A yakitori restaurant that requires reservations. It is located about a 2-minute walk from Hakata Station. It is always crowded, and I have never been able to walk in without a reservation. This time, I made a reservation and visited. The dessert we ordered arrived just in time, almost two hours after we sat down, but we were told, "The next customers are waiting..." and had to finish the dessert in one minute. It would be better to allow more time for reservations... The taste is delicious no matter what you order. The tsukune is especially recommended. The image of the Chikushi-dori store is more calm. It was delicious. I will visit again.

It's been a while since I came to Hakata, so I called ahead to reserve a table because I wanted to try the chicken liver here. Even though I tried to order conservatively since it was my second stop, everything I ordered was delicious and satisfying. The chicken liver skewers were especially tasty. The prices are a bit high-end, but the food was so delicious that I will definitely come back again someday.

On Sunday night, all the restaurants I wanted to go to were full, so I ended up at this restaurant near the hotel. The taste of the chicken itself was good. However, the sauce was a bit too sweet (a unique sweetness of Kyushu soy sauce?), which I found a bit disappointing. There were three of us, we ate and drank decently, and it cost us just under 20,000 yen, so I think the price was reasonable.

For some reason, there is a wide variety of craft beers available. The appetizers include dishes like sesame oil liver and Iburi Gakko cheese, perfect for drinking. There are many types of yakitori, all with large, juicy pieces that are delicious. However, the specialty tsukune was more like a hamburger than the expected fluffy texture. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant as my second stop. The exterior and interior have a luxurious feel, but the prices are reasonable starting from 195 yen for skewers and 410 yen for shochu. They use Mituse chicken. The atmosphere is nice and the service from the staff was good.

We used this restaurant for a work drinking party with 6 people. They have private rooms which can be hard to reserve when the boss is present. The yakitori was quite large and delicious. It comes with all-you-can-drink in the private room, and it's close to Hakata Station. It's a good option for when you're in charge of organizing a drinking party. The course was 5,500 yen, but we were quite full.

Today I visited the popular restaurant called Sumi Torisan in Hakata. Sumi Torisan is known for its delicious Mitse chicken. The combination of yakitori and beer enjoyed at the counter is the best. The grilling is done perfectly and everything is delicious! The dessert pudding is also delicious. It's conveniently located near the station and can be used for small gatherings. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

On March 28, 2022, I visited Katora-san in Hakata for the first time for dinner due to some business there. Despite being a weekday, there were quite a lot of people around the Hakata area even after the lifting of pandemic restrictions. While this yakitori restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, the atmosphere is quite nice. I enjoyed watching the yakitori being grilled over charcoal live from the counter. The tsukune with raw egg yolk was the most impressive dish. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered a rare part of the chicken called Mitsusedori, which was thick and had a lot of volume. Even just one piece was satisfying to eat. I went late, so some items were not available for ordering, but I still enjoyed what I could order. If you go earlier with 3 or 4 people, having a hot pot might be a good idea. They also offer a variety of drinks, from shochu to wine, which you can enjoy as it is unique to Kyushu. The infection control measures were perfect, with clear partitions for safety. The staff at the restaurant were also very good.

Gundam brother and Kanto-san after a long time... Last time we sat at the counter, but today we were guided to a very spacious table seat without a reservation. The table was so large that it seemed too big for just two people, but we started with an easy-to-order skewer course and a toast. The cabbage for chopstick rest was helpful as my stomach was a bit upset. The oden appetizer and the tofu with cucumber and grated radish were all delicious with gentle flavors. The staff explained each skewer as they were brought to us, and Gundam brother helped by adding some explanations in between. The hot and juicy skewers were all delicious, even for someone like me who is usually a picky eater. The last meatball-like skewer was cute like a moon-viewing scene. And to finish off, we added a homemade roasted green tea pudding. It was delicious, with a smooth texture, a subtle sweetness, and a strong roasted green tea flavor. It went down smoothly and left a pleasant aftertaste. It was a simple but memorable dessert. We split it in half, or maybe I only had a quarter of it, as I had other sweets waiting at home. Despite trying to watch my calorie intake, I must admit I wanted to eat the whole thing because it was so delicious. I'm grateful to Kanto-san for providing such wonderful dishes and to Gundam brother for joining me. Thank you for the feast!

This is a restaurant that an acquaintance made a reservation for. It's a step up from the restaurants I usually go to. The price of one skewer is 50-100 yen higher. It's worth the price as the meat was quite juicy. The most memorable dish for me was not yakitori, but a lightly fried meat dish with a sweet vinegar sauce. I can't remember the name, but the outside was crispy and the inside was tender. It was just the way I like it. I think this is a good restaurant for hospitality in the Hakata Station area. Thank you for the meal.

A cozy yakitori dining bar located in the basement of a hotel near Hakata Station. I remember visiting one in Kagurazaka before. Arrived in Fukuoka for a business trip after 9 PM, met up with local team members and visited this place. They had local dishes like chicken skin and flying fish, but the tsukune yakitori made with Mitsuse chicken, which I found delicious in Kagurazaka, was also amazing here with its rich yolk. Sweet potato shochu went down smoothly. It's a great place for a relaxed meal and conversation.

I went to a yakitori restaurant, Charcoal Toran, after a long time. Since there were two of us, we sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the bustling scene at the grill and the staff making drinks while eating delicious yakitori. I was looking forward to having Tsukune and Pate, but due to my stomach condition, I only ordered Tsukune, which was a bit disappointing. I'll save the excitement for next time and definitely want to visit again.

Visited a yakitori restaurant near Hakata Station Chikushi Exit for a casual drink with blogger friends. We left the reservation to a local blogger, and the restaurant used Mitsu-se chicken with good reviews, so our expectations were high. We sat at the counter. The atmosphere was chic with dim lighting, but the prices were reasonable, making it suitable for various occasions. In addition to yakitori, we ordered a few side dishes to toast. The juicy Mitsu-se chicken did not disappoint, even against the sweet sauce. Grateful to the blogger who recommended this great restaurant. Thank you for the meal. Will definitely come back.

Tsukune and soboro don are delicious, especially chicken-based dishes. The pork belly for 300 yen seems a bit expensive though.

I went to dinner with my daughter and was impressed by the quality of service. The staff were attentive, from offering drinks to seeing us off and being mindful of the time. The attention to detail in the food was also evident. Excellent!

I tried a variety of yakitori dishes. They were lightly seasoned but the ingredients were good, so the salt was delicious. The dishes with sauce had a taste similar to mitarashi dango sauce, which I didn't particularly like.
