Dumplings starting at 700 yen for a plate of 7 pieces seems a bit expensive at first, but once you start eating, you don't think so anymore (maybe because you're getting tipsy?). The strange thing about this place is that you have to order all the dumplings you want at once, they don't allow additional orders. We ordered the regular "plain" dumplings and the "garlic" dumplings where a quarter of a clove is wrapped in the filling (750 yen). The regular filling is moist and paste-like, with a sweet and soft deliciousness. The garlic dumplings are steamed with the skin and filling wrapped around the clove, giving it a fluffy texture. The taste is so good that you won't mind the smell the next day. The skin is handmade to order, kneaded by the owner, soft and chewy, making each bite enjoyable. It's really delicious here. They only have small bottles of beer (334ml), which is a bit disappointing, but let's think positively about being able to try different kinds. We also ordered the "clams stir-fried with black bean sauce" and the summer limited "chilled chicken soba noodles". The clams dish has a wild flavor with the black bean sauce, reminiscent of a back alley food stall in mainland China. The chilled chicken soba noodles come in a deep dish with ice floating on top of a clear soup. At first, I thought it was water, but when I tasted it, the rich chicken flavor was delicious. The noodles have a good chewy texture, and the steamed chicken on top is so tasty. Light yet flavorful, I found a great chilled noodle dish. This restaurant near the train tracks in Takadanobaba is always crowded, so I went at 5:30 this time, but it was still empty for a Friday. There were regulars at the back of the counter. Go early, have a quick drink and meal, and head home. This place suits that. Definitely worth a visit.

At first, another dinner appointment was suddenly canceled. I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so I visited with two of my colleagues. I called on Wednesday at 6:00 PM as a last-minute decision. Despite the short notice, they kindly accommodated us. The dumplings were delicious, and we had plenty of food and drinks. It was a bit too much, but it was a great meal. Thank you for the feast.

I visited this renowned dumpling restaurant for the first time. The dumplings were small in size, making it seem like you could eat as many as you wanted. They had unique variations like curry, cheese, chili, and sausage, but when I tried them, they were all delicious without any pretentiousness. I thought it was a dumpling specialty store, but they had a variety of side dishes that made me want to order more drinks. We ended up finishing two bottles of Shaoxing wine among three people, which raised the overall cost. It was so delicious. I will definitely go back. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 9 p.m. on a weekday. There were two groups inside, but I was able to enter without waiting. The recommended dish was garlic gyoza, so I ordered garlic gyoza, regular gyoza, firm yakisoba, and liver and leek. The dishes were all flavorful with a strong taste of spices. I felt like the taste might be divisive between those who like it and those who don't. The atmosphere was nice.

I had been meaning to visit this famous dumpling restaurant for a while, but never found the right timing until now. The taste is Taiwanese-style with strong spices. It was delicious, but I think the cost performance is really bad.

Honestly, I was expecting too much from the restaurant Kitana Tran, which is known for its delicious dumplings. The alcohol servings are small and not cheap, the dumplings are small and disappear quickly, lacking in flavor. We were seated on the second floor but most of the time there were no staff around. The shrimp chili dish only had one shrimp per person, and the towels were weak and needed to be peeled by hand. Having Taiwanese sausages available is a good touch, but overall, it was not a great experience.

This is a famous restaurant where you can enjoy incredibly delicious dumplings. While there are many great dumpling places out there, the dumplings here are truly shocking in their deliciousness. Each dumpling is small, but bursting with flavor. The combination of various spices like star anise creates a unique and delightful taste. The garlic-filled dumplings have a surprising texture with whole cloves inside, but they are also delicious. If you love garlic, you must try them. Both types of dumplings have a high level of uniqueness in their deliciousness, making them perfect for pairing with rice. When I visited on a weekday early evening, the restaurant was not crowded. However, more and more customers started coming in, so it might be wise to be cautious during peak hours.

The elderly owner silently makes dumplings from scratch in front of you. The calm staff members create a relaxed atmosphere in the historic restaurant. The dumplings have a unique taste, not like regular side dishes, but more like a snack. They pair perfectly with Shaoxing wine or Baijiu. The Chinese spices give off a strong aroma, making you feel like you're in Taiwan. I ordered the regular and spicy dumplings, but with this flavor, curry might be a good choice too.

I made a reservation and visited Gyoza Sho Muro in Takadanobaba. The garlic gyoza takes 25 minutes to be ready and it's delicious with whole cloves of garlic inside. The gyoza with red chili pepper is tasty. The cheese gyoza is sweet and delicious. The fried rice is fluffy and tasty.

Dinner on 08/14 at Gyoza Restaurant Muro. Ordered regular gyoza for 700 yen and five-ingredient yakisoba for 950 yen. Paid in cash. Good service, delicious food, cold water served, good portion size. Gyoza arrived 9 minutes after ordering, 7 small pieces with sauce of choice, 6 types available but chose regular. Yakisoba arrived 3 minutes later, topped with a mix of vinegar and mustard, with two large wood ear mushrooms. The noodles were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a flavorful salty taste. Overall, a satisfying meal.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. Finally, I made my first visit. Despite the plain entrance, the restaurant was bustling and fully packed. I ordered the regular gyoza, spring rolls, and a small serving of rice. Most customers were enjoying their food with alcohol. As I don't drink, I opted for gyoza and rice. The gyoza was small but freshly wrapped and had a crispy outer layer. The soft filling contrasted well, and the seasoning was mild and pleasant. If you prefer stronger flavors, adding extra sauce might be a good idea. The spring rolls were filled with plenty of vermicelli noodles and had a unique sweet chili sauce that was delicious. While the prices may be a bit high, the atmosphere and portion sizes make it a great choice for pairing with drinks. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Gyoza-so Muro, famous for its Kitana Shumai, has a nice atmosphere with seating on the second floor as well. I made a reservation and visited on a Thursday, even though it was surprisingly busy. The owner and kind mother apologized for any inconvenience caused by the crowd. It seems to be a family-run business, as everyone gets along well and talks comfortably, making jokes. The food was delicious, especially the light and easy-to-eat gyoza. The other dishes were also seasoned very well and tasty. The service was efficient, and I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. I definitely recommend this place and will visit again.

There were rumors that you can only place one order or you will be kicked out quickly, but that was not the case at all. I enjoyed myself for about 3 hours! There is a variety of drinks available, and the Chinese dishes were all authentic and satisfying. And the dumplings!! The regular ones were delicious of course, but the cheese-filled and garlic-filled ones were beyond imagination in terms of taste! The sausage-filled dumplings also had a great texture and were tasty! I didn't try the spicy ones because I don't like spicy food. The garlic dumplings were so delicious! They were smaller in size compared to other dumplings I've had before. It was a gourmet day. They were also selling t-shirts with the restaurant's logo!

On Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m., just a 2-3 minute walk from Toyamaguchi station, there is a cozy restaurant with an L-shaped counter that can seat around 10 people. There is also a second floor. Inside, you will find a commendation certificate from Kitashirando, with the names of Ishibashi Takaaki, Nagasawa Masami, and Eikura Nana. Customers can only place their first order verbally, but additional orders can be made later. The first order for food is written on paper and handed to you. The normal gyoza (dumplings) are small and crispy, but at 700 yen for 7 pieces, they may seem a bit expensive. The garlic dish contains small garlic cloves rolled up. The cheese liver dish was the best, with a strong salty flavor that even those who don't like liver might enjoy. The small-sized fried chicken is perfect as a snack with drinks. The beef rice bowl is like a traditional Chinese dish, with tender meat mixed in a thick sauce. This place is more suited for drinking and snacking rather than having a full meal centered around gyoza.

The sound of dumplings being fried and the unique aroma of the sauce used on the dumplings fill the air. Just this alone increases the excitement of waiting for the dumplings. And when it comes to the taste of these dumplings, it can be described in one word: exquisite. The dumpling skin is just the right thickness, and the filling inside is well seasoned. The cooking is done perfectly, showing that each dumpling is carefully prepared. Furthermore, the staff are friendly and quick to help with any issues. The interior of the restaurant is clean and has a calm atmosphere. Lastly, the pricing at Gyoza Sho Muro is reasonable, offering great value for the quality. If you want to enjoy delicious dumplings in Takadanobaba, I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant. I can't wait for my next visit.

The sign says 'Muro' in vertical writing, but it looks like 'Tai' due to the orientation (lol). They have a variety of dumpling menu options! I want to try them all, except for the spicy ones - normal, garlic (with onions), cheese, curry, larchan, and red (with chili). The dumplings here are made fresh after you order, with the dough stretched and the filling added right in front of you at the counter - it's fun to watch. The 'normal' dumplings are delicious! Surprisingly, they are the best dumplings I've ever had! The 'larchan' dumplings have Taiwanese sausage inside. They taste amazing with the vinegar sauce - it's a perfect match! The 'cheese' dumplings have Edam cheese and chili oil inside. When you bite into them, the cheese stretches out. The combination of chili oil and cheese is great. The 'curry' dumplings have just the right amount of curry flavor - not too strong, not too weak. The 'garlic' dumplings have whole pieces of chopped garlic inside. I have a party after this, but sorry, I want to eat the garlic (lol). These are delicious too! Looking around the restaurant, you can see slippers placed on each step of the staircase leading to the second floor - it's a nice touch. There's a certificate from 'Kitanami Michelin' on the wall. The restaurant was established in 1954, and you can feel the history in the building and the amazing dumplings. There's also a newspaper clipping from 2018 on the wall. I remember reading about the '83-year-old DJ' online. It seems like they retired from making dumplings and DJing, but it's impressive. The menu has many interesting items like 'Horseneck' (secret cocktail), 'Wasp Sake', and 'Tom Yum Kung Fried Rice'. It's a family-run, cozy dumpling restaurant with a great atmosphere. You write your order on a slip of paper and hand it in. You can also add more items to your order. These dumplings were so delicious that I want to try their takeout next time!

The dumplings were delicious. I made a reservation over the phone and arrived as soon as they opened. The restaurant is run by a family, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. They had reserved seats for us and the phone service was friendly. You write down your drink and food orders and can easily add more later. The chef skillfully makes the dumplings in front of you. The regular dumplings were ¥700 and the special dumplings with Taiwanese sausage were ¥750. They were served with a vinegar soy sauce or a transparent sauce with vinegar and chili oil. The aroma and taste of the dumplings were amazing. The Taiwanese sausage dumplings were also delicious. The beer selection was great, and the small glass of beer paired perfectly with the dumplings. The cheese dumplings with garlic were my favorite. The chewy texture and strong garlic flavor were enjoyable. Overall, a delicious and reasonably priced dumpling restaurant in Takadanobaba.

This is a restaurant review for a gyoza restaurant that was ranked in the top 100 in 2021. I wanted to order the usual gyoza for 700 yen, curry for 700 yen, zasai (pickled vegetables) for 200 yen, and a small bottle of premium malt beer for 500 yen. They told me that ordering later would take longer to serve. They brought out negi miso as a complimentary appetizer, which is white leeks topped with miso. The zasai was quite salty. The gyoza was made fresh after ordering, with 7 pieces served in a small plate. The sauce was homemade. The regular gyoza was delicious and easy to eat. The curry had a strong curry flavor from the first bite. They only accepted customers with reservations, and others were turned away. I realized it must be a very popular restaurant.

First, I ordered the "Gyoza Normal 700 yen" and "Liver and Eggplant Stir-fry 700 yen". Since they didn't have draft beer, I asked for a bottle of "Super Dry" beer. There are various types of gyoza available: Normal, Garlic (with onions), Cheese (with Edam cheese), Curry, Red (with chili peppers), and La Chang (with Taiwanese sausage). The eldest master carefully stretched out the gyoza skins, placed a scoop of filling on each one, and meticulously wrapped them up one by one. It was such a beautiful sight to see them make the gyoza after taking our order. There was a certificate on the wall from a visit by Takaaki Ishibashi, Masami Nagasawa, and Nana Natsume on March 18, 2010. I enjoyed my Super Dry beer while waiting for the dishes. Soon after, the Liver and Eggplant Stir-fry and Gyoza Normal arrived. The gyoza were smaller than I expected, more like bite-sized gyoza from Nagasaki or Hakata. I should have ordered two servings for us. The gyoza skin was chewy and delicious. The gyoza sauce was an original light brown color and quite refreshing. I ended up finishing the entire serving by myself. The liver in the Liver and Eggplant Stir-fry was thinly sliced and seasoned simply with salt and pepper, which was really good. It went well with the beer. The bean sprouts were crunchy. I wanted more gyoza, so I added an order of "Gyoza Cheese" for myself. This had the same chewy gyoza skin but with the added chewiness of cheese. It was surprisingly delicious, and I finished it quickly as well. The cozy atmosphere of Gyoza Sho seemed to attract regular customers, and I couldn't help feeling a bit envious. I'd love to become a regular too! (laughs)

I had a meal at a two-story restaurant, sitting at the counter on the first floor. There were a few regular customers, giving the place a cozy, family-like atmosphere. Orders are written on paper and handed to the owner, but I noticed a customer next to me trying to place an order verbally and getting scolded by the owner. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I ordered: - Gyoza - Fried rice - Egg and vegetable stir-fry - Spring rolls The gyoza was priced at 700 yen for a plate, which felt a bit on the expensive side. The size was smaller than expected, but the taste was delicious and you could tell the owner put effort into making them. The food was tasty, but due to the slightly unwelcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, I will give it this rating.

Beer (small bottle) 500 yen (tax included) and garlic dumplings 750 yen (tax included) at a dirty-looking shop. There were autographs from Takumi Ishibashi, Masami Nagasawa, and Nana Eikura. Definitely need beer with dumplings. Was surprised to find chunks of garlic inside. However, 750 yen for one serving of dumplings seems expensive...
