I visited the popular yakitori restaurant Hachibei. They have branches located throughout Fukuoka city. It is a popular restaurant, so I tried to make a reservation and managed to secure a seat by calling two days in advance. Based on my experience, I believe it is difficult to make reservations for the day before or the same day. The restaurant has a stylish interior space for a yakitori restaurant, with jazz music playing in the background. It seems to target not only those looking for yakitori but also female customers. The atmosphere is beautiful and moody, making it a popular spot for couples as well. The signature dish, Kurokawa, is made by grilling the skin of the neck, resulting in a moist and flavorful texture. The classic dishes like tsukune and pork belly have a satisfying weight and juiciness, with perfect seasoning. I also tried the chicken liver, soft cartilage skewers, and Wagyu sukiyaki skewers, all of which were of high quality. The recommended grilled eel skewer lacked the smoky flavor and had a slightly dry texture, but the bone added a unique texture. The deep-fried edamame skewer, another specialty, was good but not outstanding. Overall, I think the restaurant excels in balancing taste and ambiance, as they have expanded overseas to offer Hakata-style yakitori. With a variety of recommended dishes, it is a place worth revisiting, including their other branches.

I stormed into Fukuoka. It was late at night and I didn't have a reservation, but I was seated right away. The staff were all very friendly and energetic. The food was relatively reasonable and I think it's a good place to relax. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) were the best. The visuals were also good. I fell in love with the tofu and avocado salad because the seaweed paired so well. The skewers were delicious too. The head chef is very handsome, so be sure to check him out. If I get a girlfriend, I would definitely want to visit again on a trip to Fukuoka. ^_^

By the time we got here, we had already had a bit of beer somewhere else. But still, draft beer is delicious! This place also seems to be quite popular. When we visited, it was almost full, and we were lucky to find seats. The grilled dishes were decently tasty, but the sesame marinated mackerel was especially delicious. Just with this, rice and beer go well together. Instead of rice, we ordered toast. They spread cheese on it, and it was also really good! It was a great night in Hakata.

A friend recommended this restaurant, and six of us visited. The atmosphere was lively with many families and groups. We were served cabbage with a refreshing and tangy sauce as a starter, which we thought was delicious. The grilled chicken skewers were continuously brought to our table. We enjoyed the recommended bonjiri (chicken tail) and chicken skin. The cartilage had a different shape compared to Kanto-style skewers, making the bones less visible. The sesame yellowtail and corn tempura were also delicious. The chicken rice porridge was similar to a soup dish and very tasty. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I was surprised to find out that the casually entered shop was actually a popular one. The atmosphere inside was lively, and everything I tried was delicious. The pork belly was cooked perfectly with a good amount of volume and exquisite seasoning. Side dishes like cheese tofu and sesame pudding were also great. This is definitely a yakitori restaurant that you should check out. I will be back again for sure.

In the midst of such intense heat that even taking a breath is difficult, that first beer is just so delicious... Beer and grilled chicken skewers are the best! The popular edamame skewers, although much smaller than before, are still delicious! The cheese tofu was also really tasty. It was a shame that we had to leave within 2 hours.

On this trip, we visited my partner's parents' house and our family grave. My partner stayed at their parents' house while I stayed at a hotel. My younger brother and his wife, who were supposed to come in a camper van, had to cancel due to their dog's illness. It has been a busy time with contacting those who have passed away or are battling illness during the pandemic. Today, we visited the house of a cousin who passed away and shared memories. We didn't make any reservations and just decided to visit. We called yesterday around 4 pm and were able to visit at 5 pm today. Luckily, we were seated at a table by the counter. We started with beer and oolong tea, and were served complimentary "endless cabbage" as an appetizer. We ordered based on my partner's choice, and it included the following dishes:
- Endless Cabbage: A popular dish from Hakata.
- Sesame Amberjack: A dish I ordered, with a delicious sesame sauce.
- Pork Belly: A Hakata classic with juicy and flavorful meat.
- Asparagus Wrapped in Meat: Jumbo-sized asparagus wrapped in meat.
- Chicken Thigh: Juicy and flavorful chicken thigh.
- Sweet Long Green Pepper: My order, fried or grilled.
- Wagyu Sukiyaki Skewer: A unique dish with grilled wagyu beef and grilled leeks.
- Black Skin: A unique dish with blackened skin.
- Chicken Liver: A dish I shared with my partner.
- Service Fried Yam: A crispy and delightful surprise.
- Cheese Tofu: The favorite dish of the day, a creamy and soft cheese tofu wrapped in bread.
Afterward, I took my partner to Tenjin Station and said goodbye. I took a taxi to Nakasu at night. I'm getting old, so I just went back to the hotel and rested.

This was the first memorable store in Tenjin! We said let's go light because we're going to a food stall, but everything was so delicious that we ended up eating a lot haha. The crispy bell peppers were something I wanted to try after seeing them on TV, and they were really good. The sesame marinated amberjack was also delicious. That sesame sauce though. I want to go back again when I come to Hakata!

I ordered the 'Kyushu-raised chicken and egg rice bowl' for lunch, priced at 1529 yen. The egg was incredibly rich and flavorful, even more so than the chicken. It's not often you find that. It was really delicious. Thank you very much.

After watching the Bananaman's "Sekkaku Gourmet" show, I was determined to visit this restaurant in Fukuoka during my upcoming trip. I made a reservation a week in advance, but only late evening slots after 8:30 p.m. were available. The location was convenient, close to my hotel and the bustling downtown area of Tenjin. I ordered pork belly, shiso-wrapped pork, chicken tail, and chicken gizzard skewers. The pork belly was truly amazing, even for someone like me who usually doesn't like fatty meats. The recommended dishes like sesame amberjack, pickled celery, and grilled yam were all delicious. Each bite was a delight, and my friends and I were impressed with every dish we tried. The complimentary edamame, vinegar tripe, and cabbage (with free refills) were also fantastic. The tempura brought as a service was tasty as well. This restaurant offers a quality of food that even popular Tokyo eateries can't match, with great value for money. The atmosphere and service were excellent, with attentive staff promptly clearing empty plates and serving orders quickly. It's definitely a must-visit spot in Hakata, and I will make sure to return if I ever visit Fukuoka again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I made a reservation and ate at the counter. The kitchen staff and other employees were always busy and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. Some skewers were sold out since I arrived at 7:30, but everything I ordered was delicious. They also had cheese and other great side dishes, so I enjoyed some tasty drinks after enjoying the skewers.

I think it can be said that Yaebei is a representative yakitori restaurant in Fukuoka. You can even drink from lunchtime. Compared to other restaurants, this place seems to emphasize the drinking aspect. The entrance curtain is cute. The taste is okay. They have popular menu items that everyone likes, and I think they have a sense of creativity in their menu.

I made a reservation after finding out it was full when I came the day before. The counter surrounds the kitchen. I ordered a draft beer, pork belly, chicken liver, and sesame marinated mackerel (no mackerel available). The skewers being grilled in front of me looked so delicious. The pork belly was crispy and juicy, very delicious. The sesame marinated mackerel was tasty but a thinner cut would have been easier to eat. The sesame sauce was amazing. The ham cutlet was recommended by my son and it was delicious and juicy. The mashed edamame, a specialty, was interesting. The bone-in chicken was spicy and the fat was perfect for dipping rice in. The meatball was a must-try and it was delicious. Overall, a great meal. By the time we left, no one from the time we entered had left. Definitely need to make a reservation to get in. Great restaurant.

Visited the popular Yakitori Yaebei. The interior of the restaurant is smoke-free and comfortable. The pork belly, tsukune, skin, seseri, liver, cartilage, etc., were all delicious. The sweet potato shochu on the rocks was generously poured, and they even served pineapple for dessert at the end. Wonderful. Thank you for the meal!

Long time no see, Yaebei. The liver and edamame are delicious. And I love the reliable sesame mackerel. This place has good cost performance, so I recommend it. #NakasuGourmet #FukuokaGourmet #BusinessTripGourmet #Yaebei #Yakitori #DeliciousRestaurant

The president and head chef went to Ho Chi Minh, leaving the manager of the Tenjin store on a day off. The second-in-command was working hard to manage the restaurant. Most of the customers were young, with many couples. Even though I was dining alone, I felt comfortable with the service. I ordered the restaurant's signature pork belly, chicken liver, and black skin skewers, along with a lemon sour and chilled tomato and horse sashimi to start. Each skewer was served individually, which was thoughtful. As a surprise, they brought out the famous edamame skewers, and at the end, a complimentary baked Baumkuchen. The complimentary skewers varied for each customer. Everything was delicious, but the highlight was the Wagyu beef sukiyaki skewer, which originated from Hachibe. The pork belly, chicken liver, and horse sashimi also left a lasting impression. I don't get to visit Fukuoka often, but knowing that there is a branch of Wasyoku Goson in Shimokitazawa makes me feel fortunate.

I came across Hachibei-san while looking for a delicious restaurant to visit. It was my first time going there, but everything I tried was delicious. The customer service was also good. The only downside was that the counter was a bit narrow, with limited space between seats. I wish they had a branch in Kansai. I will definitely go back.

I happened to pass by and decided to check out this place I had seen before. The food was delicious as expected since it had high ratings, but as a lover of alcohol, it was a big disappointment that they didn't have any bottles of shochu, especially in Fukuoka where it's quite common. However, each dish was pretty tasty. I don't usually come here, but it's clean and popular, so it's good for welcoming visitors on a trip.
