Today I visited here. This is a sister shop of Amamudakotan, located in a place with better access near the station compared to there. It was just before 3 pm on a weekday, and there were several customers, but there was not a long line. In such a situation, I decided to try these two items: - Dako Mecca Burger 520 yen (excluding tax) This sandwich was sold out when I visited Amamudakotan before. It has a bun with grains, overflowing with ingredients. Purple cabbage, pumpkin, carrots, eggplant, and a beef patty made of 100% beef. First, the fragrant bread dough was delicious, with the flavors of barley and sesame. Then, the powerful and voluminous patty, and the vegetables with a strong presence. It was incredibly satisfying. I think it's the highest level of bakery hamburger, with everything in perfect balance with the bread. In the end, you'll think, "Oh, this bread was delicious..." It's a must-buy if you find it! - Thick-Cut Bacon Gratin 420 yen (excluding tax) I was drawn to the thick-cut bacon and decided to buy it. The bread dough is semi-hard, with thick-cut bacon, tomato, and bechamel sauce. The bechamel sauce tastes milky with a hint of acidity, maybe cream cheese? The bacon is juicy, with sweet fatty parts. Sliced tomatoes to drain the fat, the sauce to bring it all together, and the bun to wrap it all up. This was also very delicious. Thank you for the meal! Once again, I was amazed by this shop... Amamudakotan is truly impressive. I hope they come to Shizuoka someday... For now, I plan to visit the one in Omotesando soon. *Visit Rating: 3.49

AMAM DACOTAN is a popular bakery with its main store in Hakata, Fukuoka, and a sister store in Omotesando, Tokyo. Located near Hakata Station, this bakery is always crowded with a continuous line of customers. Although I visited during off-peak hours, it wasn't too crowded. The bakery also has a cafe, but I was there to buy breakfast for the next day, so I didn't use it this time. The interior is stylish with many unique decorations, and a variety of original breads are displayed. This time, since I was in Hakata, I chose the "Mentaiko Tomato Baguette" made with mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and the "Croque-monsieur" which I recently discovered and found delicious. The Mentaiko Tomato Baguette had a generous amount of mentaiko and tomato, creating a perfect balance of flavors in a hard bread. The Croque-monsieur had a fluffy texture with a generous amount of creamy white sauce. I was satisfied and ready to start my day with these delicious breads.

The famous Mari Tottso's Amamudakotan and I'm Donuts are both very popular in Tokyo, with long lines. The main store in Fukuoka is also very popular. I visited the sister store near Hakata Station on a weekday morning to eat in. Luckily, I was able to enter in a few minutes, but I quickly realized that there were only delicious breads available, and it was going to be difficult to choose. I bought both the hard and soft types of bread, and both were delicious, with tasty ingredients and sauces. However, they were a bit difficult to eat. Nevertheless, I enjoyed them without worrying about that. It was a long time since I had encountered such an exciting and delicious bakery.

I went to the sister store without knowing the taste of the main store. I decided to line up early just in case, but the line wasn't that long after all. The interior of the store had a trendy western feel. The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) French bread was filled to the brim and was lovely, although a bit oily. The BBQ bacon sandwich was even oilier, but it was delicious! The brioche series had an incredibly delicious filling with the perfect texture. The sweetness wasn't overpowering, showing their skill in bread making. I wanted to try the maritozzo that would be ready around 10 o'clock, and there were other breads scheduled for around 12 o'clock. I felt the urge to take a bite of every bread in front of me. When I got home, the carrot cake was moist and mushy, I wonder why haha. I wish this shop was closer to my home, can't wait to go back! ♡

The atmosphere seems to be turning gloomy and there wasn't even the usual line forming, so I revisited after a long time. There were no new pastries, and with prices around 500 yen each, it's not a place I feel like lining up for. I was disappointed that my favorite Basque cheese maritozzo was discontinued and has not made a comeback.

On a Sunday morning, I visited shortly after the opening. I thought there would be a longer line, but there were only a few groups outside, and I got in within 10 minutes. Inside, it was as fun as rumored, with sausages being grilled over charcoal right in front of me for hot dogs - so enjoyable! However, it was a bit smoky, and the smell definitely stuck to my clothes. I think one hot dog was 380 yen. The anchovy cabbage, mushroom, and ham sandwich was incredibly delicious, and even though it was morning, I felt like I definitely wanted to eat it with white wine. It may be a bit pricey for everyday bread, but it's worth the occasional indulgence. Next time, I'll try the hot dog that I've heard is delicious. Thank you for the meal!

This is a sister store of Amamudakotan, a thriving restaurant. The interior is creatively designed with stylish objects. First-time visitors may be overwhelmed by the atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the taste is excellent. The dough and ingredients are carefully selected. Since it is a take-out place, we did not receive any service other than payment, but there were no issues. There is a small eat-in space, but it was very crowded.

I went in the evening before and they were sold out, but this time I went in the morning on a weekday and was able to get in without much of a wait! They also had a morning menu inside that I want to try next time. This time, I only did takeout. The cinnamon roll was delicious. Everything else was also tasty.

I visited this place when I stayed in Fukuoka. It was a Friday morning in August, a little after 9 o'clock, and there was a line of about 20 people outside the shop. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was able to enter. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by freshly grilled sausages. From there, it was all about bread, bread, bread. They all looked delicious, so I had a hard time choosing, but I ended up getting a Dako Mecca Dog, mentaiko (spicy cod roe) French bread, fried horse mackerel, and melon bread (I forgot the other one). They were all delicious. I will definitely visit again when I go to Fukuoka.

I learned about this bakery from my eldest daughter. The main store, Amamudakotan, is located near Ohori Park in Fukuoka, and the second store in Omotesando, Tokyo, is always crowded with customers. This location is a sister store where you can dine in. They have a wide variety of photogenic bread, and it's easy to end up buying too much. This is the original store of the Marron Glacé. Today, I was planning to have breakfast here before heading back to Saitama. I checked out of the hotel, stored my luggage in a locker at Hakata Station, and planned to come here for breakfast. They open at 8 am. However, due to the forecasted rain, I decided to visit Ohori Park first, then checked out, stored my luggage at Hakata Station, and arrived here around 9:30 am. To my surprise, there was a long line! Finally, I was able to enter the store around 10 am. I lined up, chose and bought some bread, and then lined up again for dine-in with a one drink per person policy. I couldn't handle it. I ended up buying coffee at a nearby Lawson and ate in the park. The food was delicious, but the freshly baked sausages inside the store looked tempting! I wonder if they would reheat them for dine-in customers? I'm not sure if it's better to reheat them at home. Since I had decided to only buy two pieces to take back on the plane, I had to stop myself from buying more. Ohori Park was great. I will share some images of Ohori Park. When traveling, Google Maps is useful for finding your destination, and taking the local bus is convenient in Fukuoka city. There are many bus routes in Fukuoka city.

First visit. I lined up at 9 am during the Obon period and entered the store in about 30 minutes. Even inside, I lined up to choose bread and then lined up at the register. There is an eat-in space at the back of the register. Items purchased: Lamb Fableton 313 yen, Fig Milk Tea 367 yen, Dakomeka Dog 529 yen, Dakomeka Burger 562 yen, Gruyere Ham 529 yen, Strained Yogurt 248 yen. The Dakomeka Burger seems to be a popular item with the restaurant's name on it. It was packed with grilled carrots, eggplant, pumpkin, purple cabbage, and minced meat, giving it a satisfying texture. The sweetness of the grilled vegetables was very delicious! Gruyere Ham is a simple sandwich with cheese and ham on a hard bread. A personal favorite! The thick ham paired with the hard cheese and bread was excellent! It reminded me of French bread. I want to eat it again. There were many deli breads, so many choices that it was overwhelming. I can understand why people line up to buy them.

During the height of the Obon season at 9:30 in the morning, there was already a line of about 20 people. Inside the shop, there were also about 10 customers with trays. I was prepared to wait for about an hour, but surprisingly I was able to enter in about 30 minutes. Luckily, since it was still morning, we were able to line up in the shade of the building. Upon entering, there was a display of Dako Mecca Dog sausages lined up and looking delicious. There were so many varieties that I ended up choosing "Shrimp Fry Dog," "Tomato Rustic," "Cinnamon Roll," and "Sweet Bean Paste Condensed Milk Butter." But then, I couldn't resist reaching for the "Banana Pudding" that was placed near the register. The Shrimp Fry Dog with its vibrant purple cabbage is appetizing and helps ease the guilt of eating fried food. The Sweet Bean Paste Condensed Milk Butter has a texture that I really like. There was a guide with pictures and names of the bread that came with it, so I now have something else to look forward to.

I had heard rumors that there was a long line, so I was prepared when I went, but I was able to enter without waiting. Since I am traveling, I was conscious of buying only two pieces that I could finish eating. I ate the mentaiko dried tomato on the spot and it was delicious. It was smaller and easier to eat than the one at Dakota in Omotesando, and the flavor of the dried tomato changed, making it delicious until the end, so I bought another one. The mushroom bucket I bought was a bit tough when I ate it at night. Dakota's chain is definitely delicious.

- White chocolate and espresso - Mentaiko France - Thick-cut bacon gratin - Bought a canelé-style pudding with a texture like a mix between pudding and bread. The thick-cut bacon hands were quite hard. Recommended for those who like hard bread. My favorites among the items I bought were the white chocolate and espresso, and the thick-cut bacon gratin. Truly a popular shop with delicious flavors. I was aiming to buy a Maritozzo as it is the sister shop that sparked the trend, but I had to give up due to the long line starting at 10 am. There were plenty of sandwich-type breads other than Maritozzo. [Eat-in option] While paying for the bread, you will be asked if you want to eat in. The eat-in option is a one-drink order system. You can choose your favorite drink menu. There is an eat-in space right after the bread checkout counter. Many people wanted to eat in, and there were a few people waiting. (I was the fifth in line so I got in smoothly.) There is no service for warming up the bread. [Waiting time, etc.] The shop opens at 8 am, and I lined up 15 minutes before that. At 8 am, there were about 5 groups in front of me and 15 groups behind me. [Turnover rate] There were quite a few people lining up, but the flow of customers from left to right is good, so I think the turnover rate is high! (You might have to wait a bit if you want to eat in.) By the way, it was super crowded right after opening, but maybe because it was a weekday, there was no one in line around 9 am.

It was a visit just past 1 pm on a regular day, so it wasn't too crowded and I was able to enter smoothly. There were many types of bread, all looking delicious and exciting! However, the store was abnormally hot. I'm not sure if the air conditioning was broken or if it was because they were cooking sausages. Either way, it was impossible to eat in, so I decided to get takeout. The bread I bought, both sweet and savory, was delicious, so I would like to try more, but maybe when it cools down.

People were already lining up before 8 am on a regular day, but once the shop opened, the line moved smoothly so there wasn't much of a wait. There were many delicious-looking breads lined up, making you want to try them all. This place is known for stuffing their deli sandwiches with overflowing ingredients. Although I can't remember the name clearly, I bought the following items: Cloudsen ham and egg croque-madame, thick-cut bacon gratin sandwich, homemade ham and cheese sandwich, Amazon cacao chocolate-colored bread, and cream bread. The popular Maritozzo is apparently sold starting around 10 am. The cafe was crowded, so I took the items to go, but they were all delicious. There were so many options that I couldn't try them all, so I want to go back regularly!

I have been to the main store and Omotesando store of Clock Madame Amamudakotan, so this is my third visit to a Dakomekka affiliated store! I used to think that the Omotesando store was all about appearances, but this time it was great! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. It's not just a regular bakery, they also pay attention to the overall ambiance which makes it enjoyable. I want to go back again and again!

Today, I had breakfast at Hakata KITTE, and even though I was already full, my companion insisted on going to the famous DACOMECA near Hakata Station where there is always a long line. Luckily, there was no line when we arrived, so we were able to enter the shop easily. Inside, there were many delicious breads on display. There was an eat-in area where you could order drinks. I ordered a sandwich with prosciutto and corn croquette, while my wife ordered honey toast and a cafe latte. My sandwich had a hard bread with tasty prosciutto and corn croquette. My wife enjoyed her meal so much that she bought some breads like blueberry, mentaiko tomato, Amazon cacao, fig, and milk tea for dinner!

Adam Dakota's sister store that I've always wanted to visit! There were so many types of bread to choose from, it was hard to decide! The bread was delicious!! But I didn't like the coffee because it was too acidic!! ⭐️5⭐️I want to go back. I love it so much that I don't want to tell anyone about it. ⭐️4⭐️I would recommend this place if asked. ⭐️3⭐️I might go again. ⭐️2⭐️I'd prefer to try a different place next time. ⭐️1⭐️Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. Instagram @tokyo_gourmet_yokutaberuko. I only introduce restaurants with a rating of 4 or 5 stars on Instagram.

Stylish and lively restaurant with a great reputation. Visited during a trip to Fukuoka and there was a line outside after 9 o'clock. Inside, they were grilling sausages and making hot dogs right in front of us, so we couldn't resist ordering one. Also ordered a bread with sweet red bean paste and condensed milk, both were delicious. The hot dog was definitely worth trying! The interior of the restaurant was also stylish and overall it was a great place to visit.
