I bought a Stollen with honey and gum in a rectangular prism shape for 1188 yen including tax. I had Stollen two years ago, but this year's version is my favorite because of the change in sugar. My gourmet daughter also said, "This season's Stollen is the best among all we've tried!"

On this day, I had work in Kitaoji and stopped by "Ame no hi mo Kaze no hi mo" to buy some bread. It's an area that I rarely visit because it's quite far from the station. I arrived at the shop around 13:30 and there was only one other customer. I tried three items that day: Rain and Wind French Toast, Croissant Oza Mondo, and Upper Crescent Moon. The Rain and Wind French Toast was a simple French toast, not too sweet. It was soaked in egg mixture just enough to retain the taste of the bread itself. It was different from the French toast we make at home, but I found the flavor to be quite enjoyable. The Croissant Oza Mondo had a crispy surface and a moist texture inside. The rum aroma was delightful but not overpowering, making it suitable even for those who don't like alcohol. I loved the balance of the rum flavor and aroma. The almond cream was not too sweet, making it easy to eat without feeling heavy. The Upper Crescent Moon was a crispy croissant with a slightly bitter and fragrant taste. The combination of walnut, butter, walnut cream, and mango created a delicious pastry. It was similar to the Croissant Oza Mondo but with a stronger nutty flavor, giving it a luxurious touch. I realized I should have chosen a sandwich or something savory to complement the two similar pastries I bought. Nevertheless, both were delicious, but I couldn't help but feel a luxurious regret for not trying something different. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I am at a bakery in Kita-ku, Kyoto City. Based on the information from reviewers, I decided to buy the bread here, as they said the shokupan (Japanese white bread) is excellent. The slightly wheat-scented, fluffy shokupan is delicious! What's more, I was amazed by the price of 300 yen for one loaf! The walnut and olive bread has an oily but firm texture, making it a great accompaniment for wine. The fig bread has chunks of figs inside, a reliable combination. There are many delicious bakeries in Kyoto! I would love to visit this shop again.

On 5/3, I went on a drive around Kyoto and Shiga to explore bread shops! The third shop I visited was located in Kita-ku, Kyoto called "Amekaze". It reminded me of the poetry of Kenji Miyazawa. Rainy days, windy days, sunny days, cloudy days - I always visit bread shops. The shop had a lot of wonderful products. They sold a moist bread called "Moist Bread" which was described as the ultimate soft and chewy bread. They also had a variety of sandwiches like pizza, croque monsieur, focaccia, bacon epi, and a sandwich with a mix of ingredients like walnut basil chicken and shrimp avocado which I personally love. I definitely wanted to try their "Amekaze" bread with rain and wind written on it. They also had a catchy croquette sandwich called "Koroppe". Marupan was sold individually or in pairs, perfect for buying for yourself or for someone waiting at home. In the showcase, they mainly displayed sweet bread like melon pan, with unique names like "Rising Sun", "Temari", and "Akane" which had a Kyoto vibe. I bought the "Amekaze" and "Jogen no Tsuki" breads. I enjoyed the "Amekaze" bread in the car on the way to Shiga. It was a light and crispy French toast with just the right amount of egg mixture. The cocoa powder writing added a hint of bitterness. On 5/10 morning, I tried the "Jogen no Tsuki" bread, which had won a gold award. The twisted croissant dough was crunchy and filled with chunks of walnuts. The harmonious combination of crispy and moist textures was delightful. The award-winning history was definitely well-deserved!

I purchased the following 5 items: ① "Waxing Moon" ② Mini Croissant ③ Cream Pan ④ Rain and Wind French ⑤ Rising Sun. I think "Waxing Moon" is probably the signature item here, and personally, I really like it. The texture of walnuts, the sweetness of walnuts and mango are good. "Cream Pan" was also quite good. There is a lot of cream in it. For those who don't like a lot of cream, it might be a bit too much, but the sweetness is moderate. "Rain and Wind French" was a bit disappointing for me.

Before going to Kyoto, I wanted to visit this bakery that I was impressed with about 10 years ago. All of their breads are delicious, gentle, and warm. This French toast is also delicious. In addition to the ones in the photo, I also bought chestnut anpan and swirl savory bread. The hard breads are delicious! It was an exciting bakery that made me feel happy!

Before going to visit Daikaku-ji, I bought some bread. It's nice that they open early in the morning. I couldn't buy a sandwich because I was worried about carrying it around all day, which was a shame because it looked really delicious. I bought a white grape-filled bread and a cake that looked like a lemon, but when I ate it, it didn't taste like cake. Next time I go, I want to try the sandwich, which looked really delicious.

On this day of my Kyoto trip, it was snowing heavily from the morning, with the snow even showing up in the photos of the exterior!! Due to this situation, I only purchased the above item that was easy to carry (T_T) The item I received was hot and freshly baked. Despite being a bit salty, it was a delicious treat that warmed my frozen stomach. I devoured it in no time. Thank you for the meal.

"Popular bakery 'Ame no Hi mo Kaze no Hi mo' near Kenkon Shrine. Not a big chain, but I've heard good things about it. I visited once before, but they didn't have much left. The 'Kurukuru Savory' (¥280) had a unique name and visual appeal. It was delicious! A hard bread with a crispy texture, filled with bacon, cheese, and walnuts which added to the flavor. The surface had a crunchy texture that contrasted with the dense bread, making it a delight to eat. The 'Ham Cheese Focaccia' (¥180) had a soft texture with plenty of cheese, onions, and olive oil, giving it a Western flavor. It was tasty. 'Kurukuru' is like an invention, it was so unique. They had other interesting menu items, so I'll definitely visit again."

I visited around 14:00 and the restaurant was experiencing shortages. The French toast had the name of the restaurant, "Amekaze," imprinted on it, which left a lasting impression. The taste was undeniably delicious. I would like to visit again when they have a better selection of items.

I hadn't eaten lunch, so I decided to have some bread. I was thinking of getting Chloe's bread, but decided to try somewhere different this time. It was around 3 o'clock, so there weren't many options left, but I still managed to buy a few. The store seemed to be run by a single, beautiful female staff member. The bread selection was mostly on the hard side, and I was surprised by the chewy inside and crispy outside texture. I bought a fig bread, a cheese bread, and a bread with raisins and sesame seeds (I forgot the name). They were all delicious, even though they had been made a while ago. I can only imagine how much better they would be if they were fresh out of the oven. I'll make sure to go earlier next time.

Croissant for 205 yen, Croque monsieur sandwich with bread for 216 yen, and whole grain cream bread for 173 yen were purchased. The croissant is rich in butter, with a crispy surface and moist inside, very delicious. The whole grain cream bread was my first time trying it, but surprisingly, the whole grain and cream go well together. There are many certificates displayed inside the store. The quality is truly convincing.

A bakery near Funoka Onsen. All the breads are delicious, but there are many unique ones like chestnut bread and bread rolled with chocolate. And they have French toast with the bakery's name on it! Despite the approaching typhoon, customers kept coming in without a break, showing that it is indeed a valuable shop.

Visited during snack time. There were constant visitors, which raised my expectations. I didn't particularly like the red bean butter bread dough, but the walnuts and raisins kneaded into the dough, along with a moderate amount of butter, created a flavor that I enjoyed as it wasn't too sweet. The cream bread had a unique dough that wasn't to my liking, and the cream inside was disappointing. The white bread and croissant were delicious for breakfast. Overall, I think it's a good bakery with reasonable prices.

First visit. I arrived around 9am on a Saturday morning, and there was one other group of customers already there. I heard that "Upper Crescent Moon" was popular, so I decided to try one, as well as a curry bread from Briant Kitayama Honten that I was impressed by. I wanted to try various curry breads. The Upper Crescent Moon was visually firm, but when I tasted it, it was not as hard as it looked. It had a crispy texture like a croissant, and the walnut added a nice crunch. The balance of mango cream was exquisite and delicious. The curry bread had good value, with flavorful curry filling, but the bread around it was a bit too crispy for my liking. I would like to try different types of bread next time!

It was a retro atmosphere shop. There were a variety of bread types, from sweet bread to hard bread, so I was undecided. The mentaiko France had mentaiko soaked in the bread, and when baked just before eating, the bread became crispy and delicious.

I stopped by this bakery because it was on my way during a trip. There were no other customers at the time, so I was able to take my time choosing products. The unusual name of the bakery seems to have been inspired by a poem by Kenji Miyazawa. I had already checked out the bread that had won a grand prize in a contest, but I also wanted to try a hard bread that seemed like it would last longer. There were various items that caught my eye, such as the fashionable Fougasse, Danish pastries, sandwiches, and the popular Crescent Moon. One item that caught my attention was the Crescent Moon, but due to its size and texture, it didn't seem like I would be able to eat it right away, so I decided to pass on it. One of the bakery's specialties that won the All Japan California Walnut Confectionery Bread Contest was a hard bread in the shape of a crescent moon filled with plenty of walnuts, cheese, and bacon. The combination of cheese, bacon, and walnuts, along with the crispy bread crust, created a delicious flavor that spread in my mouth when I took a bite. The Fig and Walnut bread was also delicious, with the promise of the delicious combination of figs and walnuts, as well as the great flavor and texture of the bread dough. Both were delicious, but unfortunately, I could only buy hard bread that was easy to carry around due to my travel plans. All the bread displayed in the store looked delicious. They also had convenient items like sandwich bread and savory pastries, so I think it's a great bakery to have nearby.

There are individually packaged breads lined up, and you can pick them up by hand. There is also a showcase where you can ask the staff to get the bread for you. I had a hard time deciding which bread to choose from the delicious lineup, but ended up buying a croissant and a swirl savory bread. The croissant was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it was delicious from start to finish. The swirl savory bread was labeled as the award-winning walnut bread, and when something is described like that, you can't help but buy it. The crunchy texture of the walnuts, the perfect amount of saltiness, and the chewy hard bread dough create a well-balanced flavor. I immediately wanted to come back for more. There are many other breads that caught my eye, so I will visit again.
