Visited on Friday afternoon! There were about 5 people in line, and it only took about 10 minutes to get in! Before I knew it, a big line had formed with about 15 people! This must be a good sign! I ordered meat udon with burdock tempura, shrimp tempura, round tempura, and separate dishes of raw egg and inari sushi!! First of all, the prices were unbelievably cheap, like something from the Showa era! You can't even eat standing soba for this price nowadays! The burdock tempura was a bit underwhelming because it had been fried for a while, but the shrimp tempura was delicious and plump! The udon had a strong broth and the thick noodles were incredibly tasty! What is this! It has just the right amount of bounce and chewiness, making it irresistible! The round tempura was consistently good as well! The inari sushi was also delicious for only 100 yen! And the raw egg! You definitely should order an extra serving of this! When you mix the yolk with the incredibly tasty thick noodles, it's just indescribable! It's like entering heaven! It's so delicious that it's mind-blowing! It's delicious, super cheap, served quickly, and has the best cost performance! I don't think there is a place that is cheaper and tastier than this! I've tried various udon in Fukuoka, but this udon is definitely the best by far in my opinion! It's a must-visit restaurant! It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the meal!

After a long time, I tried the popular Oomph Udon. I went during off-peak hours and there was no crowd at all! The udon tasted just like it always has, no complaints at all. And in this day and age, the prices are unbelievably cheap! Even the meat udon was under 500 yen. Isn't this the only place left where you can get such a deal? Truly a friend to the common people.

I visited the famous restaurant Oryoku Udon in Setaka-cho after a long time. The parking lot is very spacious and the building is large. I ordered the meat udon with a raw egg topping. The udon noodles were soft and fluffy, easy on the stomach but lacked firmness. The broth was gentle and soothing. The meat was plentiful and soaking it in the broth enhanced its flavor, making it very delicious. It was also fun to mix in the raw egg halfway through. The meat udon costs 390 yen, with an additional raw egg topping for 50 yen, making it a total of 440 yen. It's an amazing restaurant that is both budget-friendly and delicious.

I arrived before 11 o'clock, but it's quite crowded. I guess it's not just because it's cheap, right? It's been a while, but I really want to eat curry udon with tempura gobo on top. But when I come here, I always end up ordering curry udon. Ah, it was delicious!

Every time I visited the area, I tried to go to this restaurant but it was either closed or had a long line, and I was turned away about 5 times. This time, I tried again since it was past 1:30 PM, and I was able to enter smoothly even though it was crowded. Yes! I was surprised when I looked at the menu - they had kake udon for 210 yen and 2 onigiri for 100 yen! The prices are like something from the Showa era. I ordered the Niku-yama kake udon with extra meat for 700 yen and also got 2 inari for 100 yen. When it was served, I was amazed by the noodles - they were soft but chewy inside. They were thick noodles, so they had a lot of chewiness. It was a unique texture. The broth was not too strong, it was just right. It was my first time there, and when I saw the diverse customer base, I realized that this restaurant really makes its customers happy. Thank you for the meal.

Around 12:30 noon, I entered the parking lot thinking it would be crowded, and sure enough, there was a long line outside the shop. However, the staff efficiently managed the customers, and I was able to get a seat without waiting. Today, I ordered the Burdock Tempura Udon for ¥340 with extra green onions. It arrived in no time as usual. The burdock tempura, which is like shredded burdock, is delicious when soaked in the soup and becomes soft, full of burdock flavor. The plump and soft thick noodles are filling. With its affordability, speed, and deliciousness, it's no wonder the number of customers keeps increasing.

Whenever I go near Chikugo City, I inexplicably feel like stopping by. This time, I ended up here again... Even though it's getting hot, I ordered the curry udon. And of course, I didn't forget the rice ball. This curry is delicious. I carefully slurp up each udon noodle so I don't burn myself, and when I finish, I add the rice ball. Then the curry udon magically transforms into curry rice. It may be a bit uncouth, but it's like getting two delicious dishes in one bowl. And all this for only 440 yen. In this day and age, that price is truly commendable. Thank you for the meal once again.

Today, despite the heavy rain, I waited in line for about 3 groups and was seated in about 5 minutes. I ordered meat udon with curry topping, shrimp tempura, and onigiri. The food arrived in about 2 minutes. As usual, it was served quickly. I put about half of the curry into the udon and ate it. Then I added the onigiri to the curry and enjoyed it.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30, just before the line started forming. I sat at the counter and ordered the Meat Curry Udon for 520 yen with extra green onions on top. The popular Curry Udon is delicious on its own, but when you mix it with the sweet and savory simmered meat and crunchy green onions, the flavor is even better. When I left the restaurant, there was already a line forming outside.

In Miyama City, located in the southern part of Fukuoka Prefecture, the restaurant opens at 10 o'clock. I revisited around 11 o'clock for the first time in 30 years. There was a short line, but I was quickly guided to a seat based on the number of available seats by the staff. If you are alone, you may be seated without waiting. I was surprised by the menu prices - a plain udon costs ¥210, and even with toppings, it's around ¥500. I ordered the udon with burdock tempura, topped with shrimp tempura and extra green onions. The food was served promptly. The shrimp tempura had a lot of batter, while the burdock tempura was like shredded tempura. The broth was light and refreshing, and the noodles were thick and soft. The tempura batter was quite filling. The curry udon was spicy - it might be too spicy for young children, but just right for adults. It was a fantastic value for the price.

I had the Dairiki Udon and Niku Udon during my first visit! They were very filling and satisfying! The meat had a good texture too! By 11:00, the place was already full! It seems to be a popular restaurant. I'm thinking of trying the Curry Udon next time.

I often tell city folks who come to the Chikugo area to eat udon. The udon in Fukuoka city and nearby areas is just not up to par, so I want them to try it here. Look! It's so cheap yet delicious~ They even serve the broth separately. The noodles are so thick and fluffy, almost like dumplings. Thank you for the meal! Oh, the dumpling soup here is so tasty~

The place is right next to the Sakata intersection on Route 209. I've known about this shop since I was young, and I must have eaten here once or twice, but I can't remember. Every time I pass by, I think about stopping by, but it's always full. Occasionally, when it seems empty, it turns out to be a day off. On this day, I had some business to take care of and realized I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch yet, so I was hungry! So, I decided to go to "Dairiki Udon" today. Despite the crowded conditions, I decided to wait in line and eat. It was around 2 p.m. on a weekday. Lunchtime was already over, but there were still many customers. I found a parking spot, so I parked my car and went inside the shop. The menu was on the table. I ordered the burdock tempura udon for 340 yen and also a plate of onigiri (2 pieces) for 100 yen. The shop had a long layout, and the staff, including the male owner, another man, and a female part-timer, were working efficiently. The dialect of the female part-timers was pleasant to listen to. The burdock tempura udon and onigiri arrived in about 2 minutes. The udon had a slightly thick black ceramic bowl with a clear light brown broth. The udon noodles were soft and smooth, with a unique texture that was slightly firm in the center. The burdock tempura was different from the usual, with a crispy exterior and a slightly soft texture. The onigiri was small and plain, but for 2 pieces at 100 yen, it was a good deal. The pickled kelp on the side was soft and lightly flavored. I added some shichimi spice and finished my meal.

I had eaten here once a while back and felt like revisiting. I ordered the large serving of udon with meat and shrimp tempura. The noodles were thick and soft, which I liked. The meat was delicious, and the shrimp tempura was not the typical small piece but seemed to have extra batter added. The shrimp itself was relatively large in size, so I thought adding extra batter was unnecessary. Overall, the broth, noodles, and ingredients were all delicious.

Today, I ordered the Niku Gobo Tempura Udon with extra green onions for ¥520. The udon arrived in just a few minutes. The portion size is great for the price, and the chewy texture of the Chikugo udon is delicious. This place offers a good combination of being fast, tasty, and affordable. I highly recommend this udon restaurant.

I had the Gobo Tempura Udon for 340 yen, added meat topping for 180 yen, and also had 2 pieces of Inari sushi for 100 yen. All prices include tax. The prices were so cheap that it brought tears to my eyes. The taste was also good. I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal. I would love to eat here again if I'm nearby.

I was able to go because they are open until 9pm! I ordered the Niku Udon for 390 yen with a Gobo Tempura topping for 130 yen. In Fukuoka, Niku Udon typically has fluffy noodles with sweet and savory beef belly, combined with a delicious clear broth. Just looking at the picture made my stomach growl! I had always wanted to visit Daikirai Udon at least once, so when I arrived and saw that they were still open, I couldn't help but strike a victory pose! The moment I took a bite, I could taste the subtle wheat flavor followed by the rich beef fat and umami from the seafood broth. The Gobo Tempura was unfortunately a bit disappointing as it was pre-fried and thinly sliced, making it quite hard. It paired well with the soup though. Dip it in and it tastes amazing! They also provide shichimi pepper for seasoning, which added a nice kick. I'm looking forward to trying their Curry Udon next time!

Today I had some business in Segawa, so I headed there in the morning. I had some errands to run, but I stopped by Oryoku Udon first to take care of my own business. Even though I arrived around 10:10 am, the place was already full! But the turnover is quick, so I got seated right away. I ordered the meat udon with shrimp tempura topping and a white rice ball. The meat was sweet and the shrimp tempura was big, so I was doubly satisfied. The taste and price are always consistent whenever I visit. I thought they had raised their prices, but they are really trying hard. Where else can you get meat udon at this price nowadays? Shrimp tempura is 180 yen and the udon is 180 yen, haha. Next time, I will challenge the "Oryoku Udon with everything (850 yen)." Thank you for the meal.

Despite it being a while since my last visit, the prices and taste were consistent as always. There was a slight price increase, but it's still cheap! Even though I visited around 3 pm, the place was packed. The noodles were soft, but not unpleasant. The soup had a strong dashi flavor, combined with the richness of the meat broth, resulting in a delicious and flavorful broth. The timing of ordering and serving was also good. The staff were attentive and there was nothing to complain about. If only this place was closer to my home... Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant around lunchtime (12:40) on a regular day. It was my first time there. The restaurant is located along the R209 highway towards Segata from Kurume, with a spacious parking lot in front. The interior of the restaurant has many table seats, and even in the early afternoon, about 80% of the seats were occupied. After being seated, I was surprised by the affordability of the menu. When I asked the staff about the most popular dish, they recommended either "meat udon" or "curry udon." However, based on information that regular customers often order "curry udon with meat," I decided to go with the regular customer's choice. Another surprise was the speed of the service (similar to Yoshinoya?). However, as someone familiar with Sanuki udon, the soft noodles didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of taste. Nevertheless, the price, portion size, and speed of service were all excellent, which explains why the restaurant is always busy.
