Overwhelmingly popular. The gyoza here. I stayed at a ryokan near this restaurant, close to Yakuin Station, so I searched on Tabelog and found that this place had very good reviews, so I decided to visit. I arrived around 6 pm on a weekday, and there were two groups waiting in line. I was prepared for some crowds, but since it's a popular spot, I thought it was to be expected. Surprisingly, we were able to enter right after the two groups in front of us. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, near the washing area. It wasn't a special seat, but I was surprised to see that this place was quite long and had a lot of seating. Of course, we came for the gyoza, so we ordered three types: pan-fried, boiled, and deep-fried. The recommended dish here seems to be the boiled gyoza, but let's see the differences. Each dish was served with 8 pieces. And they were huge! Since there were three of us, I thought we could order another dish after each of us had a plate, but I was wrong. It was a good decision to just stick with the gyoza order. The gyoza skins were chewy and filled with a generous amount of filling. The pan-fried gyoza had a crispy texture, the boiled gyoza was even chewier, and the deep-fried gyoza was crunchy, each showcasing their unique qualities. Honestly, it's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the pan-fried gyoza. However, all of them were undeniably delicious. The recommendation really comes down to personal preference. Given the deliciousness of the gyoza, it's no wonder it's so popular. Perhaps due to its location, there were many salarymen coming in after work, giving off a casual izakaya vibe. If I had a workplace nearby, I would definitely become a regular. Even if I'm far away, I would love to visit again for these delicious gyoza. Thank you for the meal!
