We visited Shirokane Chaho in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City on a Sunday morning around 8 o'clock for a breakfast with two people. The location is about a 10-minute walk from Nishitetsu Yakuin Station and Heio Station. Upon entering the premises, you will walk through a lovely green path to the building. We were intrigued by this place as it was featured in the travel guide "Kotorippu Fukuoka." Inside the building, we were seated on the right side, which was quite charming. The entire wall was lined with bookshelves filled with magazines, books, and manga like "What Did You Eat Yesterday?" and newspapers, which we could freely read. The interior seating area was also very inviting, with additional seating options upstairs. We arrived around 8:05 am on Sunday and were the third group, but the 2-person tables quickly filled up. It's a popular spot indeed! They operate on a 90-minute time limit. The background music in the cafe was soothing piano jazz. A young, fair-skinned woman greeted us with a warm smile and we ordered the Classic Morning Set, soup, butter, and maple syrup, as well as the weekly special Caramel Nut Vanilla Ice Cream Pancake. For drinks, we had the original blend hot coffee and deep roast iced coffee. The corn soup was creamy and comforting, while the hot coffee had a rich flavor with a slight acidity that we enjoyed. The iced coffee was served in a chilled copper cup, refreshing and with a more pronounced acidity. The pancake from the Classic Morning Set was beautifully presented, with a variety of sides like potatoes, broccoli, bacon, tomato, and scrambled eggs. It was fluffy, not too sweet, and paired well with the butter and maple syrup. The bacon was particularly flavorful. The weekly special pancake was also delightful, with caramel cream, almonds, walnuts, cashews, and vanilla ice cream. We also enjoyed reading newspapers and magazines from the bookshelves. Shirokane Chaho is a delightful cafe with a green pathway, jazz music, a cozy atmosphere, and delicious pancakes. The staff were hospitable, and we had a great experience. It was a stylish shop standing quietly in a quiet residential area. The pancakes were filled with ingredients but not heavy, and I finished them in no time..! The pasta was also delicious, but personally, the pancakes are a must-try, with a taste that makes you want to eat them again♪♪

Visited in the afternoon on a regular day! There were about 3 groups waiting in line. By 2:00 PM, this place was quite popular! The atmosphere inside the premises, filled with greenery, feels like a foreign space where you can relax! I ordered the walnut red bean butter pancake, and my colleagues ordered the caramel nut pancake! The walnut red bean butter pancake comes with red bean paste, butter, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and walnuts! When you melt the butter and eat it, the pancake is sweet with a slightly crispy texture on the outside. The inside is fluffy and delicious! The red bean paste with walnuts is not too sweet, and it goes well when you dip it in. Lastly, putting the vanilla ice cream on top was my favorite part! If it were up to me, I would have preferred the pancake on its own with this batter! Thank you for the meal!

I found a stylish restaurant nearby that I had never noticed before. I visited on a rainy day, which added to the already great atmosphere. The pancakes were not only cute in appearance but also delicious with a traditional flavor. I personally thought the coffee was well-crafted. They also sold original goods like small accessories, which were adorable. I was short on cash at the time, but I definitely want to buy some next time I visit.

The restaurant has 2 or 3 floors, and the interior is incredibly stylish with a high ceiling. I ordered the pancake with walnut paste and vanilla ice cream, and it was amazing. It was even better than I expected, and it came with a drink for 1350 yen. A luxurious breakfast like this is nice once in a while.

The lunch can be reserved, with a Neapolitan set that can be changed to pancakes for 400 yen. The salad and chilled pumpkin soup were a bit salty. The desserts were sweet and generous in portion size, including coffee jelly, pudding a la mode with plenty of whipped cream, and tiramisu. The drink was hot coffee, and the service was polite but the taste was a bit more rough than expected.

When I visited Fukuoka, I made a reservation in advance for breakfast at a stylish oasis-like restaurant that was renovated from an old folk house. The atmosphere was not suitable for older men, but it was a trendy place. Maybe because I had a reservation, I was seated on the 3rd floor instead of the 1st floor. The 1st floor seemed to be full, so I felt lucky to have the whole 3rd floor to myself. I ordered the Caramel Nut Pancakes for 1350 yen and a Red Grape Drink for 350 yen. The pancakes were moist and had a rich flavor. The caramel was not too sticky and easy to eat, and it paired well with the nuts and pancakes. It was quite delicious and I enjoyed it elegantly. I would also like to try the pancakes with just butter and maple syrup. It seems like they also sell the pancake batter. It was a luxurious morning.

■Visited for breakfast in August 2023. Got off at Hirao Station and walked to the cafe. The entrance surrounded by greenery was lovely, and the interior was a calm space filled with books. It was nice to see coffee being brewed near the entrance. I ordered the premium pancakes from the morning menu, along with an iced tea to cool off. The pancakes were thin and simple, similar to old-fashioned hotcakes, with the cafe's logo "Shirokane Teahouse" stamped on them. The surface was crispy while the inside was fluffy. They were incredibly delicious, especially when topped with plenty of butter and syrup. It was a delightful meal. Thank you.

It is part of the same group as Sushi Aso, Japanese restaurant Hakata Ro, Chinese restaurant Seikisai in Mizukami Park, and a scenic cafe in Itoshima. I visited this place once for dessert after a Chinese course meal when the Chinese restaurant was also located here, a few years after it first opened. This was my first visit in about 10 years. It seems like most people make reservations, as it was almost full by noon despite having plenty of seats on the first and second floors. The view of the approach from the window is lovely. While they also have pasta on the menu, the pancakes seem to be popular. So, I decided to try them. I ordered the Classic Pancake (750 yen) with the Mix Set (650 yen) added, totaling 1,400 yen (tax included; credit card accepted). The Mix Set includes soup, salad, drink, and mini dessert. The soup was like vichyssoise, with a refreshing cold texture and generous portion. The salad mainly consisted of leafy greens with a tasty dressing. The Classic Pancake had a beautiful color when served, topped with butter and maple syrup. The texture was firm, similar to the hotcakes I had as a child, with a nostalgic taste. The mini dessert was a tiramisu, but it didn't have a strong mascarpone flavor, more like a tiramisu-inspired treat. I chose iced coffee as my drink, which was rich and flavorful. The popular pancakes were delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the soup and iced coffee. It's amazing how both Japanese and foreign customers keep coming in one after another, showing its incredible popularity.

Since many people come alone, it has an atmosphere where you can relax by yourself, making you want to visit regularly. They also have new pancakes that come out seasonally, so I go to try the new ones. It seems to be a popular shop among Korean customers as well. There are always Korean tourists every time I visit. It's a lovely shop that is popular among foreign visitors as well. The Creme Brulee Pancake for 1,450 yen is served from the brunch time starting at 10 am, so just be aware that it's not available during the morning hours. The visual presentation was beautiful. The creme brulee is really delicious. The white cube pieces that I thought were cheese turned out to be white chocolate. The lemon sorbet, blueberry sauce, blueberries, white chocolate, they all seemed to be the main flavors, each flavor standing out, and it was really delicious. The Pancake Drink Set for 350 yen, I usually go for coffee, but this time I decided to try the tea. The cup and saucer are simple and stylish. The tea is also delicious and goes well with the pancakes.

It's a weekday, but I took a day off to indulge in "oshi-atsu" activities (doing things that my favorite idol does, like eating at the same restaurant or visiting the same shops). And tonight is the eve of the festival, with HKT48 performing, so I'm really looking forward to it. It reminded me of Shirokanedai in Tokyo, which is a high-end residential area. The restaurant opened at 8 a.m., but when I arrived at 9 a.m., it was already full, so I had to wait outside. While waiting, I struck up a conversation with someone taking photos in the greenery. It turned out they were taking pictures for the restaurant's website, which was going to be updated soon. The owner mentioned how the place had grown in the past 10 years, from a small establishment to a jungle-like setting. After a short wait, I was seated and ordered the Classic Salad Set (pancakes with salad) and the original blend coffee. The room I was seated in had bookshelves lining the walls filled with travel books, coffee-related books, and children's books. The morning light streaming in through the large windows created a pleasant atmosphere. The salad arrived first, beautifully adorned with chrysanthemum petals and a lovely scent. The coffee, served in a stylish cup with the restaurant's name subtly printed on it, was rich and flavorful. It was made with a special blend from a renowned coffee shop. As I sipped on the coffee, I noticed some coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup, leading me to believe it was brewed with a stainless steel filter, but upon peeking into the counter later, I saw they used a paper drip method. Lastly, the pancakes arrived - thin and perfectly browned with an elegant branding from Shirogane Chabo. They were simple in taste but paired well with butter and maple syrup. Despite intending to have a light breakfast, I found myself quite full afterwards. Next time, I'll aim for the same seat as Moripo!

Morning. Previously, there were many Korean customers, but on this day, it was just solo diners, creating a quiet atmosphere. I also dined alone, enjoying my own time. I ordered the walnut red bean butter pancake set for 1400 yen with a hot coffee. I love all the toppings - red bean paste, butter, vanilla ice cream, and cream. The walnuts in the red bean paste added a nice texture. It was delicious! Starting the week with these pancakes makes me feel like I'm off to a good start. On a side note... as I was gazing outside before the pancakes arrived, I saw a familiar man entering the restaurant. I thought he might be a kindergarten dad, but no! It was Haru-san from Fukuoka TV, with his wife. Knowing that Haru-san also visits this place makes me like it even more.

I ordered the raw tiramisu and hot apple chamomile tea tiramisu this time, and they were both delicious! The texture was somewhere between fluffy and soft. When I cut it with a fork, it felt like I hadn't cut anything at all, it was so fluffy! It's not like the smooth and creamy tiramisu I've had before, but more like a fluffy and soft one with a strong egg aroma. It has a subtle sweetness that I really like! The smell and aroma of the chocolate are also wonderful! The way they sprinkle the white sugar is also well done. Personally, I prefer this tiramisu over simple classic pancakes. Highly recommended!

Second visit! Perfect place to relax on a holiday. The staff are all super friendly. I ordered the Relax Rose Herbal Tea and pasta. The herbal tea was warm and calming ☺️ The pasta was delicious! The firmness of the noodles was just to my liking! The bacon, which made me want to keep eating, was a bit too salty for me, so it's better to mix it in. The combination of egg, cheese, and pepper was really good ☺️ I was just satisfied with my meal. Thank you ☺️

Pancakes 75, Coffee 80. I visited this place because the pancakes looked cute and delicious. They were nicely cooked and had a good appearance, but the taste was just average, like eating a sponge cake. The syrup, made with not too sweet maple, was tasty. However, I feel like it didn't quite live up to the overall score. The service from the staff was also not great.
