Visited the pastry boutique at the luxurious Hyatt Regency hotel on Shichijo Street. Ordered the Berry Jelly and Champagne Mousse Cake with tea for ¥1300. The cake looked the most appealing visually. The rich sauce on the outside was quite intense. The champagne mousse was light and it was hard to tell it was champagne-flavored. Inside, there was a strawberry jelly which was a unique touch. The jelly had a refreshing texture. The cookie base was quite hard, couldn't cut it with a knife or fork, so ended up eating it separately. It seemed more like a base to support the delicate cake rather than being an integral part of it. The tea was reasonably priced for a hotel, but it got bitter quickly and became hard to drink without milk towards the end. Honestly, it didn't meet my expectations, but it's a memorable place for me and I will definitely visit again.

When I visited this shop around December 2022, the entrance to the store was a bit hard to find as it was up the stairs in the lobby. However, the hotel staff kindly guided me. I was interested in the Stollen (mini) that I had seen information about before, but this time they only had the large size available. I decided to go for the small size Panettone and vanilla cookies instead. The prices for the bread and cakes they were selling seemed reasonable considering the hotel atmosphere. The small Panettone was priced at 950 yen, which was quite reasonable for its size. It was not the trendy bubble-stretched interior, but the buttery aroma and well-balanced mix of fruits like raisins and orange peel made it delicious. The vanilla cookies, priced at 850 yen, were also satisfying with their size, texture, and flavor. Although I didn't buy cakes or bread this time, they looked delicious as well. If I have the chance to visit the area again for sightseeing, I would definitely stop by this shop.

On Monday at 10am, I visited the cafe for a quick stop before my walk. They offer a variety of original cakes, homemade chocolates, baked goods, and bakery items for both takeout and dining in. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake drink set, which consisted of a soft and smooth cream with a moist sponge and juicy strawberries. The cake was cut into a perfect square size. The coffee that came with the set was also delicious.

Located on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt Regency. Visited for the first time on a holiday afternoon. Bought chocolates as souvenirs. The chocolates are sold by weight after breaking a chocolate bar. Bought 1 piece each of 3 different kinds while feeling nervous. The total for 87g of chocolate was 940 yen. Received a little white chocolate as a gift. The chocolate smelled strongly of cranberries. It also seemed to contain orange peel and pistachios. The shop also has a café. There is also an Italian restaurant called "Sette" in the same space. I would like to visit again in the future.

I had some time before dinner, so I bought a cake at the cake shop in the hotel. The atmosphere was very nice, fitting for a Hyatt Regency, but the taste was disappointing. Even compared to delicious cakes from the countryside, it fell short. It was quite expensive, but I think Cozy Corner's cakes are tastier.

Located about a 5-minute walk east from Shichijo Station on the Keihan Main Line, across from the National Museum of Kyoto, is the Hyatt Regency Kyoto hotel. It features 189 rooms, including 4 suites, and 3 restaurants. One of these restaurants is the Italian restaurant "Trattoria Sette," which has a bakery corner offering freshly baked bread, grissini, focaccia, and pastries made with seasonal fruits. The hotel has an entrance on Shichijo Street as well, with a casual space for takeout and eat-in options. I visited after dinner for some desserts to enjoy in my room. I bought a cheesecake and a pudding. The cheesecake was a baked type, rich and dense with a delightful contrast between the center and the outer edges. The pudding was topped generously with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, creating a perfect balance of fruity acidity with creamy, rich pudding. The caramel sauce added a nice touch of bitterness. The next morning, I also bought a loaf of cranberry and walnut Campanile bread to enjoy at home. The bread had a lovely aroma when unwrapped, and the flavors of wheat, cranberries, and walnuts were delightful. Despite the high quality, the prices were reasonable, making me want to try more of their bread offerings.

Patisserie Boutique, located a 10-12 minute walk from Nanajo Station, is a sophisticated and stylish pastry shop on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt Regency Kyoto Hotel. Despite its beautiful atmosphere, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it a great option for purchasing sweets to enjoy at home. They also offer seating for those who want to relax and enjoy their desserts in the elegant surroundings. I ordered the popular Mizuho Pudding, which was topped generously with strawberries and blueberries. The pudding was smooth and rich, with a hint of sweetness from the fruits and a slight bitterness from the caramel sauce. The desserts here are visually appealing and offer classic flavors, making it a great choice for those looking for a Western-style pastry shop near Nanajo. Bon appétit!

At 3 pm on a regular day, I stopped by after visiting Sanjusangendo. There were still a few pastries left, such as delicious apple pie, cakes, and chocolates. I tried the focaccia and croissant, which were crispy and delightful. Since it's a hotel bakery, the croissant was top-notch.

The restaurant was probably Hyatt Regency Kyoto, located near Chisen-in Temple along Higashiyama-dori. The mother made a reservation and bought a total of 3 whole pies, which were delivered by Baba Eats. The apple pie had a diameter of 30 centimeters and looked elegant. It was divided into 5 pieces using a protractor by the women, showing their determination. The pie crust was thin and crispy, and the apples had a good acidity that balanced the overall taste. It was a sophisticated apple pie and delicious. A first-grade girl commented that it tasted high-end, although she didn't really understand the meaning. Everyone seemed satisfied. Thank you, grandma, for the treat.

I stayed at the Hyatt and there is a pastry boutique in the hotel. They have macarons, chocolates, as well as desserts and bakery items! I tried the tiramisu, apple pie, and cheese & black pepper bread. The apple pie was not too sweet, which I liked ❤️ The tiramisu had a delicious sponge inside! Even though it's in the hotel, the quality is really high and the prices are surprisingly cheap. Looking forward to trying the bread!

I had some impressive soba at Gen-san in Nara, so I decided to visit this place for some cake. I can't resist sweet treats. I was aiming for a shortcake or Mont Blanc. Since it's a hotel, parking was not an issue. I parked underground, took the elevator to the front desk, then climbed the spiral staircase to reach the shop. The staff's service was excellent, and the atmosphere was stylish, being combined with an Italian restaurant. When I headed to the showcase, there were already few cake options left. I hesitated between pistachio and a simple shortcake. I chose the Strawberry Shortcake. The cream had a gentle sweetness, but the cake itself felt a bit heavy, and the strawberries were not quite in season yet. It was like a cake that falls in between a patisserie and a café. The café latte was excellent, with a perfect balance of coffee and milk. Personally, it was my type of drink. Overall, I visited without high expectations for hotel cake, and it turned out as I expected. The ambiance, vibe, and service were satisfying, but the cake was just okay.

There was some waiting time between lunch and acupuncture, so I decided to have a cup of tea here. The space is not very big, but it's a nice place to have a light tea or meet up. I wanted to order a cake set, but they were all sold out that day, so I just got a café latte. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Despite being a cafe attached to a hotel, the prices are very reasonable, with the cake set priced at 800 yen! The cookies and chocolates I bought for takeout were all delicious. There were a few regular customers like a lady who came to buy bread and a couple in their 40s enjoying their tea. The place is not crowded, making it a peaceful spot.

I came to this Hyatt hotel to buy souvenirs. I bought a pound cake for 1400 yen and a financier for 1200 yen. The financier is a collaboration product with "Hanbee Fu," a famous wheat gluten company. It is made by crushing baked wheat gluten into small pyramid shapes. The surface is nicely baked, and the inside is fluffy thanks to the wheat gluten. It seems to be made with "Kyoto white miso," giving it a very Kyoto-like taste. It's a great souvenir option, so be sure to try it!

I visited "Trattoria Seria Pastry Boutique" located on the 2nd floor of Hyatt Regency Kyoto in Higashiyama Shichijo. The restaurant is near Sanjusangendo Temple and the National Museum, attracting many tourists. The pastry shop is attached to the Italian restaurant, with a showcase of bread in the front and cakes at the back. The cakes are small but reasonably priced for a hotel. Today, I had the Tiramisu and coffee, only available for eat-in at this restaurant. I was seated at a table with a great view from the window in the fantastic atmosphere of the restaurant. The Tiramisu was served in a coffee cup, with a perfect combination of mascarpone cheese and cream. It was fluffy, creamy, not too sweet, and truly delicious. I also tried the Yuzu Chiffon Cake, which has been on sale since June. It has a lovely yuzu fragrance and a fluffy texture. It paired well with the slightly strong coffee and was delicious. I purchased this chiffon cake as a souvenir. I am very satisfied with my experience. Highly recommended.

When I entered the restaurant, I noticed that many people were buying it, so I decided to check it out on my way back! The bread that caught my eye was this delicious-looking one. This time I bought... Cranberry and Walnut Sourdough for 432 yen. The contents and taste... As soon as I opened the package, a pleasant sour aroma filled the air! The red-tinted dough resembles red wine. There are plenty of cranberries and walnuts, and the more you chew, the more flavor you can taste, with the sourness enhancing the aftertaste. Overall, I think it's a great value bread. I won't tell anyone that my jaw hurt from eating too much (laughs).

On the final day of my trip to Kyoto, I often stop by to buy cakes and bread as souvenirs for myself. The underground parking lot is spacious and easy to park in, even on rainy days, which is convenient. This time, I made a reservation in advance and purchased the seasonal limited edition "Yuzu Chello Chiffon Cake" and "Summer Fruit Jelly". The chilled "Yuzu Chello Chiffon Cake" was crispy on the outside, moist and fluffy on the inside, with a refreshing yuzu flavor that spread throughout my mouth. The aftertaste was also refreshing, making it perfect for the current hot weather. The "Summer Fruit Jelly" comes in five flavors: sake and yuzu, white peach and mint, mango and passion fruit, pineapple and ginger, and kyoho grape and red perilla. They are all packed in a stylish white box. In the summer, I always crave delicious jelly, and each flavor combination was rich and smooth, very delicious. It would also be great to crush them finely, layer them at the bottom of a glass, and pour sparkling wine on top for a nice twist. While the staff wrapped my purchase, I peeked into the showcase and saw that all the cakes looked delicious and visually appealing. I will definitely stop by again on my next trip to Kyoto. Thank you for the meal ♡

After enjoying delicious Italian food at Trattoria Sette, I couldn't resist the sight of the bright red, cute strawberries at the pastry boutique in the same space. I decided to take home a Strawberry Pie (500 yen), a Strawberry Danish (238 yen), and a Croissant (216 yen). The pie crust and Danish pastry were delicious, and the strawberries were called "Beni Hoppe." These are the famous Shizuoka's treasure strawberries that were also served at HIRAMATSU Atami's breakfast. Especially the Strawberry Pie had the perfect amount of smooth custard cream and sweetness. It was around 8 pm on a weekday, and there was only one Croissant left and two Danish pastries. I had to wait a bit for the preparation of my takeout, but it was worth it for the delicious sweets and bread. This collaboration of flavors unique to this season is a must-try. I would love to have them again.

I had some business at the hotel and decided to have some sweets to pass the time. As expected, the Italian restaurant was on the same floor. I was seated in front of the kitchen, but the view outside was covered by the dusk. It was a seat for dinner at the Italian restaurant. I believe outside the window was the National Museum across Shichijo Street. The Mont Blanc dessert had cream and chestnut cream on a base. I couldn't smell any alcohol, which made me think of Mr. Mairevi. It was unremarkable but not bad. The stollen that came with the coffee seemed like a bonus and was heavily promoted as being sold in the shop. It had a traditional flavor with orange peel. The Mont Blanc was 500 yen, the coffee was 850 yen, and with tax, the total came to 1648 yen.
