I made a reservation for my first visit at 7:30pm on a weekday. The restaurant was clean and spacious, with a fully booked counter seat. The recommended course for the day featured Omi duck. The restaurant is straightforward and run by a couple, providing very pleasant service. I started with a small draft beer before moving on to sake. There were 8 types of sake available, and I enjoyed 4 from Fukuoka. The playful duck dishes paired well with the sake. The course included duck foie gras in a chicken (duck-shaped) mold, smoked herring roe, dried persimmon, and Kentucky-style chicken wings with the landlady's face printed on them. It was a unique and delicious experience. The duck leg with sansho pepper and the hot pot duck grill were both delicious. The hot pot started with lean cuts of meat simmering in a rich broth. We wrapped plenty of green onions around the rare duck slices for shabu-shabu. It was a delightful experience. The fluffy and rich meatballs were amazing. We drank the duck-infused broth and added more as we went along. The hot pot was finished with simmered noodles and freshly cooked corn rice. It was all very satisfying. We even took the leftover rice home as rice balls.

Visited the restaurant today after making a reservation for the course. The course included: Duck foie gras, smoked duck, dried persimmon, mochi, Duck thigh with sansho pepper, Charcoal-grilled duck breast, KFC (Kentucky Fried Duck), Duck shabu-shabu, and dessert. There were various types of alcohol available as well. Every dish in the duck-themed course was delicious and impressive. The course was not only tasty but also fun with a playful touch. The duck meat was incredibly delicious, and the broth was outstanding! The service was great, and the course had a satisfying amount of food. I definitely want to go back again.

During my trip to Kyushu, I was recommended to visit this place by a senior colleague who worked in Fukuoka. It may not be a Fukuoka specialty, but this place is a must-visit. It was probably the most delicious meal I had during my Kyushu trip. The duck shabu-shabu, in particular, was amazing. I definitely want to eat it again.

Located in Haruyoshi Uchiroji Alley, this shop is fantastic! The second-floor seating is very comfortable, and they offer course menus with a wide selection of drinks. The duck meatball hot pot was served first, with the perfect timing indicated by an hourglass. The hostess, who was very kind, explained each dish in detail. The foie gras with dried persimmon and smoked bonito was outstanding. The foie gras had no unpleasant odor, and the combination of textures and aromas was delightful. The duck breast with rapeseed flowers in sesame vinegar was tender and flavorful. The duck leg salad with watercress was juicy and had a perfect balance of flavors. The duck shabu-shabu was exceptional, with the meat remaining tender in the flavorful broth. The vegetables were fresh, and the shepherd's purse was particularly delicious. The duck rice, cooked in duck bone broth, was also amazing. The soba noodles at the end were soaked in the rich broth, enhancing their flavor. The dessert pudding was moist and rich, with a perfect level of sweetness. Adding a bit of salt made it even more delicious. Despite the richness of the duck meat, there was no feeling of heaviness in the stomach. The whole dining experience was so enjoyable that we forgot about work and just savored every bite. The chef even prepared a warm pack for us at the entrance, showing a great level of care. This was truly a unique and delightful experience at a duck cuisine restaurant. Highly recommended!

It's been a while since I visited Fukuoka. I tried a duck dish, which is not very familiar to me. I went to this restaurant with an acquaintance of my companion. The menu was a course meal featuring dishes made with plenty of duck meat. The chef used to run a popular restaurant in Nanokuma, and his reputation made me even more excited. Both the chef and his wife were very friendly and provided excellent service. The course meal showcased the chef's skills, with unique duck dishes that I had never experienced before. The highly recommended dish was the duck shabu-shabu! The motto was "Duck for 10 seconds, green onions for 15 seconds!" Following this advice made the meal incredibly delicious. The duck shabu-shabu, dipped in a dashi broth made from bonito and kelp, was so flavorful that no additional seasonings were needed. Adding a sprinkle of sansho pepper enhanced the dish even more. The finale of rice porridge was also delicious, without a doubt. It was a truly enjoyable dining experience.

The duck meat was thin and easy to eat. The staff kindly taught me how to eat it properly, so I could enjoy it. The homemade ponzu sauce was rich and when paired with the duck tsukune, it was exquisite. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and nice. At first, I was worried if it would be enough, but the portion size was actually quite generous.

Second visit! I wanted to eat duck after a long time, and when I saw the website, it said they have a winter limited dish called "Tsuki no Wa Bear". I was so curious that I made a reservation immediately!! I decided to challenge the bear⭐ It was surprisingly easy to eat without any strong taste, and it was delicious! After finishing the bear, I added duck as well!! As always, it was amazing!! I will definitely go again!

I will make my first visit here. The wine is a Pinot Noir from Yoichi Town, Hokkaido. It feels a bit light. Well, that's how it goes. First, foie gras with smoked salmon in a monaka cone. A delicious appetizer. Duck sashimi. Duck teppanyaki. Leg meat, breast meat wrapped in shiso leaves and as is. Heart. Sand lance. Chicken wings. Meatballs. Served with grated daikon radish. All fresh and delicious. The hot pot has been simmering the leg meat and meatballs on low heat since the beginning to create a broth. Duck hot pot. Shabu-shabu. Lots of thinly sliced green onions. Duck loin, also for shabu-shabu! First, enjoy the loin with plenty of green onions, then try different condiments for variety. Also, various vegetables. Tofu, fried tofu, watercress, and seri leaves. Thick shiitake mushrooms. The rice is cooked together in the kiln. Mix the rice with scallops and sansho pepper. Tamagoyaki and dried sardines. Finish with porridge using the leftover rice. Overall, the food was delicious. However, towards the end, something was added to the pot, and when I asked what it was, they said honey. Hmm, maybe honey wasn't necessary. That made me think. But the various duck meats were delicious! Fresh!

Duck Course (¥5800) is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious duck dishes. I was completely satisfied from start to finish this time as well. The staff at the restaurant are very kind, and it's no wonder they have many fans. I was also happy to receive a hand warmer when I left. This popular restaurant requires reservations!

I had received information from a few friends about this place, but this was my first visit. It's a restaurant where you can enjoy brand-name duck dishes such as Kawachi duck and Kyoto duck in various courses. The Kawachi duck course starts at 4800 yen (excluding tax) and begins with duck chawanmushi, which has a gentle flavor and a soft texture. The seared Kawachi duck sashimi is amazing, with a charcoal aroma and delicious taste when eaten with raw pepper and ginger soy sauce. The duck wing fried (Kanaaru?) is easy to eat and tasty. The visually appealing Kyoto duck lava grill is cooked on a special iron plate, carefully searing the fat to enhance the flavor. Finally, there's the Kyoto duck hot pot, where the meat is cooked slowly to ensure a tender and juicy result. The hot pot also includes minced duck, duck meat slices for shabu-shabu, and plenty of other ingredients like enoki mushrooms and tempura. The meal ends with Japanese soba noodles. The first floor has a counter, while the second floor has four table seats. The dishes are meticulously prepared by the staff, resulting in high-quality and delicious food. The prices are reasonable, making it a convenient restaurant to visit. This restaurant is suitable for those who enjoy duck dishes without strong flavors, can accommodate up to 20 people for parties, and can serve couples at the counter.

Duck and Green Onion Yodomi Futagawa is a duck shabu-shabu restaurant located in Haruyoshi. The store is two stories high, with counter seats on the first floor and tatami seats on the second floor. While Fukuoka may have lower prices compared to Tokyo, dining at a proper duck meat restaurant would normally cost around 10,000 yen per person. However, at Yodomi Futagawa, you can enjoy shabu-shabu dishes made with Osaka's branded duck starting from 3,000 yen per person. Furthermore, the dishes are visually appealing. The duck shabu-shabu, served with additive-free and chemical-free broth, is available as a course meal for 4,800 yen.

My friend who always takes me to delicious restaurants in Fukuoka invited me to try duck shabu-shabu. It seems like a famous place that is hard to get a reservation at. I am really looking forward to it. "Yodomi Nigyo" located in Haruyoshi alley in Fukuoka has a small counter on the first floor with an entrance, kitchen, and a larger tatami room on the second floor. The tatami room is divided by screens and curtains, giving it a private room feel. We decided to go for the duck dashi shabu-shabu course on this day. They also had a variety of sake, about 13 types. The small dish was sesame tofu. The rich combination of sea urchin and sesame spread in the mouth. As we started eating, the staff came and prepared the pot. First, they added duck meatballs to make the broth. It's luxurious to use duck meatballs for the broth! Of course, it should be delicious to eat as well. Next, a birdcage-like object was brought to us... When opened, it contained duck sashimi. The presentation was amazing as well as the taste. Kyoto duck on a lava stone. When grilled on a lava plate on a charcoal grill, the duck fat melts and spreads, and the refreshing taste of squeezed yuzu is delicious. Finally, the duck dashi shabu-shabu. The beautifully arranged duck meat looked like flower petals. Shabu-shabu the duck for 10 seconds and the leeks for 15 seconds in the duck broth prepared earlier. Wrapping plenty of leeks with duck meat and eating it is heavenly. This is so delicious. I was so curious that I ordered the Kawachi duck uni roll a la carte. When delicious things are combined, it's definitely delicious. The meal is finished with a porridge made from the duck dashi pot from earlier. And this rice was cooked in a feather pot by lighting the fire at the start of the meal and cooking it in a table-by-table manner. The rice grains soaked up the flavor of the broth so well... Finally, we finished with Uji matcha and a mildly sweet yokan. It was a truly enjoyable experience for both the eyes and the taste buds. Oh boy, I ate too much delicious food in Fukuoka this time. Thank you to everyone who accompanied me this time. Looking forward to the next time. The phone reservation was very well handled, and the lady's service when I visited was very pleasant. Not only the taste, but as someone who values waiting time and customer service, I had a wonderful time. I was able to order a course even on the day of my visit, and the duck was fresh and delicious.

Returned to Fukuoka from Nagasaki and checked in before heading to tonight's restaurant. It's just a short walk from the hotel I stayed at (Tokyu Stay Fukuoka Tenjin). The Tenjin South area is full of delicious restaurants, and it's great that you can walk to most of them. This restaurant has been featured on TV many times and I've been curious about it for a while. I made a reservation a month ago when I decided on this Kyushu trip, and the response was very polite, so I was looking forward to it. We ordered the 4500 yen course. The staff explained in detail the best timing to enjoy the meat. The service was mainly provided by the wife, who was always smiling even though she was busy, and I was so touched to finally meet her in person, saying "It's just like on TV☆" (laughs). The duck shabu-shabu that I was looking forward to was very satisfying with generous portions. What's more, the alcohol is cheap! Most shochu drinks are only 500 yen per glass, so I ended up drinking too much. The attention to detail in the restaurant's layout (such as partitions) and the presentation of the dishes reflected the couple's thoughtful hospitality. I ended up staying for quite a while because of the cozy atmosphere, but they kindly saw us off outside the restaurant. I will definitely visit again when I go to Fukuoka. Thank you for a wonderful time!

A restaurant that offers a variety of duck dishes. They use two types of duck meat, Kyoto duck and Kawachi duck, with the main dish being shabu-shabu. Each dish allows you to enjoy the deliciousness of duck meat in various ways. The service was also excellent. The restaurant is not very spacious, making it slightly difficult to make reservations.

We visited the restaurant as a pair. The specialty dish is duck, so we enjoyed duck hot pot and duck teppanyaki. There was no unpleasant smell, indicating the high quality of the duck. For dessert, we had soba noodles cooked in the leftover duck hot pot broth, which was delicious! We wanted to try the duck and sea urchin roll, but it requires a reservation so we couldn't have it, which was a shame. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I heard rumors about the origin of duck hot pot in Hakata. Duck, green onions, and Yodogawa water. First of all, I was surprised that the restaurant is run by a couple. The service was attentive and satisfying. It was my first time, so I made a reservation for a course meal, and I was pleased with the flow, timing, and content. The duck was not too gamey or fatty, it had a healthy taste, and the broth was refreshing. I recommend enjoying the difference between the initial broth and the one you drink at the end!
