In the end, I ended up staying overnight at a capsule hotel. It had been a while since I stayed at one, but it was surprisingly good as I could relax in the spacious bath and fell asleep quickly. The next day, after taking care of some errands, I headed to Meguro. Since it was a Sunday, not many Jiro ramen shops in the city center were open. It had been 9 years since I last visited Meguro Jiro. I went there on a Sunday afternoon and there was a long line, about a 1-hour wait. I ordered the Small Pork Double, Vegetable Garlic Oil ramen. The soup had a soy sauce base with a non-emulsified type, giving it a rich flavor. The noodles were on the smaller side, which is a characteristic of Meguro Jiro. Despite that, the portion was still generous. The noodles were firm and had a chewy texture. The vegetables were mainly bean sprouts, and the pork was in small, easy-to-eat pieces. The pork was not very fatty and slightly firm. For a double pork option, it didn't feel like there was a lot of meat. The price for the Small Pork Double was 700 yen, but the fact that the default price is 500 yen is amazing in this day and age. I respect the company's effort to not raise prices!

It's been a while since I had Meguji's small ramen. The noodles were normal, the oil was extra, and the vegetables were added. I felt like the portion was more modest than usual, but it actually made it easier to enjoy eating. Despite the rising costs of ingredients and utilities, I truly respect the owner of the Meguro shop for continuing to offer it for just one coin.

I visited around 1 pm on Saturday. I waited for about 30 minutes, but it went smoothly, so it felt short! I ordered the small size ramen with regular toppings. I like vegetables, so I thought about adding more veggies next time! The noodles had a good texture and were delicious!

I tried Jiro Ramen for the first time in my life! I heard about it on a Tokyo-style radio show, so I decided to give it a try. As a 22-year-old woman having Jiro Ramen for the first time, I ordered Ramen Small with half noodles, vegetables, and no garlic. Just a tip for those who are unsure about the portion size! When I placed my order, I made sure to mention that I wanted half noodles. I waited anxiously for my turn, feeling a bit nervous. When my turn finally came, I almost missed the timing because they took the order for my companion first. The taste and portion of the first Jiro Ramen experience were great! The meat was juicy and tender, which I loved. I prefer my noodles to be slightly firmer, so I enjoyed it. I could have eaten a bit more noodles, but that wasn't an option. I definitely want to go back again!

I have been to Meguro Jiro, where you can get a bowl of ramen for 500 yen. It's a great deal because you can eat it quickly. The line is always long, but the taste here is really strong. The handmade noodles have a unique twist and firmness, which sets it apart from other ramen places like Menya.

Visited alone at 14:04 on a regular day. There were 8 people waiting outside the shop. The turnover is good. Bought a small ramen for 500 yen from the vending machine. Took a seat at the far end of the right counter. Ordered half noodles at the same time and placed the ticket on the counter. They make 4 bowls at a time. Ordered vegetable and garlic. The ramen was served at 14:23. It has a good appearance. The noodles are unique, quite dark in color, and have a chewy texture. Delicious!!

Little Pig Ramen 600 yen, garlic light 22:10. There is a line of about 10 people outside, with a wait of about 20 minutes. The portion size is small, so the turnover rate is good. Despite the time, the line is still not ending, which is a sign of its popularity. The noodles are slightly firm and a bit thick. The flavor is punchy with a strong soy sauce taste that goes well with the garlic. The pork is mainly lean with a satisfying texture. There are small diced pork pieces in it, and if you add extra, it's quite a lot. All this for 600 yen is cheap.

Pork ramen with a price of 600 yen, first visit. There was a short line and the turnover was fast, so I got my order quickly. This amount for 600 yen in Meguro is too cheap. The noodles were firm and the pork was like canned pork. The soy sauce-based broth paired perfectly with the bean sprouts. Next time, I'll go for the large serving!

I revisited Ramen Jiro Meguro store. I arrived around 10:30 AM on a Saturday and found 6 customers already there. Surprisingly, it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. It was a cloudy day, so waiting wasn't too bad. The store owner, Wakabayashi, arrived around 10 minutes late with a serious expression. I bought a ticket for a small ramen and sat in the third seat on the right. The cooking process went smoothly, but when it was my turn, they boiled a large amount of noodles and set them aside during the noodle lifting process. I wonder if there's a reason for that. The amount of noodles and soup in the small ramen varied, and the noodles were quite firm. The soup was not as thick as before, and the vegetables were slightly crunchy. The pork was tender and delicious. Overall, the experience at Meguro Jiro was unique and may not be suitable for beginners due to its intense flavors and strict noodle cooking process. However, the affordable price of 500 yen for a small ramen and the unique taste make it worth a try for Jiro lovers. Thank you for the meal.

I lined up for about 30 minutes and entered the restaurant. I ordered the pork-filled ramen with extra vegetables, garlic, and fat. It was easy to eat and not too salty, just delicious. The portion was smaller than I expected, but overall it was a good meal. Thank you.

This is my second visit. I was prepared for a long line again, but I was able to enter in about an hour. I ordered the small pork ramen (600 yen) again. I admire that the price has remained the same in this time of high prices. This time, I added extra vegetables and oil, and it was a delightful encounter. The noodles were a bit soft, the soup was non-emulsified, and had a sharp taste. The addictive taste of Megujiro is irresistible!!

Arrived at around 10:07 am on a regular day. No line. If you line up by around 10:30 am, you should be able to make it for the first batch. Then, a long line formed suddenly around 10:45 am. The store opened at 11:03 am. Today, the noodles were a bit less, but there was more soup instead. They offer their dishes at a price that is hard to believe in this day and age, only 500 yen. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the always crowded Meguro Jiro. Even at 10 PM, there were about 20 people in line. I ordered the W Buta small ramen with extra toppings. Despite the extra toppings, the amount of vegetables was disappointingly low. The balance was off, so I didn't really need the extra pork. Maybe it's better to go with extra vegetables and just a single portion of pork.

I visited the restaurant by walking from Meguro Station. It was my first visit even though it's relatively close to my workplace! I ordered a small size with pork, which was only 600 yen. It's so wallet-friendly in these times. The photo shows the full mash. As rumored, the portion was just right, and I was able to finish it relatively quickly. And it was incredibly delicious! Full of flavor! I will definitely come back again. If I had one regret, it would be that the vegetables in the mash disappeared in an instant, so next time I might go for extra vegetables. Thank you for the meal!

4th visit. Arrived about 5 minutes before opening, but surprisingly there was not much of a line, only about 10 people waiting outside. Received my bowl about 25 minutes later. I ordered a small ramen with less garlic and extra vegetables. The non-emulsified soup at Meguro is one of my personal favorites. It's easy to see why even on weekdays there would be a line for this one-coin ramen. The pork was especially amazing on this day. It was so delicious that I almost drank too much of the soup, but I managed to stop myself and left the restaurant. It was fantastic.

On Thursday, August 24th, at 7:00 PM, there were 16 people waiting at the restaurant. I arrived at 7:40 PM and ordered a small bowl of pork ramen with vegetables, oil, and garlic. I bought black oolong tea at the nearby Family Mart. There were a few women also at the restaurant. I still had heartburn from the hangover, but I came to the restaurant to consume some salt.

Jiro's Meguro branch. The line was as usual, about 60 minutes. The taste was consistent, with a sharp soy sauce flavor in the soup. The noodles were firm, just the way I like them. It was an excellent bowl. The only thing that bothered me was that there was a little oil floating in the water cup, so I hope they update their washing machine.

I asked for the cheapest Jiro ramen shop and visited at 2:00 p.m. on a weekday. There were about 6 people waiting outside. I got in within 20 minutes. Looking at the ticket machine, small ramen was 500 yen and small pork ramen was 600 yen! In this day and age, being able to eat Jiro for one coin is too cheap. I ordered the small pork ramen. I asked for garlic and extra pork fat. Even though it was 600 yen, it came with a proper 4 slices of chashu, which was amazing. The taste was also strong. It was the best cost performance Jiro I've ever had. Thank you for the meal!

Now, from the Satei-chan Shokudo, we headed to Meguji for our second stop. It was the perfect timing. I can't remember the last time I came here, but according to my food log, it was in 2015. It's hard to believe it's been 8 years since I last visited. At Meguji, I ordered the pork ramen, which is still priced at 600 yen. The toppings included lots of slightly crunchy garlic, which was much appreciated. The noodles here are thicker and shorter compared to other Jiro-style ramen shops, giving them a chewy texture. I wonder if they have always been like this. Nevertheless, it adds to the unique taste of the ramen. The soup is rich and straightforward, with a non-emulsified style. It's still delicious as ever. After visiting two restaurants, my stomach was full. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went to Ramen Jiro Meguro in Meguro for ramen with my gourmet friends who also love Jiro. This store is the cheapest Jiro store in terms of ramen price (although the portion is smaller compared to other stores). It's amazing that in this day and age, a small ramen costs only 500 yen. The taste is delicious, so there is always a long line every day. When I visited around 7 pm on Friday, there were about 20 people in line. Despite the steady line, we were able to enter in about 45 minutes. I like places with good turnover. This time, I chose the small ramen with pork. It's a typical chashu noodle. I ordered all the toppings when asked before serving. The presentation was as beautiful as ever. Let's start eating without delay. First, the vegetables. The slightly crunchy vegetables may not be in large quantities, but they do their job well. They go really well with the fat. Delicious. The noodles are Jiro's famous firm noodles. I really like these noodles. They are so delicious. The soup is a non-emulsified soy sauce base. When you drink it, you can really feel that it's from Meguro. Personally, I prefer emulsified soup, but I really like Meguro's non-emulsified soup. The pork is tender. I felt like there was a lot of it this time. The slices are small, but there were plenty of them. And they were delicious. I just enjoyed it mindlessly. It was an excellent bowl of ramen. Meguro is strict about batch management, so for first-time visitors, it might be a good idea to practice eating quickly to be able to enjoy it.
