Coffee specialty shop in Fukuoka. Located near Fukuoka City Museum on a main street. Visited on a weekday around 1 pm. Open the door. The first floor is for sales and roasting. The second floor seems to be a cafe. There are about 3 staff members on each floor. It's a small shop but with quite a few staff members. Sit by the window. Look at the menu. It's a wooden cover with a few pages inside. There are 4 basic blends and about 15 straight coffees. Only fruit cake for sweets. Ordered 2 blends and a fruit cake this time. Wait for a while. See the coffee being carefully brewed with a Nel drip. The coffee arrives. Royal Copenhagen blend. Main blend of the shop. Expecting a lot. Not a strong aroma but a good one. Taste a slight acidity, then sweetness, richness, and a hint of bitterness at the end. All disappear smoothly. Leaves a slight coffee flavor and aftertaste. Everything is balanced and enhances the overall experience. Very satisfying coffee. Impressed. Mandelin-based blend with a stronger richness and bitterness. Enjoy the transition from richness to bitterness. A coffee with a clean and enjoyable bitterness. Fruit cake with 7 types of dried fruits soaked in alcohol. Moist and flavorful. Dried fruits stand out with a strong alcohol flavor. Impressed by the level of coffee at this shop, especially the blends. The best blend coffee I've ever had. Bought some beans on the way out. Surprised to see a full waiting area downstairs. Even on a weekday? But I understand. Willing to wait for this coffee. Found a coffee that makes you want to wait for it.

Recently, I have been going to coffee shops more often, and although Fukuoka doesn't have many great coffee shops, the coffee here had a taste that I had never experienced before. It is serious coffee. I am still a beginner when it comes to coffee, but it was shocking and very delicious.

I had iced coffee and fruit cake. The refreshing and crisp iced coffee paired well with the moist fruit cake and both were delicious. The beans used for the iced coffee are better suited for iced or latte rather than hot, as mentioned by the staff, so I also tried the blend for the latte. It was also delicious.

I visited a café called Coffee Bimi in 2021 and 2022. I walked from Ropponmatsu Station and got a stamp at Gokoku Shrine before going to Coffee Bimi. It was full, so I waited inside. After about 15 minutes, I was asked to go to the second floor. I sat at the counter and ordered the recommended Muneer Mocha. The words written on the bill were lovely. I enjoyed my coffee slowly and felt energized. On the way back, I took a walk in Ohori Park and then took the train from Ohori Park Station.

I ordered a blend coffee and a fruit cake. The blend coffee had a perfect balance of bitterness and depth, making it enjoyable on its own. The fruit cake was a bit sweet, but paired well with the coffee. The interior of the shop had a nostalgic design and was surrounded by nature outside, creating a calming atmosphere. The lone staff member, who was working before closing on a weekday, was very kind.

I finally visited this shop I had always wanted to go to, where I could watch each task being done. I happened to find a seat available at the counter and was seated right away. I ordered coffee jelly with a filling. The coffee jelly was beautiful and the filling was delicious. Watching the tasks from the counter was very enjoyable, and the atmosphere of the shop was great. I'd like to come back again.

The coffee has a strong and pleasant aroma. When you take a sip, you can taste a hint of acidity, followed by sweetness and richness, and a slight bitterness at the end. Despite feeling refreshing initially, the coffee flavor and richness linger subtly, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. The combination of this refreshing coffee with a fruit cake baked with seven types of dried fruits soaked in alcohol is wonderful. The moist cake allows the dried fruits to stand out, spreading a sweet fruity aroma with a hint of citrus bitterness, enhancing the depth of this lingering coffee.

Located between Gokoku Shrine and Maizuru Park, this is a cafe along Keyaki Street, known for its coffee. ★Time of entry: Arrived just after 12pm on a holiday aiming for the opening time, managed to snag one of the last two tables available. ★Items ordered: - Regular coffee (600 yen) - Fruit cake (400 yen) The first floor serves as the cash register and also sells beans. The cafe is on the second floor. The second floor is a cozy space with around 4-5 counter seats and about 6 tables. The interior is mainly wooden, and the sound of coffee being brewed is soothing. It was quite crowded on the holiday, so couldn't relax much, but would love to come back during a quieter time on a weekday to enjoy a cup of coffee at a leisurely pace. They offer four different blends of coffee, categorized by strength. This time, I had the regular blend, freshly brewed and delicious. Next time, I might try the lighter blend. We also had the fruit cake, which is made by mixing three types of dried fruits soaked in alcohol and baking them, then adding rum and brandy while still warm. It was incredibly moist and tasty! I should have bought a whole cake to take home! I definitely want to visit again next time I'm back in town. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

【Visit Date】April 8, 2023 【Order】Iced coffee After having lunch, I drank some sake in the afternoon and felt a little sleepy, so I decided to just have coffee at Ropponmatsu. I visited Coffee Mibi Mibi, a popular coffee shop. I arrived around 2:50 PM and there were 4 people waiting ahead of me. The place was really crowded. I waited by sitting on a chair inside the store. After about 20 minutes, I was guided to the second floor and seated at the counter. Normally, people would order hot coffee at a place like this, but I stuck to my choice and ordered iced coffee. The coffee arrived in less than 30 minutes. It was strong and delicious. But it cost 800 yen. That's almost equivalent to my hourly wage. Life is tough. Thank you for the meal.

Coffee Mimi Ohori Park is a specialty coffee shop located along the Kokutai-dori road that leads from Ohori Park to Maizuru Park. It is one of the shops I was looking forward to visiting during my short trip to Fukuoka. It is said to have a connection with "Moka," which used to be in Kichijoji. The shop is located in Akasaka, with Kokutai-dori lined with tall zelkova trees. Across the street is Fukuoka Ken Gokoku Shrine, and behind is the site of Fukuoka Castle, surrounded by a wide zelkova tree-lined path and lush greenery at Fukuoka Ken Gokoku Shrine. Although the irises were not blooming at the moat of Fukuoka Castle ruins, the wisteria flowers were already in bloom. It seems like all the flowers are blooming early this year. The shop has a chic appearance with arched windows, brick walls, and sturdy wooden windows. The entrance is between them. The second floor has windows with white lace curtains visible. The shop opened in 1977. Upon entering, the first floor is where roasting, retail, and payment are done, and the cafe is on the second floor. As I approached the stairs at the back, two staff members were carefully hand-picking green beans. Next to them was a 5kg Fuji Royal roasting machine with years of experience. As I ascended the stairs, contrary to my expectation of it being empty due to the rain, most of the table seats were already taken. I ordered the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Mocha from the straight coffee menu, as it was written on the website, "Starting with Moka...". It is a Mocha with the scent of spring flowers. It was meticulously brewed with a small nel drip. I believe it was the shop's founder's wife who made it. The cup and saucer were Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Plain. There was a sugar pot of a unique shape on the table. Since I ordered a demitasse, it was easy to drink and I finished it quickly. After that, I just quietly watched the rain through the window amidst the greenery. I think it may be the best coffee roaster in Fukuoka and Hakata. I have found a shop that I would like to visit again when I return to Fukuoka.

I arrived in Fukuoka, dropped off my luggage at the hotel, and headed straight to this place. Despite it being a weekday, it was almost full today as well. After some hesitation, I ordered the San Il Caffe Mocha and a fruit cake. Each cup is carefully brewed, so it takes some time before it is served. Perhaps because of that, the atmosphere in this shop feels like time is flowing leisurely. The coffee brewed slowly here is clearly different from other shops. It's worth a visit. I enjoyed it once again today. Thank you for the meal.

During the cherry blossom season, it was a weekday, but the café was full by 3 pm. The first floor had a roasting machine and sold coffee beans. The café was on the second floor with a view of the outside. More than half of the customers were foreign tourists. The coffee jelly had a strong bitterness and was jelly-like. The fruit cake had plenty of dried fruits and was moist and heavy. It went really well with the coffee! It was a relaxing break after walking around to see the cherry blossoms. Thank you for the meal!

When I went to Fukuoka, I didn't have time to visit this cafe. I made my second purchase through their online store. The first time, I bought a Nel Dripper, filter cloth, and coffee beans. This time, I ordered a new filter cloth because the old one was worn out, and some coffee beans that I didn't get last time. The "Hobby Blend" beans are so beautiful, dark and rich. The description says it has a rich aroma. When I tried it, the coffee from this cafe has a wonderful aroma. It has a bit of bitterness, but it's not overpowering, and somehow feels smooth. I dream of going back to Hakata someday and enjoying a cup of coffee at the cafe.

After finishing lunch, we decided to relax at a coffee shop and searched on Tabelog for a top 100 coffee shop. We visited at 3:23 PM with 2 people. There was a line and 7 customers in front of us. We waited for 27 minutes and were seated at a table on the second floor. We ordered a hot coffee and a fruit cake. It took 17 minutes for the coffee to arrive. The ordered blend coffee (medium flavor) was 600 yen. The fruit cake was 400 yen. I like my coffee strong, so I told the waiter my preference, and they recommended the medium flavor as being sufficiently strong. It had a good aroma, was not too acidic, and was delicious. The fruit cake contained 7 types of dried fruits soaked in rum and brandy, and it paired well with the coffee. I would like to try the light flavor next time. Thank you for the meal.

Thank you for taking a look. During a break on the first day of my Fukuoka food tour, I found this place and decided to stop by. It started raining while I was waiting outside, but the staff kindly invited me in to wait. I waited for about 20 minutes for my coffee. The inside of the shop smelled amazing, and I couldn't wait to taste the coffee. When I finally got upstairs and ordered the "rich" coffee for 700 yen (tax included) and a fruit cake for 400 yen (tax included), it was worth the wait. The coffee was deep and delicious, and the fact that it was brewed after I ordered made it even more flavorful. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again when I come back to Fukuoka.

Established in 1977, "Coffee Bimi" is a coffee shop that specializes in roasting their own beans, deep roasting, and Nel drip. On this day, I happened to pass by the shop a little before 11 o'clock and checked the cafe's opening hours, which start at 12 o'clock. Oh well. I left the area for a while, visited a few other eateries, and returned a little after 2 o'clock. Upon entering the shop, I noticed that the first floor is a coffee bean store and the second floor is a cafe. When I expressed my interest in using the cafe, I was informed that it was full... a truly popular and reputable place! I was asked to wait on the first floor. About 10 minutes later, I was guided to a counter seat. The seating consists of 4 counter seats (which seem to be the best seats), 2 tables for 4 people, and 4 round tables for 2-3 people. From the straight coffee menu, I ordered the "Harar Mocha" and a fruit cake. Watching the coffee being meticulously prepared one cup at a time from the counter seat was quite enjoyable! Ten minutes after ordering, the coffee was served! The aroma, bitterness, and richness of the coffee were excellent! It was a delicious coffee! The fruit cake is a pastry made by carefully baking 7 types of dried fruits soaked in 3 different types of alcohol separately. It pairs perfectly with the coffee, and I highly recommend enjoying them together! Thank you for the meal!

A little walk from Ohori Park, across from the Yasukuni Shrine, there is a coffee shop where the first floor sells beans and the second floor is a cafe. The retro atmosphere is very charming in this small and lovely space. The menu only offers one type of coffee and tea sweets, which is quite simple. I ordered an iced coffee with ice for 800 yen and a fruit cake for 400 yen, as it was hot from walking. While waiting at the counter and watching the master grind the coffee beans and drip them through a cloth filter, I was captivated by the beauty of the process. Then, to my surprise, the master transferred the dripped coffee into a shaker and vigorously shook it on ice to quickly cool it down. It was fun to watch. The coffee was poured into a glass filled with crushed ice, and it was a sight to behold. The iced coffee shone brightly and paired well with the fruit cake. I drank it quickly and it was gone in no time. I wish there was a bit more quantity. The atmosphere of the shop is nice, but it can feel a bit cramped when it's crowded. Nevertheless, I believe it's worth visiting for the experience of enjoying a cup of coffee. I'm not particularly fond of coffee, but even I found this coffee shop delightful. I look forward to going back with a friend who loves coffee.

I felt like having a delicious cup of coffee, so I visited Mimi's. It's usually crowded, but today there were empty seats as it had just opened. I ordered a Brazil-based coffee at a table. It was delicious with no bitterness. While making coffee at home using beans from Caldi is good, it's definitely not the same. Thank you for the meal.

I have always wanted to visit a famous coffee shop in Fukuoka! When I arrived around 3 o'clock, there was already a wait of 3 groups! The inside of the shop is filled with the rich aroma of coffee, making me feel happy. Since it was my first visit, I ordered two types of blended coffee this time. One was "Ginmi" and the other was "Nakami". Nakami has a well-balanced bitterness and acidity that anyone can enjoy. Ginmi has a stronger richness and bitterness compared to Nakami, but it is also very delicious! When I asked if they had light roast coffee, Coffee Beauty said that they mostly use dark roast.

Casually entered shop・Blend's contents→I think it was somewhat bitter, but I enjoyed it. The interior of the shop is a bit narrow, so not recommended for those who want to relax. Recommended for coffee lovers as there are many types of blends available. It seems popular among serious coffee enthusiasts as you can purchase beans as well.

Fukuoka Sakurazaka, a coffee shop with a long history, called "Bimi". After the famous master passed away, Madame has continued to run the shop with the same spirit. The staff are all kind and gentle, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The slow flow of time here is soothing. The Nel Drip coffee, similar to a forest bath, tastes even better. The meticulous preparation and hospitality make for a delightful experience. I was truly impressed. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
