Although it is a casual dining place, the sashimi is of sushi restaurant quality. If you enjoy sashimi, be sure to order it. Also, be sure to try the warm sake. Warm sake, chilled sake, and vertical drinking are all enjoyable and delicious. Located in a competitive area for monjayaki, it is conveniently close to the train station.

I visited around 5 PM on a weekday. There are many delicious sake from Shimane. I ordered 5 types of sake, both hot and cold. The appetizers were delicate and delicious, which went well with the sake. I particularly liked the cold Fuso-Tsuru sake. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal. ☺︎

First visit. I had been curious about this shop for a while, so I made a reservation and entered. Inside, there was a standing bar with one long table. The menu featured 20 types of sake from Shimane and 6 types from Tottori. In addition, there were also sake from Aomori that changed daily based on the day's selection. With four people, we shared one cup of sake each to compare. After an hour, we moved on to the next monjayaki restaurant. Below are my personal notes. [Sake] - Kaishun: Very refreshing. - Iwami Ginzan: Slightly aromatic within the refreshing taste. - Oki Homare: Refreshing aroma. - Munemai: Elegant aroma. This was the best for me this time. [Appetizers] - Prosciutto Potato Salad Gorgonzola Cheese: Strong flavor. Surprisingly goes well with sake. - Spicy Bean Sprout: Tastes as expected. Also surprisingly goes well with sake. - Mambou Intestine with Green Onion Salt Dressing: Mambou intestine mixed with green onion, salt, and sesame oil. The intestine is similar in texture to slightly firm chicken breast. The taste and smell are not overpowering. - Peanut Cream Salad Style

After eating monjayaki in Tsukishima, I wanted to have a few more drinks so I came here. I heard it was a standing bar, but was surprised to find that it was very stylish! This place mainly serves sake from Shimane and Tottori, but they also have a variety of beers, highballs, and shochu, so even those who can't drink sake can enjoy. This time, it was a hot day so I wanted something refreshing to drink, and when I asked the staff for recommendations, they suggested "Izumo Fuji Junmai Ginjo Extra Dry" and "Iketuki Junmai Fully Fermented Extra Dry". They were both delicious and refreshing. The Japanese sake sherbet lemon sour was a taste that I got hooked on. As for snacks, I ordered the "Adult Tamago Tofu", which is a specialty here. Tamago tofu... is this what it is?! It was completely different from what I had imagined and I got really excited! It had tobiko, ikura, sea urchin, and egg yolk. There's no way this wouldn't be delicious. If you come here, you must try this exquisite dish.

I had made a reservation at a yakiniku restaurant, but I had some time to spare before my reservation time, so I stopped by a standing bar for a little while. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. I noticed a bottle with "Death" written on it, so I tried the Japanese sake called "Shinigami." It had a scent similar to Shaoxing wine, which made me wonder if it was really Japanese sake. The lack of typical Japanese sake taste might surprise you at first sip.

It's the same as before but to say it again... Monja Street in Tsukishima has a standing bar that promotes Shimane's local sake at the entrance. Although there are more and more standing bars in Tsukishima, this place has really elevated the value of "standing and drinking in Tsukishima." It was also featured nicely in the latest issue of "Food and Pleasure." If you love sake, this is one of the top recommended standing bars in Tsukishima. The specialty adult egg tofu was a first for me, and if you're not concerned about uric acid levels, you can enjoy sipping on it even just one plate. The firefly squid was delicious as well, but the pickled vegetables were incredibly tasty, and I ended up ordering them again on another day. I want to order them again next time, but they may not be a standard menu item. We got so caught up with our companions that we only took two photos.

I wandered into a street full of izakayas and ended up at this place after not being able to get into the one I was originally looking for. It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers, and everyone was friendly and chatty. The atmosphere was great. The selection of sake was unique and might not be to everyone's taste. I think I might have made a mistake in the order of dishes I chose this time. Both the sake and the food were undeniably delicious. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I finally visited this place that I had been curious about, but it was always full and I couldn't get in. We managed to secure a spot at the long table in the back, sharing it with others. I couldn't tell the exact number of staff because of the crowded seating arrangement. We squeezed in towards the middle and started with Tottori and Shimane sake, which they specialize in. It was great to be able to try different types in both glass and one-cup sizes. We snacked on sake-steamed cheese and oden while slowly sipping. The regular customers were friendly and we chatted while enjoying our drinks. The food portions were small but well-prepared and delicious. The kitchen space seemed limited, but the quality was impressive. The oden was flavorful and the vegetable tempura was almost gone, so they cleverly suggested adding half a block of thick deep-fried tofu to the mix. At the end, we poured the oden broth mixed with sake. It was a moment of bliss. Although I didn't find a standout sake this time, I will definitely try again. Oh, the "Death" sake had a completely unique taste profile that was intriguing. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

In Tsukishima, I tried ladder sake. There are many deep shops in the back alleys, but this time I went to this stylish place. When I arrived at the storefront... huh!? A standing bar? That's what it looked like. Upon entering the shop, I was told to sit wherever I liked. Starting with the drink I wanted, I ordered a single serving of "Shinigami". The decanter looked stylish, and they also provided chaser water. Cheers~! Wow!! It had a taste similar to Shaoxing wine. Hmm!? I feel like I've had this somewhere before... For snacks... - Tsubugai with wasabi This is incredibly delicious♡♡♡ The crunchy texture with wasabi is amazing! I enjoyed nibbling on it while having sake. - Specialty sake lees oden I chose daikon radish and shirataki. Actually, I'm not a fan of sake lees, but there was no unpleasant taste at all. It was delicious instead♡♡♡ The daikon was soft and flavorful. Next, I asked for a recommendation for a dry sake and was suggested "Ikezuki", which I ordered a single serving of. It's super dry but easy to drink. It might not be satisfying for those who like the typical sake taste. I enjoyed the new flavor as I haven't tried it before♪ Overall... The atmosphere inside the shop is nice. The female staff is very friendly and easy to talk to. They have small sizes of sake, so it's a good idea to enjoy various types. I'm curious about the different snacks they offer. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday night. Even though it was a little before 5 pm, it was already crowded, but I was finally able to bring my child along. They provided juice for the kids, so my child could also enjoy the visit. The dishes such as mushroom, shirako ponzu, and chrysanthemum salad were very delicious, and you can compare and enjoy various types of Japanese sake. (Even though I'm not a big fan of shirako, I was able to enjoy it here...! Maybe it's because of the freshness?) I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

On July 5, 2022, I visited a second restaurant with the intention of sitting down and having a drink. However, the entire area around the restaurant was covered in construction fences. I saw a closed sign on another restaurant indicating that it had been closed for redevelopment around April. It felt like I was seeing a different side of Tsukishima, with a new wave of changes. I decided to focus on the restaurant in front of me. I entered at 7:00 PM, with six other customers already inside. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance, no temperature checks, and the ventilation inside the restaurant seemed limited as the doors were not open. There were partitions at the counter, but it was unclear how the seating arrangement differed from normal. I was seated between a group of two and a group of four. Since it was a standing sake bar, I ordered Izumo Fuji sake for 600 yen and squid sashimi for 800 yen. The squid sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the sake had a crisp taste with a refreshing aftertaste. However, I didn't quite feel comfortable with the atmosphere between the regular customers and the staff, so I decided to leave after just one drink. Overall, I was satisfied and full. Thank you for the meal.

I stumbled upon a restaurant with a good atmosphere and decided to have a light drink before my friend arrived. It's a standing bar, but the interior is clean and stylish with an open feel, making it easy to enter. I wasn't in the mood for beer, so I ordered a lemon sour, which turned out to be a unique drink with sake as the base and salt on the rim of the glass. The sashimi platter I chose was fresh and sweet, pairing perfectly with the drink. Standing and enjoying the pleasant breeze while leisurely sipping on alcohol and savoring the fish is the perfect way to start a relaxing holiday. When you think of Tsukishima, you probably imagine "monjayaki," but there are surprisingly many delicious izakayas and yakiniku restaurants to discover. I happened to find this place, but it seems like it will become a favorite spot to visit in the future.

Today, I made a rare second stop at my favorite place, Tsunematsu in Tsukishima. This standing bar serves delicious San'in sake and snacks, and it's my wife's favorite. Even though it's our second stop, we started with refreshing green tea highball and highball for our first drinks. The chicken skin oden is tempting, but we opted for saba sashimi and seared seaweed on a wooden board from the second drink onwards to pair with the sake. Despite being cautious about gout, we couldn't resist the mature egg tofu on the hot plate. My wife's favorite, saba no shiokara, wasn't on the menu today, but we still enjoyed two servings of sake (4 in total from the first stop) before calling it a night.

We have a wide selection of sake from Shimane to promote the local flavors in Tokyo. The owner's family originally ran a sake shop in Shimane, so there's a warm story behind it. The unique standing bar setup with a large table in the middle is quite unusual. Let's start with some sake! And don't miss the specialty adult egg tofu - it's delightfully soft. The taste is beyond imagination. You'll understand when you grow up, right? And in this season, there's oden! Their oden is cooked with sake lees broth, perfect for those who love kasujiru. Next, let's go for some meat dishes! The food pairs well with sake, making it a place where you might end up drinking too much.

I revisited after 5 years. This is a standing bar specializing in sake from Tottori and Shimane. The first visit was on their 1st anniversary, and I got really drunk on the free sake they offered. The food was great, and in the past, they even cooked bracken and mountain vegetables that I brought in. The owner was off that day, but the manager remembered me and we had a great time. We had a spring chrysanthemum salad, prosciutto and potato salad, simmered chicken skin, and sea bream fin with sake lees. We also had two glasses of sake, shochu highball, and two glasses of shochu with hot water. Here are my thoughts on the dishes: The salad was good, the prosciutto and potato salad was interesting with a caviar-like topping, the simmered chicken skin was the last one left because it's so popular, and the sea bream fin with sake lees was elegant with a yuzu miso sauce. They also mentioned a saltier mackerel version, so I'll have to try that next time.

This shop also refrained from business during the pandemic, so it was a long-awaited revisit. It is located near Monja Street, close to Tsukishima Station. Despite being a standing bar, they offer high-quality dishes. They have a wide selection of sake, with many from Shimane Prefecture. On this day, I ordered sake from Niigata and Fukushima Aizu, served chilled. From sashimi to various dishes, they have a delicious variety of options. It's a convenient place for a quick drink. Thank you for the meal!

Around 8:30 PM on Saturday, we casually decided to have a second round at this recommended spot in Chuo Ward for older gentlemen! We were lucky to get in right away, but as time passed, the place got more and more crowded, and by the time we left, it was packed! We ordered: - Beef tartare - Assorted oden (3 types) - Snowman dish from Senkin - Nankunba Yamahai Junmai Ginjo - Uzu Junmai Ginjo Saka Nishiki 60% Fire Finish - Somemi Saka Nishiki Junmai Ginjo Sake Drinking while standing at a sake bar was a bit tough when we got tipsy, but it was so much fun! The staff were all very nice, and the other customers were friendly, so we had a great time getting drunk (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ As of November 2021, the restaurant has a rating of 3.56 on Tabelog!

I had been curious about this place in the neighborhood for a while. It's so close that it's hard to invite friends over. I feel like I might turn into the type of guy who brings people home to a creepy place. But since it's a standing bar, I thought I could go alone. So I decided to visit for the first time. There was a woman sitting alone among the other customers. Suddenly, I felt a sense of relief. And the staff serving us was also a woman. Maybe she's the wife of the owner. Wow, I could totally go alone. But as I started drinking, I realized something. There were so many options, but it's hard to try many when you're alone. I had three drinks that day, and I was feeling good as I walked back home along Monja Street. The appetizers were perfect, and I wanted to eat more, but I got drunk quickly. The food was so delicious that I couldn't stop. I made sure to order the adult egg tofu. A festival of high cholesterol. Who can resist this??? This is the type of place I want to keep coming back to.

It's been 1 year and 4 months since my last visit to this place. After exchanging greetings, I started with a chaser beer, cheers! I also ordered a snack set and tried the recommended "Silk no Mine". The set included a piece of raw squid and grilled barracuda, both enjoyable. The small dishes had just the right amount of salt, perfect for accompanying drinks. I added some mochi rice cakes to my order. The "Stone Face" sake, perfect for spring, had an exquisite balance that paired well with the food. Everything I ate and drank was delicious! I confirmed once again the deliciousness and comfort of this place after a long time since my last visit!
