The interior of the store is bright and clean, with paintings and photographs displayed on the walls, giving it a high-quality feel. There are 8 four-person tables, 2 two-person tables, and 1 one-person table on the first floor. There also seemed to be seating on the second floor. The background music in the store was quiet classical music like violin, creating a calming atmosphere. I ordered the homemade pudding with iced coffee from the set menu. The set menu options are as follows, all including tax: ・Hotcake Set 1,300 yen ・French Toast Set 1,300 yen ・Homemade Pudding Set 1,200 yen For drinks, you can choose from hot or iced options of: ・Coffee ・American Coffee ・Black Tea ・Cafe au Lait The food was served relatively quickly, and the pudding looked delicious from the start. Arrived around 7:40 on the quiet temple street, just managed to squeeze in before about 20 people lined up behind us. If we were 5 minutes later, we would have been waiting outside for the second round. Enjoyed the mixed sandwich, egg sandwich, and fluffy pancakes. The bread was soft, the egg was moist, and the butter with honey was delightful. The clean and retro Showa-era interior added to the sense of happiness. Cafe au lait and iced coffee were a good mix of sweetness and bitterness. I don't mind Inoda's slightly sweet coffee, but the combination of sweet pancakes and bitter coffee was perfect. Paying with PayPay gave a sense of the current era. When we left, the line was even longer.

For lunch, you can choose two items from the menu and choose between bread or rice. The cream croquette, shrimp fry, and chicken cutlet with demiglace sauce were all very delicious. Today's special was chicken with curry sauce, which was tasty but I preferred the chicken cutlet. The hamburger also caught my eye, but I really enjoyed what I had!

The hamburger was juicy and easy to eat, and the cream croquette was exceptional with its sweet and rich béchamel sauce filling. I recommend choosing the hamburger and cream croquette. The first floor is nice, but the second floor is also good. The second floor is frequented by older customers enjoying delicious Western cuisine. It's a sign of a good restaurant. Smart Cafe always has long lines, so I usually give up on going in, but today I was able to get in easily without a line. I sought refuge from the heat at a long-established coffee shop that has been in business for 89 years. It's impressive that they have such a smart name like "Smart" since 1932. They even have a roaster, so I felt like I had to have some coffee, but I ended up giving in to the heat and ordering an iced latte. This was my first time this year. Gion is finishing up the festival with the carrying of the mikoshi.

The customers were of all ages and genders, but it seemed to be a popular spot for tourists, dates, and ladies' gatherings. Overall, the pudding was delicious. Misora Hibari must have loved not only the hotcakes and egg sandwich but also the pudding. Since the restaurant is treated as a tourist spot, it is recommended to visit on weekdays if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere.
