The restaurant's main menu is handmade dumplings, offering a good value lunch. The menu board features soup, zha cai, and mapo tofu, which may seem cheap but add to the charm. There seems to be a choice between steamed rice and fried rice on the menu. The dumplings have a good balance of filling and seasoning, making them easy to eat and versatile as a main dish or side dish. The mapo tofu has a noticeable "ma" (numbing) flavor but lacks depth of umami compared to a nearby Sichuan restaurant. The fried rice is a typical mix vegetable fried rice found in inexpensive Chinese restaurants, with a substantial portion but lacking in flavor compared to the dumplings. Overall, it may be better to opt for a meal set with single dishes. Also, by chance or not, today I could only hear Chinese around me, which added to the feeling of being out of place.

A Chinese restaurant that opened this year in the space previously occupied by Meigetsuro. The menu and pricing are similar, offering sets at a great value with generous portions, although the taste is average. A clear difference is their focus on dumplings, but unfortunately they were sold out today. The eggplant mapo tofu I ordered was as expected - a large portion with plenty of eggplant and minced meat. The soup was simple, and the rice was okay, but the main dish was satisfying. I still have homework to try their dumpling set next time. The ambiance has improved with cleaner tables and brighter lighting compared to the Meigetsuro days!
