasta made from wheat produced in Hakata. The curry was a harmonious blend of creamy and spicy flavors, with generous amounts of crab meat providing a satisfying texture. The pasta paired well with the creamy curry, creating a delicious combination. For dessert, I had a Masala Chai flavored Crème Brûlée, which was a fusion of French and Indian flavors. There were other dishes on the menu that incorporated Hakata's specialties into a modern Indian style, which piqued my interest. While it may not fully satisfy those expecting a truly modern Indian experience, the casual nature of being able to enjoy your favorite dishes à la carte is a delightful aspect of the restaurant. Such restaurants that offer this style of cuisine are still rare and valuable, making it a great choice for special occasions like anniversary dates.

This is my first visit to this restaurant near the canal that I was curious about. They offer a la carte options, but this time I ordered a course meal. The course meal with one bottle of champagne costs around 11,000 yen per person. The curry was delicious! I also found it interesting that they used local ingredients in some of their dishes.

Today is Fukuoka. I finished my work at the hotel and now it's time for dinner! I headed to a popular restaurant located in the futuristic 010 Building along the Naka River, Nada no Kawa Bridge. On the first floor of this building is GohGan, a collaborative restaurant by Go Fujita, who has been ranked in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants for 6 consecutive years, and Gaggan Anand, who has also been ranked first. Since I was on a business trip to Fukuoka, I decided to visit this restaurant. It was easy to make a reservation online a few days ago. The building is quite impressive with its bright red walls, and once you enter and proceed towards the back, you will find the entrance to GohGan. The interior of the restaurant is different from the building's exterior, with a stylish grayish design, most likely by architect Nobuo Araki, who also designs SOPH. stores. When I mentioned my reservation, I was led to a counter seat. To my surprise, the sommelier who served me was the same person I had seen on Hulu's "How to Walk in Fukuoka Prefecture" with Watanabe, where Maison de la Nature Gou was featured as the second stop. I started with a Domaine Marc Tempe Cremant D'Alsace Brut Nature NV, which was refreshing and delicious. The complimentary appetizer was Panipuri, which had a unique twist with French & Indian Easy-Kaya. It was a delightful dish with spices and chickpeas. I then tried the half-size Cold Amberjack and Fennel Liquid Salad, which was a perfect combination of amberjack, wasabi, salted lemon paste, and fennel. The flavors were amazing. The Sea and Mountain dish was visually appealing, with layers of foie gras, duck liver, and persimmon chutney on a crispy pie. I also enjoyed a-iuto! 2021, an Italian orange wine with grapefruit and honey notes that I loved. The GohGan Fried Chicken, marinated by Gaggan himself, was juicy and flavorful. The Lamb Kebab, another recommendation, was perfectly cooked and had a delicious blend of spices. Lastly, the GohGan Spicy Crab Curry with freshly cooked rice was a delightful combination of coconut-based curry with Hokkaido snow crab and a side of yogurt sauce. I had a fantastic dining experience at GohGan, with a fusion of French and Indian innovative cuisine. The option of half-size dishes made it easy for solo diners to enjoy a variety of flavors. I look forward to visiting again to try more dishes that caught my eye. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

As someone who has been visiting for over 10 years, I am happy to see Goh constantly evolving. It would be great if they could open in the Kanto region...

■ GohGan ■ Address: 1-4-17 Sumiyoshi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, 010 BUILDING Opened in December 2022, GohGan is located on the first floor of a complex facility specializing in food and entertainment, next to Canal City along the Nakagawa River. The restaurant was created through a collaboration between Chef Fukuyama of the renowned French restaurant "La Maison de la Nature Goh" and Chef Gaggan of the world-famous restaurant "Gaggan," resulting in an innovative fusion of Indian and French cuisine that has attracted foodies from around the world. The dishes ordered included: - Appetizers - Hakata Goh Lemon - Black and White - GohGan Fried Chicken - GohGan Spicy Crab Curry - Freshly cooked rice - Indian bread - CC Chocolate Tart with Caviar - Coconut Blancmange The Hakata Goh Lemon, a special dish made with Hakata's famous Goh Lemon, was particularly delicious with foie gras and tamarind inside. All the dishes were fantastic, and I highly recommend trying them all, perhaps with a group to conquer the entire menu! I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Fukuoka. In 2022, next to Canal City in Fukuoka, the 010BUILDING was opened. Inside, you will find Gaggan from Bangkok, which has been ranked first in Asia's BEST50 four times, and Nature Goh, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Fukuoka. The two owner chefs have teamed up to create a real store, making it a must-visit destination. The building stands out with its red-themed entrance, creating an exciting atmosphere as soon as you enter. The first floor houses the collaboration store of the two chefs, GohGan. The second floor features an event theater and a bar produced by the world's best bartender, Kaneko-san. The third floor is home to Goh, which has relocated from Nakasu and now has a new name. This time, I visited the first floor. There are counter seats, table seats, and private rooms available. You can order a la carte, allowing you to choose what you want to eat based on your mood for the day. Some items even come in half portions, making it friendly for solo diners. The drink menu includes affordable wine bottles, glasses, shochu, and sake. I left the choice of drink to Hamada-san, who served us at the counter, and started with a glass of champagne. The dishes I ordered were chickpea cold soup (appetizer), bagna cauda (half portion), shrimp cocktail (half portion), chicken (half portion), and spicy crab curry (half portion). With two glasses of wine and champagne, the total was around 8000 yen. It was my first visit, but the atmosphere was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the wine selection. I dropped by around 9 pm this time, and I thought it was a nice way to spend the evening. I will definitely visit again for the luxurious ambiance and service.

Located across from Canal City, along the river. It is on the first floor of a building that looks like a spaceship. While inheriting the concept of the former Goh's shop, the menu is quite elaborate with a fusion of spices, all served a la carte in a casual atmosphere. The food is very delicious and they have a wide selection of wines by the glass, but it's a bit pricey!!! I wonder if they are targeting inbound customers.
