During a long-awaited visit to Hakata, I went with a friend to a reservation for omakase at 5:00 pm for two at the counter. Every dish that came out was delicious, and there was a great selection of drinks from shochu to wine. Even the dessert, coffee jelly, was tasty and satisfying. I would definitely want to visit again when in Hakata.

The tamagoyaki was delicious, as well as the eel and rice. The pickled Chinese cabbage was irresistible. The pickled Chinese cabbage with the eel bowl was also wonderful. The fried potatoes were the best. The ham cutlet was delicious. The chicken nanban was too tough for my liking. The sesame mackerel was crunchy and tasty. The lean horse sashimi was especially delicious. The vinegar motsu was a bit different. The half hair crab was blissful. The menu was extensive, and everything I tried was delicious. The simmered chicken wings were shiny. The curry was spicy. I couldn't have the sashimi because I had the seafood bowl for lunch, which was a shame. The service was quick and the girls at the restaurant were cute. It was a good experience. Thank you for the meal.

Located along Kiyokawa and Nisshin-dori in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, this is a well-known high-end restaurant. It is famous for not listing prices on the menu. I thought it must be quite expensive, but I ordered what I wanted to eat. Starting with the complimentary tofu, I enjoyed dishes such as snow crab, sea urchin, tuna, local chicken sashimi, shrimp, eel, grilled silver herring, dried fish, spicy pickled radish, gingko nuts, lotus root tempura, and a luxurious rice bowl (I think it was a half-size). I also had the Unzen ham cutlet, but I think I forgot to take a photo. It was a lavish meal, and I am stuffed (ate too much). It was delicious. I'll say it again, it was luxurious. Thank you for the feast.

On this day, I was taken to "Tanaka-ya" by someone I work with, it's been about 2-3 years. Everything you eat at "Tanaka-ya" is delicious, so when you look at the menu, your excitement goes up. The dishes we ordered were sashimi assortment, mozuku seaweed, chicken nanban, curry, cheese platter, etc. The sashimi assortment had over 8 varieties and was luxurious. The mozuku seaweed was delicious too! The chicken nanban was also delicious! We had wine, so the cheese was delicious too! Every dish we ordered this time was delicious. This is a shop where drinks have price tags but food does not. It may seem scary, but they will prepare the amount of food according to the number of people in your group, whether it's a small or large group. The choice of plates and the color scheme on the table are nice. I ordered a lot, but I only have one photo of the dishes, sorry. We had various dishes for lunch as well. The price for one drink is around 1000 yen, plus a cover charge and a 5% service charge, which is not too expensive considering the overall cost. I will definitely come back!

I have been to Tanaka in Nishi-Azabu before, but I prefer the Hakata main store in terms of customer service and food. They had tamami sashimi, which some people may like or dislike, but if you haven't tried it, please give it a try and let me know your thoughts.

It's been a while since my second visit ( ´ ▽ ` ). I became a dinner refugee in Fukuoka... it's hard to get a reservation, right? I thought so too, but when I called on the day, miraculously I was able to get one~! Lucky (*´∀`*) Last time we had a private tatami room, but this time we sat at the counter♪ Since the prices are not listed on the menu here, some may feel uneasy, but if you order wisely (knowing the prices of the items), it won't be too expensive (lol). We ended up spending a bit more than expected^^; but with this taste... it's worth it. By the way, most of the menu items at this restaurant can be ordered in half or one portion per person. There are even 1/8 portions for the rice dishes as the final course☆ Ordered items: - Appetizer: Natural junsai chawanmushi - Sesame mackerel from Nagasaki - Fruit tomato from the northernmost part of Hokkaido - Potato salad - Fresh water eggplant from Izumi - Simmered chicken wings (2 pieces) from Koho - Yunzen ham (2 pieces) - Fried chicken wings (1 piece) from Koho - Maru eggplant dengaku from Nara - Fried sweet potato (3 pieces) from Tanegashima - Grilled spicy mentaiko - Beef curry (1/8 size) - Tuna seared rice bowl (1/8 size) - Minami-seki fried dish with tofu in red miso sauce Drinks: - Draft beer, shochu, sake, etc. Total: 27,000 yen for 2 people * The sesame mackerel is a must-try♪ * The Yunzen ham is different from what I had at other restaurants! The restaurant is located a little outside of Hakata Station. We stayed for about 1.5 hours and ordered 11 dishes and about 3 drinks, which came to around 30,000 yen. The pricing system was a bit unclear, as it seemed like each item was priced individually. The food was all delicious! We wanted to stay longer, but had to leave due to our next reservation. The menu had a note saying that each person would be charged around 13,000 to 18,000 yen. It would be helpful if the billing process was clearer.

To Tanakada Main Store in Fukuoka✨I had always been curious about Tanakada, as they also have a branch in Nishi-Azabu. Knowing that the main store is in Fukuoka, I decided to visit! The menu does not have prices listed, indicating it is a high-end izakaya. Many customers around me were dressed elegantly, giving off a sophisticated vibe. The food was all very delicious, but with prices comparable to a high-end restaurant, it may be tough on the wallet. I've noticed many foreign tourists at various restaurants lately, but I didn't see any at this place. I ordered peaches, and they only had two left, which they gave me as a service because they weren't satisfied with the taste. I could tell they really care about the flavors. I recommend this place for when you have some extra cash to spare. The presentation, taste, and atmosphere of the restaurant were all wonderful. I had heard from other people, but a menu without prices... As someone who is a bit stingy, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. At the same time, I was wondering, "How much could this be?" as I placed my order. They will send you a detailed receipt if you ask for it, but being both stingy and concerned about appearances, I couldn't bring myself to request one. The restaurant had counter seats, but there was plenty of space between the seats, so you could relax and enjoy your meal. The food was so delicious that even though it was a high-end restaurant, I ended up eating too much and went over my budget. Oh well, I can't come to a place like this often anyway! But the taste was worth it! Especially the corn tempura was amazing! The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was also delicious. Each dish seemed to focus on bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients rather than being overly elaborate. The only disappointing thing was that I didn't notice that the menu was written on the back as well... I realized it at the end, but I was already too full to order anything else. Next time, I'll make sure to check both sides of the menu before ordering.

I visited the main branch of a high-class izakaya located in Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo. This restaurant is famous for not displaying prices, so I nervously placed my order. Here's what I tried: - Appetizer: Persimmon and white sesame tofu - Grilled mackerel with sesame soy sauce: Paired with a mackerel-specific cup shochu, it was delicious. - Hakata simmered duck: Sweet and flavorful. - Simmered chicken wings: Tasty, but a bit too sweet. - Unzen ham grill: The ham slices were surprisingly small. - Blowfish tempura: A classic dish that never disappoints. - Shrimp and taro tempura: Taro is deep-fried with shrimp, could be divisive. - Homemade squid tempura: Simple yet delicious. Honestly, the cost performance is not great. This is not a place to look for cost performance. It's a high-end izakaya with a variety of dishes. While the cost performance may not be the best, the taste of everything is incredibly delicious. This was my second visit and I have yet to have a bad dish at this restaurant. The crab, in particular, was delicious. It's already peeled, making it easy to eat and great for photos. There are two types of crab on the plate. If you order sashimi, they can adjust the portion to be 1.5 servings for example, so they are flexible with the quantity. The menu changes slightly depending on the season. It's nice that the prices are not listed on the menu. The prices for drinks are listed though. The sashimi, meat, crab, and fried foods were all very delicious. If you don't mind the price, I highly recommend it.

It's rare to secure a seat again, but I will definitely go back! This time, we had a meal for two so we couldn't order much, but it was still very delicious! This place offers a rare collection of gourmet dishes from Kyushu! I think it will take at least half a year to go back, so I will cherish it even more!

This is the best izakaya I've ever been to! A few years ago, I used to travel to Fukuoka often and came across this place in a magazine. I made a reservation through my hotel and I already feel so good! When I returned 3 years later, they told me they were always fully booked because my Japanese was not good. The food is still amazing, especially my favorite tebasaki. I want to order more! The horse sashimi is also top-notch, and I enjoyed it deliciously today too!

I love the shrimp tempura at this restaurant so much that even on my second visit, it was still delicious. I tried the rapeseed blossom tempura for the first time and it was also very tasty. With 5 dishes and 2 soft drinks totaling 20,000 yen, considering the price, I would rate it 3.8. I will definitely go back for another special occasion.

I visited the main store in Hakata. The lively atmosphere, friendly yet polite service, it's great. We ordered a course meal. The dishes used spring ingredients and the fish was fresh! From crab to fish to tempura, steak, eel, everything came out. And they were all delicious. The prices were reasonable, good value for money. It was a satisfying restaurant!

While it is understood that this restaurant is not known for being cost-effective, the quality of the food did not seem to match the price. First visit. When it comes to high-end izakaya in Fukuoka, Tanaka Ta Fukuoka Honten is the place to go. I visited on this day and ordered a la carte at the counter seats. This popular restaurant requires reservations. Every menu item was of high quality, with amazing presentation, taste, texture, and aroma, but I was truly impressed by the luxurious bowl with tuna, salmon roe, and sea urchin on top! It was a truly luxurious combination that melted in my mouth. There is also a branch in Azabu-Juban, but I feel that the main store provides a higher level of satisfaction. Area Medal is not in Fukuoka, so it's a bit late to talk about it now, but here it goes: 1) It is located slightly off the bustling streets. The atmosphere inside is lively, and the service is good. 2) The alcohol is a bit pricey, but the food is not. You can see the ingredients from the counter, and they all look delicious and taste delicious. 3) The atmosphere is friendly enough to casually ask about the prices of high-quality ingredients. The dishes themselves are simply cooked, so I think it's more like an izakaya. I enjoyed everything from sashimi to vegetables.
