Located about a 5-minute walk north of Kichijoji Station on the Keio Line, this patisserie is a popular spot with a rating of 3.89 on Tabelog (as of 2023). It was also selected as one of the "Top 100 Restaurants 2022" on Tabelog. In addition to fresh Western-style sweets, they also sell madeleines, but they do not sell bread. My favorite item at this shop is the Sanphonie, priced at 550 yen. It's a cake made with Earl Grey and mascarpone. If you don't mind the scent of Earl Grey, I highly recommend this cake. It's described as "like milk tea" in the shop, and it has a well-balanced, elegant, and delicious flavor. The mascarpone is particularly good. The Tarte aux Fraises, priced at 715 yen, is also delicious. It features a perfect balance of strawberries with a moderate acidity that pairs well with the rich cream and tart crust. While this is tasty too, at my home, the Sanphonie was more popular. There was a slight price increase in February, but I still think this shop offers high satisfaction.

Arrived around 2:30 PM on Sunday. There was only one group ahead of us, and we were seated right away. I purchased the Shoe Caramel for 378 yen to go. I ate it elsewhere, but I think there was custard underneath the caramel, and it was incredibly delicious! It was a unique and tasty surprise. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely visit again!

I had a famous ramen at Sengawa Station and came here with that momentum. Passing through the shopping street, there is a small cake shop bustling with many people. Symphony... I apologize for the slightly deformed shape. It seems to be a milk tea-flavored cake, with Earl Grey as the base. The crispy tart crust with finely chopped tea leaves and the smooth milk tea-flavored cream had a well-balanced taste. Dou Fromage... It's like a baked cheesecake wrapped in rare cheese. The smooth rare cheese with a strong lemon acidity and the rich yet slightly firm baked cheese had a wonderful combination! Shine Muscat Shortcake... Perhaps it's the season, but it's not strawberries, it's muscat. The gentle sweetness of the whipped cream and the moist sponge cake blend together seamlessly, melting smoothly. It's a top-notch cake! I wish it was easier to access anytime (laughs).

I have shopped at this store several times before. I used to buy cakes, puddings, and cookies, but they were not listed on Tabelog. I went shopping there after a long time. I remember feeling nervous during my previous visits due to the pandemic. It was a hot summer day, making it difficult to take home fresh sweets. I went there by bicycle, but it was shaky and hot, so I decided to choose baked sweets. I love Keikoufuri, and when I found it, I fell in love with its appearance. Keikoufuri costs ¥290. During my sweets tour to the top 100 stores, I found that there were overwhelmingly more baked sweets. Among them, this one was the best for me. It's not suitable for children. I also love rum, and I wonder what kind of rum is used in it. The dry fruits soaked in rum are irresistible, and it's perfect for when you want a little snack with a drink. I used to love Oigawaken's Raisin Witch, which was my number one, but maybe this one has taken its place. It was a baked sweet full of excitement and deliciousness while eating it. I also saw a product with a lot of food coloring, and I started to like its junky feeling.

I visited the store for the first time. I made a reservation and purchased around 2 p.m. on Sunday. I was worried it might be sold out, but there were still plenty available. The seasonal shortcake was made with peaches. It was delicious, with flavors of fromage blanc cheese and baked cheese. The Symphony black tea had a strong aroma and was tasty.

Located in Setagaya-ku, this French pastry shop has its main store just a 4-minute walk from Chidorigafuchi Station, with a branch at Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku. I had been wanting to visit this shop for a while, but the inconvenient transfer from my home had kept me away. Finally, for a birthday celebration, I decided to order a delicious whole cake from here and was able to make a reservation. They offer over 5 different types of whole cakes, with both round and square shortcakes available in various sizes - 12cm, 15cm, and 18cm. I pre-ordered the smallest size (12cm, serves 2-3 people) of the shortcake for ¥3,240. The phone service was friendly, and when I went to pick it up close to closing time on the weekend, the store was busy and bustling. The cake looked like a luxurious, beautiful white dress, adorned with vibrant berries. The sponge was delicate and slightly sweet, while the whipped cream was smooth and subtly sweet, creating a perfect harmony with the tartness of the berries. The taste was elegant and refined, reminiscent of a graceful young lady. I indulged in eating the whole cake with a fork for my birthday, so I forgot to take a picture of the cross-section - what a luxurious way to enjoy it! After finishing half, I found it to be quite sweet, so one slice was just right. I also spotted several tempting petit gateaux in the showcase, so I definitely want to go back for those next time.

The inside of the shop for the famous bakery had about 5 people in line. The cookies for gifts were put in boxes (for a fee) and you could choose the ribbon color, so they looked cute. I also bought some for myself, but they weren't amazingly delicious, just average cookies. The cakes I bought, pistachio and chocolate, were delicious. They truly lived up to the reputation of being a famous bakery. I forgot the name of the last cake in the photo, but it was a fruit cake with green herbs mixed in, and the texture and taste were just not my cup of tea. It seems like their classic cakes are good, but I wouldn't recommend the more unusual ones.

I bought 4 different types of cakes this time, and all of them were of high quality. Considering their high quality, the pricing was quite reasonable, making them very cost-effective.
1. Sanphonie - $5.80
Earl Grey and Mascarpone cake. The Earl Grey flavor is strong and the layer of Earl Grey chocolate in the middle is quite sweet, but the creamy Mascarpone layer in the center balances it out well. The contrast in textures between the Earl Grey-flavored biscuit at the bottom and the mousse layer on top is also great.
2. Sicilienne - $6.26
Pistachio mousse and Griotte cherry mousse. The pistachio mousse has a strong pistachio flavor, and the cherry part with a hint of acidity ties everything together. The chocolate wrapping around it, like a battleship roll, also has a rich pistachio aroma. Very well-balanced and high in quality.
3. Dou Fromage - $5.80
A two-layer cake with rare cheese and baked cheese. Both layers are impeccable. The airy rare cheese layer is particularly delicious, but it seems to absorb a lot of moisture, so it's best to eat it soon after purchase to prevent the biscuit at the bottom from getting soggy.
4. Choux Cream - $3.24
Cream with a fragrant and smooth texture. Finely crushed caramelized nuts are sprinkled on top of the choux pastry.

Revisited a shop that caught my attention in the "Hyakumeiten 2022" list, this time to try some different desserts since the freshly squeezed Mont Blanc was not available. I ended up getting a peach shortcake, a mango cream dessert, and a cream puff. The peach shortcake was a pleasant surprise with the peach complementing the cream nicely. The mango cream dessert had a delicious combination of mango pudding, coconut blancmange, and fresh mango on top. The cream puff was rich in cream, but a bit too sweet for my taste, maybe better if chilled. Although I was disappointed not to find the freshly squeezed Mont Blanc, the other desserts were still delicious, so overall a good experience. Peach Shortcake 626 yen, Creme Mangue 648 yen, Cream Puff 324 yen.

I stopped by Sweets Hyakumeiten while in Sengawa, Chitose. I got a tart with a large half peach inside, a pistachio cake, and a cream puff to go. The peach tart was amazing, with a perfect balance of fruit flavor and sweetness. The pistachio cake, with a white chocolate base, was also fantastic. The cream puff was filled with delicious cream. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is a super popular patisserie in Setagaya. I have been going there occasionally lately, as it is within regular commuting distance. This time, I tried the peach shortcake, Mont Blanc, and the seasonal limited edition peach tart. The standout item was the peach tart, despite being a bit pricey. It used half-cut fresh and juicy peach fruit on the top, making it a luxurious treat. The peach itself was sweet and succulent. The custard cream supported the peach well, and the tart base had a good texture and delicious taste. Overall, it was a very satisfying dish. The Mont Blanc was safe in flavor but perfectly executed with delicious whipped cream, chestnut cream, pastry, and chestnut. It's truly impressive that they offer such a wide variety of products, all of which are delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I tried a Valencia orange cake at Yuusasage in Chitose-Karasuyama, which caught my interest on the Keio Line side. It was a perfect balance of freshness and richness, with a refreshing taste that was even better than it looked. The quality of the other items was also quite good, making me want to try more. I definitely want to revisit when I come back to Chitose-Karasuyama.

I have been to this shop located about a 5-minute walk from Chitose Karasuyama Station several times and the food was delicious, so I purchased a cake. The items I ate were: Peach Eclair - 4.0, Cream Puff - 4.5, Pudding - 3.5. Everything I ate this time was delicious, especially the cream in the cream puff was delicious and the prices are reasonable, so I recommend it. I would like to purchase a cake again if I come near here.

Sweets TOKYO Top 100 Stores 84/100
Just a 3-minute walk from Chitose-Karasuyama Station. Located after passing through the shopping street, this patisserie with a pistachio-colored exterior is quite impressive. They offer a lineup of fresh cakes, baked goods, and pound cakes. Photos are allowed inside the store. Seasonal products include:
- Valencia: A cake made with plenty of mandarin orange liqueur and oranges, creating a juicy cake with a refreshing orange scent. Perfect for the hot season, with a well-balanced and delicious taste.
- Emma: A combination of raspberry mousse, jelly, coconut mousse, and dacquoise. The raspberry-colored cream is rich in sweetness and lightness, with delicate layers of raspberry mousse, jelly, and coconut mousse. The chef's delicate sensibility can be felt in this delicious treat.
- Cream Puff: A cream puff filled with a smooth and rich cream on a crispy choux pastry. The richness of the cream stands out against the crispy texture of the choux pastry. The smoothness of the custard cream is impressive.
- Lemon Cake: A popular cake made with luxurious Setouchi lemons. The lemon flavor is sharp and delicious, with a delicate and well-balanced texture, and the mousse is exquisite. The prices are reasonable, making it a patisserie you want to visit frequently, so it would be great to have one nearby. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Yusasage is one of my favorite patisseries in Sengoku Karasuyama. Every cake they make is incredibly delicious, and whenever I bring them to gatherings, they are always a hit. This time, I purchased several cakes for a gathering. The lineup included Melon Shortcake, Symphony Mont Blanc, Enzo, Fromage, and Sicilienne. Each cake looked beautiful.
First, the Sicilienne - a rich pistachio mousse cake with griotte cherry jelly and mousse. The balance of sweetness and acidity was perfect, and the pistachio flavor was delightful. The Mont Blanc was surprisingly easy to eat and delicious, with an elegant sweetness of chestnut cream. Fromage Doux is a two-layer cheesecake, with a layer of rare cheesecake and baked cheesecake. It was popular and not too heavy, with a nice level of sweetness. Enzo featured hazelnut dough with coffee ganache, mousse chocolate, and hazelnut cream. It was rich and perfect for chocolate lovers.
The Symphony was a rich milk tea-like cake made with Earl Grey and mascarpone. I was hesitant to buy it, but I'm glad I did because it was incredibly delicious. The combination of Earl Grey and mascarpone was surprisingly good.
And of course, Yusasage is known for its Shortcake. This time, it was a seasonal Melon Shortcake, and it was outstanding. The dough, cream, and melon were all delicious. It's definitely one of the best Shortcakes I've ever had.
Overall, Yusasage never disappoints. The taste, the service of the staff, everything is top-notch. It's truly the best patisserie.

When I entered the store, a sweet smell filled the air. I visited around 3:30 pm on a weekday, and there were still quite a few cakes available. I bought the "Slitje" cake, which had plenty of American cherries that paired really well with the acidity of the cherries and pistachios. They also had baked goods like cookies, and there were about 10 cookie tins left. The cookie tin was a perfect size for a gift, and it looked stylish.

I visited around 2pm. I ordered a pistachio cake and a cream puff cake? The surprising thing was this cream puff cake! Inside, it was a cheesecake surrounded by a big cream puff with small cream puffs attached to it. It's a mysterious cake in a shape that looks like a spaceship. Thank you for the meal!

I received a Sicilienne and Saint-Honoré du Fromage as a souvenir ✨️ I was so happy because it was a shop I had always wanted to visit...! The appearance is elaborate and incredibly cute, a sight that any girl would definitely be delighted by. Among the two, the Sicilienne, a pistachio cake, was absolutely amazing! The outer wall is made of pistachio chocolate, giving it a crunchy texture with the first bite. I love things with a good bite (*´`) The rich pistachio mousse with a refreshing cherry jelly was incredibly delicious. I definitely want to eat this pistachio cake again in my life........... Thank you for the treat ✨️

I had some errands nearby, so I stopped by after the store opened. Last time I came, many items were sold out, but this time everything seemed to be available, so I had a hard time deciding what to get. I had bought some baked goods at the Shinjuku store before and they were delicious, so this time I got three puddings for souvenirs to bring home. They were not too sweet as advertised, so I enjoyed them without feeling overwhelmed. If I have the chance, I would love to try their cakes again after a long time!

On a Saturday in June, the weather was cloudy and moderately warm. I visited around 5:15 PM and there was only one group inside the store. The display case had only 7 or 8 items left, with popular choices like Mont Blanc and Hazelnut having only one left. Luckily, I managed to get some. I purchased: Emma for 560 yen, Mont Blanc for 560 yen, Chocolate Hazelnut for 600 yen, Symphony for 560 yen, and Pistachio Tart Series for 750 yen, along with a paper bag for 20 yen (all prices excluding tax), totaling 3050 yen (including tax, 3294 yen). Recently, due to rising ingredient costs, many cake shops have increased their prices, but this shop has most items priced below 600 yen, except for the fruit tart, which is very much appreciated. The specialty is Symphony, a tea-based cake with a wonderful aroma. The sponge is moist with a grainy texture from the tea leaves, and the mousse and cream are smooth and flavorful. The tea flavor is prominent and delicious. The tart was also delicious, with a great crust and a rich pistachio cream. Overall, everything I tried was delicious. This shop offers great value, comparable to Édouard. I will definitely visit again.
