Smoking is permitted at all tables. Please check with the restaurant before visiting, as the law concerning measures against passive smoking (revised Health Promotion Law) has been enforced since April 1, 2020, and the information may differ from the latest information.
The pork cutlet set meal with a side of curry (600 + 100) is a good choice. It can get crowded during lunchtime, so let's work together with other customers to make things more efficient. The rice and miso soup are self-service, so it's great for kids too. PayPay is convenient to use, but the Docomo signal is weak underground. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch and was surprised that the service and curry only cost 600 yen. It was delicious. Next time, I might try other menu items like pork cutlet or ginger pork. Anyway, I was able to serve myself rice and miso soup. I also liked the barley rice.

I entered the restaurant a little before 12 o'clock. The place was about half full. I ordered the service pork cutlet with a side of curry (500 yen + 100 yen). As soon as I entered, I decided on my order at the counter, paid, and was given the side dishes on a tray. When I went to my seat, there were rice and miso soup containers, so I could help myself to them to complete my meal. The rice was barley rice. The service pork cutlet was pre-made and a bit cold, but considering the price and the effort, it was quite good. The side curry also went well with the pork cutlet. The owner runs the place alone, so it's best to go at a less busy time. Of course, clearing the table after the meal is also self-service. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during the usual lunch hours. I managed to get in before the nearby office workers crowded the place. It's a one-person operation, so any delay would make it impossible to finish before the lunch break. I had the ginger pork lunch set for 500 yen. The miso soup and barley rice are self-service. The ginger pork was a bit salty, and the miso soup was more like a miso soup, but for 500 yen, the cost performance is excellent.

I ordered the Pork Ginger Stir-fry Set Meal for 500 yen during my visit in the afternoon of November 2021. I ordered at the counter, received the side dishes, and then served the rice and miso soup myself. The pork ginger stir-fry was delicious in a normal way.

I visited this place for lunch. It is a self-service lunch operation, and the price is only 500 yen, which is very cheap. I was a bit skeptical about the quality because of the low price, but the tonkatsu lunch I ordered was delicious. The tonkatsu was thick and had a rich pork flavor, exceeding my expectations. I also added curry topping for an extra 100 yen, and enjoyed it with rice. Since it's self-service, I could help myself to more servings and truly enjoyed my lunch. The miso soup was also delicious, with just the right thickness and flavor. With the curry topping included, the total price was 600 yen, making it a very affordable and satisfying lunch.

Eating pork with rock salt on top is interesting.

I have visited this place many times. It's a restaurant with a sign of a flying pig as a landmark. They serve yakiniku with rock salt, but this time I tried their shabu-shabu. I dipped the sterile domestic pork from Gunma in the hot pot, then put it on the rock salt and took a bite! The combination of the saltiness of the rock salt and the sweetness of the pork is delicious. The soup xiaolongbao comes in a dish with the xiaolongbao floating in the soup, and it's really tasty. I also love the miso-marinated pork tongue, it's perfect as a drinking snack. Oh, and make sure to visit the restroom! The front sign has a pig's head, but the restroom downstairs... well, that's a surprise for you to find out! 😉

Today's lunch was at Kirai Kippan, an izakaya in Senkoku. It had been about 6 years since my last visit. I ordered the Obihiro pork bowl from the lunch menu. The portion of meat was small, but it was well-seasoned and delicious. Thank you for the meal. The restaurant is a pork specialty shop located 2-3 minutes walk from Senkoku Station on the Toei Mita Line. As soon as you pass by, you'll notice the pork popping out from the wall above the entrance. The restaurant is located underground, so you enter by going down the stairs. The interior is like an izakaya, with small and cozy seating arrangements. I sat at a table towards the back and ordered the Juicy Pork Cutlet set for 780 yen from the 8 lunch menu options, all made with domestic Joshu pork. The Juicy Pork Cutlet had a thick and crispy coating that perfectly complemented the meat. The meat itself was about 1 cm thick, and with each bite, the sweetness and umami spread in the mouth, making it a juicy and delicious pork. The set came with a slightly spicy tonkatsu sauce, but I think sprinkling some pink rock salt on top from the table enhances the flavor of the pork. It was a bit disappointing that the set came with consomme soup instead of miso soup. Miso soup would have been better with tonkatsu. There was also dessert included after the meal, and for 780 yen, it was a great value lunch. I would like to revisit this place since it's close to my workplace, but the fact that it's a small restaurant where seats are close to each other and smoking is allowed throughout is a downside. It was quite unpleasant to have someone smoking next to me while I was eating. It would be better if they made it a non-smoking time during lunch hours. Overall, it's a recommended place for smokers. Thank you for the meal.

I used to visit the area between Sengoku and Hakusan along the old Hakusan Street for lunch like a glutton, but this time I visited a restaurant called Kiraikitsudan that serves pork dishes. The restaurant is located on the left side of the old Hakusan Street, heading towards Hakusan, after getting off at Sengoku Station on the Toei Mita Line. The lunch menu is all 500 yen. Wow, that's cheap!! I thought and went in, but there was a catch. Menu options include: - Topped pork cutlet bowl 500 yen - Pork ginger stir-fry 500 yen - Obihiro pork bowl 500 yen - Pork cutlet curry 500 yen I decided to have the Obihiro pork bowl. The staff asked, "Will you takeout or eat in?" Since the restaurant was empty, I chose to eat in and they guided me to a seat. Then, the pork bowl arrived in a takeout container. The main pork bowl had a sweet and savory flavor, topped with white leeks. The meat was decent, but it seemed like it was reheated. The rice was hard and not good. The lukewarm pork miso soup was the only saving grace. Even if the food was delicious, reheating pre-made dishes and serving them is questionable. Maybe if it was a bento box, eating it in the restaurant might have been more positive, but I couldn't bring myself to feel that way. They used to offer made-to-order lunch sets before. I probably won't revisit for lunch. I heard the dinner reviews are not bad, so maybe it's worth trying in the evening. Thank you for the meal.

At a pork dish specialty restaurant, there is a large pork hanging in the refrigerator for aging. The interior of the restaurant has a calm, cozy atmosphere resembling a traditional Japanese house. I ordered the recommended shabu-shabu and a few side dishes, and the shabu-shabu was absolutely delicious. A pot with collagen balls was brought out, followed by a chunk of meat-like rock salt. The first piece was prepared by the staff. I briefly cooked the lettuce and meat, then placed it on the rock salt which enhanced the flavor with its perfect amount of salt. I always thought pork needed to be thoroughly cooked, but since it was sterile pork, it was safe. There was a wide variety of alcohol options, especially rare types of shochu. This innovative way of eating and the deliciousness of the meat is highly recommended for pork lovers.

On May 10th (Tuesday), during lunchtime, Drinknist visited the pork specialty restaurant "Kirai Kippan"! Looking at the lunch menu, it's clear that it's a pork specialty shop, with options like:
- Grilled Joshu pork on charcoal: 880 yen
- Juicy pork loin cutlet: 780 yen
- Tender pork fillet cutlet: 830 yen
- Pork loin ginger stir-fry: 700 yen
- Homemade pork hamburger: 750 yen
- Today's meat and vegetable stir-fry: 700 yen
- Pork cutlet curry: 780 yen
- Rich and meaty Hayashi rice: 780 yen
Drinknist selected the "Rich and meaty Hayashi rice"! The Hayashi rice with plenty of meat is quite delicious!

I had the Juicy Pork Cutlet Set Meal for 780 yen. It came with soup, a mini salad, pork cutlet, rice, pickles, and dessert. The dressing on the mini salad seemed a bit watered down. The soup lacked aroma and felt a bit diluted, like it was homemade but not very rich. The pork used was sterile pork from Joshu, and it had a tender texture, with a clean taste. Sprinkling some rock salt on it brought out its sweetness. The cabbage side dish was cooked in a steamed style, making it sweet and tasty. The sauce had a slightly spicy Worcestershire flavor, which paired well with the pork cutlet. The dessert was almond jelly, a thick type with a delicious coconut sweetness and a smooth texture. Overall, I think it was a good value for the amount of food. They also have limited lunch options like hamburger steak, ginger pork, and hashed beef, which I look forward to trying next time.

Located underground a little ways from the Chigusa Station on the Toei Mita Line, this restaurant was visited based on reviews suggesting it was a place where people could have a proper meal even during lunchtime. Visiting alone around 12:10 on a weekday, the single male staff member in the kitchen asked if I wanted to pay here and eat inside. It turned out to be a bento, where you could choose to either eat in or take out. The benefits of eating in were having tea and a wet towel, as well as a place to sit. It was disappointing to find out that they didn't serve proper set meals. I ordered the Pork Ginger (500 yen) and received a circular bento box after paying at the counter. I helped myself to tea and a wet towel from the counter and found my seat. Opening the bento, I found two slices of fatty Pork Ginger on a bed of cabbage in the top compartment. The slices were cut into four pieces, but the edges were all fat. The bottom compartment contained plain white rice without any seasoning or pickles. While the flavor of the Pork Ginger was decent, it was already cold and tough, and the fact that it was a bento was a downside. The 500 yen price tag felt a bit steep for what was offered. Disappointed as I had hoped for a proper set meal experience.

We used it for a company drinking party. It was my first time at this place, but it was easy to find as it faced the street. I looked for the pig statue that was said to be the landmark, and it was a bit strange. Going down the stairs, the stairs felt a little narrow. Inside the restaurant, there were many pillars and partitions, making it a suitable space for small groups or even parties of over 20 people. The draft beer was very cold (as expected) and delicious. We had a set course menu, so we couldn't choose from the grand menu, but everything was perfectly seasoned. I wanted to eat more of the soup dumplings, but we were only allowed one per person. The charcoal-grilled salted pork from Gunma was delicious, but it had too much fat, and it was hard to cook on the small charcoal grill with weak heat. Also, each person was given a piece of rock salt, which I think was probably reused, but it was served in large chunks. I was full and satisfied. The only disappointment was the soft drink carbonation. Especially the cola was flat and not tasty.

We held an event at Senkoku and used it for the after-party. The food was like a typical izakaya, so it didn't have any standout features. There were no disappointments. We enjoyed not only pork but also delicious karaage and thinly sliced beef tataki. Perhaps we should have tried eating it in a yakiniku style. The atmosphere of the restaurant is bright, welcoming, and friendly. Not bad at all. It was also convenient that they open early.

I have revisited this place several times, so here is an additional review. I don't usually eat a lot of meat, but when I come here, I end up eating a lot of delicious barbecue. The first time I visited, I had the shabu-shabu and my impression remains the same - the meat is delicious. The thick rib roast is also very satisfying to eat. The fat is tasty but not overwhelming. The rare pork tongue has a unique texture and rich flavor, making it my favorite snack. I always make sure to order the broccoli with sesame mayo, a classic dish for women. For this price, I don't know of any other place where you can get pork of this quality, so I keep coming back regularly. (Update: August 2011) I visited Ki-rai Kissa, a pork specialty restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from Senkoku Station on the Toei Mita Line. The interior is cozy and calm. The restaurant was busy, but the table seating made it comfortable, and the staff frequently came to clear empty plates. The drinks were served relatively quickly. This time, I ordered a course menu so I didn't choose the dishes myself, but I particularly enjoyed the main dish of pork shabu-shabu! It came with two large collagen balls, which was a delight for women❤ The meat included both loin and pork belly. I don't usually eat pork belly, but the meat here was sweet and delicious. The loin was refreshing and also very tasty. The almond tofu dessert had a rich flavor and I really liked it. It had a generous portion for a course dessert, which was nice. There were a few items on the menu that caught my eye, so I plan to order them a la carte next time. The reasonable prices were a big plus and I left very satisfied!

I went with my colleagues from work. The restaurant is a bit hard to find as it is underground, but once you enter, you are greeted with a stylish atmosphere reminiscent of a renovated old Japanese house and excellent service. The cuisine is focused on pork, with a variety of pork dishes available. The braised pork was especially delicious. The pork used seemed to be of high quality from Shinshu, with no unpleasant smell and a light, refreshing taste. We also ordered a yakiniku course, which we enjoyed thoroughly! We had quite a few drinks, but the total bill for two people was around 7000 yen! The cost performance is excellent! If you ever find yourself nearby, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

While taking a walk, I saw a red pig popping out of a wall, which caught my attention. I approached and discovered that it was a restaurant specializing in pork. It was located on the basement floor, and although I couldn't see inside the restaurant, I gathered my courage and entered. Near the entrance, there was a large refrigerated display with hanging pork meat. The interior had four table seats and more seats on the other side of a partition. There were several customers, so I felt at ease as I looked at the menu. The main dish seemed to be pork yakiniku, but I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered a different dish. A complimentary pork soup was served, which was a bit awkward as I had also ordered a drink.
- Ginger Grilled Pork (¥680): Probably the most delicious I've ever had. The meat was thick but very tender, with a satisfying texture and delicious sauce.
- Cheese Cutlet (¥700): The pork was very juicy due to excess fat, which was a bit too much for me.
- Cheese Potato Salad (¥500): Thick slices of ham and a cheese flavor made this dish very tasty.
- Refreshing Pork Chazuke (¥500): The pork broth was intense, resembling Okinawan soba, and the pork was tender and delicious.
- Almond Tofu (¥380): The coconut-flavored cream sauce with nuts on top made this almond tofu rich and delicious. Overall, I was satisfied with the taste and cost performance, making it a restaurant I would like to visit again!
