It is served quite rare, so it is very tender and juicy right after being served, and eating it as it is with the spiciness of pepper complements the natural flavor of the pork, making it very delicious. Additionally, the special sauce (ginger soy sauce) and the grated radish, wasabi, garlic miso on the table allow you to enjoy different flavors. As time passes, the heat from the hot plate slightly reduces the tenderness, but it still maintains a satisfying texture without being tough! It transforms into an exquisite texture that is enjoyable, and the crunchy pickled plum on the table, which I believe is chopped umeboshi, provides a crispy texture that, when eaten with rice, spreads the flavor of plum throughout the mouth, allowing you to enjoy the crispy texture and indescribable deliciousness! Additionally, the fact that you can have unlimited rice and miso soup refills, and for an additional 500 yen, you can change the steak, makes it an excellent value for 1,000 yen! After seeing the reviews, I felt like eating a punchy steak, so I visited for the first time. The door of the restaurant was left open, maybe for ventilation, so it was hot inside. However, the steak I came for was delicious, so I give it a rating of 3.4. There was miso on the table, which was also delicious when eaten with it. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

The restaurant is usually crowded with a line even after 1 pm. During lunchtime, around 12:30 pm, I was lucky to get in quickly. There were groups with children as well. I didn't realize this timing was so good. Although not fully packed, most of the seats were taken, so I thought it might take a while, but surprisingly the food came out quickly. The thick-cut pork steak on the hot plate is impressive to see and satisfying to eat. Even just eating it as is, the salt and pepper seasoning makes it delicious. The salad with pineapple is a nice touch. The pineapple helps cut through the fat of the meat, making it a perfect combination. I always think that the pork, which remains tender even when cooked or slightly cooled, is truly amazing.

Visited in the early afternoon with a friend. As soon as we sat down, we were served ice water and salad, followed by the appearance of the pork steak. It was cooked just right, with a slight pinkness, not too soft or too tough, with a good texture. We generously grated daikon radish on top and dipped it in the sauce. It was great to have plenty of daikon radish available on the table. Next time, I would like to try it with spicy miso sauce.

After my workout, I wanted to eat a lot of calories, so I went to this restaurant where I often go. When I entered the restaurant and sat down, I was served a fresh salad with pineapple on top. After finishing the salad, a pork steak was served. The pork steak had a satisfying texture without being too greasy, and I always feel satisfied no matter how many times I eat it.

During my lunch break, I visited the long-awaited Tonkatsu Juichi with my colleagues. Not only the pork but also the vegetables were delicious here! And the price was only 1,100 yen. My stomach was satisfied, and I felt energized for the afternoon. I will definitely come back again!

Today I was in Fukuoka. After finishing a morning meeting, it was lunchtime! I didn't have much time, so I hurried to the restaurant. It's about a 15-minute walk from Hakata Station. Just a little further down from the Yagan Udon restaurant I visited before, there's Tonichi, a pork steak restaurant! I had BM'd it before, but I can't remember why... haha I arrived at the restaurant around 1 pm on a weekday and there were 6 people waiting outside on the bench. We had to write down our names and the number of people before being seated. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were finally seated at the counter. And guess what!? As soon as we sat down, water and salad were already served! We hadn't even ordered anything yet! haha The menu at this restaurant consists of only one item, a pork steak set for ¥1,100. As I was enjoying the salad, the pork steak was immediately served on a hot iron plate. It was slightly pink, so I seared it on the hot plate before eating. The condiments included ginger soy sauce, garlic miso with chili, and grated wasabi on the table, which we were supposed to put on the meat. I tried a piece without anything first, with just the ginger soy sauce. The slightly sweet soy sauce from Kyushu paired nicely with the ginger. Then I tried it with grated wasabi and chili miso, which was a surprising and delicious combination. The meat was placed on a bed of onions, which became sweet as it cooked on the hot plate. The cycle of meat + onions → rice → miso soup → pickles was so satisfying. There was also pickled shiba-zuke on the table, which paired well with the set meal. I finished it in no time and was completely satisfied with my lunch! I really like this style of dining. It seems they have several branches, and the one in Ropponmatsu also serves beef steak. I'll try to visit that one too when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

I went to this popular lunch spot around 12 o'clock and there were about 3 groups waiting. I wrote my name on the list and waited for about 20 minutes. The menu has only one item, pork steak set for ¥1,100. It was served in about 5 minutes. The pork steak looked rare and was cooked on a hot iron plate! You can adjust the cooking by pressing it on the plate. It was a bit tough but delicious. You can eat it refreshing with spicy miso and grated wasabi. The salad had pineapple in it, which was very sweet! I chose it for dessert (⌒▽⌒) This time I was seated at the counter, right in front of the grilling area, and it was very hot there (lol). The person making the food must be hot too. Thank you for the meal.

The half-cooked tonkatsu is grilled on a hot plate until the end, so you can enjoy it hot and delicious. The portion of rice is quite generous. It might be a good idea for women to ask for a smaller portion. You can have unlimited refills of miso soup and rice.

The menu has only one option for 1100 yen. You can have unlimited rice and miso soup. I personally didn't need any refills as the portion was sufficient. The taste is consistently delicious, no doubt about it. You can enjoy the flavors by alternating between spicy miso and grated wasabi. It's worth waiting in line a bit for this.

I stopped by a tonkatsu restaurant recommended for lunch during my business trip to Hakata. The lunch menu consists of only one set meal, so the turnover is fast and I was able to get in relatively smoothly. The tonkatsu is served slightly rare on the inside, so when you eat it with garlic while grilling it on the hot iron plate, you will feel energized for the afternoon!

I had lunch near the Mizuho intersection south of Hakata Station and decided to try a restaurant that had caught my eye. The menu only offered a pork steak for 1,100 yen, so there wasn't much choice. It was just before 12 o'clock on a Sunday, and the place was packed, so I had to write my name down and wait outside for about 5 minutes. The interior had a Western-style atmosphere, and I was seated at the counter in front of the kitchen. The owner was busy grilling pork non-stop, and my steak was served in about 3 minutes after sitting down. The pork steak, with a hint of pink, was sizzling on the hot plate, so I cooked it well on the plate and enjoyed it with plenty of grated wasabi on the table. It was delicious.

The rare pork itself is tender. The seasoning is rich with a salty and peppery base. The grated wasabi and sauce stimulate the appetite. The garlic-infused spicy miso pairs perfectly with the pork. This is the best cost performance at 1000 yen. Hakata is great. There are many cheap and delicious restaurants.

There is a shop in a slightly hard-to-find alley. I was taken there by a business associate during a business trip, and the only menu option was "Pork Steak Set"! Once seated, you are asked for 1. a drink 2. rice (regular or large) and the food is served in about 3 minutes. It was very delicious and I wanted to come back again! ⚠️ On Sundays and holidays, the shop cannot restock the meat due to the supplier being closed. It seems like they will stop serving once it runs out, so I recommend going early to try it out!

I happened to pass by the always crowded popular restaurant and found it empty, so I decided to visit. The menu only offers pork steak set. It comes out rare on a hot iron plate and you cook it yourself. You can eat it with ginger soy sauce or top it with garlic miso and grated wasabi on the table. Adding pickled plum makes the rice even more delicious. I might end up visiting regularly just for the pickled plum. Rice and miso soup refills are free.

About a 5-minute drive from Hakata Station, there are no parking lots nearby. It was nearly full around 11 o'clock. I have never seen people waiting in line, but you might have to wait around lunchtime. Once inside, you will be seated and served a salad and water before ordering. The only menu option is a pork steak set meal, which is served medium rare. You cook the steak on a hot iron plate and eat it with rice. They provide three dipping sauces: ginger soy sauce, spicy meat miso, and grated wasabi. The ginger soy sauce was refreshing, while the meat miso had a bit of a kick. You can get free refills of rice and miso soup. The price is 1100 yen (tax included) and extra meat costs 600 yen. They had raised the prices by 100 yen since my last visit.

There was a Chinese restaurant nearby so I decided to try it for a change. I ordered the pork steak set meal. It started with a salad. The salad had thin watercress which was easy to eat and didn't get stuck in my teeth, but I think thick watercress stems are not suitable. The pork steak was served rare on a hot plate, and it was a bit of a hassle to cook both sides before the plate cooled down. The pork itself wasn't that great. The rice was delicious. The female waitress was very lovely and her smile made me feel good. I prefer beef over pork, so I wish they would serve the pork in the best possible condition.

The interior is clean and simple, with counter and table seating. As others have mentioned, the menu consists only of a pork steak for 1100 yen including tax, so you won't be handed a menu or asked for your order. Once seated, a salad is promptly served. Then, a sizzling hot pork steak on a hot plate is brought to your table, allowing you to cook it to your liking. The dish is not greasy, tender, and delicious. It was enjoyed with wasabi, grated daikon radish, and sauce.

Every day there's a long line at this place. The menu is simple, and when you sit down, they first bring out a salad. The dressing is tangy and delicious. Oh, there's pineapple in it! After finishing the salad, they bring out a hot iron plate with rare pork steak on it. It's rare so you cook it yourself on the plate. And the best part is the spicy miso and wasabi grated radish! You pile it on top, take a bite, and the garlic-infused spicy miso with the flavorful pork steak is irresistible! So satisfying! Sometimes you just crave a lot of pork...it's nutritious too...and this place is perfect for that. Your stomach will feel so happy! The wasabi grated radish gives a nice kick but it's refreshing and tasty. It's a highly recommended popular spot with long lines! Get your fill of pork!【Eleven】
