Morning at Hotel Okura Fukuoka. On this day, we used breakfast vouchers to visit All Day Dining Camellia. I was a bit worried since it's usually a buffet restaurant, but they had sufficient infection control measures in place, so we felt safe. The menu was presented in a fold-out format. I ordered the Camellia Breakfast, while my family chose the Yamazato Japanese breakfast. We selected coffee or tea, which was served at our table. My family waited for their Japanese breakfast set, while I headed to the morning market buffet corner. Each item was individually packaged, ensuring safety. Even the dressings were in individual bottles! The menu items included:
- Camellia Breakfast 7:00-10:00, 2900 yen per person (including 10% service charge)
- Morning Juices: Orange, Grapefruit, or Tomato
- Soup of the day: Pumpkin potage
- From morning market: Morning salad, assorted fruits, smoked trout, salmon, cold ham, pickled vegetables, prosciutto, Fukuoka figs, yogurt, cheese, pastries, and cereals
- Morning Main Dish: Various egg dishes like plain omelette, fried egg, scrambled egg, and boiled egg, as well as specialty omelettes, Egg Benedict, and Hakata Egg Benedict
The main egg dishes were prepared by the chef and brought to our table. I opted for sunny-side-up eggs, which were cooked perfectly. The breakfast was of high quality overall, with excellent service and ambiance. It felt like a breakfast worth an extra 1000 yen compared to famous hotel breakfasts in Tokyo. It was a satisfying morning meal.
