I felt like eating curry, so I went to one of the top 100 curry restaurants in 2020, "Rojiura Curry Tiki" in Fukuoka City. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I used my smartphone's navigation to find it. I was surprised to find it in such a back alley! It was a holiday at 11:00 am, and my friend and I visited for the first time. Since the opening time was 10:30 am, the counter seats on the first floor were full, so we were seated at the counter on the second floor. The seats were a mix of counter and table seats. Soon after, the place was full. As a measure against COVID-19, hand sanitizers were available, the windows were slightly open, and the staff disinfected the seats as soon as customers left. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Curry [900 yen, tax included] as recommended for first-time visitors. It was served in just 5 minutes. The first bite was not too spicy and delicious. However, as time passed, it became increasingly spicy. Even though I ordered the normal level, it seemed to be full of spices, and I started sweating profusely from my forehead. The well-cooked chicken was also delicious. To reduce the sweat caused by the spiciness of the curry, the ice cream and ice water tasted even better. I was full after the 300g lunch. It was a cost-effective 2-coin curry lunch. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

Hello everyone in September 2023! It's been a while since I visited Hakata and I'm super excited. For lunch, I went to a popular local spot that serves flavorful curry in a renovated traditional house tucked away in a charming alley. The first floor has counter seats while the second floor has table seating. Today's curry options were Lamb Keema and Pork Vindaloo, but I decided to go for their classic dish - the Chicken Curry with maximum spices. It was really spicy! Oh, it's so hot! But the flavor is amazing. The spice level is off the charts, perfect for those who love spicy food. The chunks of chicken were also very generous and tasty. What a great find in this atmospheric curry shop in a quaint alley of a traditional house. Delicious!

I ordered the Spicy Chicken Curry with less rice for 950 yen. It's a Tiki classic, recommended for first-timers. I arrived at 12:00 and was able to sit without waiting. The person who came after me ordered "Keema, 3 pieces" and everyone else ordered the same. Ordering 3 pieces adjusts the spiciness level, and you can add up to 3 free Thai green chillies (Prik Kee Nu) to make it even spicier. You need to specify the number when ordering. In other words, the Keema I had was at the maximum spiciness for free. I would like to try it again next time. Thank you for the meal. Thank you, Tiki!

First visit. I always smelled a good scent during work, so I decided to visit. Great location, truly an alleyway. Oh, only one person in line! Let's go check it out. I was seated with almost no wait. Seems like they have a fast turnover. You have to order when you enter. I ordered the Spicy Curry for 950 yen. I was guided to the second floor, which had a nice atmosphere. The customers ranged from businessmen to shoppers, quite a diverse crowd. Oh, here it comes. Well, of course curry is fast. Simple curry. Is that Thai rice? Fluffy rice with a light sauce. Hmm, is it the special Garam Masala spice? I'm not a curry expert, so I'm not sure. It made me sweat a bit. The chicken had a good texture. It might be popular with those who like spicy food. I personally prefer ●oCo I. Thanks for the meal. Recommended for experiencing an alleyway vibe. Oh, on my way out, there were 6 people in line! The aftertaste left my mouth so HOT!

Fukuoka's Tanda Curry has the highest score on Tabelog, so I was curious and went there! Today I had the lamb and pea keema curry. It was so delicious! Really delicious! No complaints, it's in the 4-point range for sure! I got the spice level to the max, so it was a bit too spicy, but really delicious! I may not have the words to describe it, but it's delicious! I've decided to become a regular here for sure!

Tiki in the back alley curry I arrived before 10 o'clock, so it was just right for the 10:30 opening of this store. I was the first customer and ordered the Spice Mix Chicken Curry with an iced coffee. The Spice Max Chicken Curry for 1000 yen was served with Basmati rice. The spiciness and aroma were excellent, and the Basmati rice and cilantro paired well with the curry. Although it looks like a Western-style curry, it is different from the spicy curries nowadays, with just the right amount of oil and delicious taste. The iced coffee for 100 yen is also a must-order. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I visited a curry specialty restaurant located in a back alley. It's really hidden, you might miss it if you don't have any prior information. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, with not too many seats available. Customers ranged from individuals to groups, and there were people waiting, so it seems to be popular. I ordered the "Spicy Chicken Curry" with a hot spring egg added, as it was recommended for first-timers. The menu offers two basic curry options and three daily curry specials (on this day, it was Lamb & Pea Keema Curry). You can adjust the spiciness, rice portion (reducing is free, extra is charged), and choose to have coriander or not. The taste was just right with the perfect amount of spices. It wasn't too overpowering like some other specialty shops. The spiciness was moderate, maybe a little bit hot. The hot spring egg added just the right touch. The rice was Thai rice, long and slender. The curry wasn't too thick, so it paired well with this type of rice. The chicken pieces were large and tender, easy to cut with a spoon. The coriander added a refreshing touch, but if you're not a fan, it's best to inform the staff beforehand. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place today to try the daily special "Lamb & Peas Keema Curry," but upon entering, I was told, "Sorry, it's sold out!" (laughs) Since I was already craving curry, I decided to stay and ordered the popular Spicy Chicken Curry instead! You can adjust the spiciness level by adding 1-10 green chili peppers when ordering, or use the red spice on the table to adjust. The curry arrived in about 3 minutes, with a simple and appealing presentation. It had a great aroma of spices! The first bite was filled with the delicious flavor of chicken and the perfect blend of spices. The default rice portion is 300g, but I finished it all in no time! The atmosphere of the restaurant is still retro and quirky, which I love as a fan of Showa-era retro style. Thank you for the meal!

On Saturday at 10:45, the restaurant was almost full so we were seated on the second floor. I chose the Lamb Keema Curry from today's curry menu. It was a bit pricey at 1200 yen. It was quite spicy, so if you don't like spicy food, you might want to avoid it. It's a curry that would appeal to those who like ethnic curries. The rice was firm and made with long, thin Thai rice, showing their attention to detail. Personally, I preferred the Spicy Chicken Curry, which is a popular choice at this restaurant. I finished the meal with an iced coffee for 100 yen. There are no toilets on the second floor, and payment is accepted in cash or PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

My wife and I had lunch together, which is rare. Recently, my wife has been really into curry, so we've been enjoying going to different curry restaurants. It's fun to have a common hobby like this. We were prepared to wait, but luckily there were two seats available so we were able to get in. I ordered the daily special keema curry, and it was served quickly despite the crowd. The keema curry, with whole spices, was delicious and addictive. I topped it with some free pickles to adjust the spiciness, and it was perfect. This curry restaurant had a high turnover rate, so we didn't have to wait long to get in, and the meal was under 1000 yen. It was a great experience and the food was delicious. It's definitely a good restaurant.

I had a lunch appointment with someone during the day, but they were running about an hour late from the original 11 o'clock plan. Since I wouldn't have time to eat after the meeting, I decided to grab lunch first. Luckily, I remembered that this place was open and headed there around 10:50. I felt a bit anxious about meeting the person later, but I thought, well, I'll just wear a mask, and it'll be fine. I entered the restaurant and immediately ordered today's curry, "Chicken and Chickpea Keema Curry," with extra rice. It arrived in about 3 minutes. I was so eager to eat that I forgot to take a picture before digging in, but I managed to snap a photo of the menu. Now, about the curry - it was even more delicious than the chicken curry I had last time, with a flavor that surpassed the spiciness. I couldn't stop eating as the spoon kept going back for more. Squeezing lemon over the rice added a refreshing touch to the already tasty dish. The occasional crunchy texture of the chicken cartilage was a fun addition. The long and slender rice grains, common in South Asian cuisine, paired perfectly with the Keema curry. Personally, I preferred today's Keema curry over the regular chicken curry I had before. Before I knew it, I had devoured the whole meal without even remembering to drink water. I was sweating by the end from the heat of the dish. Since it's a popular spot, I didn't linger and settled the bill quickly before leaving. It was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had a Spicy Chicken Curry at Curry Tiki in the alley near Fukuoka Daimaru. The rice was aromatic Indica rice that went well with the curry, and the cilantro added color and a spicy aroma that whetted my appetite. The spiciness and flavor were excellent. There may be a bit of a wait, but the turnover is quick so you can enjoy your meal without stress.

I was taken by a friend to this restaurant located in a back alley, so you would never find it on your own. We went up to the second floor and ordered the chicken curry. The chicken curry that was served quickly had a spicy aroma! Let's dig in. It's spicy! But so delicious! I couldn't stop eating, drinking water, and repeating. Even though I'm not a fan of curry, I could eat this one, so it's definitely a great restaurant. I will come back again! Thank you for the meal.

The curry was thick and oily, more like a European style curry. I thought it would be more like Indian or Asian curry because of the various reviews mentioning spices. I tried the basic "Spicy Chicken Curry." It was spicy. Delicious, but it hits you hard. It's oily... and is it just me, or is the cardamom too strong!? It was crowded with salarymen during weekday lunch hours. With this richness and portion size, it makes sense that it's geared towards working men.

I visited Tiki, a restaurant near my office that I had been curious about. With the help of Google, I finally found it after initially passing by. For my first visit, I decided to go with the classic choice of chicken curry. It was delicious, and I even used a mini towel to wipe off the sweat. The rice seemed to be Thai rice, and it paired well with the curry sauce. Thank you for the meal.

As the name suggests, this restaurant is hidden in a back alley and can be hard to find if you're not paying attention. Once you walk down the alley, you'll find the entrance. It's known for its spicy curry, but it's not as spicy as you might think. The spices really stand out more than the heat. The portion size is 300g of rice, but you'll finish it in no time. If you like it even spicier, you can add up to 10 free extra chili peppers called "Purikkinu." I ordered the Spicy MAX Chicken Curry. The curry arrived quickly and looked simple but appetizing. When I tried it, the spices hit me hard. It's delicious when mixed with the rice. Even the normal level of spiciness is quite hot, but it's so tasty that you'll keep coming back for more. The spices will make you sweat a lot. I might try adding more spice next time.

Today, there was a long line of over 100 customers at "I'm donut?" in the East Kan Fukuoka Daiichi Building. Behind the building, there is an area with a deep atmosphere, likely dating back to the mid-Showa era. Despite many properties being deemed "not suitable for reconstruction" due to the narrow and winding alleyways, there are still several shops that embrace a retro feel. Exiting from Exit 6 of Tenjin Minami Station, you'll find a retro-looking yakiniku restaurant with a sign saying "Kongouen" that appears to be no longer in operation. Just beyond a narrow alley, you'll discover "Alley Curry Tiki," the destination of this review. Arriving a bit earlier was the plan, but I made it to the restaurant just five minutes before noon. There were about five customers ahead of me in the narrow alley, but I was promptly ushered into the restaurant without a 10-minute wait. The seating consisted of about 8 counter seats on the first floor, with additional seating on the second floor. The menu offered only three items: "Spice Chicken Curry," "Spice MAX Chicken Curry," and a daily special curry. Opting for the Spice MAX to enjoy the rich aroma of spices, I found the curry to be more of a lightly spiced European-style curry than expected. Although I requested the spice level to be "normal," it didn't stand out, but it was sufficient to savor the spice's kick and aroma. The large chunks of chicken in the curry weren't as tender as I had hoped, perhaps due to being lifted from the sauce. The rice served alongside also had its own unique touch, as it is sold as "Tiki rice" along with the curry in retort pouches. However, the slightly firm texture, leaving a bit of a bite, didn't quite suit my preference.

Hello everyone, what's up?! It's MoriP, who loves to eat his way around Fukuoka! Today marks my 100th post!! I had some errands to run in a distant place in the afternoon, so I looked for a restaurant that was open from 10:30 am, and I found one. A famous restaurant in Fukuoka! Today, I visited 【Rojiura Curry Tiki】. I tried their Spicy Chicken Curry (950 yen), which is a classic at Tiki. Last time, I had the Lamb Keema Curry, but it seems like they don't have it anymore! The curry was a thin type, hot and spicy with a rich flavor. It's not painfully spicy, but it warms your body gradually and makes you sweat a bit. The rice was Indica rice, cooked slightly firm and not too sticky, making it easy for Japanese people to enjoy. The chicken in the curry was surprisingly plentiful! It felt like there was about 150g of chicken in there! The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I was really impressed by how well the chicken was prepared! It's great that they open from 10:30 am, making it convenient for those with afternoon plans. It's a hidden gem that you can't keep to yourself, but you'll want to brag about to your friends! (^_^)

Tiki is a curry restaurant in Fukuoka that is so well-known that almost everyone has heard of it. I recently visited after a long time. The delicious curry is definitely a highlight, but I also want to praise the speed of service and the early opening hours. Many lunch places open around 11:30, but Tiki opens at 10:30, allowing for a brunch-like meal. This is great for people with plans in the afternoon. The owner's emphasis on quick service from ordering to serving also contributes to the high turnover rate, so even when there's a line, it moves quickly. I arrived early this time and both floors were already full of customers. I always go for the classic Spicy Chicken Curry, which has just the right amount of spice for me, so I don't add extra. For those who like it hot, there's the option of Spicy MAX Chicken or adding Freaky Nu (Thai chili). The chicken is tender and flavorful, making it the highlight of the dish. The curry roux has a spicy kick and a hint of bitterness. The jasmine rice is the perfect accompaniment to the curry. This place is perfect for curry lovers and those seeking a spicy kick.

I went for lunch on a regular day. There were many office workers and I waited in line for about 10 minutes. It was my first time there, but the cost performance was good and the service was fast, which was nice! The chicken curry had tender meat and was slightly spicy, very delicious! It was reasonable and tasty, so it was great!

I chose to try the local curry for the first time during my long-awaited business trip to Hakata. After wandering from the main street to a narrow alley, and then through a small path behind a building... I found it! Among the popular chicken curry, I was curious about the mutton and chose the keema. I requested a slightly smaller portion of the regular 300g rice. The restaurant was filled with the aroma of spices, and numerous containers held various spices. The chef seemed to be a big spice enthusiast. The plate that was served promptly contained small chunks of minced meat that were more like spices than ground meat - that kind of texture. The rice was long-grain and light and fluffy. This was a completely different category of spiced dish compared to regular home-style curry. The firm texture of the various spices and minced mutton matched well, creating a satisfying and flavorful dish. It went well with the light and fluffy rice. I felt like this minced mutton keema was a creation born from various experiments. Next time, I'd like to try the chicken curry with extra spices that the person next to me ordered. Thank you for the meal!
