We started with a sashimi platter of 5 kinds. The thick slices of sashimi were fatty and delicious. We enjoyed Japanese sake with our meal. The Akabu was a bit pricey, especially after visiting Kurume where everything seemed expensive. The food was good, but it felt more like a fish restaurant. Kurume was impressive. The Kumachan highball had an orange flavor. We finished by enjoying the food to the fullest. Next to us, there was a mama and her customer. The pond water shimmered mysteriously under the light.

The service was excellent and we were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. They offer a wide variety of dishes including sushi, yakitori, fish, and hot pot. We had sashimi platter, sesame mackerel, skewers platter, and motsu nabe. The sashimi platter included Thai, striped jack, tuna, and amberjack sashimi with two types of soy sauce - regular and oyster-flavored light soy sauce.

They also offer dishes like grilled seafood and motsunabe. The drink option of all-you-can-drink is a good deal, even if you don't opt for a course. The oysters were a bit disappointing on this day, but overall the food was delicious. I definitely want to visit again. The legendary sea bream with sesame was incredibly tasty. I got the half portion and it was just the right amount. I will definitely order the sea bream with sesame again next time! The skewers were also fresh and tasty. I was too full to order sushi this time, so I'll make sure to try it next time. *Atmosphere: The restaurant is located across the street from Hakata Minami Post Office. It's an izakaya, but it attracts a diverse range of customers, including families due to its location. The interior is quite spacious with counter seating, tatami seating, counter seating with a view of the pond, and private rooms.

It's been a while since I last visited this legendary restaurant where my friend and I once spent 24,000 yen together (laughs). This time, we opted for the all-you-can-drink course and sat at the counter overlooking the river, listening to jazz. We started with some sashimi, which was sliced thick and had just the right amount of fat. The beef tongue was sautéed and served on top of daikon radish. Before the motsunabe (offal hot pot), we were served a fish stew with oysters and clams dancing in the broth. The broth was so good that we couldn't resist slurping it up. Along with the motsunabe, we had ramen. For dessert, we enjoyed a delicious nutty ice cream. The service from the waitress was natural and flawless. It was a generous spread of food for the price, and even my picky friend praised it. I felt pretty proud to have introduced them to such a great restaurant. I highly recommend it for a night out in Zashiki Warashi.

Honestly, I didn't have high expectations for this restaurant. The menu was limited, but they had a good selection of drinks to go with the food. Everything we tried was delicious. Unfortunately, items like oysters and yellowtail were often sold out, and even the amberjack ran out halfway through. Despite that, it was a really nice place.

I can't believe there's such a stylish izakaya in this area... It's quite far from both Minami-Fukuoka Station and Zasshonokuma Station. It's located right in front of Hakata Minami Post Office, with a large pond in front of the restaurant. The counter inside faces the pond, creating a nice ambiance. As soon as you enter, you'll see the kitchen, and the restaurant expands towards the pond, with plenty of 4-person tatami seats in the middle of the restaurant. Towards the back, you can see the pond and there's a long counter next to it. It's a pretty spacious restaurant. When it comes to food, sashimi and sushi seem to be the main dishes. They offer a unique system where you can choose from an assorted 5-piece sashimi platter or customize your order with individual pieces of various fish. You can also select sushi by the piece. The sashimi is all incredibly delicious, including non-fish options like raw beef rolls. Aside from sashimi, they also have yakitori and a variety of izakaya dishes. They offer a selection of different types of sake, making it a paradise for sake lovers. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but the taste is worth it. When I entered the restaurant, it was still bright, so there were quite a few bugs inside. I guess it's unavoidable with a pond right in front of the restaurant. The dishes were all elegantly presented and delicious.

I have visited this place twice. The front of the shop is by a pond, offering a lovely view from dusk until night. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice, making it a great spot for a date in Minami-Fukuoka. The sushi and yakitori are all delicious. The staff is mostly young, but they provide excellent service. I recommend making a reservation before going!

I was glad that I was able to order the elusive sesame mackerel. The meat dishes, fish dishes, and everything else are always delicious. The staff are all cute girls!

It seemed like it could serve about four people. The dipping sauce had a strong sesame flavor, but it paired well with the thin, chewy noodles. I thought it might be too strong, but it was just right and I enjoyed it. I recommend trying this dish. I went on a Sunday, so there were many families, creating a pleasant atmosphere different from the usual weekend rush. Next time, I want to try the grilled fish that I didn't order this time. It looks like I'll be visiting this place more often.
