Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit is located at the outskirts of the underground mall. I visited in the evening and there was no wait, but the spacious interior was crowded. I ordered an Aroma Blend for 500 yen. It was a delicious cup of coffee. If you're hungry, it's a good place to also order a sandwich. ^_^

I was wandering around on the surface wondering where it could be, but it turned out to be a quaint cafe in the underground city of Yaechika. It's a classic coffee shop with a constant stream of customers. Nostalgic music plays, giving it a retro vibe. On this day, I had a cafe au lait, but the breakfast and toast also looked delicious.

First visit. When looking for a place to have tea after eating at Tokyo Station, it was hard to find one... I was lucky to be able to enter this shop that I had been curious about for a while. I had a cola float, and my friend had melon soda and a milkshake. The retro atmosphere is nice and it's a calming shop.

At "Aroma Coffee" in the Yaesu Underground Shopping Area, I had a mocha and an open egg sandwich. It had been a while since I last visited Aroma Coffee. Despite being in the rapidly changing underground shopping area of Tokyo, it retains the nostalgic scent of a wonderful old-fashioned cafe. The open egg sandwich was so delicious, it was a delightful discovery. ❤️🍳[Aroma Coffee / Kyobashi Yaesu Underground Shopping Area]

Thursday, 10:05 AM. There were about 5 groups of customers already, more than last year. Then, what seemed like regulars and 6 ladies arrived, making the place busier. I stopped by during my health check again. If the health check location doesn't change, I'll probably come here every time. I ordered the Open Egg Sandwich and Aroma Blend set. I'm looking forward to the Open Egg Sandwich that I haven't had since December last year. 10:13 AM. The Aroma Blend has arrived. I thought it might be too bitter when hot, but it also had a hint of acidity. 10:20 AM. The Open Egg Sandwich has arrived. It looks amazing as always. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and it wobbles when you shake it. This time it wasn't too salty and was delicious! I was debating between this and the hot dog, but I'm glad I chose this. If there's a next time, I'll try the hot dog. As I finished eating, the Coffee Jelly arrived. At the same time, they asked if I wanted a refill of coffee. The Coffee Jelly is bitter but delicious. It comes with whipped cream and syrup on the side, so you can adjust the sweetness to your liking. Even though the place was almost full, the staff were calm and attentive. I've only been here 3 times, but my impression of the staff is always positive.

I was surprised before entering! It's spacious and very popular. There are many tourists, as well as business people having meetings and housewives chatting. The coffee they serve is rich and has a tangy flavor, which I really like! The lineup of toast and light snacks looked delicious! If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stop by.

Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and taste of Showa era at this café, which has been comforting business people since it opened in 1965. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the spirit of Tokyo's Yaesu salarymen. They serve coffee made with carefully selected beans, pizza toast, sandwiches, and the must-try item, the Dorayaki Hotcake! It's like a Dorayaki, with red bean paste and whipped cream sandwiched between hotcake layers and melted butter on top. It feels like experiencing history yet something new. I want to try all the items on the menu.

I visited around 4 pm in the evening, hoping to try their famous pudding and coffee, but unfortunately, the pudding was sold out. However, the coffee was delicious with a rich flavor, and the atmosphere of the shop was very relaxing, like a classic coffee shop where you can unwind.

After a yakitori restaurant drinking party, we had a second round at a cafe. I had a Vienna coffee, while the others had iced coffee. I wanted a hot drink, so I chose Vienna coffee. We also shared an open egg sandwich. The toast was thick and satisfying. The Vienna coffee had a cold cream part which I mixed while drinking. It was past 8 pm on a weekday, so there were hardly any people, allowing us to have a leisurely conversation. Thank you for the meal!

I visited before going to work♪ The place opens early in the morning, making it a good spot for people working around Yaesu. I arrived around 7:30 and it was almost full, quite busy. I was directed to a seat in the back, but it was a blind spot and the staff didn't come by often. Finally, when they came to clear the table, I ordered a Morning Set with iced coffee, but got hot coffee instead haha. The staff seemed to be from overseas and busy, so they made a mistake. Oh well. I had toast with butter and sweet red bean paste. It was just okay. The boiled egg was hard to peel haha. I was curious about the Masala Chai and curry pot from the curry shop Eric South, which is across from this place, but maybe next time. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at a shop featured in Sayaka Sugiura's Tokyo walking book. I got a sandwich and a drink set for ¥900, and it came with coffee jelly for dessert ♡ The appearance is simple, but it was absolutely delicious!! The fluffy thick bread with a hint of black pepper was so tasty!! The mayonnaise flavor was subtle, which was nice and not too heavy!! Honestly, this egg sandwich was the best I've ever had! Thank you for the meal ( ᐢ. ̫ .ᐢ )

First visit. A cafe near Tokyo Station, in the Yaesu underground shopping area. This place is more of a traditional coffee shop than a modern cafe. I didn't have breakfast before heading out in the morning, so I want to fill my stomach with something solid. Since Aroma Coffee is open in the morning, I'll have their morning set. I arrived during breakfast time. I was able to enter without waiting, but the place was packed with customers. The shop has a lot of seats, but it's very busy in the morning. I heard that it used to be a smoker's paradise when a certain TV program visited, so I was cautious in case the smoke was bothersome, but it seems that the shop has become non-smoking now, which is a relief. This way, I can enjoy my breakfast leisurely. I ordered the ham toast set (650 yen) with iced coffee (300 yen), totaling 950 yen. First came the iced coffee. Oh, it's been a long time since I've seen a metal mug like this (◍•ᴗ•◍) It used to be a familiar item in Showa-era coffee shops, but it's still around. While sipping on the coffee, I waited for the ham toast. The ham toast was served in a cute basket instead of a plate, which was nice. It looks much more appetizing than being served on a cheap plate. The bread and ham used for the toast seem ordinary without any special feeling, but they taste surprisingly delicious, perhaps due to the location, the basket, or the careful preparation. I ate slowly to settle my stomach. Along with the ham toast, a mini-sized coffee jelly was served. I didn't order this, but it seemed to be a service item during breakfast time. The coffee jelly shows the skill of a coffee specialty shop. I might want to try the full-sized one. I finished the slightly watery iced coffee and left the shop. Being able to have a quick breakfast near Tokyo Station is a plus. The speed of food menu service is a bit slow, so it might be tough to use during train waiting times. Well, it's understandable since the kitchen space is too small for the number of seats. If you plan to visit, make sure to have some extra time.

In the vicinity of Yaesu, there aren't many places open for breakfast on weekends, right? I tried a cafe in Yae Chika on this day. It has a nostalgic atmosphere of an old-fashioned cafe, with a decent number of seats inside. Around 9 o'clock, about 80% of the seats were taken, and there were many foreign customers as well. The breakfast here includes toast and boiled eggs for an additional 100 yen with a drink order. The drinks cost around 600-800 yen. The toast was thick and came with butter, jam, and red bean paste, which was delicious! Since it was hot, I opted for an iced cafe au lait, which was also topped with cream and very tasty. The drink menu is also extensive! I would definitely like to go back when I want to have breakfast at Tokyo Station (*^^*)

I visited a long-established coffee shop called Yaechika for breakfast. I was happy to find out that they serve breakfast even on Sundays. For an additional 100 yen, you can get a breakfast set with boiled egg and toast along with your drink. On that day, since it was hot, I ordered an iced café au lait for breakfast. The iced café au lait had cream on top, which was a nice touch. It had been a while since I had café au lait instead of café latte, and it was delicious. The toast was thickly sliced and quite filling, but it came with butter, strawberry jam, and sweet bean paste, so I didn't get tired of eating it. The boiled egg was also an important part of the meal. The shop had a calm and nostalgic atmosphere, with a Showa-era vibe. It was a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

Retro! Great! I couldn't help but exclaim at the fantastic atmosphere of this classic coffee shop. The fact that it's non-smoking is a big plus for a non-smoker like me. I ordered a cream soda, which was sure to be made with care, and it did not disappoint. It perfectly captured the image of a classic ice cream soda that I was looking for. The only downside was that there were only two staff members (one in the kitchen, one in the dining area) and it was a bit crowded, so impatient people might be bothered. The waiter in the dining area looked a bit like Takeru Sato.

Located in the Tokyo underground mall. As someone from the countryside, I felt embarrassed to admit that this was my third time setting foot in Tokyo. For people like me, finding this cafe can be quite a challenge. It took me 30 minutes to find it. It's underground, so even looking at the map on my phone didn't help. I always thought Tokyo was difficult to navigate, even above ground. Impossible. So, this time, I arrived around 10 am on a weekday. There were a few empty seats available. For an extra 100 yen, I ordered the morning set with my 550 yen daily special black coffee. The set included a thick slice of fluffy bread, a boiled egg, butter and strawberry jam, and sweet red bean paste. It was more than enough for breakfast! The bread was soft and satisfying. The daily black coffee brewed with a siphon was deep, slightly bitter, and had a refreshing aftertaste. However, they didn't tell me what kind of beans they used... I wanted to know, but I'm too shy to ask, so I was left wondering. If I ever go back to Tokyo, I would love to find this cafe again and order the same thing! They also have cake sets that look tempting... Highly recommended!

Yaechika's oldest and earliest opening, otherworldly cafe (in a good way) where I ordered a ham toast and cola. The cola with a slice of lemon is a happy and lucky touch (=^ェ^=). The ham toast has layers of ham and mustard mayonnaise that go perfectly together! The mustard in the mayo isn't too strong, so the overall balance is great. The lettuce is crunchy and delicious. (They kindly left out the cucumber, which I personally don't like). The toast is perfectly cooked, with a nice crispy crust and a delightful aroma and texture. Overall, it's just delicious! I also tried the pizza toast and open egg sandwich, but I felt the ham toast was the best (^-^). Despite opening at 6:30 in the morning, there were quite a few customers, and they all seemed surprisingly relaxed. There were no other open shops nearby, but it's clear that this place is really popular!

I went there on a Sunday afternoon, and was able to get in without waiting in line. I ordered the cake set, which was surprisingly only 850 yen despite its prime location in Yae-chika. There were 7 types of cakes to choose from, and both the purple sweet potato tart and the chocolate mousse were delicious. I really wanted to order the pudding, but they were sold out. The atmosphere inside the shop was calm and relaxing. I thought it was a convenient place for a break. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went to Aroma to try the Irish coffee that I had been wanting to try for a while. It was served in a lovely cup with rich whipped cream on top, giving me a tremendous sense of satisfaction. The coffee itself was delicious without any strong aftertaste. I wonder why Irish coffee is so delicious. Next time, I think I'll try the rum. I'll also share a photo from when I had breakfast there before. The breakfast option with unlimited coffee refills is another great reason to visit.

Aroma Coffee at Tokyo Station ☕️ Maple Toast ¥750 Set Drink: Iced Tea ¥300 Coffee Jelly ¥600 Ice Vienna Coffee ¥650 It's been a while since I visited a cafe. I've been wanting to go back to this place since last year. I went before a concert at Tokyo Dome. Aroma Coffee Address: Yaesu 2-1, Chuo-ku, Tokyo Located in Yaesu Underground Shopping Street, Yaesu Chika 1st Street (5-minute walk from JR Tokyo Station Yaesu Chuo ticket gate, 5-minute walk from Ginza Line Kyobashi Station Exit 7) Opening Hours: - Mon-Fri: 6:30-21:30 (Last Order 21:15) - Sat: 7:00-21:00 (Last Order 20:45) - Sun & Holidays: 7:30-21:00 (Last Order 20:45) I went with my child. Details below. Maple Toast: A crispy toast with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, topped with maple syrup. The toast has a perfect crispy texture, especially the edges that soak up the maple syrup. The rest of the toast is moist and offers a different deliciousness. Coffee Jelly: I saw this on a TV show and wanted to try it. The jelly itself is not sweet at all. In fact, it's surprisingly bitter. My sister, who ordered the Ice Vienna Coffee, said the coffee was also very bitter and delicious. You can adjust the sweetness with gum syrup and cream. For those with children: Children are welcome, but the seating is tight, and there are a few steps at the entrance, making it difficult for strollers to enter. Note: I'm also curious about the curry restaurant next door, Eric South. I want to visit someday. #CafeHoppingWithKids #AromaCoffee #CoffeeShop #CoffeeJelly #MapleToast #Cafe #CafeHopping #CafeLife #Takeout #TakeoutFood #TokyoCafe #TokyoFood #TokyoLunch #YaesuUndergroundShoppingStreet #YaesuCafe #YaesuLunch #YaesuFood
