On weekdays at 12:50, there were 6 people waiting in line. I entered the restaurant at 1:26. I ordered the Garam Curry (¥950) with a large portion of rice (¥100) and the Keema Curry without rice (¥850), along with some Achaar (¥50), bringing the total to ¥1,950. Lately, whenever I come to Hakata, instead of ramen or motsunabe, I always start with the Garam Curry. Today, I was prepared to wait in line again. The restaurant has only 6 counter seats, so I knew I would have to wait for a second round. Despite the good weather, I decided to line up. There were no measures in place to reduce the line, and no numbered tickets were given out. At 1:00, four people were seated at once, followed by two more at 1:02. I started lining up and within 10 minutes, I was at the front of the line. I entered the restaurant at 1:26, with a total wait time of 36 minutes. If there are fewer than 5 people waiting ahead of you, you can usually get in within the first round, so the wait is shorter. As soon as I sat down, I placed my order for the Garam Curry with a large portion of rice and the Keema Curry without rice. I noticed that the discount for ordering without rice was ¥50 instead of the ¥100 it used to be, but it didn't bother me. Achaar is a must-have, so I added that to my order as well. This was my third time having the combination of Garam and Keema curries. If I could get in without waiting, I might just order the Garam curry on its own, but after waiting for a while, I always end up ordering the Keema curry as well when I'm hungry. If you have the stomach and the budget for it, I highly recommend getting both the Garam and Keema curries. However, you'll definitely need to order the large portion of rice, as the regular portion won't be enough. The intense spiciness of the Garam Curry remains unchanged. I've been to 97 curry shops as of now for the Hyakumeiten 2022 project, but I have never had a spicier curry than this one. It's truly the ideal spicy curry. The Keema curry isn't spicy, but when mixed with the Garam curry, it enhances the flavor. I haven't tried the Keema curry on its own, but for first-timers, I recommend starting with the Garam curry. If you really can't handle spiciness, it might be difficult to fully appreciate the true value of this restaurant. However, the spiciness of the Garam curry, while definitely present, is still milder compared to Kashmir curries from Bombay or Delhi. It's not as spicy as it looks. I left the restaurant at 1:42 with one person waiting. As soon as one person entered, the wait time became zero. There are days like this too.
