自称独り者グルメ
In September 2023, I revisited Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/xiaoshan7910/?hl=ja, and kindly ask for your continued support <(_ _)> I revisited after 5 years and 5 months. This is Tim Ho Wan, a Michelin-starred dim sum specialty restaurant in the "food capital," Hong Kong. Chef Mak Kwai Pui, who worked at Lung King Heen, a Cantonese restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong that has won three Michelin stars for four consecutive years, opened Tim Ho Wan with partner Chef Leung Fai Keung in 2009. They aimed to provide authentic flavors in a casual and affordable setting, earning a Michelin star in 2010. The handmade dim sum, including steamed dishes, fried dishes, rice noodle rolls, congee, sticky rice, vegetables, and desserts, are made with original recipes. Enjoy top-quality flavors in a casual setting.
I visited on the grand opening day when they first opened in Japan, and I waited in line for 3 and a half hours. Since then, I have passed by the restaurant many times, always seeing a line. This day, the spacious restaurant was bustling, but we were seated at a 2-person table without waiting. We enjoyed tea, filled out the order sheet, and ordered the following dishes:
1. Warm Lettuce, ¥680: A simple dish of crisp lettuce with special soy sauce for a refreshing salad experience.
2. Baked BBQ Pork Buns, ¥780: A signature dish loved by fans worldwide, featuring sweet BBQ pork filling in a crispy pastry.
3. Steamed Rice Rolls with Shrimp and Chinese Chives, ¥880: Smooth and silky rice noodle rolls with a delightful texture of plump shrimp.
4. Steamed Vegetable Dumplings, ¥580: Healthy dumplings filled with a variety of vegetables, recommended for vegetarians.
5. Steamed Spare Rib Rice, ¥980: A hearty dish with special spare ribs and jasmine rice steamed together, bursting with flavor.
The total bill, including a 10% service charge, was ¥4,290. The dishes were served quickly, so it's advisable to observe before filling out the order sheet.
