We used the dinner omakase course for ¥9,000. What I liked the most was the attentive hospitality of the staff. It was a birthday celebration meal, and I was surprised by the high quality of the chocolate art. They also taught us about wine pairings, and since we were the last guests, the chef even saw us off. The food was delicious as well. There were some unusual ingredients, which made it enjoyable. I thought a little more quantity would have been nice, but maybe a slight feeling of wanting more is just right. I will definitely use this restaurant again.

Tokyo Metro Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station and Monzen-Nakacho Station are about a 10-minute walk away, near Cornan and Kotolipan, we went to KOKUSHO after about 2 years for lunch at 12:00 on a weekday. We had made a reservation for 12:00 opening time and sat at a table on the left side of the entrance. The interior of the restaurant is still beautiful with white as the main color and lovely photos displayed, bright and clean, with quiet jazz playing in the background. The lunch menu was a course priced at 2,290 yen including tax, which included homemade bread, today's appetizer, pasta, dessert, coffee, and a small sweet. For pasta, we could choose from options like small shrimp and nori tomato spaghetti (oil-based), various seafood paste with tomato-based spaghetti, and more. We were served a delicious mussel soup with green onions and a variety of appetizers like clams, mountain vegetable potato salad, eggplant gratin, sandfish, and pickles. The pasta was al dente and flavorful, and the tiramisu made with coffee beans from the popular café "Tokaku Café" was fluffy and sweet. The hot coffee and Kagoshima specialty caramel candy were also delicious. It had been a long time since I had seen my friend before the pandemic, so we had a great time chatting in the beautiful and delicious setting of KOKUSHO. I highly recommend this Italian lunch spot with a bright and clean interior and generous and delicious dishes! [KOKUSHO] Kiyosumi Shirakawa Lunch Pasta Set The appetizer is substantial with a bite-sized soup and a variety of vegetables and seafood, which is delightful. I like that the bread is drizzled with olive oil. The amount of pasta is just right, making me want more. The dessert is also satisfying, providing a complete and fulfilling dining experience.

I visited for the first time. Located about 3-4 minutes on foot from Kiyosumi Garden, it's not very noticeable, so you might not find it unless you know about it. It was clean and the service was very polite. The food was well-balanced overall, with colorful appetizers and high expectations for the following dishes. I chose a tomato sauce pasta for the main dish. The sauce was not too sour, it was gentle. The noodles were thin and slightly cooked al dente. The tiramisu dessert was very delicious. The chef served a local Kagoshima dish as a complimentary service. With coffee included, the price was just over 2000 yen, making it a very good value. I was told they have fried food at night, so I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant that I was curious about while exploring an art exhibition. I had a pasta lunch there. The photo shows a truffle and prosciutto cream pasta for 1800 yen + 1000 yen. It was my first time trying truffle, and my son was delighted. It's quietly located in a residential area, which is nice. My wife also said it was delicious.

On a holiday afternoon, my family and I were wandering around this area when we came across a sign for a restaurant that had caught my eye before but I had never tried. We decided to go in. The restaurant on the second floor was quite spacious and had a formal Italian atmosphere that was unexpected based on the exterior. Since it was late, we were the only customers. I was worried if it was okay to bring children, but the staff assured us with a smile that it was fine. Phew! *Note: There are no child seats or cutlery available. For lunch, we could choose between pasta or focaccia sandwich. We tried both the oil-based and tomato-based pasta dishes. We also ordered the soup of the day on the side, which was a daikon potage. The potage, salad, and bread (probably focaccia) arrived first. The salad was a mix of various fresh vegetables with a beautiful presentation. The crunchy texture and freshness of the vegetables were delightful. There was also a frittata-like omelette cut into squares, almost like an appetizer. The slightly larger crispy croutons were a hit with my child. The potage was very hot, so be careful. It had cheese on top, adding richness to the creamy vegetable soup. The gentle sweetness of the vegetables and the richness of the cheese were comforting and lingered on the palate. The bread soaked up the soup perfectly. The pasta dishes were both perfectly cooked, with the tomato-based one being my favorite. The tomato sauce was mild with a hint of acidity, making it refreshing. The base sauce had just the right amount of salt, enhancing the natural flavors of the ingredients. The pasta was well-coated in the sauce, creating a delicious combination. Although drinks were not included (maybe they are on weekdays?), I was overall satisfied with the quality of the ingredients and cooking techniques. The service was attentive, with staff refilling our water without us having to ask. The location may not be the best, but the unexpectedly good food makes it worth a visit. I will definitely go back again.

Located near a home improvement store, this restaurant may go unnoticed without Cotripan, but its Italian flavors are exquisite and never disappoint. The chef hails from Kagoshima, using unique ingredients like Sakurajima daikon, making the menu interesting.

Ms. Kami's student got married, and the newlyweds invited us to the restaurant "KOKUSHO". When we arrived, we found the restaurant nestled quietly in a residential area. The interior was clean and had a nice atmosphere with white tones. We started with a toast with beer and then enjoyed a beautifully arranged assortment of 7 appetizers, each with a sophisticated flavor that highlighted the natural taste of the ingredients. The fried bamboo shoots, gnocchi, sardine pasta, and truffle-topped pork sauté that followed were all delicious and satisfying. One notable aspect of this restaurant is its focus on the owner's hometown of Kagoshima, with a great selection of unique shochu. We tried the "Meiyamabori" shochu, which is apparently made by the local youth group in the owner's hometown. We enjoyed this rare sweet potato shochu with soda while savoring the delicious dishes. To top it off, we were served homemade karukan, which was also delicious. We finished our meal with coffee and left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied. It was a hidden gem where we could experience Kagoshima through Italian cuisine. It's a bit far, but we will definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

In a quiet residential area, there is a lovely restaurant. I went there on the recommendation of the owner, who I really like. They pay attention to the origin of each ingredient and cherish the taste of the ingredients themselves. The asparagus was delicious, with a perfect balance of tenderness and sweetness. The cutlet and tiramisu for dessert were also delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I would like to come back again soon.

Fashionable Italian is a restaurant located a short walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. It is situated in a quiet residential area. The interior of the restaurant, located up a flight of stairs, is very stylish and clean. It seems to be run by a couple. The service was extremely polite and we had a pleasant time throughout. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. It was a rare occasion where I could enjoy a leisurely and peaceful lunchtime. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely visit again.

The atmosphere of the location where local residents mainly access is soft and very nice, it's good that it's not pretentious. The casual taste exceeds expectations, using good vegetables and good meat. I've never written a review before, but I felt like I should write one for this place. It's a bit off the tourist spots, but if you have time, please go and try it out.

A hidden gem in a residential neighborhood. The Italian ingredients are all delicious, and the sauces and pastes I've never tried before add a new level of flavor. The chef and staff are on the younger side, but their service is perfectly balanced and welcoming. Thanks to its location, the prices are also reasonable. It was fantastic.

After a long time, I finally had a day off and decided to have dinner out. Since it was a holiday, there were not many places open, but I had been wanting to try this place for a while. I invited my brother too. It was a great restaurant.

There is a new Italian restaurant called Kiyosumi Ichi that opened in October 2017, recommended by a wine shop. The entrance has a huge Sakurajima daikon, which is quite surprising! The set menu is priced at 3500 yen and offers authentic flavors at a very reasonable price. While there are Italian and pizza restaurants like Kyugoro in Morishita, this place offers high-quality Italian cuisine that is hard to find nearby. The appetizers are plentiful and the focaccia bread is delicious. The wine is also reasonably priced, ranging from 3500 to 6500 yen per bottle. This time, I ordered a Barbaresco for 4500 yen and the Salsiccia and Capperi Tagliatelle, which reminded me of the delicious flavors of Carmine, a place I used to work at. The Gorgonzola Penne in a bento box has a wonderful aroma when opened, and both pasta dishes are cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of saltiness and texture. The dessert, espresso ice cream, was also amazing.
