"Lacking sophistication, a popular long-established local yakiniku restaurant in the Chikugo area, Mr. Aoki, was chosen for a sudden change in schedule to stay in Fukuoka. It had been over 10 years since my last visit to this place. When I first visited, I couldn't help but notice the partition in the seating area and thought it looked just like Armani Restaurant in Ginza. Here are some thoughts on the dishes we ordered at Mr. Aoki: - Silk Cross (¥2300): It reminded me of the signature dish at Yoroniku in Tokyo, but the comparison was a bit awkward. - AOKI Premium Thick-cut Harami (¥1960): The harami was not as thick-cut as expected, and I would have preferred it to be at least 1.5cm thick. - Black Wagyu Negi-tan Salt (¥1700): The texture was tough and lacked the goodness of Wagyu tongue. - Ultimate Kalbi (¥1780): The meat was tough and not worth the price. I would have preferred the regular Kalbi at Yoroniku in Tokyo for ¥1200. - Wagyu Upper Mino (¥980): The cuts were too big and crumbled easily when cooked. - Upper Hormone (Small Intestine) (¥800): The miso sauce was overwhelming, and it became tiring after a while. - Popular Shigesara (¥700): The seasoning was too strong, and I prefer a lighter dressing for yakiniku salads. - Egg Soup (¥450): This was closer to my preference, with a hint of ginger in the miso sauce. In conclusion, despite some shortcomings in the dishes, the affordable prices at Mr. Aoki made it a decent dining experience. While some may praise the special menu items at this restaurant, I believe a good yakiniku restaurant should excel in its regular menu offerings that are consistently satisfying. Overall, Mr. Aoki is on par with other yakiniku restaurants in Fukuoka, but it stands out as a beloved local favorite in the Chikugo area. Thank you for reading till the end. Tonight's yakiniku restaurant is Mr. Aoki. This is a local yakiniku restaurant that I had heard some rumors about from people in the area. A must-try dish is the gold leaf rib roast. Good points: With roots in the wholesale of offal, the quality of the ingredients is outstanding. The harmony between the meat quality and the sauce may depend on personal preference! Improvements desired: The sauce is reminiscent of JJE.

It's my selfish request ( ; ; ) I've been wishing for the revival of old desserts for a long time!! Both me and my kids are not fans of matcha, pomegranate, or almond tofu, so we can't eat seasonal parfaits, almond tofu, or matcha parfaits. Having gelato is great (^-^) I used to get excited over desserts like heart-shaped ice creams in the past, just looking at them made me happy♪ The second photo shows delicious meat! The atmosphere of the restaurant is outstanding❣️ It's a perfect place for anniversaries or dates, even though it's a yakiniku restaurant haha If you make a reservation, they also prepare a plate for special occasions. The women's restroom has a colorful design, so I recommend checking it out at least once‼️

I ordered the Mr. Aoki's lunch set for ¥2,480, which includes premium cuts like tongue, harami, kalbi, and sagari. You can choose between white rice or barley rice, and it also comes with three side dishes and a hearty beef soup. The meat was tender and delicious, with no unpleasant smell. The thick slices of meat with a good amount of fat made me feel happy. The sauce was also very tasty. I want to come back with a group to try different types of meat next time. I also want to try their meat cake for a celebration. The elegant hostess provided excellent service, and I was shown the kids' room as well. In front of Kahoteras, there is a spacious parking lot. As soon as you enter the store, there are rows of photos of famous people. This time, we ate at a couple's seat. The atmosphere was very nice with private rooms and side-by-side sunken kotatsu tables. The menu is also extensive, and you can choose the sauce and salt. All the meat was very delicious. I tried the mentaiko cheese bibimbap and it was so delicious with a crispy crust. Highly recommended for birthdays or anniversaries!

During a weekday lunch with a short wait, I ordered the Beauty Body Lunch. The meat and rice came out quickly. I was surprised by how tender the tongue was. The kalbi, loin, and skirt were also tender and very delicious. The sauce had a strong ginger flavor and was very tasty. This was by far the best yakiniku I've ever had. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant regularly.

I had to go to Iizuka the other day so I decided to use this restaurant. This place is known for being frequented by professional baseball players, with their photos displayed. The reviews are quite good, so I'm looking forward to it!! The interior is quite luxurious and nice. I ordered the First Class Lunch which included salad, appetizer, soup, rice, meat, dessert, and coffee. The meat was nicely marbled, tender, and delicious. The harami was also tender and very good. I would like to use this restaurant again when I come back here next time.

If you love hormone dishes, you absolutely must try Mr. Aoki's place, as my foodie friends have been recommending it for years. It's located about an hour's drive from Hakata Station by rental car. In short, the food is incredibly delicious! Even the sashimi is surprisingly tasty, with super thick raw senmai that I've never had before. The horse liver also has a fresh and unique texture. The black tongue allocated one per person has a completely different texture and sweetness compared to other tongues, thanks to being domestically sourced. I really love tongue dishes, and Mr. Aoki's tongue is excellent. The heart near the center, called Shinji, was also delicious. The salted hormone dishes like heart were all different in terms of texture and sweetness, and very tasty. The pig stomach was also delicious, with no unpleasant odor due to its freshness. Since I was introduced to this place by a friendly yakiniku restaurant owner, I was able to try some off-menu items at Mr. Aoki's place. I visited during lunchtime, but apparently, they serve morning-ground hormone dishes on weekday evenings. This means I'll have to revisit, but taking time off work for a weekday evening is a bit tricky! [Mr. Aoki's carefully selected off-menu items] - Sashimi platter: horse belly, black tongue, horse liver, white senmai - Assorted fruits: figs, peaches, fruit tomatoes, burrata cheese - Kimchi platter - Grilled thick-cut tongue with salt: horse belly as duck, with wasabi; thin-sliced tongue with onions, with grated ponzu; horse belly as is or with sauce - Assorted salted hormone dishes: duck-shaped heart with lemon; wagyu mino sandwich with lime; 200g rare cut of wagyu mino; lamb with lime; ostrich with sudachi; beef tripe with Korean spices; heart with Korean spices - Tare hormone dishes: slimy ostrich with sudachi; red sen's cob; pig stomach - Bamboo steak: with meringue sauce, then mixed with rice for delicious TKG! - Fig almond tofu - Korean corn silk tea It was all delicious, thank you for the meal. In the Chikuho region, I finally fulfilled my long-awaited wish to visit a famous restaurant. I made a reservation and went with my family of three for a small celebration. Grateful to my husband for driving and treating us, we grilled and ate endlessly (laughs). We asked the staff for recommendations and ended up ordering who knows how many servings... Not only the meat but also the drinks and desserts were beautifully presented with an extra touch, and we enjoyed them until we were about to burst. We kept our drink orders, including alcohol, modest, so the total bill for three adults was 27,000 yen, a bit pricey but considering the quality of the meat and everything else, it seems like a reasonable amount, or even more valuable. The parking lot was spacious, and the luxurious atmosphere inside the restaurant was great. We definitely need to go back again.

On this day in May 2023, I visited Mr. Aoki, a yakiniku restaurant in Iizuka City, Fukuoka, with a rating of 3.73 on Tabelog. Even though it's about an hour by train from Hakata, my acquaintances highly recommended it as delicious. I couldn't ask anyone to come with me, but I finally went. I'm not a greedy type, but the freshness of the horumon was outstanding, especially the shimacho was the best I've ever had in my life. Everything I tried was recommended, but I wish I had tried more. Despite being a bit far from Hakata, I think it's worth a visit to this restaurant! It was really delicious. Whenever I go to Iizuka, I always see this restaurant. I finally went. How can I put it... how can I put it... amazing. Anyway, they provide fresh meat from start to finish. It feels good. They cut the meat in a way that is easy to eat, but not excessive, just perfect. They grill it for you and you eat it... luxurious. Each piece of meat is filled with freshness and flavor. I could just keep eating the tongue alone. The tongue is impressive. The first half with lean meat is already more than satisfying, but here comes the amazing part. Hormone ❤️ It's not just about the freshness, but also the joy of eating carefully selected parts that are delicious. This is amazing. Beautiful, delicious, chewy, and melting. It's no wonder the owner serves it with confidence. A grilled meat that you can finish without using much sauce. The best. And finally, the luxury of eating meat with egg on top. Put that egg on rice! And wrap the meat like a pro. Kimchi soup. Dessert... I'm about to burst. Power. Happiness. It's exploding. I'm done for. I want to go again.

After a long time, I visited the restaurant with my 95-year-old and 89-year-old grandmothers. The freshness of the meat was excellent and delicious, possibly because they sell meat next door. We ordered various dishes and discovered our favorite ones! It's important to eat what you like at our age. We had AOKI special sirloin, salted tongue, pot kalbi, tripe kimchi, and white rice. There were also various recommended meats on the secret menu, which were delicious but a bit confusing. It's best to enjoy the meat slowly with a small group to fully appreciate it. When it comes to hospitality, sticking to the classics is satisfying. My 95-year-old mother was very satisfied and said it was the most delicious meat she had eaten in a long time. It seems like she will live even longer.

I visited for lunch. The Beauty Body Lunch was 2,300 yen, and the First Class Lunch was 2,850 yen. I also added the Who Steak Hormone Assortment (4 types) for around 10,000 yen, including dessert and post-meal tea. I was completely full. I will visit again. Next time, I want to try the dessert too.

In Fukuoka Prefecture's Iizuka City, there is a large yakiniku restaurant run by Mr. Aoki. The restaurant also has a butcher shop attached. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into preparing the meat, as it is incredibly fresh and high-quality. The interior of the restaurant is luxurious, creating a special atmosphere. The hormone (offal) dishes are especially delicious! I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

When we were guided to the dazzling private room in the past, we had a great time with our family! The sauce and atmosphere were great. The rich sauce was so good that you could eat it with just rice. However, we were disappointed that the dessert had been changed on the menu. We used to love choosing desserts like champagne glasses with crown decorations or heart-shaped ice cream from a separate menu, but now they are included in the meat menu. Our family prefers normal desserts like strawberry or chocolate, so we were disappointed that options like matcha, mango, and orange syrup were not available. We could only choose between two types of sorbet ice cream, but they were larger than expected and very delicious. The total cost for five people was around 18,000 yen, with soft drinks only.

I finally visited Aoki-san's long-awaited restaurant. It looks like a stylish, high-end hotel lounge with separate seating for families and a kids' room. I was impressed even before eating my first meal at a yakiniku restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff's service was excellent. I tried new cuts of meat like abalone-like horumon, which was fun. I forgot to take photos, but the bibimbap was also delicious. They seem to put effort into their desserts, so I definitely want to come back next time.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I ordered the Mr. Aoki lunch, but I was surprised by how different it looked from the menu photo (lol). However, the pork was delicious with good quality meat, and the portion was satisfying! Next time, I would like to try eating yakiniku while drinking at night.

On my third visit, I made a last-minute reservation for a Saturday and they were very flexible in accommodating me in the special guest room where all eyes were on me whenever I walked out. I always wonder, what is the secret behind the refined shape of this meat? It is definitely worth making the trip from Hakata. Every dish, from the texture to the taste, is impeccable! Even the side dishes like salad and kimchi are exceptionally delicious! I don't often visit the Chikuho region, but if you do, make sure to stop by this amazing restaurant.

I had been interested in a yakiniku restaurant in Iizuka that was featured in the Michelin guide. Since I live in Fukuoka city, I didn't have the chance to visit it, but I finally got to go during a visit back home! The restaurant has been open since January 2nd and was almost fully booked. It's a popular spot. They only offer a set menu for lunch, which includes a variety of meats. We were a group of 3 adults, a elementary school student, and a toddler, and the total bill was around 15,000 yen. The elementary school student, who loves meat, didn't seem to enjoy it much and barely ate anything. Choosing the right meat can be tricky. We ordered the salt mixed platter for 2-3 people, fillet, sirloin, beef sagari, mitsuboshi tofu with kujo negi and avocado salad, white rice, pistachio parfait, and a crepe-like dessert. When the mixed platter arrived, we were surprised by the small amount of meat, but each slice was thick. The negi on the tongue was delicious! The beef fillet was surprisingly tender and you could tell it was worth the price. The gold flakes were a nice touch (laughs). The sirloin and beef sagari were also thick but tender. We didn't have much time, so we couldn't eat much and stopped at about 80% full. The pistachio parfait from BABBI was a bit disappointing, but the meat was delicious.

I had passed by the restaurant many times before, but this was my first visit. I went for Christmas dinner and the place looked very stylish and promising. The interior was so clean and beautiful, you wouldn't think it's a yakiniku restaurant. I heard that many celebrities also visit this place. This time, I ordered a la carte items: premium kalbi, premium loin, famous black wagyu tongue with salt, seared beef toro sushi, assorted hormone platter, and gelato (pistachio and vanilla). Everything looked beautiful and tasted elegant. The meat was tender and delicious. Even the dessert was delicious! It's a bit pricey, so I would like to visit again on a special occasion.
