This time, I visited Marietta in Karasuma. Among the many Italian restaurants in the Karasuma area, this place is always crowded with customers. When I visited on a weekday night, it was almost full already. Luckily, there was a seat available at the counter, so I could enter without waiting in line. There were many foreigners, and some were dining alone like me. With various types of pizzas on the menu, I was indecisive, but I decided to order the Margherita for my first visit. I watched as they kneaded the pizza right in front of me at the counter. After a while, the freshly made pizza arrived. There was a note on the counter saying to eat it while it's hot, so I hurried to finish it while it was still piping hot. The pizza was really delicious, with the gooey tomato sauce, elastic cheese, and most importantly, the chewy and fragrant crust that I love. It was a simple and straight-up delicious pizza! Thank you for the meal.

I took a day off and started my day in Kyoto! I planned to head to Shizuoka for dinner. I intended to have lunch in the Jingu Marutamachi area, but my usual place was closed for summer vacation. So, I decided to enjoy some cake at a sweets shop and then continued south. I thought of trying a pizza place called Pizzeria Marita! I arrived at the shop around 12:30. The shop is located along Sakai Machidori street, a little south of Takoyakushi street. It seems like they have irregular holidays, so it's best to check their Facebook page before visiting. They are closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. I was seated at the counter and ordered the Margherita pizza with prosciutto topping along with an iced tea. The counter seats face the oven, so you can enjoy watching the chefs at work. The pizza was served in about 10 minutes. The dough was chewy and delicious, and the balance between the acidity of the tomato sauce and the richness of the cheese was perfect. It was really tasty! Thank you for the meal!

I arrived before the store opened and there were already several people in line. I ordered the Margherita pizza. The cheese was creamy and light, very delicious. It was a bit hot in front of the counter by the oven, but the taste was worth it, and I was very satisfied.

I arrived a little after 11:30. I waited in line for a bit before entering. Today's pizza came with a drink. It was served piping hot right away. The restaurant is small, but it's great for a quick lunch. The pizza was good, but nothing extraordinary. I would visit again if I have the chance.

After enjoying delicious tempura in Gion, Kyoto, I decided to walk a bit and came to this pizza place recommended by the owner of the tempura shop, Mr. Kita. The place is called "Pizzeria Marita" and it is a popular spot with a limited number of seats. The pizza chef was skillfully handling the large pizza peel in front of the wood-fired oven. The menu is simple with only 4 types of pizzas, and I chose the D.O.C. The pizza was topped with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil, which were all very flavorful. The crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, just like the ones I had in Italy. It was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend trying their pizzas!

I had breakfast at the famous Tempura restaurant Kitano, and the owner recommended a restaurant to me. When I looked it up on Tabelog, I found out that it was actually one of the top 100 pizza places! So, I decided to visit Pizzeria Marita. There was already a line forming before opening time, but luckily I managed to get in on the first round. I ordered the Margherita pizza with a drink for 1000 yen, as I am a pizza beginner. The tomato sauce was delicious, and the freshly baked crust was tasty. The melted mozzarella cheese paired well with the tomato acidity, and the herbal aroma was refreshing. I also tried a slice of the D.O.C pizza my companion ordered, and it was also delicious. It made me realize that top 100 restaurants are truly worth visiting. I might start exploring pizza places as well, just like I do with hamburgers. This restaurant was the starting point for such thoughts. Thank you for the meal!

Margherita pizza for 1000 yen and Regina pizza for 1500 yen, each comes with one drink. They are delicious. It's nice to watch them carefully bake the pizzas while waiting. The restaurant is small, so it quickly fills up and the turnover is not great, so it's recommended to wait from before opening.

On Friday at 6:30 PM, my daughter and I visited Pizzeria Marita without a reservation and managed to snag seats at the counter. The table seats were filled with foreign customers. We ordered a Margherita for 1,300 yen, a Quattro Formaggi for 1,600 yen, and a Perinia iced coffee. The menu we had tried before was no longer available. The quiet owner and a part-time staff member were running the place. The pizzas were delicious when eaten hot. When I asked if they had honey for the Quattro Formaggi, I was told they didn't. As we were leaving, the owner mentioned that honey is not used in Naples. I'd like to come back for lunch next time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch. They don't take reservations, but when I arrived, they had available seating and promptly seated us. We ordered the Margherita pizza and the daily special Bismarck with Arancino (rice croquette). The rice croquette was a perfect size, with a crispy coating that was delicious. The Margherita was light and easy to eat, almost like a drink. It was my first time encountering a Margherita like that. The Bismarck had a runny egg in the middle, cooked in a pizza oven, with the yolk seasoned with black pepper which paired perfectly with the prosciutto and pizza dough. Everything was delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I was working in Shijo-Karasuma again, and it was busy from the morning... I decided to take a break and have a delicious lunch! So I came to Pizzeria Marita, which I had been curious about for a while. The interior of the restaurant is surprisingly small. I ordered the Margherita lunch set, which comes with a pizza and a drink. The authentic pizza baked in the oven was delicious! I ate it while it was still hot, just as an expert on a TV show once said that pizza should be eaten within 5 minutes of being served. It definitely loses its flavor when it cools down. The portion was just right for women, but as a big eater, it was a bit lacking for me. The taste was excellent! Italian restaurant located in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, on Sakaimachi Nishiki. Known for being selected as one of the top 100 pizza restaurants. Despite its relatively small interior, they serve pizzas baked in a kiln. During lunchtime, you can enjoy a meal for around 800 yen. Luckily, there were a few empty seats at the counter, so I quickly entered. However, it was almost full as expected from a popular restaurant. The menu mentioned a pizza called "Margherita" with salami on top, which was a good deal. It seemed to be a daily or weekly special. By the way, the lunch set consists of pizza and a drink, with no salad included. The pizza was promptly served. The addition of ham (prosciutto) on the Margherita added a bit more saltiness. The distinct taste was delicious. The pizza was baked in a kiln, so it had a crispy charred crust. The chewy dough, tangy and sweet tomato sauce, and smooth cheese were all delicious, truly a great pizza. There have been days when there was a line outside the restaurant. Depending on the crowd, I would like to visit again.

A great pizza place that has been selected as one of the top 100 in the past three times. Even on weekends, you can easily get a table if you go for a late lunch. The counter area can get hot as there is no air conditioning, so it might be better to sit at a table. The Margherita pizza costs ¥1000 and is cooked in a high-speed oven, coming out in just a few minutes after ordering. The thin crust is soaked in the oil from the mozzarella cheese.

Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Nakagyo-ku, Sakaimachi-dori, Nishiki Koji. A very small shop with no reservations allowed, first come first served. As a result, there are often many people waiting. This popular pizza place in Kyoto has been selected three times as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. The lunch menu includes four types of pizza: Margherita, D.O.C, Regina, and Marinara, as well as Crocchè, Arancino Rosso, Arancino Bianco, and Frittatino. Drinks include orange juice, apple juice, oolong tea, green tea, iced tea, and iced coffee. For an additional charge, you can also order Coca-Cola, ginger ale, espresso, house wine, Nastro Azzurro, and more. This time, I ordered the Margherita (1000 yen) and chose Nastro Azzurro for my drink (+500 yen). The Margherita pizza had a tangy tomato sauce, rich mozzarella cheese, and fragrant basil on a perfectly chewy crust. The overall balance of flavors was excellent, making it a high-quality pizza. The Nastro Azzurro is a beer from Italy's No. 1 manufacturer, Peroni, with a light and refreshing taste compared to Japanese beer. The prices are reasonable, making it a very accessible restaurant for a Tabelog top 100 establishment. I have become addicted to Tabelog and base my food adventures around it when in Kyoto. Thank you for the meal.

After 1 pm, I was lucky to find a seat at the counter without waiting. There were a few foreigners in the small restaurant, which seemed just right for 1 or 2 people. I ordered a Margherita pizza for 1000 yen with a drink included. I also got an Aranciano Bianco (rice croquette with mozzarella cheese and ham) for 400 yen. The iced coffee was refreshing, and the mozzarella cheese in the croquette was hot and gooey. The pizza came out of the oven with bubbling tomato sauce. The basil and tomato sauce combination was delightful. I learned a new way to eat the pizza - cut it with a knife, roll it up from the end, and eat it in one bite with a fork to avoid getting your hands dirty. It was a great meal, and I had a pleasant dining experience.

I went on a food tour in Kyoto. I arrived a bit late for lunch and was looking for pizza. I arrived at the restaurant at 13:15 on a Saturday and there were 7 people waiting outside. I waited for 25 minutes and was told that there were only 3 more portions of dough left. Luckily, I managed to get one of the last 3. I finally got seated at 14:10. I ordered the Margherita set (with orange juice) for ¥1,000. The pizza dough was amazing and the simple ingredients like mozzarella and pizza sauce were delicious. The set was very cost-effective at ¥1,000. The orange juice was also well-made. It was a great lunch and I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while while traveling to Kyoto. The location is along Sakaimachi Street, a short walk northeast from Karasuma Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. The restaurant has a small and stylish pizzeria atmosphere. I ordered the Margherita pizza for lunch. The pizza had a fairly solid crust that was easy to eat even by hand. The crust was a little heavy, but the balance of mozzarella and tomato sauce was good and delicious. Recommended for dining around Karasuma Station.

No smoking throughout, no parking lot nearby. The nearby parking lots charge 300 yen for 15 minutes and 300 yen for 30 minutes. When I arrived at 11:30 AM, just after opening, the place was already full. I was told that there wouldn't be any available seats until around 12:10 PM, so I left to try elsewhere. But since it was a Saturday, everywhere was fully booked. When I returned, there were already 5 people waiting in line. I should have just waited in line from the beginning. The nearby coin parking lots have varying prices, so it's better to check before parking. This time, I paid 600 yen. - Margherita (1000 yen with drink): The description on the table says that in Italy, when the pizza arrives, you should pause your conversation and eat the pizza hot. They serve one piece at a time even if you order for two. The classic Margherita was not outstanding, but it was delicious. - D.O.C (1500 yen with drink): They use authentic buffalo mozzarella. The creamy cheese was delicious and didn't make me feel heavy even after eating a lot. The crust of the pizza, called "cornicione," was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, which was also tasty.

It is a small restaurant with a counter and table seats. Reservations are not accepted as it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The charcoal-fired pizza is rare, and the chef bakes the next order just in time so you can enjoy it fresh. The pizzas are a bit small, but the dough is chewy and delicious. I would like to visit this place again.

Around 7:30 pm, there were about 7-8 solo travelers from overseas ahead of me, and then it was my turn. I waited for quite a while, about an hour. In the meantime, another 7 people from overseas lined up behind me. The lady waiting in front of me couldn't believe it, saying, "He's doing it all by himself! Why?" The atmosphere in the restaurant was a bit tense, but the owner was friendly when spoken to (although it was a bit difficult to approach him). The pizza came out quickly after ordering and it was very delicious. It's worth the wait in line. I recommend coming for the first round if possible.

Recently, this restaurant has been quite busy. The other day, I arrived at night and the restaurant was already full with last orders, so the door was closed. This time, I came back for revenge. I arrived around 7:30 pm on a weekday and waited for about 30 minutes before finally being able to enter. I ordered a Margherita and a Bismarck pizza, along with wine and beer. Sitting at the counter, I could see the pizzas being baked right in front of me. The Bismarck pizza was especially delicious. I want to keep coming back to this place.

I aimed to arrive around 11:30 as the store was opening. I parked my stroller sideways near the entrance, knowing that once inside, I wouldn't be able to get it out. I ordered a coffee, but it was served along with the food (laughs). The lunch menu consisted of pizza and a drink, with no salad or anything. The pizza was served for sharing, with one pizza and two plates brought out for two people to share silently. When we finished, a second pizza arrived. I wondered what would happen if someone didn't want to share or ordered the same kind of pizza. The taste was very delicious and the pizza was loaded with toppings, so it was quite satisfying. However, I felt a bit disappointed with the service or system - it felt like being at a ramen shop with only a counter. The food was tasty, but the service or system left something to be desired.
