The first floor is a fish shop operated by Suzuki Suisan at Misaki Port, known for its octopus and tuna dishes that can be bought by weight for takeout. I have ordered takeout several times, but I recently tried dining in on the second floor for the first time. The lunch menu is limited to bowls, sushi, and chirashi, and the taste is average. It seems like it would be better to enjoy alcohol and fish dishes in the evening if you want to have a good time.

The first floor is a fish market. I didn't realize there were restaurants upstairs. It was a pleasant surprise! It was bustling on a Saturday night. Cheers with a glass of draft beer! Asahi Premium Draft Beer Jukusen. Delicious! Cold luxurious chawanmushi for 2,200 yen. A summer limited chawanmushi with abalone, snow crab, and scallops. Delicious with a refined broth. Night course meal for 6,500 yen. Appetizer: dried young sardines with somen noodles. Sashimi: seared bonito, amberjack, scallops, shrimp. Negi-ma hot pot with tuna that is perfectly fatty and delicious. Grilled salted sea bream with myoga. Cold dish of eggplant and pickled herring. Tempura: anglerfish with paprika and bell pepper. Sushi: medium fatty tuna, salmon roe, sea urchin, snapper, shrimp. Edamame cake. Highball for 850 yen. Truly a fish market - the fish is delicious! The sushi was also delightful, especially the sweet sea urchin. The edamame cake was moist and very tasty. Thank you for the feast!

This is a famous fish store located in front of Kinshicho Station South Exit. Operated by Misaki Port's Suzuki Fisheries Co., Ltd., the specialty here is the maguro butsu and tako butsu sold in a dedicated corner on the right side of the store. On the second floor, there is a sushi restaurant, and a separate location for a deli specializing in grilled fish and other dishes. This time, I visited the first floor fish market to buy fish for dinner when exploring the Kinshicho area from Mukojima on the weekend. It was around 3:30 pm when I visited, and with it being the weekend, both the specialty corner and the regular fish market were bustling with many customers looking for cheap and high-quality fish. The items I purchased after going through the store were: - Special grade mebachi maguro otoro sashimi cut for 1379 yen - Hokkaido scallop sashimi for 698 yen - Ehime prefecture madai sashimi for 537 yen - Miyazaki prefecture kamayaki shirasu for 380 yen, totaling 4 items. Come to think of it, this may be my first time buying sashimi here. The mebachi maguro is said to be caught by Japanese ships in the Atlantic Ocean. I often see the fishing area and nationality of the ship displayed at the Misaki Port Direct Sales Center "Urari," which is rare in the streets of Tokyo. I had the maguro, scallop, and madai as sashimi and sushi on the day of purchase, and the kamayaki shirasu as a shirasu bowl the next day, and they were all delicious despite being affordable. Among them, the best was definitely the mebachi maguro. The finely marbled fat was not oxidized at all and had a clear sweetness. It seems much tastier than the farmed bluefin tuna at major conveyor belt sushi chains. Mebachi maguro from longline fishing accounts for 40% of Misaki Port's annual catch of about 20,000 tons and 20 billion yen. They may be selecting the best ones from the catch. I never noticed before, but Suzuki Fisheries also has a store at "Urari" in Misaki Port. I used to buy bluefin tuna at Ocean Grow and Minami maguro at Uogin, but from now on, I'll also try Suzuki Fisheries' mebachi maguro.

I have used the fish sold by weight at Uoinu several times before. Today, I bought 400g of tuna and 100g of octopus, which came to a total of 1,726 yen. I also purchased salted salmon roe to add to the mix of fish for tonight's meal. This amount is more than enough for a family of four. The tuna had mostly delicious red meat, with some visible sinew. The pieces were large, so it's best to cut them into bite-sized pieces for mixing. The octopus was also large, so it needed to be cut as well. The salted salmon roe was served separately, and it was also delicious with just the right amount of salt. Thank you for the meal.

They sell tuna and octopus by the gram outside the store! It's a famous dish in Kinshicho, so it's a must-try! Tuna is about 200g for 625 yen including tax, while octopus is about 300g for 1321 yen including tax. When you order by the gram, the price is calculated based on the approximate weight. So be careful as the final price may not match exactly. Personally, I prefer octopus over tuna for its versatility in dishes like ajillo. Thinly sliced tuna is delicious too. Thank you for the meal!

A fish market in Kinshicho that has been in business for decades. When I was a child, I used to mishear it as "Fish Tiger" instead of "Fish In". One of their famous items is the special booth selling tuna and octopus pieces. Unlike regular tuna pieces which usually have a lot of sinew in the tail or the trimmings, these pieces are made using the actual fish meat, so they are large and sinew-free. The tuna pieces are priced at 280 yen + tax for 100 grams, which is cheap! The octopus pieces are priced at 380 yen + tax for 100 grams. Always crowded with customers, it's easy to see why. They carefully weigh out the amount requested by the customer, but any excess is charged for. They wrapped the pieces in traditional wooden boxes, which younger people might not be familiar with. Unlike plastic packaging, wooden boxes absorb excess moisture from the fish, preserving its flavor. Opening the wooden box at home is always exciting. The tuna and octopus pieces from Fish In are truly delicious. Highly recommended!

When I came to Kinshicho, I went to this fish shop! I bought the famous octopus and diced tuna. I ate them at home. The octopus had a good texture and was delicious, but the tuna was not that great, with some drippings. Overall, it felt like a normal fish shop.

Located next to Marui in Kinshicho, there is Uo Torasan where you can purchase maguro butsu (tuna) and tako butsu (octopus) at the storefront. The deliciousness is so great that there are often long lines. It may not be cheap, but the taste is definitely worth it. I believe that buying butsu here is more satisfying than buying sashimi from a mediocre fish market. It's a great side dish to enjoy with cold sake or shochu. I bought 300g of maguro butsu and 200g of tako butsu and returned home. I will enjoy them with fresh soy sauce and strong wasabi.

Located in Kinshicho, there is a restaurant called Uotora-san where you can purchase tuna and octopus cuts at the storefront. Lately, I have been buying them at the end of the year for New Year's. Personally, I prefer octopus over tuna. The tuna also has fatty parts mixed in, which makes me feel like I got a good deal. The restaurant is closed during the New Year's holiday, but it seems to be open at the end of the year. Inside the shop, seafood such as crab, tuna, and octopus is sold at reasonable prices. When going to the shop at the end of the year, there tends to be a long line, so I recommend dressing warmly and joining the line.

In October 2020, when I went out to buy dinner for my son, I noticed a rare sight of only a few people lining up in front of this shop, so I decided to join the line. They were selling their famous takobutsu in small quantities, and this time I ordered just over 100g. I brought it home as a snack for my son.

"Uotora," a fish store in front of Kinshicho Station, has an impressive presence with a large rotary in front of the station. It is rare to see such a large fish store in this area. Although I had seen it before, I had never had the opportunity to buy fish until now. What surprised me the most was the dedicated section for "butsu-kiri" (pre-cut fish) with a staff member on hand and a register for measuring and selling by weight. I bought some tuna butsu-kiri, and it was indeed delicious. The other seafood items were also affordable and tasty. Unlike some supermarket sashimi, there was no unpleasant fishy smell with the fish here. I was impressed by how a store in such a prime location can thrive.

Exploring the local gourmet in downtown! Sumida Ward, Kinshicho Edition. A specialty, tuna sashimi, from the well-known fresh fish shop loved by locals, "Uotora". It had been a while since I did takeout! The weather was nice, and I had some errands and night shopping to do, so I decided to take a little walk to get some fresh air and have lunch in Kinshicho! On the way back, I was thinking about what to buy for dinner, and ended up passing by a dignified white mansion-style store in front of Kinshicho Station that anyone living in the Tokyo Minami area would know. Established in 1967, this place has been operating for a quarter of a century, offering fresh fish directly from Misaki Port, including their famous fresh tuna slices, octopus slices, and various seafood dishes and sushi sold by weight. The fresh tuna slices and octopus slices are always popular, with a line of customers waiting. I decided to do takeout from the well-known fresh fish shop "Uotora"! First, I looked around the side dishes area, and then I was drawn to the delicious-looking sushi. The glossy shrimp and squid nigiri sushi looked amazing, and next to them was an eel sushi with plenty of sauce. I also joined the line for the tuna slices outside, making sure to keep a safe distance from others. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I bought 200g of fresh tuna slices for ¥540, which was surprisingly cheaper than the octopus slices. The fresh tuna slices were delicious, with a perfect balance of lean meat, medium fatty tuna, and a sweet and savory flavor. I topped them with grated nagaimo (Japanese yam) and they were incredibly tasty! The squid nigiri sushi was finely cut and had a sweet taste, while the shrimp nigiri sushi was firm and sweet. The eel sushi had two beautifully cooked eel pieces, and the eel was soft and flavorful. This selection turned out to be a great choice, with all the dishes being incredibly delicious! These are definitely top-notch items from a well-loved old fish shop in the downtown area. A go-to popular restaurant for when in need, I will definitely revisit! Absolutely delicious!

This is a fish market located in Nihonbashi. It is a famous shop that has been around for a long time, always bustling with people buying fish. Their specialty is chopped tuna and octopus, which can sometimes cause long lines due to its popularity. In addition to fresh fish and shellfish, they also sell sushi and seafood bowls. On this day, I went to buy lunch and purchased a mixed sushi bowl. It was very fresh and delicious, with a variety of toppings including herring roe and octopus that are not typically found in sushi bowls.

After purchasing my bets for the Arima Kinen race, it has become a tradition to buy tuna and octopus tails at this store for the end of the year. This year, I didn't know yet that my bets would be losing ones when I bought them. After buying the bets, I lined up at the fish store to buy tuna and octopus tails, for some reason the waiting time seems to be getting longer every year. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I finally got my turn and bought 300g of tuna and 200g of octopus tails. I enjoyed them at home, they were delicious. Looks like I'll be able to cross over into the new year just fine! Thank you for the meal.

After work, at the south exit of Kinshicho Station. I crossed the Keiyo Highway and found "Uotora" with a sign saying Miura Misaki Port, direct market. Oh, I didn't know about this place! It's been here for a long time, selling fish by weight at the window-like counter. I asked for 100g each of octopus and tuna! They cut it into triangles and eyeballed it! Tuna 116g ¥313, Octopus 113g ¥395. The tuna was just right, thawed and delicious. The octopus, well, it's a hearty flavor when eaten with cucumber. It's a local specialty, you know!

In front of Kinshicho Station, there is a huge fish market that always seems busy. The main attraction is apparently the tuna. I wanted to buy it but the line was too long on the holiday morning I visited, so I gave up. Instead, I went inside and bought other items. The place was bustling! I couldn't get the tuna, but I still got tuna sushi rolls, assorted nigiri, octopus tempura, and bara chirashi for lunch. When I got home, I tried them right away. The tuna sushi rolls had thick, firm tuna. The nigiri was all fresh. The octopus tempura had a nice chewiness and you could taste the octopus flavor well. The bara chirashi had small but fresh cuts of fish. It may not be cheap, but for the quality of the fish you get at this price, fish lovers will be thrilled. I now understand why it's so popular!

This is a sushi restaurant in front of Kinshicho Station. When you mention "Uotora," it is a famous fresh fish store in Kinshicho that even people who are particular about fish know, not just residents of Sumida and Koto wards. In the store, they sell whole fish, frozen items, and processed foods like grilled eel, but the most famous is the "butsu" sold by weight. You purchase the "butsu" at a window at the right end of the store without entering. During busy times, there is a small line, so that's a sign. The "butsu" corner sells two types: maguro and tako. When I visited late, the tako was sold out. I tried the maguro butsu cut (270 yen per 100g, the photo is 219g for 591 yen). They replenish the cut frozen maguro as soon as it sells out. I took the frozen one home, and by the time I got there, it had melted to a good eating texture. When you think of maguro butsu, you might imagine random cuts of parts that can't be easily sliced, but this one is high-quality without any sinewy parts. The pieces are cut large, so it's better to cut the larger ones into bite-sized pieces with a knife when eating. It seems to be made with bluefin tuna, as it has a good aroma and umami in the red meat. In terms of price, there are other famous fresh fish stores in the area that sell bluefin tuna saku at this price, but for butsu cut of this quality and quantity, I think the level is high. It's the taste and price of popular store maguro. The fact that they always sell at this price is also attractive. The closing time is early at 6:00 PM, but it's worth buying when you can.

I visited the restaurant in the morning on the day I returned to Kansai in March 2019. When I visited last autumn, I saw the specialty octopus tempura that caught my eye, but I had to run errands that day so I couldn't buy it. I regretted not buying it at that time. So this time, I stopped by without much expectation, and to my surprise, I found the only pack of "octopus tempura" on the shelf. Of course, I immediately grabbed it and headed to the cashier. The octopus tempura here is really delicious, so I definitely want to stop by again when I visit Kinshicho next time.

I used it as a souvenir for a hot pot party with friends. There is a large fish store in front of Kinshicho Station. I bought sashimi as a souvenir for a hot pot party at a friend's house. [Appetizer] Tuna cheek 270 yen x 3 Flounder sashimi 735 yen. I initially bought only flounder, but added tuna cheek. The flounder had the edge attached and was delicious. I bought too much tuna, 300g was unnecessary. I left it and it was a waste. The sashimi is sold in chunks, not pre-sliced. It is cheaper than supermarkets and good for buying in bulk. Normally they open at 10:00, but on race days they strangely open at 9:00. Is it a celebration with sashimi after buying it?

In November 2018, I visited Kinshicho. I used to just pass by the Fish Toratora across the main street while watching the line of people buying octopus and tuna sashimi cuts at the storefront, as I thought I couldn't bring raw food back to Kansai even with a cooler bag. However, this time when I entered the store, I found not only raw food but also various side dishes for sale. Among them, there were large shrimp fries (5 pieces for 600 yen) and fried mussels (399 yen). Shrimp and mussels are both my son's favorite, so I bought them thinking they could be his dinner side dish if I leave half in his room's refrigerator. I used to buy bento boxes or side dishes at the depachika in Tokyo Station before boarding the Shinkansen back home and have them for dinner, but recently I have been buying fish-related side dishes in Kinshicho more frequently. I look forward to visiting this store again.
