I used it for dinner. I had a pasta and appetizer assortment, and it was very delicious. The ragu was simmered to perfection, and the sauce had an indescribably deep flavor! I definitely want to use it again.

Small restaurant with two 4-person table seats and a small counter seat. The person who answered the phone before our visit and the staff at the restaurant were both very kind, which was nice. The appetizer was average, but we were pleasantly surprised by the three pasta dishes we ordered - they were all delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The Italian food was surprisingly delicious.
- Corn simmered in tomato
- Cold tomato soup
- Salad with homemade tomato dressing (the sweet and sourness of the dressing was amazing)
- Marinated chicken pasta with extra virgin olive oil, crushed black olives, and herb dry salt from Kumamoto
- Tomatoes sourced from Itoshima, Miyawaka, and Munakata, collected while visually inspecting the quality
- Training at Jousu-dori for clean water
- Training at Christies
- Il Sognio Ristorante in Nishinakasu
[Fun fact]
- Ristorante: Waiters in suits, tablecloths
- Trattoria, Osteria: Regular Italian restaurants

I wanted to eat Italian food, so I went to have lunch with my friend on a holiday. The owner seemed very friendly and greeted us with enthusiasm, which made me happy. The lunch set (1200 yen) for the day included a choice of 3 pasta dishes, appetizers, bread, and a drink. My friend ordered the hijiki and shirasu oil pasta, while I chose the seafood tomato cream pasta (+600 yen). The appetizers were stylish, the pasta dishes and the coffee after the meal were all delicious, it was a great experience! I would love to visit again!

All the menu items are well thought out and come in generous portions. The wine selection offers a variety of unique options that will leave you satisfied. If I had to ask for one thing, it would be the ability to order sparkling wine by the glass. The chef has a loud voice that can be a bit surprising (laughs).

We toasted with beer and enjoyed red wine. - Appetizer assortment: Tomato soup, ham, lentils, all delicious - Pickles: Crisp vegetables with just the right amount of acidity - Liver pate: Delicious, especially with the freshly made focaccia bread - Oyster and spinach gratin: Plenty of oysters and spinach, very tasty! The spinach adds flavor to the white sauce. - Mushroom and squid in garlic butter (forgot to take a picture): The garlic flavor is strong and delicious! We were too full to try the risotto or pasta, so we'll save it for next time. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Trattoria Carimero in Yakuin specializes in Italian and game dishes, offering game dishes from November to February when hunting is allowed. Game dishes are a traditional cuisine of nobility in Europe. This time, I had the Italian pasta lunch. I chose the one with seafood ragout and tomato cream sauce with small clams for an additional 800 yen. It was delicious with a good aroma. The appetizer was also substantial and all for 1,000 yen. The restaurant was full of customers as soon as we entered. The focaccia was also delicious and satisfying.

This is an Italian restaurant in Fukuoka, near the Yakuin 2-chome bus stop. We passed by Ramen Gekisen Gen'ei on our way. They usually do not allow bringing wine, but they kindly allowed us this time after we requested in advance via courier. We ordered the 4400 yen chef's choice menu. It included a selection of about 8 appetizers, anchovy and focaccia, grilled chicken thigh with tomato sauce, pasta with baby scallops and peas in cream sauce, and a dessert combination. Even though it's an Italian restaurant, they graciously accommodated our Bordeaux red wine. The only downside was that they didn't have sparkling wine by the glass. We toasted with Heartland beer. We enjoyed the meal with the glass of white wine and our Bordeaux. The owner was friendly and we had a great time dining with my mother-in-law. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I went without a reservation last time and it was full, so this time I made sure to reserve a table. The lunch comes with appetizers, bread, pasta, and a drink, and the price varies depending on which pasta you choose. My friend had a pasta with hijiki seaweed... I forgot the rest. I decided to go for the seafood tomato cream pasta since it was a special occasion. It cost 1800 yen. The appetizers included 6 different dishes, quite a generous portion and delicious! I tried a bit of the hijiki pasta, it was a bit too salty for my taste. As for the tomato cream pasta, well, I'm not a fan of green peas... but it did remind me of the season. Overall, it was a delightful meal!

When I arrived at the opening time, I saw a long line, but it was actually for the curry shop next door. However, my chosen restaurant also started to get crowded, so it might be a good idea to make a reservation for lunch. The dishes had a chef's touch and both the presentation and taste were excellent. I would love to try a different dish next time.

(2022.03.05) I heard that there is a charming pasta lunch spot in the residential area of Yakuin, so I decided to visit despite the possibility of a wait due to it being a Saturday. When I arrived around 12:30, all the tables, about 10 seats, were already filled with customers, but luckily there was one seat available at the counter. Later, when two pairs of customers left, it seemed that they had run out of ingredients and had to turn away the following customers. I felt fortunate to have arrived at that time. The daily pasta lunch options written on the blackboard were 1) Chicken ragu and green pea oil sauce, 2) Karatsu-produced karasumi (salted mullet roe) and Itoshima turnip and shirasu (baby sardines) peperoncino, and 3) Seasonal vegetables (from Miyawaka) and Bolognese crema. Without hesitation, I chose the Bolognese crema. The set included appetizers, bread, and a drink. The salad, with lentils, steamed chicken, and smoked heart, was served first. The salad dressing was homemade and the salad had a crisp texture with a hint of spiciness from the mustard greens, making it delicious. I was surprised that the smoked heart, which I usually don't like, was tasty without any unpleasant smell due to the smoking process. The aroma of black pepper that filled the air when the pasta was served captivated me. The generous amount of meat in large chunks was tender and easily separated with a fork, cooked to perfection with the savory flavor of spices, making it a standout dish on its own. The seasonal vegetables were fuki no tou (butterbur sprout stems and leaves), which I learned were not the usual buds I often have but the stems and leaves. Though I missed the unique bitterness that I associate with fuki no tou buds, I was excited to try a rare ingredient that I don't usually have the opportunity to enjoy.

This street where this restaurant is located has many famous shops such as Karimero, a ramen shop, and a curry shop. When you come to this street, you definitely want to stop by somewhere. Today, I was in the mood for pasta and had a pasta dish made with Itojima pork. The green vegetable was probably spring chrysanthemum, which served as a nice accent to the cream sauce. The salad had sunflower seeds, nuts, various types of broccoli, and lentils. It was delicious.

The menu at the restaurant and the descriptions on Tabelog were different, so I will leave a photo for reference. I indulged a bit with a tomato cream pasta with Saga beef and added a chocolate cake for dessert. I found the sunflower in the salad appetizer interesting. The rest was just average. I prefer focaccia bread with more elasticity. The pasta noodles were delicious! The plates were heated and kept the food warm for longer. Despite the crowd, the wait time was not too long. The chef is amazing. However, I couldn't really taste the Saga beef in the pasta. It seemed to be missing. Perhaps it's difficult to showcase the flavor of Saga beef in pasta. I would like to try the spaghetti aglio e olio next time. I'm sure it will be delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Special pasta set for 1600 yen. Appetizer assortment. The scallop mousse was delicious. Scallops ragout with spinach, piping hot with plenty of sauce. The pasta was a slightly rough type, which made for a good mix. Homemade focaccia, chewy and dense, very tasty. The restaurant is small and the chef is friendly. Lunch options are pasta sets for either 1000 yen or 1600 yen. I didn't find my preferred pasta on this day, so I think it's better to visit in the evening. I'm curious about the game pasta.

I happened to see a post of a restaurant account on Instagram, and the pasta they uploaded looked delicious, so I was curious about it. This area is like a fashionable residential area, with small stylish individual shops, occasional select shops, and thrift stores scattered around, similar to Daikanyama in Tokyo. Amidst the extension of the state of emergency, many shops are closed, but luckily this one was open. I rushed in and ordered a draft beer. It was a Braumeister, I believe. Creamy with fine bubbles, different from the overly sweet Premium Malts. The chubby, Hakata dialect-speaking owner was handling everything alone. Very friendly vibe. The menu was handwritten on a blackboard, and the recommendations were given verbally. I tried the following dishes:
- Pickles of Itoshima vegetables: Crispy vegetables with a mild vinegar taste, crunchy texture, and a hint of sweetness.
- Sandfish confit: Soft and flavorful sandfish with a gentle taste.
- Young sweetfish escabeche: Aromatic spices or herbs on the coating, a nice contrast between the bitterness of the sweetfish roe and the sweet vinegar. The lentil stew on the side was also delicious.
- Wild boar and potato gratin: Tender shredded wild boar meat with a rich flavor, complemented by white sauce and fluffy potatoes. A luxurious feeling that I don't usually experience with gratin.
- Porcini mushroom risotto: Fragrant porcini mushrooms with a cheesy aroma, perfectly cooked rice with a nice al dente texture.
- Grilled Itoshima pork: Recommended alongside oysters, this brand of pork was truly delicious. Delicate sweetness of the fat, perfectly cooked to enhance the tenderness and sweetness of the meat. The mashed potatoes on the side were also delicious. The Tuscan red wine paired perfectly with the meal. As the clock struck 7, I felt a hint of loneliness, realizing that I still wanted to drink a bit more. Oh, I forgot to eat the pasta that I saw on Instagram.

Trattoria Calimero in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. For lunch, they offer Pasta Lunch Set (1000 yen) and Special Pasta Lunch Set (1600 yen) only. On this day, the former had two options: 1) Chicken ragout and spinach (green sauce) 2) Itoshima hijiki and shirasu oil sauce. The latter had only one option: 3) Itoshima mini asparagus and Bolognese crema (meat sauce with cream). I decided to order option 1. First, an appetizer platter is served. The vichyssoise was on the sweeter side. The focaccia had an interesting texture, similar to chiffon cake, with a hint of olive oil flavor. As for the pasta, it was made with ordinary dried noodles. The cooking was slightly underdone, closer to al dente. I felt it could have been cooked a bit more. The seasoning with garlic, olive oil, and black pepper was tasty, but I think pork would have been much more delicious than chicken in the sauce. Overall, it's a good deal as it includes a drink. The evaluation may vary depending on the sauce of the day, but for now, I recommend it. (^o^)/

It's about an 8-minute walk from the Subway Yakuin-Odori Station towards the Keigo Intersection, where you can find a Sri Lankan curry restaurant known for its curry with plenty of meat. I've always wanted to try it as many of my friends recommended it. I went on a weekday when I had a day off from work. The restaurant has a cozy and calm atmosphere with a counter and table seating for about 12 people. They offer a 900 yen lunch set (choice of two pasta dishes) and a 1600 yen lunch set. I opted for the 900 yen set which included a unique chicken ragu green sauce pasta. The appetizers included a cold carrot soup with a delicious sweetness, and a vegetable salad topped with fried onions, lentils, salami, tomato cauliflower mix, and scallop paste on baguette. The pasta had perfectly cooked al dente noodles with flavorful ragu sauce. The homemade focaccia bread was also a delight. I chose a cafe latte for my drink and was pleasantly surprised by its quality. The staff was friendly and provided detailed explanations of the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience at a reasonable price. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the delicious meal!
