KANIYAN
Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Nakagyo-ku, Sakaimachi-dori, Nishiki Koji. A very small shop with no reservations allowed, first come first served. As a result, there are often many people waiting. This popular pizza place in Kyoto has been selected three times as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. The lunch menu includes four types of pizza: Margherita, D.O.C, Regina, and Marinara, as well as Crocchè, Arancino Rosso, Arancino Bianco, and Frittatino. Drinks include orange juice, apple juice, oolong tea, green tea, iced tea, and iced coffee. For an additional charge, you can also order Coca-Cola, ginger ale, espresso, house wine, Nastro Azzurro, and more. This time, I ordered the Margherita (1000 yen) and chose Nastro Azzurro for my drink (+500 yen). The Margherita pizza had a tangy tomato sauce, rich mozzarella cheese, and fragrant basil on a perfectly chewy crust. The overall balance of flavors was excellent, making it a high-quality pizza. The Nastro Azzurro is a beer from Italy's No. 1 manufacturer, Peroni, with a light and refreshing taste compared to Japanese beer. The prices are reasonable, making it a very accessible restaurant for a Tabelog top 100 establishment. I have become addicted to Tabelog and base my food adventures around it when in Kyoto. Thank you for the meal.
