You wouldn't think that such a quiet and elegant entrance could be found in the basement of a building. The cuisine highlights seasonal ingredients in a kaiseki style. The dishes are not only beautiful but also showcase the excellence of Japanese cuisine. The perfect sake to accompany the meal would be from Fukushima Prefecture, given that this is a restaurant from Aizu. This hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant offers attentive service and is a great choice for entertaining guests.

I enjoyed a refined private room dining experience with Japanese cuisine. The seasonal course meal was delightful. Although it was a private room, the sound seemed to carry quite easily, but it didn't bother me. The staff in their traditional Japanese attire added a cool and elegant touch. They had a good selection of Aizu sake.

The restaurant is located in the basement of a building. When I went down the stairs and opened the sliding door, a woman in a kimono greeted me. I mentioned my reservation and was led to a private room. It seems like the restaurant only has private rooms. My companion (an older man) was already waiting for me. It seemed like a good choice for a quiet and relaxed conversation since we hadn't seen each other in a while. The atmosphere of being served in a private room in a kimono made the older man feel comfortable. We ordered a course menu (8 dishes with a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option). We started with a toast with draft beer. The dishes included two small appetizers, sashimi, a main dish of Wagyu steak, simmered dish, soba noodles, and dessert. Each dish had a refined taste. The timing of the dishes was well-paced, making it easy for entertaining guests. After the beer, we switched to Japanese sake, which included varieties from Fukushima Prefecture such as Okunomatsu, Daishichi, Kokken, Hanaharu, and Okunomatsu. We enjoyed Okunomatsu Junmai Ginjo and Kokken Junmai chilled, and Hanaharu Junmai warm. They all paired well with the food. We finished with a highball and stayed for about 2 and a half hours. Thank you for the meal.

We visited this restaurant with 8 people on the night before the holiday. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Toranomon Station underground. The interior of the restaurant is elegant with a subtle incense scent. When we entered, there were no other customers, so it was quiet with no music playing. The waitresses were all women in kimonos and had a sophisticated vibe. It felt like a place designed for entertaining guests. We ordered a 10,000 yen course menu (drinks not included) on this day. Although there were no particularly unique or outstanding dishes, everything was consistently delicious. The service could use a bit of improvement in terms of attentiveness, considering the price range of the restaurant. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

The price was high, but it was worth it. The entrance of the restaurant, the behavior of the serving women, and of course the dishes and the plates were all amazing. I sat in a private room with chairs, but they also have private rooms with kotatsu tables for two people. It was an important occasion so I couldn't take photos of the food, but everything was beautiful and delicious.

The horse sashimi at Kaike is the most delicious. The best way to eat it is by dipping it in a mixture of soy sauce and spicy miso. I think it's the best in Japan!

This time, I used a restaurant recommended by our business partner. The course started with appetizers, followed by sashimi, main dishes, and everything was delicious. The dishes were beautifully presented and a feast for the eyes. What impressed me the most was the service. I felt truly welcomed and the special service matched the price. They even provided mask cases, showing great consideration for COVID-19.

Although it was a private room, I was constantly interrupted by staff every 2 minutes with a "sorry to interrupt, but..." which made it very difficult to have a conversation.

A rare restaurant where you can have a quiet and peaceful conversation during lunchtime outside of the office in a private room. The entrance is well-made, the food is delicious, and I definitely want to visit again.

It's a hidden gem of a restaurant, with completely private rooms. We were graciously treated by the staff and led to a beautiful tatami room. We started with a toast with bottled beer, Kirin Lager in a small glass which made it taste even better. Then we switched to draft beer, Ebisu. The atmosphere felt like a cozy small restaurant, and the dishes were delicious with a seasonal touch. The matsutake mushroom steamed in a pot with sudachi was fragrant and delightful. The sashimi was fresh and the meat dishes were tender and tasty. The alcohol flowed easily, making it a perfect place for entertaining clients. It's nice to be treated to a feast once in a while!

This month, we held a farewell lunch for a director who will be leaving the secondment. We chose a restaurant called "Okiagari Koboshi" for its traditional Japanese multi-course meal options and private dining rooms. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building, with a hidden and cozy atmosphere. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, so I went there in advance to make a reservation in person. The menu offers a variety of dishes in a bento box style. As a lover of alcohol, I felt like having a beer with the meal. The dishes were beautifully presented with elegant flavors, and the conversation flowed smoothly in the calm atmosphere. The waitress recommended a second serving of rice, which I gladly accepted as the food was delicious but the portions were small. The meal ended with coffee and dessert, and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch that lasted about an hour. The departing director gave a farewell speech at the end, and the lunch farewell party was a delightful experience.
