It's my favorite because it's affordable and delicious. I bought four Belge eclairs because my family also likes them. They cost 230 yen each (excluding tax). Inside is not custard, but caramel ganache. The ganache melts in your mouth lightly and is very delicious. There is no cake in Takashimaya that you can buy for 230 yen. Even macarons are more expensive. Vita Mer is also delicious with Macadamia Chocolate and Madeleines, so I think it deserves more recognition.

Located on the basement floor of Nihonbashi Takashimaya SC, Wittamer offers chocolate cakes that are exceptionally delicious. The founder, Henri Wittamer, strongly believes in delivering the best taste using carefully selected top-quality ingredients. I used their cakes for my daughter's birthday, and she enjoyed it very much. #Wittamer #WittamerNihonbashiTakashimaya #NihonbashiTakashimaya #NihonbashiTakashimayaSC #chocolatecake #birthdaycake #Nihonbashi #NihonbashiSweets #nihonbashi #takashimaya #wittamer #NihonbashiChocolate #NihonbashiCake #KidsLoveIt

Mushu, tax included 216 yen each, this is a traditional cream puff. It is delicious as expected, but it would have been even better with a little twist. The price is quite reasonable. It was nice to be able to purchase two cream puffs with a solid customer service and feel good.

Today is a special day for our family, so we bought a cake here and took over an hour to bring it home. Normally, it would be easier to buy from a local cake shop, but due to the emergency declaration for COVID-19, the shop closes after 8 PM. This restriction affects our dinner plans, as I often end up bringing a bento box to work. However, bringing home this cake was the right choice. The cream was not too sweet or heavy, and had a fluffy texture. The sponge inside had a perfect balance with the cream, making it delicious. It's no surprise, as this cake is from a prestigious Belgian chocolate shop that serves the royal family. The only downside was the plastic covering around the cake, I prefer simpler decorations. I shared the strawberries with my dog, who happily enjoyed them. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Vitamer, a renowned chocolate shop appointed by the Belgian royal family, is famous for its chocolate brownies. Personally, I think they are even tastier than GODIVA. The design of their paper bags in white, pink, and gold is cute and makes for a great gift. This time, I went to the Ueno store to buy their éclair after seeing a post by Myレビ, but to my surprise, they didn't have it. So, I ended up visiting the Nihonbashi Takashimaya store to get it. The store was decorated for Christmas, with a wide variety of cakes available. I bought the Belgian éclair (caramel chocolate), Chocola Samba, Mont Blanc, and Frais de Vitamer. The Belgian éclair was exactly what I was looking for. The choux pastry was crispy, the milk chocolate coating was mild, and the caramel chocolate cream inside was delicious. Vitamer is a top-notch chocolate shop, and I highly recommend their cakes and assorted chocolates.

I always tend to go to the same familiar shops, but this time I was looking for something new. I stumbled upon a shop tucked away in a corner. They had Macadamia nut chocolate? I love Macadamia nuts. When I stood in front of the window, I decided to try the milk, dark, and limited edition salted milk flavors in the smallest size for each (haha). The milk chocolate had a soft cookie base covered in chocolate coating that tasted like Belgian chocolate. The balance of the Macadamia nuts on top was perfect. The customer service at the shop was very polite and welcoming. I think it's a really good shop.

This is a sweets shop located in the food section on the basement 1st floor of Nihonbashi Takashimaya. Originally a Belgian chocolate shop, it has partnered with a Japanese company to expand its stores in Japan. Established in 1989 as a partnership with Edelweiss Co., Ltd., and in 1990, Vita Meal Japan Co., Ltd. was established. This time, I bought a cake to take home. Chocolate cake 700 yen + tax - Chocolat Selection brand, Chocolat Santome. It features a chocolate mousse made with cocoa "Santome" known for its fruity aroma and deep flavor, paired with bergamot-scented tea ganache and caramel-flavored creme brulee. Sales period: January 7 (Tuesday) - March 4 (Wednesday). Strawberry cake 550 yen + tax - Smooth and creamy strawberry cake. Choux cream 200 yen + tax - Eclair 230 yen + tax - A perfect combination of chocolate-covered pastry with plenty of custard cream.

Having a beer with my son in Marunouchi, we wandered around a bit tipsy. As we passed through Yaesu exit, we saw many people waiting for the express bus, and the lively atmosphere seemed to go on forever. It was a pleasant afternoon on a holiday. Maybe we should buy some sweets on our way back. Sounds good. I remember when my son was in junior high, he used to walk ahead of me whenever we went out together. He didn't like walking side by side with me. We used to argue, and he would say hurtful things like "die, you old hag" (although I would say similar things back...). No matter how annoying he was, there was an unwavering love at the core. That's just how it is between parents and children. It had been a while since I visited the basement of Takashimaya main building. We went around a few dessert shops and admired the cakes. They all looked delicious, making it hard to decide. I once bought a Christmas cake here, so let's make our decision here. The Mont Blanc, chocolate cake, cream puff for grandma, and the shop assistant even gave us two cookies as a bonus. After dinner, I prepared the Mont Blanc for my son's dessert. I carefully brewed the coffee that we received as a gift. My son, who loves sweets, slowly enjoyed the Mont Blanc with the coffee. When I asked if it was delicious, he replied "yes, it's delicious." I felt content and happy, surrounded by the aroma of coffee.

I have received cakes and baked goods before, but this time I tried a special treat that is always available - a pure chocolate called "Junsei Shokora". It was my first visit on April 26, 2018. Here is my review:
- Items purchased:
- Junsei Shokora (Nacheru/6 pieces) for ¥864 (tax included)
- Satisfaction level: ¥700
The chocolate is made with Belgian chocolate and fresh cream, creating a smooth and rich flavor. It melts in your mouth like magic, with a rich cocoa aroma. The texture is like a thin chocolate bar, with a slightly firm outer layer and a soft inside. It is quite sweet and satisfying.
Overall, I would rate it 3.6 out of 5 points. I would recommend it for a small treat or as a gift. I would consider buying it again in the future.

Creamy and delicious, the name is Fraisede Vita Mer. The striking flagship product of Vita Mer. I thought it was just a regular shortcake, but it actually has strawberries and fruits in it. Thanks to that, it has a more sophisticated taste than just a regular shortcake, with a refreshing aftertaste. The firm plastic on the sides supports the generous amount of cream all around. Removing it can be a bit messy as the cream tends to stick. There are 4 and a half strawberries on top, which can be a bit tricky to cut. The cream is also a bit loose, so some shape deformation is inevitable. At 15cm, it costs 3600 yen, which is about 7 times more expensive than the single piece at 500 yen. Considering the effort of cutting it, maybe the smaller one is better? Overall, I have no complaints as it was a gift, but the excitement when opening the box is truly remarkable. If you're tired of regular shortcakes, try Vita Mer.

Located inside Nihonbashi Takashimaya, this shop was visited on a Sunday around 4 pm. Purchased the Coupe de Foudre (519 yen) and Chocolat d'Alain (486 yen) for takeout. The Coupe de Foudre is a two-layer mousse with milk chocolate mousse and caramel mousse. The chocolate mousse is surrounded by a chocolate-flavored sponge. The caramel mousse has a taste similar to pudding. The flavors are not very impactful, but it is easy to eat like pudding. The Chocolat d'Alain consists of sweet chocolate mousse with cherries soaked in liqueur on top and inside. The chocolate mousse is rich but has a smooth texture. It feels like a cake from a chocolatier, allowing you to fully enjoy the chocolate flavor, making it delicious.

I have been smoothly handling seasonal topics lately, but now I was thinking about what to do next... (^_^;) And so, this year Easter falls on March 27th...
This shop also offers delicious chocolates that are used by the Belgian royal family, which I purchased at the VITA MARE Daimaru Tokyo store the other day. They also make cakes (I wonder if they do the same in Belgium?).
Purchased item: Easter Bunny, diameter about 10.5cm, 2400 yen + tax. The bottom layer is a biscuit with layers of apricot jelly and raspberry, all wrapped in a white chocolate mousse scented with vanilla. The top of the cake has an Easter bunny and flowers made of white chocolate, with a small bird coated in almond chocolate inside a coconut nest (at first I thought it was an Easter egg). It is a delicious cake with a moderate level of sweetness.
They also have new spring creations, including cakes shaped like ladybugs, making it a fun place to buy visually appealing cakes! Thank you for the meal.

It's Christmas Eve, what should we do? Once again, I'm running out of time... In recent years, I've either stopped making plans or my planning skills have diminished. But here at Hotelmas, the calm and peaceful atmosphere has replaced the excitement of the past. It's a relief not to feel anxious anymore. Tomorrow's cake choice is still undecided, so I'll ask Vita-san for help. Today, I went to Nihonbashi Takashimaya to find my friend's favorite food, hard bread. I discovered that there are very few bakeries in Akihabara, which is more of a traditional Japanese sweets town. After buying the hard bread at "Signifiant Signifier," I explored Takashimaya once more. I eventually settled on buying a cake at "Partel." It's been a while since I bought a whole cake, and I chose a fruit cake with strawberries for my friend. I also bought sausages for myself later. With my friend's careful handling, we safely transported the cake back home. Once settled, we enjoyed the delicious cake. It had fresh strawberries, oranges, grapes, kiwis, and blueberries with a berry sauce that matched perfectly. The raspberry mousse was sweet and sour, and the sponge was just right. It was a delicious cake that resembled a tree stump when viewed from the side. And to top it off, they even gave me the entire chocolate plate decoration on top! The chocolate was so good that I decided to buy some chocolates as well. It was a delightful experience, where I learned the art of gratitude through a small piece of chocolate. The way they make you feel appreciated, even when you're the one paying, is truly skillful. I ended up buying the Samba Chocolate for my next visit.

I want to thank a friend who has always been helpful, so I chose VitaMiel chocolates. As I picked out each chocolate, I realized they were all filled with liquor, which is great for my friend who enjoys alcohol but not suitable for a friend with young children. So, I chose four flavors: Raspberry, Pineapple, Irish Coffee, and Curacao. The one with the strongest liquor taste was Pineapple. Raspberry could be a bit more sour, but I think it's still okay for kids to eat. As someone who enjoys alcohol, I couldn't resist trying them all and ended up eating too many chocolates with different flavors.

This is a traditional Belgian chocolate shop. I felt like having some after a long time, so I bought two Bonbon Chocolates for home. - Kirsh 270 yen: A classic chocolate with cherry and cherry liqueur. The perfect bitterness of the chocolate and the liqueur match well, and it's delicious as always. - Rocher (milk) 200 yen: A milk chocolate with plenty of finely chopped almonds. The crispy texture of the almonds and the mild milk chocolate go well together. It paired nicely with a strong coffee. I'm also curious about the limited edition chocolates and pure chocolate, so I plan to revisit soon! ★☆

Belgium originated cake "Vitamare" found at the Takashimaya Nihonbashi store's basement pastry section. Last night, I had a small disagreement with my wife, so I wanted to make up by coming home on time today. I found out that the renowned Oubon Vuitton from Oyamadai is located at Takashimaya Nihonbashi store, but unfortunately, the main store is closed on Wednesdays and they don't sell fresh pastries on that day. Instead, I found the "Vitamare" cake, which I thought my wife would enjoy. It cost just under 2,000 yen for 4 pieces, not exactly cheap, but if it helps improve her mood, it's worth it (laughs). The bitter chocolate cake had an adult taste with no overwhelming sweetness. The cheesecake had a strong cheese flavor, making it an ideal dessert after a meal. Overall, the cakes were not too sweet, with the fruits not overly syrupy, making them suitable for a pleasant conversation after a Japanese meal.
