Cheap and delicious is the image of Shinbashi, but in reality, there are only a few good restaurants, and it's hard to get into popular ones. Therefore, I hadn't really explored much just passing through every day, but I thought maybe now is the time to explore? So I decided to visit "Kamiya" here. I arrived at the restaurant around 6 pm on a Monday, and as expected, there were seats available. The interior of the restaurant consists of a counter surrounding a central grill and four-person tables on both sides. Both the counter and tables are extremely narrow, and you have to drink shoulder to shoulder. The tables are so small that they have squeezed four chairs onto a two-person size table. It truly feels like a Showa-era drinking establishment. This is the essence of Shinbashi, I suppose. *Please note that there is no space for storing belongings or hanging clothes. ■Otoshi: A small serving of pickled Chinese cabbage for a flat rate of 100 yen (laughs) ■Motsuyaki (grilled offal): One type of skewer, a set of 5, with a rule of at least 10 skewers per person. I couldn't decide, so they prepared it for me with either sauce or salt. Each skewer is small but tender without any unpleasant smell. The liver is excellent. ■Tsukune (chicken meatballs) (salt/sauce): At 200 yen per skewer, it may seem expensive here, but they are soft and homemade, making them delicious. You can't go wrong with salt or sauce. ■Chicken sashimi: There is also gizzard and heart, a sign of freshness. ■Drinks: Only bottled beer (large) is available. Hoppy is only available in white. ■Potato salad (curry flavor): Sold out! Apparently popular, so it should have been ordered first. *Today's recommendation was tsukune (salt), but maybe I should have tried the liver yakitori. The clientele consists mostly of solo or pairs quietly enjoying their drinks, so the turnover is fast. Even with a large group, it doesn't feel rowdy, and tables are vacated within 2 hours, which is nice. Unfortunately, the cramped and dirty space can't be helped, but I thought it's not a bad idea to enjoy Shinbashi before it completely changes into a different town. <Remarks> Rating at this time: 3.50 Truly a good restaurant with cheap, delicious food and tasty drinks. Thank you for the meal.

A popular yakitori restaurant where you have to eat at least 10 skewers per person, making it challenging. They don't allow customers to order more than necessary. The staff are friendly and all the skewers are delicious. It was a fun restaurant.

It is located a little off the central area of Shinbashi. The shop is old and small inside, but very lively. The atmosphere is like a Showa-era izakaya. It is a restaurant specializing in grilled and raw beef tripe, where chopsticks are not provided. Dishes like raw beef tripe and beef tendon are eaten on skewers. Two skewers are served per person. There is a note to order 10 skewers per person, and the individual menu comes in sets of 5 skewers. Each skewer is small, so it's easy to order 10 skewers quickly. You can choose from salt, sauce, or garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is quite spicy, with grated garlic added to the sauce. The grilled liver paste with sesame salt was very delicious, tender with no smell. The raw chicken breast sashimi was also delicious. The spring onion with sauce had a gentle flavor and was tasty. The other skewers were average, but easy to eat due to their small size. The drink options include Kirin Lager in large bottles as there is no draft beer. Drinking from a glass matches the atmosphere. The lemon highball had a slight smell. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, with tasty menu options, but there were some concerns about hygiene.

Chocolate and Yorimichi Shimbashi area. It's about a 10-minute walk from Shimbashi Station, right next to Menya Shuko. Last time, while waiting in line at Menya Shuko, I smelled the amazing aroma of charcoal-grilled hormone and it looked so delicious. Today, I had the perfect timing to visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like the grilled meat area near Tsuruhashi Station in Osaka, with lots of smoke! They adjust the fire around the charcoal grill with a kettle on top of a shichirin. There is a large ceramic charcoal stove near the entrance of the restaurant, with added charcoal and fire adjustment. Today, I enjoyed the first half on the terrace and the second half inside the restaurant. I had a hormone assortment of 10 pieces for 800 yen, grilled beef intestines for 500 yen, and oolong tea for 300 yen, along with pickles (appetizer) for 100 yen. Before the grilled items were ready, I had the grilled beef intestines. It was crispy, without any odor, with plenty of chopped green onions and soy sauce, delicious (with garlic). I drank oolong tea. The assortment came in sets of 5 pieces each, with heart, stomach, liver, small intestine, and cartilage served first, sprinkled with shichimi pepper. The liver was cooked perfectly! Just when I thought I was satisfied, another 5 pieces arrived! Heart, tongue, skin, green onions, and gizzard - a parade of different textures! All this for 800 yen for 10 pieces is great. They also served pickles twice as an appetizer. First, pickled Chinese cabbage, and then pickled cucumber. Originally, it was supposed to be served once (I ate too quickly and they gave me a second serving as a bonus). I'm really satisfied, it was great. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant on a regular night. It is located about a 2-3 minute walk from Shinbashi Station. It was almost full at 6 pm. I ordered the following: "Raw beef intestines" for 500 yen, "Grilled offal skewers (chicken leeks, tongue, liver)" for 400 yen for 5 skewers (1 plate), "Hoppy" for 420 yen x 3. The offal skewers were priced at 400 yen for 5 skewers, which is a great deal. The grilling was done well and they were delicious. The liver was especially tasty with the perfect level of doneness. Each skewer was small, so it would be difficult for one person to try multiple types. Today, there were two of us, so we ordered three different types and shared them. The raw beef intestines had plenty of green onions on top and tasted great with soy sauce. It was light and had a good chewy texture. When eating, there were no disposable chopsticks, so we used the skewers from the grilled skewers. Thank you for the meal.

"Kamiya", a popular motsuyaki restaurant with about 8 locations in Tokyo, is located in a back alley about a 2-minute walk from Shimbashi Station, Ueno Exit. The exterior exudes a nostalgic Showa-era vibe, while the interior is filled with vintage tables and chairs. The seating consists of asymmetrical counter seats on the left and tables on the right, with a total capacity of around 6 to 8 seats at the counter and 3 tables for 4 on the right. The menu focuses on motsuyaki and yakitori, with options for salt, sauce, or garlic sauce flavors. The recommended platter of 10 skewers is a popular choice, and ordering individual skewers can result in a large quantity. The atmosphere is lively, filled with salarymen, and the service is quick. The skewers, including hinanegi, kasira, and skin, are flavorful with a slightly sweet sauce that complements them well. The liver skewer with garlic is almost rare and melts in the mouth, while the juicy kasira skewer is full of meaty flavor. Overall, the experience at Kamiya in Shimbashi was satisfying, with a good atmosphere and delicious food. It is recommended to visit early as popular items tend to sell out quickly. [Menu] - Recommended platter (10 skewers): 800 yen - Liver skewer (garlic): 500 yen - Kasira skewer (garlic): 500 yen

I went to the sacred place for salarymen, Shinbashi♪( ´▽`) I decided to visit a popular restaurant called Kamiya that I wanted to try. I made a reservation for 19:00, but it was already full and there were people lining up outside. Amazing. They don't serve draft beer, so I had a bottled Kirin beer instead! It's been a while since I had Kirin, but it was delicious. The skewers are around 400 yen for a basic set of 5. Cheap!! However, they tend to sell out quickly because the place is always crowded. We ordered the chef's choice of salt and sauce skewers, beef intestine sashimi, raw liver, and thick fried tofu. Be careful as they don't provide chopsticks or small plates. You eat with toothpicks. The restaurant has a strong Showa era vibe, but the food is really good. It may not be popular among women, but it's definitely worth a visit.

This place really gets crowded. We were lucky to get a table since we arrived early. The food is served on skewers. It takes a bit of getting used to. Hoppy and grilled tripe go really well together! Thank you for the meal!

This is a restaurant with a true Shinbashi atmosphere. It's perfect for salarymen to enjoy a drink alone after work. You eat with bamboo skewers instead of chopsticks. I ordered the yakitori with garlic sauce, and it pairs perfectly with bottled beer or Hoppy. You can only order in sets of 10, but it's so delicious and easy to eat. The drinks keep flowing and I had a great time.

When you order a plate of green onions, they ask, "Do you want garlic or ginger?" I always choose ginger! The plate that comes out is just green onions. At first, I thought, "Hey, it's just green onions!" But it's actually really delicious. They serve it on a skewer, just the green onions, and it's very tasty.

This is a great motsunabe restaurant in Shinbashi with a fantastic atmosphere. I ordered a bottle of beer and chicken sashimi to start. Just a heads up, they don't provide chopsticks at this restaurant! You eat with the two skewers provided. The food was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of the skewers. It's the perfect place for motsunabe after work.

The liver at this long-standing restaurant is extremely rare and served with garlic and green onions! Delicious! This restaurant follows a no-chopstick policy! The pickles also come with skewers! The main branch is in Ningyocho and was established in 1940! Amazing! I would love to visit Ningyocho too!

During my time working in Shinbashi, I used to visit this place at least twice a week. I was able to stop by again after two years on a business trip. My go-to drink here is a bottled lemon sour with grilled pork guts skewers. I always order the grilled pork cheeks with salt and sand liver with salt. The skewers here come in sets of 5, each one about the size of my index finger, and cost 80 yen each. I usually eat around 15 skewers. I finish my drink in about 40 minutes and pay the bill. This place is perfect for solo drinking, with juicy grilled pork cheeks that are so good you can keep eating them. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the long-established motsu-yaki restaurant, Kamiya, in Shinbashi. The interior was already full, so we sat outside. Since it was my first time, I asked them to recommend something, and they suggested the sauce. It was delicious, and we also had some salt. We enjoyed the food and drinks, and with three people, the total bill was only 7000 yen with change. It's so cheap! I can't believe such a wonderful restaurant exists in Shinbashi. I definitely want to come back again. Follow me on Instagram @mynamestsukasa!

In the middle, there is a counter surrounding the grill in this small restaurant. You pick up the pickled vegetables with a toothpick, and the small chicken skin skewers are served in sets of 5. They are probably about 2/3 the size of standard yakitori, with a good crispy and chewy texture and just the right amount of salt. The tsukune (meatball) is served in sets of 2, with a fluffy yet firm texture and a good sauce coating. It's just the right amount to go with a glass of Hoppy. The refined yakitori in Shinbashi is delicious. Total cost for Hoppy, tsukune, and chicken skin is around 1700 yen.Visited on Friday around 6:30 PM. I have visited multiple times.

I visited a place to enjoy some quick and delicious grilled skewers. The shop requires ordering at least 10 skewers per person (equivalent to 2 servings of 5 skewers each), but the skewers are small so it's not a problem. Here are the dishes I tried: - Liver grilled with ginger: The liver was tender and delicious, with a hint of sweetness. I couldn't taste the ginger much, so I added a bit of soy sauce from the table. - Cow's stomach sashimi with ginger: You can choose between garlic and ginger, and I chose ginger. This dish didn't leave a strong impression on me, it was relatively refreshing. - Recommended assorted skewers: I opted for half with sauce and half with garlic sauce. There was no explanation of which part was which, but all of them were delicious. The texture of the skin and the white parts were particularly impressive. I enjoyed various parts like the juicy head, the refreshing stomach, etc. The garlic sauce had a strong garlic flavor, but it was punchy and to my liking. I also had two lemon highballs. If you visit, make sure to come on an empty stomach and try their individual skewers, each serving comes with 5 pieces. I will definitely visit again to meet the liver.

When I crave for fresh liver, I visit this place. Even though it's a bit early, around 5 pm, the seats are already half full. They don't provide chopsticks, so we eat the appetizers like pickles on skewers. - Liver grilled with ginger: The liver is tender and delicious with a hint of sweetness, especially with the ginger flavor. - Chicken tenderloin skewers: Fresh and refreshing, very tasty. - Pork cheek grilled with ginger: Quite juicy and flavorful. - Lemon highball with extra refillable option: Generous amount in the glass, which is great. Each plate comes with 5 skewers, so you need to order at least 10 skewers per person. It might seem like a lot, but since the skewers are small, it's easy to finish. I personally like ordering individual skewers, but they also offer assorted platters if you want to try a variety. I'll definitely come back when I crave for liver again.

I was intrigued by the stylish appearance of this motsunabe (offal hot pot) restaurant. It mainly has counter seating, but there are also table seats available. You have to order at least 10 skewers per person, but they are small so as long as you're not a light eater, it should be fine. Recommended assorted skewers for 800 yen were served in two rounds. There was no explanation, so please take the contents as a reference: - Hinanegi x2, Kobukuro, Gatsu, Liver Hinanegi was soft and easy to eat with crunchy green onions. Kobukuro had a slightly strong smell (which might be due to not being used to it), but Gatsu and Liver were delicious. The liver was cooked to a firm texture. - Nankotsu, Tongue, Head meat, Skin, ? The crunchy nankotsu, juicy tongue and head meat, and tender skin were all tasty. Liver yakitori was very rare and creamy. It was delicious without any unpleasant smell! Highly recommended for those who like rare liver. They mainly have motsunabe dishes, so it's a great place to go when you're in the mood for some motsunabe. Especially, the liver yakitori was my personal favorite! They offer lemon sour for 390 yen with a refill for 300 yen.

I visited a year-end party quietly with a friend. Although it seems to be a popular restaurant, we were able to enter smoothly without a reservation due to the influence of the coronavirus. The atmosphere at the counter in a U-shape is nice. They only serve bottled beer, no draft. That's fine with us. We left the selection of skewers to the chef, and while the taste was delicious, the portions were a bit small and left us feeling a bit lonely. But they had a good lineup of dishes like grilled guts and chicken breast skewers, which would satisfy those who love offal. The staff and customers are close, so the service is attentive. Thank you for the meal.

I was intrigued by the appearance and the bustling atmosphere, so I decided to enter the restaurant. I noticed that the menu was set at 5 skewers per set, with a minimum order of 10 skewers per person, which seemed a bit strict. It could be challenging if you visit with a full stomach. The grilled liver skewers were lightly seared on the outside and had a nice firm texture, indicating good freshness. The grilled pig's head skewers were crunchy and delicious. They didn't provide chopsticks, so everyone used their skewers as makeshift chopsticks. It was quite difficult to eat with them, so it might be a good idea to bring your own chopsticks.

After having some free time around 4:00 pm in Shinbashi, I decided to have a drink and went looking for a motsu-yaki (offal skewers) restaurant. I passed by several motsu-yaki restaurants in the SL Square area, but none caught my attention. As I walked towards the south from the Karasumori entrance, I started getting approached by touts more frequently. Still not finding the right place, I continued walking and suddenly spotted the sign for Kamiya-san across the road where the cluster of shops ended. I remembered Kamiya-san from Kabukicho in Shinjuku. I had never been to the one in Shinbashi before, so I decided to give it a try. The entrance was not visible from the main road, so I had to go around the sign into a narrow alley to reach the restaurant. The counter-only interior seemed quite crowded. I ordered a Hoppy drink and was asked by the staff if I wanted ice in my glass, but due to a transparent vinyl sheet separating the counter from the outside, I couldn't hear clearly. Remembering Kamiya-san's system, I ordered 5 skewers at a time, with a goal of 10 skewers per person. The skewers were small, so I wondered if I could finish them in 30 minutes. They were served quickly, and I enjoyed the salt-seasoned skewers of gizzard, chicken head, baby leek, cartilage, and chicken skin. They were all delicious. The meat was expertly cut and beautifully skewered. Next, I ordered 5 skewers of offal in salt seasoning, which were tender and easy to eat. The offal was so soft that even those with dental issues could enjoy it. Kamiya-san in Shinbashi sets a high standard. I look forward to revisiting when I have more time to spend there.
