After touring Dazaifu, I decided to make a quick stop before heading to Fukuoka Tower. I got off at Ohori Koen Station and walked to Jack Ohori store. Since it was in the evening, the cake display was a bit empty, with only a few cakes available. However, there were plenty of baked goods to choose from. I bought a Gateau Chantilly and some Financiers from the limited cake selection. I asked how long they could be kept, and decided to enjoy them at the nearby Ohori Park without needing a cooler bag. The Gateau Chantilly was delicious with strawberry mousse and cream, just the right amount of sweetness. I couldn't help but smile while eating it in the park. I'm sure the people jogging there must have been curious about me! Despite the limited cake options, I was glad they had Gateau Chantilly in stock. The Financiers were also tasty and I could have eaten more. However, the Gateau Chantilly was the highlight for me. I chose the Pistachio Antans and Val de Fraises. Both have a refined taste. Especially the pistachio cake was so delicious that I was moved!!! I went to Jack's in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. They do not operate continuously due to staff breaks. Currently, the cafe corner for dining in is not available. I bought the signature Jack cake (540 yen) and the baked goods P Gift (550 yen) as souvenirs. The cake came with a spoon and had a gentle taste. It had lost its coolness as there was no ice pack, but it still had a hint of alcohol. I usually like sweet things, but I also appreciate this adult-like flavor.
