On Saturday night, I visited the restaurant at an early hour. I made a reservation by calling at the last minute on the same day, but luckily, the restaurant was full when I arrived. I love Shimizu so much!!! The thick-cut tongue requires a reservation in advance, so please mention it when you call (the staff will ask you when you call). I went after a long time, and it was really delicious... You cook it yourself, so there are moments when you're a little busy, but everything is delicious at the highest level. The thick-cut tongue is this thickness, yet you can easily bite through it with your front teeth. Amazing. Eating the negi rice that's not on the menu with the grilled meat is incredibly delicious...!!!

I visited the restaurant famous for its thick-cut tongue. I didn't have confidence in grilling the thick-cut tongue well, and I prefer my meat well-done, so I didn't pre-order. The quality of the meat was good, and I particularly liked the harami. However, the meat served in a sweet sauce wasn't to my liking as I don't enjoy eating meat in a sweet sauce. It's just a personal preference. Having some spicy spices like chili peppers on the table might help to balance it out a bit. The items I ordered were sirloin, top harami, top tongue, salt, president's 5 kinds platter, donuts, top mino.

Saw a post by Tokyo Wagyu Report and had been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while! I thought the thick-cut beef tongue was a must-try, but the rolled green onion tongue salt surpassed it in deliciousness! The kimchi assortment was also delicious, I had seconds! I want to go eat there again♡ The staff taught us how to cook the meat and were very lively and kind! Thank you for the meal ☺︎

The menu is extensive and the staff is friendly, allowing me to leisurely enjoy the taste of the meat. I love beef tongue, so I was happy to see a variety of beef tongue options on the menu! It was moist, juicy, and had just the right amount of fat, it was amazing. I should have stopped there, but I got carried away and ordered the zabuton and sankaku, which gave me heartburn. As I get older, I find myself unable to eat as much fatty meat as before, which makes me sad. I wish I could tell my younger self to not worry so much about dieting and just enjoy delicious food when you can! I also wanted to try the cold noodles.

I had made a reservation in advance for thick-cut tongue salt and thick-cut Harami before visiting. It seems that ordering the special cuts platter is a must. The raw tail was quite rare and interesting. It was my first time trying it, and it was surprisingly delicious. The famous thick-cut tongue was cooked perfectly, with the staff giving detailed instructions and finishing it off themselves. The items I ordered this time were as follows: thick-cut tongue salt, Gatsupon vinegar, kimchi platter, tongue and scallion sandwich, tongue tail, thick-cut Harami, Manager's special cuts platter (special cuts platter), top-quality mino, green chili pepper, and top-quality meat offcuts. The service was excellent, and the staff's knowledge of the meat was very good. However, the requirement to order the special cuts platter was a bit off-putting for someone not particularly fond of rare cuts. Overall, it was a very good restaurant.

Ordered the Chairman's Course which included Kimchi, Namul assortment, thick-cut rib roast, thick-cut tongue, salted zabuton, salted tougarashi, tare sagari, tare jyo mino, green chili, salted shimacho, tare yaki onigiri, and horumon chige. Located in Fudomae, a yakiniku restaurant on the 2nd floor of the TY Building. Owned by Mr. Yu Shimizu, opened on June 11, 2009. Closed on Mondays and two Sundays a month. Operating hours are from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm from Tuesday to Saturday (last order at 10:20 pm) and from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Sundays and holidays (last order at 9:00 pm). Seating for 42 at tables, no private rooms. Reservations accepted. Two-hour limit during peak times. Private reservations available. Credit cards accepted for individual bills over 4,000 yen. No electronic money accepted.

The owner, Mr. Shimizu, used to be a manager at a global dining restaurant before opening this yakiniku place in June 2009. The thick-cut tongue and harami are popular choices, with the thick-cut tongue harami being especially delicious. The meat quality is excellent, and the sauce is also outstanding, making it a popular spot with full reservations daily. We enjoyed the Chairman's Course, which included thick-cut tongue, harami, and rib eye cooked over two large charcoal grills. The thick-cut tongue and harami were incredibly tasty. The harami is first enjoyed with salt, then with garlic, and finally with ginger soy sauce. I really wanted to eat yakiniku, so I visited this restaurant and ordered the following: - President's 5 kinds of meat platter - Rolled tongue salt with lots of green onions - Chorogi salad - Tofu salad - Yukkejang soup - Grilled rice ball The quality of the meat at this restaurant, using Tamura beef, was excellent and very delicious. The Yukkejang soup had just the right amount of spice, which I liked. The staff were also very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I was very satisfied and would like to visit again. ♡

Located just a 3-minute walk from Fudomae Station, Yakitori Shimizu is a top-notch restaurant that has also been selected as one of the top 100 barbecue restaurants. I made a phone reservation about 4 days in advance for the thick-cut tongue, and it did not disappoint. The thick-cut tongue looked amazing and did not cause any stomach discomfort at all, probably due to the high quality of the meat. The restaurant was not full when I visited late, so the staff kindly cooked the meat for me. The service was great, and the meat was delicious! I think this is the best barbecue restaurant! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located a 1-minute walk from Fudo-mae Station. Visited on a weekend evening with a reservation. The restaurant was full, but it doesn't seem to be as difficult to reserve as rumored. Reserving the thick-cut tongue in advance is a must. They provide detailed instructions on how to cook it perfectly, resulting in a crispy outer layer and a juicy inside. The President's Special platter was especially delicious, particularly the triangle cut, zabuton, and shoulder loin. The surprise was the hormone meat, incredibly fresh and best enjoyed with salt and yuzu pepper. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The meat was very delicious! I made a same-day reservation and got lucky with an available slot! The upper harami was delicious, and the meat offcuts were also reasonably priced for the quality. Every meat dish I tried was of incredibly high quality, so I would like to make a reservation and go again.

Midway through Golden Week, I tried making a same-day reservation as a last resort and managed to secure a booking for the 7:00pm slot! Due to it being Golden Week, the famous thick-cut beef tongue with salt was only available in single servings, but even so, I was very satisfied. ⭐️ Kakuteki ⭐️ Thick-cut beef tongue with salt - crispy, juicy!! The meat was so beautiful, needless to say, it was incredibly delicious. ⭐️ Upper Mino with green chili peppers - This was the first time I had such a refined and completely odorless Mino that didn't taste like offal at all! The spiciness of the green chili peppers was addictive! ⭐️ Harami ⭐️ Manager's special 3-cut platter - A rare platter featuring three different cuts. When you order the thick-cut beef tongue with salt, you also need to order one of the rare 3, 4, or 5-cut platters. Probably the proprietress? was incredibly thoughtful and provided excellent service with polite hospitality, making the dining experience very pleasant! I was able to enjoy delicious yakiniku with peace of mind. The lean meat was superb (^^)

It is definitely not cheap, but the taste is well worth the price. Being able to enjoy this quality at this price is wonderful. The thick-cut tongue requires a reservation, so be sure to reserve in advance. The assorted premium cuts come in 3-5 varieties, but I recommend ordering 5 because you'll want more later.
