The course at Takashi Kawakawa's restaurant features a charcoal-grilled beef set using lean Omi beef, making it very healthy. The first picture shows the kimchi and other side dishes, which are not too salty but just right. The second picture shows kimchi with lactic acid bacteria, making it easy to eat. The last photo is of the cold noodles served at the end. They were delicious and perfectly chilled. There was also dessert, but I didn't manage to take a picture of it. The atmosphere is great and perfect for a date.

I went for the first time and ordered the limited beef cutlet and minced cutlet lunch set. The service was polite and friendly. The beef cutlet was made with red meat and fried, but it was light and you could choose from various sauces like soy sauce, mustard, and wasabi to dip it in. The minced cutlet was also crispy and delicious.

I made a reservation for 11:00 on a weekday for lunch. Although a few customers came without a reservation, they were turned away because the restaurant was fully booked. I ordered the weekday special beef cutlet and minced cutlet set meal, as well as the charcoal-grilled meat set meal. The side dish namul had a refined spiciness that was delicious, and the beef-infused chawanmushi that came with the grilled meat set meal had a gentle and tasty Japanese flavor. It might be the most delicious chawanmushi I've ever had! (laughs) The beef cutlet and minced cutlet were both juicy and full of meat. They were crispy without being greasy, and were light and easy to eat. Personally, I found that adding wasabi to the beef cutlet and salt to the minced cutlet was the best way to enjoy them. The staff were polite, the food was delicious, and the cost performance was good, making it a great restaurant. Even the beer was delicious.

I was unsure where to have lunch and decided to visit this place for the first time. It wasn't too crowded on a weekday, so I was able to quickly secure a seat at the counter. They seemed to have a lot of meat bowls for lunch, but since it was my first visit, I opted for the 120g grilled meat set. There were four different cuts of meat, each offering a different enjoyable experience and they were all delicious. The side dishes were also plentiful, making the rice go down easily. I did notice that the extra rice was priced at 100 yen, which was a bit of a surprise, haha.

I ordered the Duck River Takashi Omotenashi. I could only take a picture of the appetizers, but they were all delicious. Next time I go, I want to try the limited quantity beef bowl. - Appetizers: Beef sashimi, chawanmushi, kimchi, onion dish, seared dish (especially chawanmushi and kimchi were delicious) - Beef tataki salad - Yakiniku (medium rare, ichibo, side ribs) - Sukiyaki-style (thinly sliced and dipped in egg) - Grilled rice ball tea porridge - Dessert - Plus beef tongue stew. It had a stew-like flavor.

♡【Kamogawa Takashi】♡ Kyoto ❤️ Marutamachi Jingu Marutamachi ♡ Limited One Coin Lunch for ¥500 ♡ Look for the red cow curtain as a landmark for this shop. On this day, you can enjoy Omi beef bowl for just one coin, so I made a reservation in advance and came here! ♡ The interior of the shop has a clean and traditional Japanese restaurant feel with many counter seats. They exclusively use the Omi Hino beef from the Okazaki Ranch, which has been passed down for six generations. Isn't it amazing to have a one coin lunch?! The regular size rice is 130g, and the large size is 180g, so even the large size is less than the usual beef bowls out there. Even women can easily eat this amount (*ˊ˘ˋ*) The meat topped with egg is quite generous, with plenty of diced meat, making it very satisfying! It's so tender that it crumbles easily when you chew. The taste is quite rich due to the beef, which only increases your appetite! There's a ladle provided so you can enjoy the rice, meat, and egg together. The miso soup with beef fat was my first time trying it, and it wasn't greasy at all. The onion was very sweet and delicious! I ended up finishing it all...♡♡ Typically, beef bowls at regular shops cost around ¥500-¥600, so this special lunch is really worth it! There was more meat than I expected, so I was very satisfied! I don't see many rice shops between Marutamachi-Kawaramachi and Marutamachi-Gojo, so this will definitely come in handy (。•ᴗ•。)♡ This experience made me think that it would be nice to enjoy a yakiniku dinner here next time. If you're interested, be sure to make a reservation and give it a try! ♡ Shop Name: Kamogawa Takashi Reservations: Available Access: 8-minute walk from Keihan Main Line Jingu Marutamachi Station Business Hours: 11:00-14:00 (L.O 13:00) / 18:00-20:00 (L.O 19:00) Closed: Every Tuesday + 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month (may change before holidays) ♡ #KamogawaTakashi

I had lunch at "Kamogawa Takashi" in Marutamachi, Kawaramachi, a restaurant I had been wanting to visit for a while. The lovely exterior with a large red cow noren is charming. The cozy interior atmosphere, especially at the counter seats where you can enjoy conversations with the chef, is delightful. The lunch menu "Beef Cutlet Takashi" is limited to 10 servings per day and requires advance reservation. It uses the lamp part of Omi Hino beef. The beautiful presentation and the medium-rare cutlet are irresistible. Despite being thick-cut, the meat is incredibly tender and the juices overflow in your mouth. The rich umami flavor spreads, making you feel happy. It is recommended to sprinkle a little salt on it. Until July 20th, there was a reduction festival where the 2600 yen meal was discounted to 2000 yen, which was a great deal. Both the drink and dessert were complimentary. The fully ripe Hokkaido melon was exquisite, and the grape jelly was refreshing. It was a very satisfying lunch, and I had a blissful time.

I made a reservation in advance for dinner during lunch time. The dishes, from appetizers to dessert, were all carefully prepared and delicious. It was also nice to receive detailed instructions on how to cook the meat and vegetables. I would like to visit again.

Today, I visited the yakiniku kaiseki restaurant, Takashi Kamogawa, for lunch as I had been planning for a while. I made a reservation on the same day in the morning, so I got a seat at the counter, which was sufficient. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a layout typical of a Kyoto townhouse, with counter seats right after entering, table seats in the back, and tatami rooms, etc. For lunch, I had the steak set with Omi beef. The set included meat (choice of rump or sirloin), vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, onion, bell pepper), rice, meat broth, and namul and kimchi side dishes. They set up a charcoal brazier on the other side of the counter (kitchen side) and served the meat and vegetables for us to grill on the brazier, a style similar to yakiniku! It was a luxurious yakiniku kaiseki meal where we grilled each piece carefully over the flames instead of grilling them all at once. Good quality meat is satisfying even in small amounts. As the chef mentioned, the taste and quality of the meat can vary greatly depending on the producer and the chef. It's a word of confidence in their sourcing and skills. It was a very satisfying lunch, and I definitely want to try the special selection meal next time. With the situation around COVID settling down, I would like to visit for dinner as well. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

That's right! Let's eat in Kyoto #54 - Meaty 50 Days #45 - 2021 500 Yen Lunch Showdown Season 2 ~ Part 3 "Kamogawa Takashi" (Kyoto, Jingu Marutamachi). It's been 7 years since my last visit. I ordered the Omi beef bowl, regular size, for 500 yen.

I had a one-coin meal (500 yen including tax) which included Omi beef bowl, beef fat miso soup, bean sprout namul. It was such a great deal that I was worried if it was okay. The egg and beef were both so tender and delicious! I would love to come back for sukiyaki and other dishes. Thank you for the meal.

I visited aiming for the set of Omi beef cutlet served for lunch. It was cooked right in front of me and served in a perfect state. The meat was tender and crispy, making it incredibly delicious. It's worth visiting just for this dish.

We had a small celebration and made a reservation to visit with 3 adults and 2 children. We were seated in a private table at the back of the restaurant for a mini party. This was our first visit to this place, which we had known about for a while. It has a nice atmosphere. Just to clarify, this is not a yakiniku restaurant, but a "meat cuisine" or "meat kappo" establishment. Since we had children with us this time, we decided to order a la carte instead of opting for a course menu. Looking at the menu, there were many cuts of meat considered rare delicacies. Let's try a little bit of each! We grilled them on the tabletop grill brought to our table. They were cooked rare and tasted delicious with wasabi soy sauce or wasabi salt. The meat was tender and packed with flavor. The marbled fat left on the meat was also tasty. The carefully selected Omi beef was truly amazing. Towards the end, we also tried some hormone (offal) which surprisingly had no unpleasant smell at all! I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail. We enjoyed sampling various cuts of meat little by little, and by the end, we were perfectly satisfied. Along with the restaurant's ambiance, the impressive selection of Shigaraki ware showcasing the meat dishes was another highlight. It's not just about the ingredients, but also about these kinds of details that are important. Despite being a grand "meat cuisine" or "meat kappo" restaurant, the atmosphere is not intimidating at all, and it is child-friendly even when ordering a la carte. If you feel like indulging a bit and enjoying good meat in a nice setting, I would definitely want to visit again. Oh, and as we were leaving, I noticed a customer at the counter leisurely enjoying their meat alone. It made me think that this is also a nice way to enjoy a meal.

On a certain weekday at lunchtime, I finally got a chance to visit here, which I had been curious about for a while. I arrived around 11:30 AM and entered the restaurant. There was one group of customers already there, and no one else came in after me. I prefer beef cutlets over pork cutlets, so I was aiming for the beef cutlet that they offer here. However, when I looked at the menu, it said "reservation required" which was a disappointment. I confirmed with the staff, but unfortunately, I was out of luck. The menu on the sign outside didn't mention anything about reservations. So, I was a bit surprised. The dishes here were quite expensive and all seemed to be courses rather than set meals. I didn't want to stay long as I had other plans, but then the staff recommended the beef bowl to me. I knew they had this on the menu from the start, but I had initially ruled it out. So, I ended up ordering the large beef bowl. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. It looked more like a bowl of something else rather than a beef bowl. However, it came with bean sprout namul and miso soup with beef fat, all for 700 yen for the large size! The regular size is 500 yen. The taste was unquestionably good! It was a few levels above the typical beef bowl chains, yet the price was almost the same. If places like Yoshinoya added miso soup, pickles, and an egg to their beef bowls, I would definitely go there more often. Delicious!! However, the large size had a small portion, so even women should have no problem finishing it. (Please note that this is based on my own standards, so order at your own risk)

I visited because I wanted to try a variety of delicious dishes. I like lean meat, so I slowly grilled the recommended lean meat and vegetables over charcoal. The kimchi was also lightly flavored and to my liking. Next time, I would like to try the side dishes.

I had yakiniku for lunch. The appetizers included several dishes made with meat, all of which were well seasoned. The yakiniku had juicy and tough cuts of meat. The grilled rice balls were delicious. I think it was nice to dine in a clean restaurant.

I visited for lunch. I ordered the Aged Omi beef bowl for ¥500. It came with bean sprout namul and soup. The beef in the bowl was firm but had a rich and deep flavor. The soup was sweet from the beef fat. It felt like a good deal. The restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere and the restroom was also of a decent level. Thank you for the meal.

We went to the restaurant after visiting the clinic. It was when Typhoon 19 was approaching Kyoto. I hesitated for a moment when I saw the menu. It was a bit expensive! There were menu items in the 2000 yen range, but I decided to go with the charcoal-grilled lamp steak (3300 yen) because it was described as lean meat. Since there were few customers due to the typhoon, the chef cooked the steak while chatting with us. When I mentioned that I live in Fushimi Ward, I was lightly teased. The meal came with rice, pickles (kimchi, namul, etc. in Korean style), miso soup with beef broth, dessert, and coffee. The coffee was freshly ground and dark roasted. It made me feel luxurious and special. ♡

Visited a restaurant near Kawaramachi Marutamachi at the end of the Heisei era, specializing in Omi beef dishes. A few days ago, I stopped by and enjoyed à la carte dishes at a table in the back, which were delicious. This time, I savored a course meal at the counter seat. Everything was delicious, but personally, I prefer ordering à la carte. Thank you for the meal.
