Located in a back alley north of the Fukuoka City Sawara Ward Office, on the east side of the Fuji Saki intersection, is the Chinese and Sichuan cuisine restaurant "China Da Ming Hot Pot City". Founded in 1996 by Zhu Daming, who hails from Chongqing, China, the restaurant is known for its authentic Sichuan cuisine. The menu includes a variety of dishes, with highlights such as the spicy "Sichuan Hot Pot" and the flavorful "Cock Soup". The restaurant is popular among various celebrities and food enthusiasts for its unique flavors. While the restaurant specializes in spicy dishes, there are also options for those who are not fans of spicy food. The restaurant has been serving authentic Sichuan cuisine for over 20 years, attracting long lines during lunch hours. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food make it a favorite spot for many locals. On this particular visit, the reviewer enjoyed the "Mapo Tofu Noodles" and the "Da Ming Meat Bun", both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The noodles had a perfect balance of spiciness and richness, while the meat bun was filled with a delicious sweet and savory filling. Overall, the reviewer had a great dining experience and recommends the restaurant to others.

I went for lunch. It's a Sichuan Chinese restaurant, so I chose Sichuan beef noodles. It was really spicy, but the beef was tender and delicious. I will definitely come back. Next time, I want to try other dishes too.

As the name suggests, Huoguo Cheng is seriously spicy. The Tan Tan noodles in the photo are not too spicy, but the tripe ramen is very spicy with a chili soup that may be too much for those who don't like spicy food. The taste is good. The restaurant is welcoming to families with children. Next time, I want to challenge the hot pot.

The parking lot was almost full from the store opening so I went to my reserved private room. I had the holiday lunch set with small-sized tantanmen and mapo tofu, each served with fried rice and almond jelly. The mapo tofu and tantanmen were both spicy with lots of spices and oil, but not too overwhelming. The fried chicken was also delicious!

I arrived at the restaurant just before the end of lunchtime. It's easy for one person to dine here. There were many options, but I decided to order a la carte instead of a set meal. The food was delicious, but it didn't leave a strong impression. Next time I go, I'll try a different menu item.

I went to a Chinese restaurant because it had high ratings, but I found the overall taste to be bland. I could hear loud conversations in Chinese coming from the kitchen all the way to where I was eating. There were about 7-8 Uber Eats delivery drivers who came in during my 40-minute stay, so I think it must be popular.

Fukuoka, at the Fujisaki Station, is a Chinese restaurant called "Da Ming Hot Pot City" that serves Sichuan cuisine for lunch. It's spicy but lacks a bit of heat. The spices are good. They offer three courses for the Holiday lunch. Orders are placed using a tablet on the table, so the infection prevention measures are excellent. They used to be open all year round but now they are closed on Mondays.

China's famous Hot Pot City. A few years ago, a friend took me here and I have been wanting to come back ever since. A must-visit Fukuoka gourmet spot. This place has addictive flavors. The soupless tantanmen I had last time was incredibly delicious. This time, I decided to try something new - tantanmen with wontons. The Sichuan-style spicy soup with thin noodles and chewy wontons was amazing! Surprisingly, the regular tantanmen and tantanmen with wontons are the same price. But the wonton version is worth it with its gentle flavor and delicious seafood soup. The fried rice was also excellent. I wonder what I should try next time with so many appealing menu options. I will definitely buy the tantanmen base seasoning to take home. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I will definitely come back again! 🍜❤️

I ordered a lunch set. I had some business at the ward office and after finishing the reception, I placed my order at the restaurant. Surprisingly, the waiting time at the ward office went smoothly, so I got permission from the staff to go back to the ward office temporarily. They kindly agreed. The tantanmen was not the taste I expected, being different from what I imagined, but it was spicier and more numbing. Next time, I want to try the hot pot.

China Da Ming Hot Pot City Main Store is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine. It is located in a hidden alley, giving off a secretive vibe. I arrived on a Sunday just before noon and had no trouble finding parking. I ordered the Da Ming Special Holiday Lunch for 1590 yen and the Holiday Fried Rice & Small Dan Dan Noodles Set for 1280 yen. The food arrived promptly within 10 minutes, and the noodles were thin and not too spicy, with a hint of sesame and a strong aroma of minced beef. The portion size was decent for the Small Dan Dan Noodles, which had a flavorful soup. The fried rice contained what seemed like chicken and had a slightly oily texture. The special lunch included braised white fish, as well as chicken and garlic sprout stir-fry with green chili peppers. The braised white fish had a nice tomato flavor, while the chicken stir-fry had a perfect level of spiciness from the green chili peppers. Both dishes paired well with white rice. The prices were reasonable, and considering the quality of the food, I was quite satisfied. There are still many appealing dishes on the menu that I look forward to trying in the future. They accept PayPay as payment.

The mapo eggplant for a little over 5000 yen for two people was Sichuan-style with a good balance of spiciness and numbing sensation. The spring rolls were crunchy with bean sprouts and greens, a type I haven't had much before. The dumplings and pan-fried soup dumplings were chewy and juicy, very delicious.

(2022.07.18) I have walked many times from the Nishijin shopping street near Nishijin Station, which extends nearly 2km parallel to Meiji-dori, but I have never gone all the way to the end. So today, I decided to approach it from the opposite side and take a Fukuoka bus trip to Fujisaki. There is a restaurant where you can enjoy Sichuan cuisine just a short walk from the bus terminal, so let's start by having lunch there. The entrance is a bit hard to find as it is tucked away from the main street, but at first glance, the restaurant has about 50 spacious table seats and a round table that can accommodate about 10 people, creating a relaxing atmosphere with a sense of sophistication. While the evening menu features hot pot as a signature dish, for lunch, they offer the following sets: Da Ming Special Lunch, Holiday Fried Rice & Mapo Set, and Holiday Fried Rice & Small Dan Dan Noodle Set. I was torn between choosing Mapo Tofu and Dan Dan Noodles, but since there was a large panel with a picture of Mapo Tofu inside the restaurant, I decided to go with the "Holiday Fried Rice & Mapo Set" this time. The authentic Sichuan cuisine served without any adjustments for Japanese taste buds surprised me with its flavors. When I took a bite of the Mapo Tofu, I first tasted the sweetness of the bean paste, followed by the spreading spiciness of the dish. Unlike restaurants that simply focus on extreme spiciness, this dish had a well-balanced combination of spiciness and flavor. The glossy fried rice had a refined taste from the chicken broth, and each grain of rice was firm. The finely sliced chicken had a moist texture, allowing me to savor its tenderness, and it paired perfectly with the spiciness of the Mapo Tofu. Since there are several branch locations specializing in noodle dishes, I would like to visit again to try the Dan Dan Noodles that I didn't have this time.

I saw an ad and decided to give it a try! The lunch menu consisted of fried rice and mapo tofu, with soup and almond jelly for dessert. For some reason, the balance was just right as I ate the mapo tofu and fried rice. The almond jelly was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I would like to try other menu items as well.

I really wanted to eat mapo tofu, so I searched and found this place just before the end of lunch hours. I visited the restaurant and ordered using a tablet, and since the water was self-service, there were only serving robots on the floor instead of staff. I couldn't ask if the size of the mapo tofu would be bigger if I ordered the set, so I ended up ordering the daily specials plus mapo tofu. The rice comes in a large portion for free (pictured is the large portion). The dishes I received, including the mapo tofu, were quite authentic in taste. The mapo tofu had just the right amount of spiciness and numbing sensation, which was really nice, but I couldn't help but wish there was a bit more of it to fully enjoy the flavor. That's just my personal preference though, so it may vary from person to person. The daily specials on the side had a generous amount of scallops for such a reasonably priced lunch. They complemented the spiciness and numbing sensation of the mapo tofu nicely, making the rice disappear quickly. I thought I would like to try the mapo tofu on a slightly larger plate next time.

On October 5, 2021 at 12:15, I had some business at a branch in Sawara Ward. I had a business lunch with my subordinate. We had planned to visit a famous udon restaurant nearby, but to our surprise, it was closed. So, we searched on Tabelog and found this highly rated restaurant nearby. The daily lunch set A (850 yen) arrived after 10 minutes. The set my subordinate ordered, set C, came 10 minutes later. I finished eating while my subordinate just started. The operation was not smooth. I wish they would improve the service for set menus. Interestingly, the A set for another group that arrived later was served before my subordinate's set. Is this how they usually operate? The service was so bad that I can't even remember the taste.

Located at the back of a narrow alley in front of the ward office. Parking for 3 cars in front + 4 cars in the back. Lunch is served through a ticket vending machine system. The daily specials are displayed in front of the vending machine. The restaurant has around 50 seats, including tables for 2 and 4 people. Daily Special C Set: 950 yen - Mapo Tofu + A Hot Pot Pork + B Stir-Fried Scallops + Soup/Rice/Pickles + Almond Jelly. Best 2 Set: 850 yen - Dan Dan Noodles (small) + Fried Rice (small) + Pickles + Almond Jelly. The authentic Szechuan cuisine was delicious with a spicy and flavorful taste.

Located in front of Sawara Ward Office, China Daming Hotpot Castle is highly recommended for those who enjoy spicy food. At lunchtime, you can buy a ticket from the vending machine and place your order. The tantan noodles here can be adjusted for spiciness, but even at the normal level, they are incredibly spicy. You'll find yourself sweating while eating. Delicious and spicy! is the honest feedback. In addition, the Chinese hotpot is recommended. It is a very popular dish in Sichuan. There are two types of soup available, one bright red and spicy, and the other white and mild, allowing you to enjoy both. Definitely recommended.

The restaurant is located near my workplace and has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Even before I started using Tabelog, I have been visiting it repeatedly. My go-to dishes are Sichuan fried rice, mapo tofu, and tantanmen. The mapo tofu was initially so spicy that I broke out in a sweat, but now I have completely gotten used to it. The simple taste of the non-spicy Sichuan fried rice is also good.

Today, on a holiday, we went to a local famous Sichuan cuisine restaurant with my family, while being conscious of preventing the spread of infection in the new lifestyle. It was my first visit in a long time since a very long time ago. Below is a memo of our visit. We arrived 15 minutes before the last order time and eagerly ordered the following items. (All prices exclude tax) - Mapo Tofu & Fried Rice Set: 1200 yen - New Year Special Set: 1500 yen - Ching Jao Lo Mein: 700 yen - Szechuan Fried Rice: 680 yen - Fried Sesame Balls: 390 yen (2 pieces) The dishes were served one by one about 8 minutes later. The Mapo Tofu I ordered was indeed quite spicy. I keenly felt that my tolerance for spiciness is weakening as I age. The New Year Special Set included shrimp in spicy sweet and sour sauce, beef in oyster sauce, and other dishes, which were all enjoyable. However, when we were still in the middle of eating, we were asked for the bill, which was a bit unexpected. Well, let's try not to wait until the last order time next time. Thank you for the meal.

I heard that the Mapo Tofu is delicious so I went to try it. It was spicy and delicious in Sichuan style! It's located a little off the main street in Fujisaki and was crowded. I went for lunch and ended up ordering the Mapo Tofu set meal, so I decided to try the lunch set meal next time.

I visited a Sichuan cuisine restaurant recommended by a local friend for the first time! There were many Chinese customers, including a group speaking Chinese. I ordered the Two-Tone Hot Pot with assorted meats and seafood for 1,900 yen and the vegetable version for 900 yen. The thin-colored soup is based on chicken broth with various seasonings like scallions, ginger, and tomatoes, covered in chicken oil. The red soup contains ingredients like sesame, garlic, and Sichuan peppercorns, covered in sesame oil. The staff explained that you should eat the ingredients like shabu-shabu instead of drinking the soup directly. It was my first time trying hot pot, and I was excited. The chicken-based soup was surprisingly delicious, especially with vegetables and seafood. The red soup had a strong flavor, similar to what you might imagine. Both soups were excellent, and I wanted to take some home. Note: They use a lot of oil, so those with sensitive stomachs might experience indigestion.
