ポテミミちゃん
Today's Poteranchi → [First] I thought it was a traditional Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, but it also includes elements of Fuchu-yaki, and incorporates elements of Kansai-style as well. It's an okonomiyaki that combines the best of both worlds, a taste that former Prime Minister Abe would have been satisfied with, I don't know, but. In front of the repeat-worthy store, there are real cabbages placed, and the logo of the store is also a cabbage, so the cabbage promotion is clearly conveyed. For lunch, I ordered the B lunch where you can add two toppings, and the toppings were shrimp and squid, which were also recommended as popular choices. I came to eat Hiroshima-style, so of course I ordered Hiroshima-yaki, and chose soba noodles. The appearance is a standard okonomiyaki, but the surface of the noodles is crispy, which is rare for Hiroshima-style, but at the same time, it reminded me of the time when I ate Fuchu-yaki at "Fukuichi" in Sangenjaya, where the noodles were also crispy. Fuchu-yaki, originating from Fukuchu City in Hiroshima, is a dish similar to okonomiyaki, but with crispy noodles as a feature. It has a higher ratio of softer noodles than Fuchu-yaki, so you can enjoy both the crispy and soft texture of the noodles at the same time, making it delicious. It is served pre-cut into a grid pattern, which is common in Osaka, while in Tokyo, okonomiyaki is usually cut in a cross shape. I remember watching a TV feature about cutting okonomiyaki in a cross shape, and all Kansai people said, "That's pizza!" and laughed. The toppings of shrimp and squid were larger and more plentiful than expected, so my satisfaction level increased. Beside the mayonnaise, there was a lemon sauce placed, and honestly, I didn't have the image of putting lemon sauce on okonomiyaki, so I left it alone. However, I decided to try it since it was there, and it was delicious. It didn't taste sour, but it made the flavor more refined, a new discovery. There was a photo of former Prime Minister Abe displayed in the store when he visited, and in terms of generations, the prime ministers I love are Mr. Koizumi and Mr. Abe, so I felt a little melancholic, but I think Mr. Abe also enjoyed the delicious food. I don't know though.
