As a tourist, when you come to Hakata, you definitely want to try the local specialties. After a bad experience at a touristy restaurant the day before, I carefully chose to visit Motsu Nabe Rokkasha. It's a 5-minute walk from the station, not in the bustling area but has a calm atmosphere. The welcoming smiles when entering the restaurant confirmed that it was a good choice. For the motsu nabe, you can choose from four types: Kyushu soy sauce, sesame miso, aromatic spicy miso, and numbing spicy miso. I asked the staff for a recommendation, and they suggested the Kyushu soy sauce, so that's what I ordered. The beer had a nice foamy head, and the Angel Ring cocktail was delicious. The complimentary starter was a rich and creamy butternut squash soup to warm up the stomach. The motsu nabe was prepared by the staff and had a flavorful broth with a hint of soy sauce sweetness, and the chewy motsu was delicious. Apart from motsu nabe, the other menu items were also tempting. Since you can order half sizes, I decided to try a variety of dishes in half portions. The sesame marinated amberjack had a nice crunch, and the savory sesame sauce was delightful. The Japanese beef vinegar motsu was a whole new level compared to what I had before, with a bouncy texture that paired well with alcohol. The white peach wrapped in ham was a standout, with the sweet peach wrapped in cream cheese and salty ham. The sake served was a special barrel sake from Rokkasha that paired well with the motsu nabe. The cherry blossom highball, made with cherry blossom-infused shochu and soda, had a lovely aroma and was dangerously easy to drink. Although I had limited time, I enjoyed everything from the food to the drinks. The staff were friendly, making it a wonderful dining experience.

The steamed egg custard with protruding lid was also amazing. It seems that the corn tempura was the highlight before... it must have been delicious. I think every dish in this restaurant is delicious and I definitely want to come back. I was hesitant to try motsunabe for the first time, but I ended up loving it. The zosui (rice porridge) was also delicious, thank you for the meal. They also suggested the cheese tofu, which is a bit sweet, to have after the zosui ✨ It was truly a wonderful restaurant. As a bonus, the hand soap in the restroom was my favorite ✨Aesop, so I took a photo of it (laughs). I wish there was a similar restaurant nearby.

I'm from Tokyo. I had soy tripe hot pot, raw pork intestines, peach and mint salad, and vinegar tripe. First of all, the hospitality was outstanding. The atmosphere was classy and pleasant. The open kitchen was clean and nice. The staff's movements were efficient and not rough. And to top it off, they were all handsome. The taste of the tripe hot pot was the best I've ever had. I came here because the tripe hot pot place in the station building was crowded, but I'm really glad it was busy. It was a great encounter. Please open a branch in Shinjuku. I think it will become very popular!

For lunch, I went to a nearby restaurant called "Motsu Nabe Rokkasha" near my stay at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka. The corn chawanmushi that came as a complimentary appetizer was unexpectedly delicious. Next, I ordered the sesame marinated amberjack, which was also very tasty and satisfying. This time, I chose the classic Kyushu soy sauce flavored motsu nabe, which was incredibly delicious. No matter how many times I go, it's always delicious! This time, I tried the spicy miso for the first time. It's definitely delicious, but I think my favorite is still the numbing spicy flavor. Also, the dried chicken wings here are highly recommended. You can order them one by one, so be sure to try them before the motsunabe.

It was my first visit to this restaurant at night in a long time. The customer service was excellent, making it a very comfortable experience. The food was all delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The motsunabe (tripe hot pot) was filling, and I had to give up on having a dessert. Thank you for the meal!

On the 5th day of my summer vacation trip, I visited Rokkasho near Hakata Station to eat motsunabe. The interior of the restaurant had a stylish atmosphere. This time, I ordered motsunabe, mentaiko, and corn tempura. With motsunabe, I could enjoy various flavors by adding garlic halfway through. When it comes to Fukuoka, mentaiko is a must. It had just the right amount of saltiness and I couldn't stop eating it with chopsticks.

Having motsunabe for lunch is very convenient because you can eat the same menu as dinner. The spicy miso flavor was just right, with a nice hint of spiciness, and the fried burdock had a great texture. The motsu here was prepared well, without any greasy feeling, so there was no guilt. When I added the noodles at the end, it turned into a tantanmen-like dish.

The staff's attentiveness and the cheerful atmosphere of the restaurant were excellent. Although it is a restaurant mainly focused on motsunabe (offal hot pot), they have a wide selection of wines and also offer a variety of dishes that pair well with wine on their a la carte menu, which was enjoyable. As I was dining alone, I was happy that they were willing to serve half portions of the dishes. I ended up ordering too many dishes from the a la carte menu and by the time I got to the motsunabe, I was already full and had to leave some behind, which I felt bad about.

I made a reservation on Tabelog three days ago and visited the restaurant at 5:00 pm on Friday. The main dish was of course the "motsunabe" (tripe hot pot), but the other dishes were also excellent. Most of the menu items can be ordered in half size, which is very convenient. Here are some of the dishes we tried: - Homemade mentaiko (spicy cod roe) can be ordered in half size, which is half of the regular portion. - Sesame amberjack sashimi, fresh amberjack served with sesame sauce. The half size comes with 3 pieces. - Black vinegar pork and mashed potatoes, tender pork with mashed potatoes as a side dish. For the main dish, we chose the "Kyushu soy sauce flavor" motsunabe over the "sesame miso flavor". The fresh beef tripe was chewy and delicious, with fried burdock adding a unique touch. The garlic used was high-quality Aomori garlic, which was not too overpowering. They also provide extra garlic on the table if needed. To finish, we had the recommended "Ariake seaweed porridge" with the Kyushu soy sauce flavor. The porridge can also be ordered in half size. We started with craft beer "Black tide brewing Lifetime SHIROTO" and then enjoyed Fukuoka's local sake "Hananotsuyu". The service provided by the staff was top-notch, making our dining experience very pleasant. Despite having to catch a flight back to Tokyo afterwards, I wasn't too concerned about any lingering smells. I would definitely love to visit this wonderful restaurant again when I return to Fukuoka.

This is my first visit. It's on the first floor of a building just a bit off from Hakata Station. I don't come to this area often, so I got a little lost. I ordered the sesame amberjack, mentaiko, and asparagus with white miso dressing. Then I had the spicy miso motsunabe. Oh man, it was delicious! I'll definitely come back!

The entrance to the restaurant is hard to find, but the inside has a nice atmosphere, feeling like a hidden gem. It's a good place for a date, as there were many couples who looked happy. Next time, I want to try the spicy tripe hot pot!

The customer service and the taste were both very satisfying. I want to revisit when I go to Fukuoka! I regret avoiding motsu due to being picky, but the champon was delicious. I hesitated between champon and zosui, but I ended up choosing champon this time. I want to try zosui next time for a rematch. I also became curious about the spicy soup.

For dinner in Hakata, we went to "Motsu Nabe Rokkasha" located a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station. This is a motsu nabe specialty restaurant run by the popular robatayaki restaurant "Chinza Takibiya." The modern and stylish interior of the restaurant is very sophisticated. Before the motsu nabe, we enjoyed a variety of small dishes that you can order in half portions, all of which were delicious. For the main dish, we chose the Kyushu soy sauce flavor motsu nabe (1380 yen). The rich double soup made from chicken bones and jaw was delicious. The motsu was tender and melted in the mouth, so we ended up ordering an additional serving (980 yen). The crispy fried burdock root added a nice touch to the hot pot. For dessert, we had champon noodles (350 yen), which were excellent with the soup-soaked noodles. We thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite hot pot.

I visited the restaurant alone, and the staff were very attentive and made me feel comfortable. It was crowded from the opening due to the Golden Week holiday. Reservations are a must. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) was delicious, as well as the other dishes and drinks. I felt like I could stay there drinking for hours. I would definitely want to visit again when I come to Fukuoka for sightseeing.

I tried the recommended raw beef tripe, but the taste is slightly fishy. However, it is still acceptable. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, with an open kitchen that is a distinctive feature, and there is no heavy smell. The seasoning of the dishes is well done and has a delicate feeling. After reading other reviews, I decided not to order the spiciest flavor as some mentioned it was too strong. However, I don't understand why the soup was a bit bland until the end. It may be for health reasons. Unlike other large intestine hot pot restaurants, it doesn't have a rich and oily taste, but the taste of the porridge at the end was just average.

When I looked it up on Google Maps, I passed by and caught a really nice smell, so I couldn't help but stop. But the map was wrong, and it was actually further ahead. I'm glad I continued. It was delicious. It's a great place to drink. I had the spicy hot pot this time, but next time I'll order something milder.

I entered the store and felt the staff's energy was great. I enjoyed the complimentary chrysanthemum chawanmushi, got too excited and ordered too much, but the motsunabe was delicious and I was full. The motsunabe is definitely tasty! Even after trying various dishes, the cost performance is good. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I come to Hakata!

I lined up before the store opened! The soy tripe hot pot with plenty of burdock was delicious! The tea-steamed egg custard and spring rolls served as appetizers were also delicious! The tripe was large and chewy, and I finished it in no time. I want to try other flavors next time.

When you come to Hakata, you definitely have to try motsunabe. Most of the famous and popular restaurants in Hakata serve delicious motsunabe! Yesterday, I felt adventurous and made a same-day reservation at a restaurant I had never heard of before. The 19:00 seating was fully booked, so I visited the restaurant at 17:00 for the counter seat by myself. The interior was beautiful and stylish, and all the staff greeted me with friendly smiles. They even offered to make the dishes in half size since I was dining alone. I was amazed by the variety of intricate and delicious dishes, and I ended up ordering a two-person portion of motsunabe. Everything from the appetizers to the hot pot was delicious, and the staff was excellent. I was surprised by the affordable bill of 7,550 yen for two servings of motsunabe and a bottle of shochu.
