Today I visited here. This is a sister shop of Amamudakotan, located in a place with better access near the station compared to there. It was just before 3 pm on a weekday, and there were several customers, but there was not a long line. In such a situation, I decided to try these two items:
- Dako Mecca Burger 520 yen (excluding tax)
This sandwich was sold out when I visited Amamudakotan before. It has a bun with grains, overflowing with ingredients. Purple cabbage, pumpkin, carrots, eggplant, and a beef patty made of 100% beef. First, the fragrant bread dough was delicious, with the flavors of barley and sesame. Then, the powerful and voluminous patty, and the vegetables with a strong presence. It was incredibly satisfying. I think it's the highest level of bakery hamburger, with everything in perfect balance with the bread. In the end, you'll think, "Oh, this bread was delicious..." It's a must-buy if you find it!
- Thick-Cut Bacon Gratin 420 yen (excluding tax)
I was drawn to the thick-cut bacon and decided to buy it. The bread dough is semi-hard, with thick-cut bacon, tomato, and bechamel sauce. The bechamel sauce tastes milky with a hint of acidity, maybe cream cheese? The bacon is juicy, with sweet fatty parts. Sliced tomatoes to drain the fat, the sauce to bring it all together, and the bun to wrap it all up. This was also very delicious. Thank you for the meal!
Once again, I was amazed by this shop... Amamudakotan is truly impressive. I hope they come to Shizuoka someday... For now, I plan to visit the one in Omotesando soon.
