When you come to Hakata, you have to eat motsunabe♪ Part 2○ Order* Motsunabe 3000 yen course* Cold fried chicken We ordered the miso-flavored motsunabe, which was very delicious with its mild white miso broth. The most popular dish, horse sashimi, was served with a sweet sauce, fresh horse meat, and ginger. It was delicious! The cold fried chicken was bone-in, and I thought my teeth might break as I took a big bite. I personally think Nagoya's tebasaki (chicken wings) are tastier. We finished our meal with some zosui (rice porridge) to fill our stomachs. This restaurant was located right behind our accommodation, so we decided to dine here. It seems to be quite popular, as we made a reservation in advance. This turned out to be a great decision. When we arrived at 6:15 PM, the restaurant was already fully booked with reserved customers, and walk-ins were being told that the earliest available seating would be at 9:30 PM. Reservation is a must! Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited the restaurant at 5:00 pm on a weekday. There weren't many customers, probably because it was a weekday, but some people couldn't get in due to reservations. I ordered vinegar motsu and sesame amberjack, as well as miso motsu nabe. Both the vinegar motsu and sesame amberjack were delicious. I was considering getting the vinegar motsu as a takeout. The motsu nabe had a rich soup and the motsu was chewy and tasty. I finished with champon noodles. The prices were reasonable. I wish this restaurant was closer to my home.

When I went to Fukuoka, I couldn't miss trying motsunabe! So I made a reservation at a restaurant recommended by my junior. Before going to Fukuoka, I heard from a local that Goma Saba is also recommended, so I was looking forward to trying it. And on that day, this restaurant offered Goma Saba as a limited special! I love mackerel, and this Goma Saba had a strong ginger flavor without any fishy taste, perfectly matching with the subtle aroma of seaweed. As for the motsunabe, it was simmering on the table, filling the air with a delightful fragrance. When I tried it, the tripe melted in my mouth, so tender and delicious. I chose the miso flavor, and it was rich and aromatic. However, I was a bit disappointed with the drinks, as they were a bit weak. The seating was also a bit cramped, with neighboring tables too close for comfort. Lastly, I noticed that the staff's English was not accurate, leading to misunderstandings with foreign customers. Overall, the food was delicious, but there is room for improvement in terms of drinks, seating, and English proficiency among the staff.

Fukuoka Wanderings. I will continue to post Fukuoka gourmet reviews for a while! A short 2-night, 3-day trip to Fukuoka during the Obon holiday. I visited many gourmet spots, so let me introduce them. I was aiming for motsunabe on the evening of the second day. I couldn't find many good options when searching online, so I decided to visit this restaurant near my hotel, which had good reviews. I made a phone reservation in advance for around 8 p.m. The restaurant was almost full. Despite the appearance of the building, the interior was clean. We had Fukuoka specialties. The appetizer was edamame and motsu ponzu. ✔︎ Vinegar Motsu (750 yen) ✔︎ Sesame Kampachi (1078 yen) ✔︎ Horse Liver Sashimi (1815 yen) We ordered three dishes as accompaniments for drinks. Except for the liver sashimi, the other two were recommended by the restaurant. The horse liver sashimi seems more like a Kumamoto specialty than Fukuoka, but I love meat sashimi, especially liver sashimi. This one served with salt and sesame oil was amazing (*´﹃`*) The vinegar motsu and sesame kampachi were also delicious. Especially the vinegar motsu was thinly sliced and had a fluffy texture that you wouldn't expect from motsu. It's a popular menu item since the establishment of the restaurant. If you come here, this is a must-try. They also offer takeout for vinegar motsu. ✔︎ Motsunabe Soy Sauce (1518 yen for 2 servings) The restaurant recommended miso, but we chose soy sauce. The soy sauce used for seasoning was a blend of light and dark soy sauce. The ingredients included motsu, garlic, cabbage, and tofu, among others. It's a classic motsunabe dish. The motsu was delicious as expected. We finished with zosui (rice porridge). As a gesture of apology for some confusion with our order, they gave us ice cream at the end. I didn't mind at all, but it was a nice touch. The previous customers, service, and food were all great. This restaurant is a reliable motsunabe spot. If you're unsure about where to have Hakata motsunabe, I recommend this place. Thank you for the meal!

We used the restaurant with four people. Each person had a 4000 yen course, drinks not included. The vinegar tripe appetizer was tender and well-seasoned, very delicious. The cod roe was also tasty, but as we don't drink alcohol, it was a bit inconvenient to have it served without rice. There was quite a lot of horse sashimi. It seemed more expensive than the tripe hot pot. The hot pot is apparently popular, so we chose the miso flavor. For the finishing dish, we could choose between champon or for an extra 110 yen, we could have zosui, but champon seemed like a better fit. Lastly, we were served yuzu sherbet, which was delicious. Everything was tasty, and the service was very good.

I indulged in luxurious eel during the day. To end the day, I had motsunabe. I thoroughly enjoyed Hakata (Fukuoka) haha. The motsunabe here looks more beautiful than the usual ones. It's like art. The green of the leeks stimulates the appetite. When eating, I think, I really like the taste of this place. Unlike the motsunabe I often eat, the motsu itself is delicious, chewy, and the fatty part is sweet. The sweet miso of this place goes well with it. And lots of recommended local hot peppers are added. It's not spicy at all. On the contrary, the more you put in, the better it tastes. The cabbage and tofu in the motsunabe are also delicious, so I quickly asked for more motsu. And the finishing champon noodles, also go well with miso. I think a ramen shop with this flavor would be popular. Despite feeling very full, I managed to finish it all. Then, the final final dessert, sherbet, refreshed my mouth and finally I finished everything. Hakata is the best. If you're here, you might run out of money, but it seems like maintaining your health would be difficult haha. I recommend motsunabe (miso) even for those who are picky eaters.

The food is incredibly delicious. This restaurant is highly recommended for miso motsunabe. The champon for the finishing touch is amazingly tasty with a chemical reaction happening. The horse sashimi is also recommended as it is fresh, delicious, and visually appealing. The vinegar motsu is also recommended and indeed very tasty. This restaurant serves top-notch motsunabe with no disappointments.

I tried miso-flavored motsunabe for the first time. The soup had a strong garlic flavor and was delicious. The motsu was soft and fluffy. When I entered the restaurant, the staff asked if it was my first time there, and when I said yes, they explained everything to me, like how to eat it, how to control the heat, and how much to order. I was especially happy that they explained the amount of champon or zosui for the end. It feels good to see the pot empty!

Today, we had a group meeting that only happens twice a year. The 15 members, who are usually scattered across Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu, gathered in Fukuoka this time. We reserved a place called "Itto Tenjin Nishidori" for all-you-can-drink, as we wanted to enjoy Fukuoka-style cuisine. While there are other popular motsunabe (tripe hot pot) places like Rakutenchi with soy sauce flavor, we all prefer the miso flavor at Itto. The motsu (offal) is plentiful, and the other dishes are also delicious. The speed at which the staff served us when all 15 of us ordered draft beer at once was incredible! They must have an amazing dispenser system. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I have tried "motsunabe" at several places in Fukuoka, but Ichifujisan was the best! The staff's service was good, and this time I ordered a course with all-you-can-drink, and the drinks came quickly and the side dishes (vinegar motsu, horse sashimi) were delicious! I will definitely visit again!

The motsu nabe at this place was incredibly delicious! The course with mentaiko, sesame mackerel, and horse meat was just amazing! It was my first time trying miso-flavored motsu nabe, and it was so delicious! It's a taste that makes you crave for white rice! The soy sauce flavor was also delicious! The champon as the finishing dish was also excellent!

In Fukuoka, I tried Ooyama, Tashu, and Yamachu, but I liked Ichibann the best! When I just drank the soup, I thought the sesame flavor was strong, but when I ate it with the tripe and vegetables, it was delicious and amazing! The garlic was milder compared to others, which seemed to enhance the taste of the tripe hot pot even more. I also tried the sesame amberjack, which seems to be a specialty, but I prefer eating it with soy sauce (lol). Motsu Nabe Ichibann was really great! Thank you for the meal!

Motsunabe is a dish with vegetables. During a trip to Fukuoka, I went to Ichifu to eat motsunabe. As soon as I entered the restaurant, the smell of motsunabe filled the air, stimulating my appetite. I ordered the miso-based motsunabe, which was brought to the table almost ready to eat. The motsunabe was very rich and the fat mixed well with the vegetables. It was delicious!! I even ordered extra motsu and had a feast. Personally, I recommend having noodles as the finishing touch, as rice tends to soak up too much fat.

I went to a recommended motsunabe restaurant by my friend in Fukuoka. There are about three stores in Fukuoka. The menu includes motsunabe as well as horse sashimi and sesame mackerel, which are perfect for sake. We ordered horse liver sashimi, sesame amberjack, and mentaiko as side dishes. They were all high quality and delicious, even though they were side dishes! The main motsunabe with soy sauce broth was light and went well with the motsu's fat, and I ended up eating too much because it was so good!

Met up with friends and visited without a reservation just a few minutes before 5 pm. They said it was okay until 6:30 pm so we agreed and went in. Received a kind and detailed explanation, debated between getting a course or ordering dishes individually, and ultimately decided on a drink-all-you-can option with individual dishes! The drink-all-you-can option is usually for 2 hours, but they gave us an extra dish due to the shorter time. Thank you. The recommended miso-flavored motsunabe (offal hot pot) was delicious. The horse sashimi was also amazing. Switched to sake and enjoyed everything up to the end with a comforting zosui (rice soup). Finished our first stop in Fukuoka. This is a popular restaurant so I recommend making a reservation. Thank you for the feast!

I visited with my daughter who came to play from Osaka. We were a little late due to traffic on the way back from Aso, but they welcomed us warmly. We ordered the recommended dishes at the restaurant: 1) Motsunabe miso 2) Premium marbled horse sashimi 3) Sesame amberjack. We finished with champon noodles. My daughter praised the motsunabe as even more delicious than the one she had in Osaka.

I was guided by someone from Fukuoka to a restaurant called "Tenshin no Motsu Nabe-ten" and tried their 6-course basic menu. We had the soy sauce and miso flavored Japanese beef motsu nabe. The miso had a rich and bold flavor, while the soy sauce was light and easy to eat, making it hard to stop eating. The vinegar motsu was absolutely delicious. It was nice to have Fukuoka's Yame sake "Kitaya" included in the all-you-can-drink menu. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) at "Itou" featured in the guidebook was delicious. You could choose from three different types of broth, and I chose the most popular miso flavor. The broth was subtly sweet and elegant, and the tofu served with it was excellent. The offal was firm and flavorful, with no excess fat. I believe this is definitely worth trying!

Enjoying the chewy tripe in a white miso-based hot pot, full of flavor and cooked in a rich soup with cabbage, burdock, garlic chives, and tofu. The curry-flavored "Potetaku" is also a great accompaniment to drinks. This renowned restaurant in Tenjin, Fukuoka, was chosen for the first day of sightseeing. The miso-based tripe hot pot was ordered in advance, and along with a Caesar salad with a warm egg and Potetaku, the meal was delicious. The refreshing lemon sour was also a great choice. The tripe hot pot was flavorful and the chewy tripe from Japanese black beef was a highlight. The experience was satisfying, especially with the addition of champon noodles at the end. Using the national travel support coupon also made it a great deal.
