Number of visits: Many times. I have been visiting the popular French restaurant "Georges Marceau" in Ohori for a long time since its opening, which is almost 12 years ago now. It's great to see that the chef and manager are still the same. "Defi" means "challenge" in French. You can enjoy dishes that blend French cuisine with other countries. The lunch course is mentioned on the website as being for 2 people, but I was able to make a reservation for 1 person on the booking site. I made a reservation 5 days in advance because I wanted to have a delicious meal after visiting the dentist. They seated me by the window even though I was dining alone. - Fresh blueberry vinegar juice (900 yen excluding tax): Made from blueberries grown in the chef's family garden. The refreshing combination of blueberries and carbonation is perfect for a hot day. - Amuse-bouche: Consomme royale. It pairs well with the seafood flan, especially with salmon roe. - Peach soup: It was a pleasant surprise to be able to enjoy this seasonal dish. - The lattice design is lovely, and the wooden cutlery adds to the atmosphere. - Seasonal seafood, homegrown onions, lobster consomme jelly: A visually stunning dish with delicious flavors. - Saga beef "Kurashita" (known as "zabuton" in Kanto) with plenty of grilled vegetables, rice flour and squid ink tuile, mustard sauce: The beef was tender and the mustard sauce complemented it well. - Turban shell, mushrooms, Mimolette cheese pasta with turban shell liver sauce: The liver sauce was excellent, and the different textures of the ingredients made the pasta delicious. - Coconut mousse, pineapple ice cream: A delightful dessert with blood orange sherbet and diced pineapple. - Coffee-flavored pudding with maple syrup: Smooth and delicious pudding with a good coffee flavor. Overall, the combination of ingredients was unique and exciting. The quality of the food was even better than my previous visit. The lunch was reasonably priced compared to other French restaurants. The manager's service was pleasant, and the chef's consideration for my dislikes was appreciated. I couldn't finish the curry from "Nanatsu Hoshi in Kyushu" because I was already full, but I will definitely visit again.

Reward lunch. I had a meal with my elementary school mentor and classmates. Each dish was like opening a treasure chest, wondering what would come out. I got full before having the curry. You can choose the amount of curry. The herbal tea from the chef's garden was also delicious.

The portions were generous, and I left feeling satisfied. The fresh blueberry vinegar we had for a toast was also delicious. They took a commemorative photo during dessert and gave it to us when we left, making it perfect for creating memories on special occasions or anniversaries. Thank you for the wonderful meal! 🌟

The HP stated a minimum of 2 people, but when I inquired, they said 1 person was also possible. I added beef cheek meat for 1100 yen, foie gras for 1320 yen, and curry for 880 yen. The curry comes in a normal size, but a half size is also available. I heard it was the size of a rice bowl, but it's actually quite a lot, so I recommend getting the half size. The sauce is rich and hearty, and it goes well with drinks. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. For the first drink, I had the recommended blueberry vinegar + carbonated drink. It was delicious with a mild sweetness. All the dishes were tasty with delicious vegetables, and the fish and meat were top-notch. For the main course, I chose the beef cheek red wine stew for an additional 1000 yen. It was very filling and satisfying. The cake we ordered for the celebration was delicate and beautiful, and we took it home with us.

I have visited Bistro En and the main branch of Georges Marso in the past, but this was my first visit to Defi Georges Marso. The chef has been there since the Bistro En days and remembered me. I splurged on the lunch set, which cost around 9000 yen. The amuse-bouche included red pepper mousse, tomato puree, and green pea mousse, which were classic dishes from the Bistro En era. The flavors were rich and sweet. The fish and onion mousse terrine with salad in sherry vinegar jelly was a delightful mix of flavors. The cuttlefish carpaccio with sweet corn was excellent. The red sea bream beignet with green asparagus sauce was perfectly cooked. The crab sauce with red sea bream was rich and flavorful. The palate cleanser was a refreshing granite. For the main course, I chose the Australian lamb roast, which was tender and flavorful with a classic lamb jus sauce. The wagyu beef curry was a rich and hearty dish. The dessert of dekopon, honey ice cream, and lemon espuma was light and refreshing. Overall, the fusion of modern and classic elements in the cuisine made it very approachable. The full course lunch at around 9000 yen was a bit heavy with rich sauces, so I would like to revisit for dinner (when I can have wine) and try a lighter meal. Seeing others enjoy the exquisite red sea bream dish made me realize the quality of the ingredients and made me want to try that next time.

I visited for the first time as it is a sister restaurant of my favorite Georges Marceau ☆ The prices felt more reasonable than Georges Marceau. The high-class and tense atmosphere is less than Georges Marceau, giving the impression of a casual dining place. This time, I chose Menu B and added Suzuki's Poêlé for an additional 500 yen for the main dish, and added Georges Marceau's special curry (half size) for an additional 400 yen. I was undecided on which main dish to choose, but the staff recommended "Suzuki is recommended today," making it easy to decide. The Menu B course I had that day is as follows: ● Today's Amuse Green pea soup - served with milk foam - The flavor of green peas was firmly retained, not thin like soup but rather thick. Eating it together with milk foam makes it mellow and easier to eat. ● Appetizer Seasonal seafood "Suzuki" with mountain vegetables and spring vegetables salad The overall taste is gentle, and the Suzuki is moist. The consommé jelly with just the right amount of salt, the onion espuma with a hint of sweetness, and the spring vegetables dressed with olive oil all matched well, making it quite delicious. I was happy to find fuki, which conveys the feeling of spring. ● Bread The bread is quite salty, but it's crispy and irresistible. ● Main Course Karatsu live-caught Suzuki Poêlé with burnt butter sauce The Suzuki was cooked plump and goes well with the burnt butter sauce. Used for dinner. The space is small but cozy with a good distance between tables. The menu includes great value options starting from 5800 yen. There is a wide selection of drinks, but the wine selection is especially extensive. Started with a glass of champagne for a toast, then switched to a bottle of wine to pair with the food. The menu features delicious dishes made with local ingredients from Kyushu. The Kyushu curry served mid-meal is the premium curry from Nanatsu no Hoshi. In addition to the desserts on the menu, there is also pudding available. Finished the meal with coffee. Overall, very satisfied!

This place is located at the edge of Nishi Nakasu. From the window, you can see the VIP guest house and river cruises, making it very stylish. The dishes are all of a high standard. The consomme-style lobster with omal shrimp is amazing - the lobster has a firm and rare texture that is irresistible! The consomme itself is rich and flavorful, with plenty of omal shrimp broth. It's a dish that seafood lovers will adore. The combination of monkfish liver and potato espuma is exquisite. The monkfish liver has zero odor and is creamy...! Paired with the potato espuma, it becomes even smoother...! The mouth is filled with a creamy, velvety texture. The baked fish parcel for the main course is also interesting, as the filling is rare, allowing for a variety of textures. The sauce with crab is also rich...it's so unfair. The meat is venison, a perfect choice for winter. It was served quite rare, which is a feat that can only be achieved with fresh meat...amazing. There is almost no odor, and the strong red meat flavor pairs well with foie gras, creating a rich and unique taste. Just when I was getting full, they brought out curry. What...?! French curry for the first time...! But everyone loves curry, right?! It's interesting...! When you taste it, the sweetness of the vegetables and beef is quickly followed by the spiciness of the spices, which is surprising. It's quite spicy. This is the challenging part, I guess. But everyone loves the three delicacies, meat, fish, and curry, right? It satisfies all of them. Wonderful!! They even took a photo for us as a service during dessert. It's nice to have these little touches of service. The strawberry Vacherin dessert was delicious, with a texture that was like a twist on a strawberry shortcake. Today is my birthday, so my husband and I went out to celebrate. We started with a toast with a Champagne with my name on the label. The amuse-bouche was marinated whitebait with a hint of yuzu aroma, rich in flavor. We enjoyed a Rhone Grenache Blanc with some bitterness and mineral notes. The consommé jelly with lobster was delicious, and we savored seasonal seafood like prawns, caviar, amberjack, and clams. We also tried the Beaujolais Nouveau, which was light and slightly astringent. The pan-fried flounder with crab sauce was exceptional. A green lemon granita served as a palate cleanser before the grilled wild boar from Itoshima, which was tender and flavorful. The Bordeaux Margaux wine paired perfectly with the main course. The meal ended with a special curry and a sherry with raisin aroma. The curry was delicious with a touch of black pepper. For dessert, we had pear and vanilla foam with ice cream, and a chestnut blancmange with Sauternes wine. We finished off with coffee and pastries. Overall, the meal had a slight Japanese influence but was predominantly classic French with rich buttery flavors. The wine selection was interesting, and we look forward to dining here again.

Everything was delicious♡ If I had to pick one...the corn espuma with conger eel, salmon roe, and shrimp was amazing with the sweetness and richness of the corn. The beef cheek was so tender, no knife needed. The curry was a pleasant surprise. The beef tendon was flavorful and spicy but not overwhelming. And the surprise of the airy sweet potato dish...totally unexpected and delicious! The chips with toppings were also great♡

I ordered the evening course and recommended wine. The restaurant was stylish and very clean. The service was polite, but I wish there was more information about the wine, like the brand and explanation. It was mid-November and the nights were cold, so it was surprising that two cold dishes followed and there was no soup. The cold chawanmushi didn't feel fresh with the season mismatch. The third dish was not the swordfish beignet as listed on the menu, but rather fried shirako. It didn't have much truffle aroma, but it was delicious with the crispy outside and creamy inside. The next fish dish with shrimp sauce was harmonious and incredibly delicious. The Miyazaki beef roast was flavorful and tasty, but the red wine sauce was a bit overpowering. My friend had the roasted lamb, which they enjoyed. The curry at the end was initially bitter, then sweet, with a heavy European curry flavor, and finally... extremely spicy. It was so spicy that it was hard to enjoy. The dessert and herbal tea were delicious, but my taste buds were numb from the spiciness. The course had a mix of dishes that were either loved or disliked, but personally, the fried shirako and pan-fried fish were outstandingly delicious. It was a unique experience. If we could choose the spiciness level for the curry, it might be better. We had a private room this time, but I would like to experience the restaurant's atmosphere next time. I hope the harmony of the course will be better on our next visit. Thank you for the meal.

The warm wooden atmosphere, from the decor to the plates, creates a gentle ambiance. You can feel that everything, from the aroma of the dishes to the delicate flavors, has been carefully crafted. I was truly impressed by the chef's high sense of aesthetics and their playful and exploratory approach to cooking. While there are many delicious restaurants out there, it's not often you come across a place that truly delights you with its food. I was happy to have found this place and enjoyed the delightful dishes. Grateful.

Located behind the prestigious guest house in Nishinakasu. There is a stock shop and a boat pier nearby. It's been a while since I had lunch with Mairebi-sama ヽ(´▽`)/ The restaurant is on the second floor of a building, with a view of the river and park from the window. There are several lunch options, but we chose Course B. ◯ Spicy Ginger Ale, 600 yen Mairebi-sama had beer♪ Cheers to each other's health! ◯ Menu B, 2970 yen Amuse-bouche - Tachiarai corn mousse The corn is sweet and delicious. A nice combination of crunchy and smooth texture. Appetizer - Fukuoka peach cold soup When the staff removed the lid, dry ice smoke billowed out. Then, a soup full of peaches appeared. A cool and lovely presentation. This peach cold soup is the best I've had. Main - French roast beef You can choose lamb or Wagyu beef as well. The restaurant kindly served us roast beef that is not on the regular menu. It comes with grilled vegetables, herb butter sauce, and mashed potatoes. The beef is tender and delicious. Bread - We could have seconds. It was nice that the types of bread were different the first and second time. The brioche the second time was delicious. Pasta - Chiba sardine peperoncino The sardine is plump and easy to eat, bones and all. The spiciness and garlic were just right. Curry - We ordered an additional curry, which is served at Nanatsuboshi. It's a European-style curry with tender meat. Not too spicy, not too sweet, and rich. The pickles were unexpectedly delicious. We asked for one serving of curry to share between two people. It was a good decision...I don't think I could have finished a whole serving by myself ^^; Dessert - Lychee espuma with fruit & ice cream Elaborate and delicious. Various textures can be felt. It looks lovely too. After-dinner drink and small sweets We had herbal tea. It's a refreshing lemongrass and mint tea. The mini pudding was a nice finish. I'm full and satisfied. It was a delightful time chatting with Mairebi-sama. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I chose the course menu for 4070 yen, which included both meat and fish. I also requested an additional charge for pork. Cost performance is the best. It was incredibly delicious. Giorgio Marso is authentic French cuisine, while here at Defi, they challenge with French, creating a sense of originality. The second course costs 2700 yen per person and includes: Jerusalem artichoke soup, salad, Spanish mackerel, mentaiko pasta, curry (+800 yen), dessert, and coffee. The Spanish mackerel was especially delicious. It might have been the best French dish I've ever had. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. As for the curry, I had high expectations based on reviews, but it somehow tasted familiar. I suddenly remembered having eaten JR Kyushu's Nanatsuboshi curry from a retort pouch and it tasted exactly the same. It's amazing how well retort curry can replicate the taste. The curry had a complex flavor, but lacked richness. Personally, I prefer curries with a smooth richness and this one didn't quite meet my preference. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely come back.

It's just like Georges Marceau. The taste is tailored to Japanese people and not too strong. I'm not used to eating French cuisine, but overall, the flavors were satisfying. The curry at the end was very delicious, but it really fills you up, so I would like to visit this restaurant again.
