Next to the newly opened Yaesu Midtown, there are about 8 types of alcohol-infused ice creams, all of which are high quality and flavorful. Even the ones with low alcohol content still have a distinct rice flavor, making them enjoyable. The ones with higher alcohol content, ranging from 3% to 5%, may make you slightly tipsy if consumed on an empty stomach. They might be most delicious enjoyed in the early autumn rather than summer.

SAKEICE Tokyo Shop located at 2-1-1 Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Tokyo Yanmar Tokyo Building 1F is a small space where ice cream and alcohol are displayed. You can choose from several types of sake ice cream, and there are also non-alcoholic options available. I chose one with a low alcohol content. The Sake Kasu Ice Cream (Otokoyama Daiginjo) is rich yet refreshing, with a distinct sake kasu flavor. It's a dessert for adults. It was delicious. Thank you.

On a hot day, I took my husband to this place to eat ice cream - "SAKEICETokyoShop" located in front of Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit on the 1st floor of Yanmar Tokyo Building. It is a building adjacent to Midtown Yaesu. Please note that the shop is facing outside of the Yanmar Building, not inside. As the name suggests, this shop offers ice cream made with Japanese sake. The ice cream has an alcohol content of around 4%, so those under 20 years old or planning to drive a car cannot eat it. It's an ice cream shop for adults. However, for those like me who are weak with alcohol or have children, there are also non-alcoholic ice creams available. That's why I visited with my husband to enjoy the Japanese sake-based ice cream. The lineup includes: "Sake Ice Cream (Yamakai)", "Otoko Yama", "Inotou Junmai", "Okunomatsu Machi Junmai Sake", "Sake Lees (Otoko Yama Daiginjo)", "WAKAZETHECLASSIC", "Soba Shochu Kantaro", "Junmai Mango". Non-alcoholic ice creams include milk ice cream with rice kneaded in "Re-Ole" and "Pink Rice Flour Ice Cream" using red glutinous rice flour from Toyama. They also sell cup ice creams for takeout. My husband had the Japanese sake-based ice cream, and I had the non-alcoholic ice cream. The shop also sells alcohol with cool labels and bottles, making it suitable for gifts. There is a small bench inside the shop, but it might be nice to enjoy it on the benches in Yanmar Building or Midtown Yaesu surrounded by greenery. "Otoko Yama" for 550 yen is an ice cream made with the "Otoko Yama" from Hokkaido. Even though I'm weak with alcohol, I tried it and it has a strong scent of Japanese sake, not just milk. The flavor is great and delicious, but with an alcohol content of 4%, I might get drunk if I eat too much. My husband also said it was delicious with a strong Japanese sake flavor and alcohol content. "Pink Rice Flour Ice Cream" for 550 yen is pink in color due to the use of red glutinous rice flour from Toyama. When you eat it, it has a unique and interesting texture, kind of fluffy and starchy. It has a grainy taste due to the rice flour. It's delicious as a milk ice cream too. Non-alcoholic ice creams are delicious, but I think it's best to eat Japanese sake ice cream here. Even though I'm weak with alcohol, I found it delicious and enjoyed it. It was a fun experience at this adult ice cream shop.

I won't get drunk with this sake ice cream. It's hot, so I thought I'd refresh myself with some ice cream. There are various flavors available, but it seems they also have non-alcoholic options. I'll go with the one with alcohol though. Yuzu lemon is refreshing, and the alcohol taste isn't too strong, so it's okay even for those who don't like alcohol. It has a refreshing citrus flavor. Sake lees has a strong taste, it doesn't have that strong alcohol sensation, but it has a strong lees flavor. Still, it's delicious. There are only two seats inside, so I had to sit on the bench outside and enjoy the ice cream while feeling the breeze. It's a bit of a speed challenge with the wind blowing from the buildings, but it's all good.

Next to Yaesu Midtown, there is a specialty ice cream shop that uses sake, located in the Yanmar building. On a humid day after work, I decided to stop by. I didn't necessarily want a drink, but I didn't want to go straight home either. A third place that understands this feeling is not limited to bars or cafes, but also includes gelato and ice cream shops. And to have a shop dedicated to sake-infused ice cream is quite convenient! I peeked into the ice cream showcase and was taken aback. Everything was white... all white... it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be (laughs). Gelato and ice cream usually come in various colors, making the selection process fun. You choose based on the flavors, but in reality, you are choosing based on the colors. The sake ice creams here are all milk-based, so they are all white in color. Each has a different brand, but all white! Since I couldn't choose based on appearance, I had to rely on information to make my selection. I ordered the "Oki Homare" flavor. There are various types of sake from light to rich, and I chose the Oki Homare, which was described as "thick and sweet," replicating the sake from the Muromachi period. This was seriously delicious! With an alcohol content of 4-5%, it had a strong sake flavor. It wasn't like the typical "sake-flavored" products, but a genuine sake taste. Considering that the average alcohol content of sake is around 15%, this ice cream contained about 30% alcohol. By using sake so generously, you can truly taste the characteristics of the sake brand and enjoy a cocktail-like experience. For those who enjoy soft serve ice cream or shaved ice with liqueur for a more adult taste, this flavor is definitely recommended. The shop is located on the first floor of the Yanmar building, tucked away in a slightly hidden spot facing the passageway between the Midtown buildings. It's not easily visible from the front, so please be mindful.

There is a popular trend of sake lees ice cream in the world. There are various types of sake ice cream available, but this one is particularly rich. The regular ice cream uses Hakkaisan sake, and there are also ice creams made with 3-4 different types of sake, including Otoko Yamahai. The ice cream itself is well blended, offering a rich aroma and alcohol taste. The flavor can vary depending on the sake used, adding to the enjoyment. Note that this ice cream is not suitable for children.

Located right in front of the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station, next to the popular "Tokyo Midtown Yaesu," is a multi-purpose facility called "YANMARTOKYO" that opened in January this year. On the first floor of this facility is Japan's first "sake ice cream specialty store" called "SAKEICE." This store is part of the agricultural machinery manufacturer "Yanmar," which also features an experience gallery and a restaurant promoting the charm of rice and sake. The store sells ice cream made with sake, sake rice, and rice flour, exploring new possibilities for rice consumption. The store has a variety of sake ice creams, with alcohol content ranging from 4-5%, as well as non-alcoholic options. The store is small with no seating area, but they offer cup ice creams that could make for a great adult souvenir. One of their offerings is the "Sake Ice Cream made with Shimane's Honcho Mura Junmai Sake," which is a sweet and amber-colored ice cream made with a sake from the late Muromachi period. The ice cream has a gentle sake aroma, a smooth sweetness, and a distinct sake flavor. It is easy to eat with a lingering taste of sake lees or sweet sake. The store also offers online sales on their website.

I used the lunch happy hour and received recommendations. There is a small bench inside the store so you can eat in. If it's too crowded, there are many benches nearby. The coffee seems to be made from beans roasted at a nearby shop.

I received an ice cream from a rice and sake ice cream shop featured on Yanmar Tokyo's Instagram. They had non-alcoholic options as well. I thought I would get a mini size, but it was surprisingly large and cost 550 yen for a single scoop. The ice cream had a slightly sticky texture, possibly from rice flour, and a grainy feel, but it was sweet and delicious.

Yanmar Tokyo, a newly opened complex facility in Yaesu, houses several shops themed around rice. One of these shops explores new possibilities for rice consumption by incorporating sake, sake rice, rice flour, and other ingredients into their ice cream. Located outside on the ground floor between Tokyo Midtown and Yanmar, this shop offers 8 types of sake ice cream and 2 types of non-alcoholic ice cream. The sake ice creams typically have an alcohol content of 4-5%, with the most popular being the plum wine flavor. I opted for a double scoop of sake lees ice cream and non-alcoholic rice wine ice cream, which I enjoyed on a bench inside the shop due to the cold weather. The sake lees ice cream had a rich flavor and a slight alcohol content, while the rice wine ice cream was sweet with a subtle aroma and a fun rice grain texture. Overall, I preferred the sake lees ice cream for its refreshing taste. I look forward to trying the popular sake ice creams with higher alcohol content on my next visit, perhaps as a dessert after a meal.

I visited a new facility at Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit which houses a specialty store selling sake ice cream on the first floor. It just opened this year and I was curious to try it out. I purchased the sake ice cream made with Yuki no Bijin sake. They also have other sake brands like Otokoyama lined up. Inside the store, there are benches where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. When I took a bite, the rich aroma of sake spread in my mouth. There was a hint of alcohol, reminding me that I was indeed eating sake. I felt that this store fit perfectly with Yanmar's theme of rice.

This is a shop located in Yanmar Building, directly connected to the Yaesu Underground Shopping Mall at Tokyo Station. The word "sake ice" caught my attention, so I decided to visit for the first time. They offer non-alcoholic options as well. You can choose from single, double, or triple scoops, and I chose the triple scoop. I had Junmai Yuzu Lemon Sake (top left), pink rice flour ice cream (bottom), and Junmai Sake from the Muromachi era (top right) that was featured on TV the day before. First, the Junmai Yuzu Lemon Sake. It was very soft and had a distinct sake flavor. I can't drink alcohol, but I thought I could try it with ice cream. As expected, it gave me the sensation of being slightly tipsy, so those who are sensitive to alcohol should be cautious. However, I could also taste the sweetness of the rice, which was great. The Yuzu Lemon Sake had a slight bitterness from the lemon. The texture was firm. Personally, I liked the non-alcoholic rice flour ice cream the best! It uses red glutinous rice flour and no artificial coloring. The ice cream had a unique texture, similar to bread, with the roughness of the rice flour still present. Each scoop is quite large, so if you choose the triple scoop, it's better to share. I felt quite full after eating it alone! Inside the shop, there are three simple chairs and monuments where you can sit around. They also sell ice cream for takeout, with different flavors than the ones for eating in. Starting from February, they will also sell sake. The building where SAKE ICE is located is the Yanmar Building, a heavy machinery manufacturer specializing in rice-related equipment. Inside the building, there are Italian restaurants that use rice, a market with specialty products from various regions, and an exhibition corner where children can enjoy. Whether with your family or just adults, you can have a great time here! Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy a little trip related to rice at Tokyo Station! Menu I tried that day/favorites: - Ice Cream/Triple 900 yen - Oki Homare Junmai Sake from the Muromachi era ALC. 4.5% - Junmai Yuzu Lemon Sake ALC. 3% - Pink Rice Flour Ice Cream ALC. free [Business Hours] 11:00-18:00 [Closed] Unknown [Reservation] Not available [Budget] Up to 1,000 yen [Address] 1F Yanmar Tokyo Building, 2-1-1 Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Tokyo Thank you for reading until the end. Likes and follows are appreciated! I also post gourmet content on Instagram, so please check it out: @mogu.gourmet #TokyoGourmet #TokyoStationGourmet #Yanmar

First Visit 202301 (No.4175) 1. Purpose of Visit - Check out the restaurant & shop inside 【YANMAR TOKYO】, which opened on January 13, 2023. 2. Store Information - Genre on Tabelog: Ice Cream - Opened on January 13, 2023 - A shop that pursues the potential of new rice consumption such as "sake," "sake rice," and "rice flour," and sells ice cream incorporating carefully selected Japanese sake. - Developing products in collaboration with sake breweries nationwide, providing an opportunity to experience Japanese sake culture through the familiar dessert of ice cream. - Business hours: 11:00-18:00? - Closed on days according to the facility - There are chairs for about 2 people & benches in the facility nearby! 3. Crowdedness on the Day - Visited around 12:10 on a weekday, with no previous or subsequent customers. 4. Order Items - Sake Ice Cream (Otokoyama) 550 yen There are non-alcoholic options available, but I ordered the above product as it is a special occasion. (´;ω;`) This ice cream uses Otokoyama sake from Asahikawa, Hokkaido, providing a sharp taste and refreshing aroma. It is a delicious product. Unlike conventional sake lees ice cream or ice cream with a small amount of alcohol (less than 1%), this ice cream uses plenty of sake, with an alcohol content of about 4%. It won't make you drunk even if you finish it, but it's an ice cream for adults that will make your body feel warm and cozy~♬ Thank you for the meal. [Pre. 05]

My husband, who cannot drink alcohol due to his constitution, happened to find and buy this for me. I like both alcohol and ice cream, but I didn't think they needed to be combined until I tried this. With an alcohol content of 3.5%, it definitely tastes like alcohol when you eat it. The normal flavor is delicious, but the chocolate and yuzu combination is outstanding. I want to bring it to gatherings with my friends who love alcohol.
