The second stop in Hakata at night is Gyoza Lee, one of the top 100 gyoza restaurants in Hakata. Despite the lack of foot traffic in the alley before 9:00 PM, I was surprised to see a line of 7-8 people waiting. It seems that the restaurant was featured on TV, and it's no wonder that many customers return due to the delicious food. After a 25-minute wait, I was seated at the counter near the entrance. The restaurant had a counter on the left side, four-person tables on the right, and a spacious dining area with lively tables further inside. The kitchen was bustling with 7-8 chefs working efficiently, and there were 4-5 staff members providing excellent service. I ordered a bottle of beer for 680 yen, 8 pieces of pan-fried gyoza for 680 yen, and decided to try the special soup gyoza with 8 pieces for 950 yen. The appetizers, including tofu and spicy pickled radish, were served promptly and complemented the beer well. The jumbo pan-fried gyoza arrived after a short wait, and they were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, bursting with flavor. The quality of the gyoza was exceptional for the price of 680 yen for 8 pieces. The main dish, soup gyoza, was beautifully presented in a bowl of Chinese soup with 6 gyoza floating on top and 2 more at the bottom. The complex flavors of the soup paired perfectly with the plump and juicy gyoza. Each bite was a delight, especially when dipped in the gyoza sauce. Overall, the three dishes I tried were all delicious and left me thoroughly satisfied. This restaurant is a must-visit for gyoza lovers in Fukuoka.

I visited a popular restaurant that was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants! It was a Sunday, but I went after 5 pm so I was able to get in without waiting. The dumplings were large and satisfying. I ordered both the pan-fried dumplings and the recommended boiled dumplings, and both were delicious. The shrimp fried rice was also very filling and satisfying. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere reminiscent of a local Chinese eatery, and all the other menu items looked delicious too. I definitely want to go back again!

I visited at 19:30 and there was a long line. It is recommended to make a reservation for groups of 4 or more. I had made a reservation so I could enter without waiting in line. The shrimp and egg rice bowl was the most delicious in my opinion! The shrimp was large and the egg was fluffy. The dishes we ordered were: green pepper and pork stir-fry, shrimp and cashew nut stir-fry, mapo tofu (spicy), pickled mustard greens (has a strong Chinese flavor), pork loin tempura, famous pan-fried dumplings (very large and full of filling), boiled dumplings (chewy), hot and sour soup (a divisive taste, I liked it but others didn't), crispy spring rolls, and fried rice. We were very full by the end of the meal! Thank you for the meal.

"Gyoza," "steamed dumplings," "xiaolongbao," "mapo tofu," "sweet and sour pork," "dan dan noodles" all hit the spot for my hungry stomach after the festival. The gyoza and steamed dumplings were surprisingly large and satisfying. The xiaolongbao were juicy and delicious. I loved the numbing and rich flavor of the mapo tofu. The dan dan noodles with sesame and chewy noodles were also a favorite. This Chinese restaurant, with its authentic flavors, made me feel like I was traveling abroad with every bite.

Gyoza, whether pan-fried or boiled, has thick and sweet skins that are very satisfying and delicious. The filling is light and you can eat as many as you want because of their size. It's the best gyoza I've had. Today, I also ordered mapo tofu and stir-fried bean sprouts with dried shrimp. The mapo tofu is also amazing. Gyoza is a must-try in Fukuoka. I took the leftover gyoza home with me.

Gyoza restaurant in Hakata. Visited around 13:30 on a weekday. No line. Was seated at the counter as there was a seat available every other. Asked to order through QR code, but many customers still ordered verbally before receiving the QR code. However, it was okay as they made sure to reflect it on the QR code during payment. Ordered the pan-fried gyoza lunch set. The lunch set was available, but ordered a la carte. Water was provided with a shared pot on the table, so you can refill yourself after the first cup. Gyoza arrived in about 15 minutes. Huge! Is this a single serving? It's at least double the size of regular gyoza. Ate 4 and thought about taking the remaining 4 home. Asked if takeout was possible, and the staff brought a bag, rubber band, and food container. "That'll be 20 yen." Seems there's a 20 yen fee for the takeout container. Paid at the register with the QR code. "700 yen please." The takeout fee was immediately added to the QR code. The gyoza was filled generously with plenty of meat. The toothpick holder had a cute retro panda design.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:25 in anticipation of the 11:30 opening time. There were already about 40-50 people in line, which made me hesitate, but since the restaurant seemed spacious, I decided to wait in line hoping to be seated on the first round after opening. As expected, I was able to be seated on the first round after the 11:30 opening. I ordered pan-fried dumplings, soup dumplings, fried rice, and Qingdao beer. Personally, I recommend the pan-fried dumplings. Even one serving is quite filling, so please be aware when placing your order.

I headed straight to Ramen Kobo Naka-san from the airport on my rare visit back home, but unfortunately they were closed. So I decided to come to this place instead. When I arrived, there were 7-8 people waiting in line, and I didn't feel like waiting in this scorching heat. But the line moved quickly and I was able to enter the restaurant in about 7-8 minutes. This place operates with a QR code system where each person orders individually. I decided to try their famous gyoza and fried rice, which cost around 1500 yen. The kitchen seemed to be staffed with people from China, and they were quietly cooking away. The dirty range hood bothered me a bit, but I guess it's to be expected. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the fried rice arrived, followed shortly by the gyoza. The fried rice was served on the same plate as the gyoza, which seems to be a common style in Kyushu. The taste was very ordinary, similar to the fried rice my mother used to make when I was a child. It had ham, egg, green onions, and carrots, and was cooked with less oil, giving it a sticky texture rather than a fluffy one. It was a familiar taste, but lacked that professional touch. The gyoza had a thick skin with crispy wings, similar to the white gyoza found in the Kanto region. However, the portion was quite large with 8 pieces per serving, making it a bit difficult to finish alone. I don't think this place is a top-notch restaurant, but the gyoza is decent. It would be more enjoyable to come with a few people and try a variety of dishes.

I visited the restaurant for lunch during the Obon holiday. Normally, there is a long line, but because of the holiday, it was easy to get inside. I ordered the Gyoza set meal and pickled vegetables using the touch panel. The gyoza was delicious as always. I didn't have high expectations for the pickled vegetables, but they were surprisingly tasty.

A friend recommended a place in Hakata where you can eat delicious gyoza. I visited the restaurant on a Sunday during the Obon period around 7:30 pm. There were 3 groups of customers already seated, and I had to wait for about 20 minutes before being seated. The restaurant uses a system where you can order through a QR code with your smartphone. I ordered the "Grilled Gyoza: 680 yen per serving" and "Shrimp and Lettuce Fried Rice: 950 yen". The fried rice arrived in less than 10 minutes and had a taste reminiscent of authentic Chinese cuisine. Personally, I found the fried rice a bit lacking in flavor and not as fluffy as I would have liked. The gyoza arrived next, and I was surprised by the size of each dumpling, which made me wonder if I could finish them all. Although I initially thought the price of 680 yen per serving was a bit high, the size of the gyoza justified it. The gyoza was delicious, with juicy meat filling and a satisfying amount of ingredients. I realized that this restaurant focuses on gyoza as its main dish. I went alone this time, but if you plan to visit other places afterwards, just one serving of gyoza with a beer would be enough to satisfy you. The fried rice was a bit too much for one person.

I went to the restaurant by myself about an hour before closing, but it was still full. I tried the mapo tofu, which is a must-have at a Chinese restaurant, but it wasn't as numbingly spicy as I expected. It was easy to eat, even for kids, but I personally wished it had a bit more kick to it. The dumplings were amazing, both the pan-fried and boiled ones. The handmade dumpling skin was chewy yet flavorful, and the filling was packed full. Eating both by myself was quite a challenge due to the generous portions. Both were delicious, but I personally preferred the pan-fried ones.

The restaurant that has been frequently featured in the media. I thought it might have calmed down by now, but decided to take a chance before it's too late. Fortunately, I was able to avoid the crowded times and got seated without waiting in line. Ordering was supposed to be done through a QR code, but it didn't work, so a staff member came to take our order. In busy restaurants like this, ordering through QR codes is definitely beneficial for both the restaurant and the customers. However, even though I understand it, I'm still not used to it! It will probably become the norm eventually. Now, after about a 10-minute wait, it's time to eat. The first thing that surprised me was the size of the dumplings. Is it just me who thinks that this large dumplings x 8 with this amount of rice is unbalanced? You can always get more rice, though. As for the taste, the filling was packed with a good balance, and the flavor was surprisingly refreshing with a strong ginger taste. The crispy sear on the dumplings and the chewy texture inside were satisfying. The menu is extensive, and I confirmed that they have the bottle of shochu that I was curious about, so I'm looking forward to the next night of drinking.

Today I had twice-cooked pork. Of course, I also had dumplings. The dish was full of ingredients and spicy, with thinly sliced pork belly giving a unique texture to the dish. I prefer the type of twice-cooked pork with thick slices of tender, braised pork. Overall, it may not be able to compete with Ni Hao Pon You, but it was delicious!

Overwhelmingly popular. The gyoza here. I stayed at a ryokan near this restaurant, close to Yakuin Station, so I searched on Tabelog and found that this place had very good reviews, so I decided to visit. I arrived around 6 pm on a weekday, and there were two groups waiting in line. I was prepared for some crowds, but since it's a popular spot, I thought it was to be expected. Surprisingly, we were able to enter right after the two groups in front of us. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, near the washing area. It wasn't a special seat, but I was surprised to see that this place was quite long and had a lot of seating. Of course, we came for the gyoza, so we ordered three types: pan-fried, boiled, and deep-fried. The recommended dish here seems to be the boiled gyoza, but let's see the differences. Each dish was served with 8 pieces. And they were huge! Since there were three of us, I thought we could order another dish after each of us had a plate, but I was wrong. It was a good decision to just stick with the gyoza order. The gyoza skins were chewy and filled with a generous amount of filling. The pan-fried gyoza had a crispy texture, the boiled gyoza was even chewier, and the deep-fried gyoza was crunchy, each showcasing their unique qualities. Honestly, it's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the pan-fried gyoza. However, all of them were undeniably delicious. The recommendation really comes down to personal preference. Given the deliciousness of the gyoza, it's no wonder it's so popular. Perhaps due to its location, there were many salarymen coming in after work, giving off a casual izakaya vibe. If I had a workplace nearby, I would definitely become a regular. Even if I'm far away, I would love to visit again for these delicious gyoza. Thank you for the meal!

"Gyoza Li" in Fukuoka City Chuo Ward, Yakuin. Gyoza Li is a popular gyoza specialty store that has been loved by locals for many years. Recently, it has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog, attracting both locals and tourists. The lunch hours can get crowded, so I visited after 1:30 pm to avoid the lines. The charm of this place lies in the delicious and generous portions of gyoza you can enjoy. The gyoza at Gyoza Li is handmade daily with a focus on quality and taste. The skin is chewy, and the filling is juicy and flavorful, made with carefully selected vegetables and pork. The popular gyoza menu item is the "Yaki Gyoza" - a large gyoza with a crispy exterior and juicy filling. Other gyoza dishes I tried included the Vegetable Gyoza, Soup Water Gyoza, and Shrimp and Lettuce Fried Rice, all of which were delicious and satisfying. The menu also offers a variety of noodle dishes and classic Chinese dishes like Mapo Tofu and Fried Rice. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food. The atmosphere inside is simple yet cozy, with counter and table seating suitable for individuals or families. The staff, many of whom are from Chinese-speaking countries, provide friendly service, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Gyoza Li is a popular restaurant known for its authentic, homemade dishes and welcoming atmosphere. If you ever visit Fukuoka, be sure to stop by and try their delicious gyoza. Enjoy!"

On Sunday afternoon, even though it was 10 minutes before opening, there was a line. They don't have lunch sets, so I ordered tantanmen and xiaolongbao separately. The xiaolongbao arrived first, with thick skin and juicy meat inside. The black vinegar soy sauce was delicious! The tantanmen was tasty, but I feel like it had more sesame flavor before. It's a better deal to visit on weekdays when they serve rice.

I made a reservation and entered the restaurant at night. Reservations are a must! People without reservations were lined up outside. I also had water dumplings and xiaolongbao, but I don't have a photo. The dumplings were thick, juicy, and huge! No wonder people line up for them. The stir-fried squid was quite spicy, so if you can't handle spicy food, you might want to avoid it. Anyway, the alcohol goes down smoothly.

When it comes to gyoza in Fukuoka, this place is the best. Their boiled and pan-fried gyoza are both big and delicious. In my opinion, this place is the only one that surpasses Gyoza no Ohsho. Today, I visited with a friend from another prefecture. The dishes other than gyoza were also very delicious, and my friend was satisfied.

We went on Sunday at noon during the middle of the three-day weekend. The last order was at 2:30, and since we arrived before 2 o'clock, we were able to be seated without waiting as the peak time had passed. The gyoza is famous, but to be honest, other menu items were more delicious and impressive. The cost performance was also excellent! Thank you for the meal.

Around 13:10, the restaurant was about 70% full. I was seated at a counter seat towards the back and saw the person next to me order the gyoza set meal, which I thought was for two people but turns out it's actually for one person. I ordered one serving of gyoza. It took about 19 minutes for the food to be served. The gyoza was large and difficult to eat, but the juicy filling was impressive. The gyoza soy sauce was a bit weak. I paid 680 yen in cash and decided to go to the convenience store.

This is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy delicious grilled dumplings and boiled dumplings with firm skins that really fill you up. The xiaolongbao, mapo tofu, fried rice, and I forgot to take a picture but the sweet and sour pork and lettuce wraps with minced meat were also very tasty. The minced meat with celery inside was refreshing.
