"Tendon Takada" is a high-class restaurant located discreetly in a prestigious area, with only 8 counter seats available. They offer courses featuring carefully selected tempura and sushi made from seasonal ingredients. I had the opportunity to have a private reservation this time. Starting with appetizers, followed by tempura, sushi, and dessert, every dish was meticulously prepared and truly reflected the season. The tempura, in particular, had a light and crispy texture, thanks to their attention to detail in oil, batter, temperature, and frying technique. You can enjoy the sound and aroma of the frying process up close at the counter, which adds to the experience. The sushi-making technique was elegant and beautiful, and being able to witness the chef's skills up close made the meal even more enjoyable. The portions of tempura and sushi were generous, so I recommend not eating lunch before visiting. Not only was the food delicious, but the chef's personality was also delightful, making the dining experience truly enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful time. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

Congratulations on winning the award. The shop is located about a 6-minute walk from Akasaka Station and an 8-minute walk from Tenjin Station. One dish that left a lasting impression was the "Grated Corn and Jelly," made from Miyazaki corn grated into a mash and topped with ginger-infused jelly. The combination of sweetness and a hint of ginger was delicious. The asparagus tempura was juicy and flavorful, while the snap pea tempura was crunchy and sweet. The sweet potato tempura, fried slowly for 3 hours, had a perfect balance of crispy skin and sweet, soft interior. In addition, the Uni Donburi with seaweed simmered in soy sauce was a delightful balance of uni, seaweed, and sushi rice. The shop is particular about the origin of ingredients, so you can enjoy high-quality dishes. I recommend it if you don't mind the combination of tempura and sushi. Tempura tea may not be suitable for those looking for a traditional tempura experience. The menu I had that day included salt, salt koji, and tempura sauce. The "Tekkamaki" surprised me at first with a mix of French Guerande salt and Rishiri salt. Other dishes included "Nodoguro Aburi," "Aji Nigiri," and "Melon and Strawberry." The service was polite and I felt comfortable throughout the meal. I had a wonderful time and would love to visit again if given the opportunity. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The course started with hand-rolled sushi, followed by a side dish, tempura, and ended with sushi, all in large quantities and with attention to detail. The tempura included shrimp, okra, shiitake mushrooms, and scallops, showing the chef's great attention to detail. The chef was friendly and easy to talk to, and even though it was a counter-only restaurant, I felt relaxed and enjoyed myself. The nodoguro sushi was the most impressive, with its sweetness, umami, and freshness all coming through in every bite. I was also very satisfied with the other tempura and sushi dishes! After finishing the meal, I was very full, and I heard that even some men couldn't finish the meal. I think it would be even more enjoyable to visit seasonally when the menu changes.

I was taken to this restaurant, which was listed in the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog for 2023, just in time for Mother's Day. They serve fresh and seasonal ingredients in dishes like tempura, sushi, and other small plates. Everything was delicious and I was truly impressed. The head chef's kind personality is also wonderful. I could feel his dedication to food. I would love to go back again for sure! ♡

I would immediately say yes if I were invited to the restaurant I had been eyeing since two months ago. This is an adult-oriented restaurant nestled quietly amidst the hustle and bustle of Daimyo. In the evening, they offer a course menu that allows you to enjoy the taste of Japanese cuisine from start to finish. The "Exquisite Tempura and Sushi Course (11,000 yen)" includes appetizers, tempura, and sushi, featuring dishes such as dried seaweed hand rolls with Ariake's finest seaweed, Nagasaki sweet sea bream marinated in kombu, steamed red snapper broth, smoked Hiroshima mussels and Shine Muscat grapes, homemade squid ink, and more. The tempura dishes are particularly impressive, starting with a hand roll and leading to sushi, showcasing the chef's extensive experience. The red snapper broth steamed dish is unique and delicious, and the smoked Shine Muscat grapes are outstanding. The combination of shirako and oysters is also excellent, and the tempura dishes that follow are impressive in size. The course starts with a classic adult kappaebisen snack, followed by an amazing lineup of dishes. Each dish is substantial, making it challenging for women to finish everything. The tempura is fried perfectly, and the salt koji dipping style is great. Before getting too full, they serve a sushi course with five pieces of sushi instead of a tempura rice bowl, which caught me off guard. The mackerel sushi was delicious, but I might have preferred to have it earlier! Overall, it is a great restaurant with delicious food and solid craftsmanship. However, I think they need to consider the portion size a bit more, as it will surely reduce the number of female customers who may struggle to finish the meal. Nevertheless, I was able to witness the skills of a true Japanese cuisine artisan who excels in both sushi and tempura. Next time, I will make sure to specify the size of the ingredients from the start!

I made a reservation at this restaurant two days in advance. I had the opportunity to visit this place. On this day, I chose the 10,000 yen course with white wine pairing. The first dish was sushi rolls made with top-grade seaweed from Ariake. I was so impressed by the delicious seaweed that it might have been the best seaweed I've ever had. The filling was tuna. The meal continued with sashimi and small dishes: bonito and red snapper sashimi, steamed egg custard with sea bream broth (which had no fillings and relied solely on the sea bream broth), smoked mussels with Shine Muscat grapes, onion mousse made with Early Red onions, tempura with ingredients from Kyushu, and sushi with gizzard shad, blackthroat seaperch, squid, and mackerel. The squid was particularly amazing. The meal ended with uni rice and miso soup, followed by a refreshing melon dessert. The white wine, mainly Chardonnay, was expertly paired with the dishes, and we also enjoyed some sake at the end. It was a unique experience to enjoy wine with Japanese cuisine. I would love to visit this place again on a special occasion. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Run by sushi chef Takada, this restaurant offers a set course priced at 10,000 yen (excluding tax) and has only 8 counter seats. The meal starts with fresh tuna and delicious seaweed. A unique chawanmushi without any ingredients, but rich in flavor due to the sea bream broth. I tried smoked Shine Muscat for the first time and it was delicious. Next, the tempura course began with the sound of frying as a nice background music. The sweetness of corn and the firmness of oysters were delightful. I enjoyed various tempura dishes with seafood and vegetables. Then came the sushi. The melt-in-your-mouth feeling of the fatty tuna and the chewiness of squid, every piece of sushi was delicious and exceptional. It was a joy to have a meal with loved ones while enjoying sushi freshly made in front of us and tempura fried right before our eyes. Thank you for the wonderful time. This is an unbelievable value. From the ingredients, cooking method, dishes, to the atmosphere of the restaurant, everything exceeds the price range. I realized that tempura is a cooking method that really brings out the flavor of the ingredients. They have changed my perception of "tempura". The sushi is delicious too! The sea bream chawanmushi, oyster soup, sweet potato tempura, conger eel tempura, and blackthroat seaperch sushi were particularly delicious. Especially the sweet potato tempura had a crispy surface and a tender, sweet inside that was even more delicious than baked sweet potatoes. It was a surprising taste. Thank you for the meal!
