●●Waiting Situation●● I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on a weekday! Surprisingly, there were 26 people waiting outside! The main store had around 50 people waiting, so I went to a branch, but it was still crowded. Perhaps because they have received a Michelin award, about 70% of the customers were foreigners. The staff also spoke in English. I was able to enter around 7:15 pm!
●●Order●● I ordered the "Seared Wagyu Beef Tsukemen (Black Soy Sauce)" for 1700 yen, with an additional "Large Noodles" for 200 yen and a "Flavored Egg" for 100 yen!!
●●Noodles●● These noodles were incredibly delicious!!! Despite being on the thinner side for tsukemen, the addition of whole wheat flour gives them a chewy texture! The surface is smooth and easy to slurp, making it hard to stop eating!
●●Dipping Sauce●● The dipping sauce is a light broth based on seafood. It has a nice soy sauce richness and a balanced acidity, making it delicious! And most importantly, the umami of the Wagyu beef melts into it, which is amazing!
●●Overall Impression●● It was a super delicious tsukemen! Personally, I loved the noodles the most. Thank you for the meal!

The best feature of this store is the excellent customer service. The Chinese-speaking staff member has a lovely way of speaking and expressing themselves. The staff member who was organizing outside in English was very kind and considerate. Tonight, I ordered the "Oni Oroshi and Rucola Seared Wagyu Cold Bukkake Soba (black soy sauce) with extra noodles" in search of the disappeared tsukemen. There is a 30-minute wait at 18:03, so it is recommended to come early.

I tried to go to Fukka, but it was closed for the day. I arrived at the front of the store around 11:10 am on Sunday and found that it was already open with about twenty people waiting outside. They handed out tickets to about 10 people and asked us to come back later. The staff were all smiling and very friendly. I ordered both the black soy sauce and white soy sauce ramen. I preferred the beef over the pork chashu. The soup was delicious with a strong dashi flavor. I usually like medium-thick noodles, but the thin noodles here were a great match. Personally, I liked the black soy sauce ramen better. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout. I will definitely come back again.

In Kawaramachi, "Inoichi" is very popular. When I went to the main store, there was a huge line of inbound customers! So, I decided to try the "annex" where there was only one person waiting in line. I ordered the "Spicy grilled wagyu beef cold soba with arugula" and ate it. The name is long! It's embarrassing to order! As expected, it's very popular and the taste is unique. This place is great because you can drink green juice before eating, so it's practically zero calories!

Actually, since last year, there has been a menu that has been highly praised among gourmet enthusiasts! I missed out on it last year, so I finally got to try it this year! Summer limited edition [Chilled Saba Miso and Tofu Egg Yolk Soba] for 1500 yen. On a wide plate, there is a black soup that makes you wonder, where is the tofu? On top of the fluffy and piled up saba miso, the egg yolk shines. I scoop up the noodles and try it! Spicy and refreshing!! The soup inside is spicy and hot! This is because they use homemade black chili oil. The saba miso has a sweet miso flavor! When you mix it from the bottom, the white tofu soup comes out and overflows! The creaminess of the tofu and the spiciness of the chili oil, along with the sweetness of the saba miso, enhance the satisfaction of the three flavors. Additionally, the crispiness of the watercress and tomatoes adds a refreshing touch to the summer dish. If you add a little bit of grated kelp from the table, it brings a Japanese-style broth atmosphere and a smoothness. You can also enjoy changing the taste. I thought, even though there was soup left... it would definitely be delicious if I added rice, right?! So I ordered an additional [Small White Rice] for 150 yen, with a smaller portion, and tried it! It definitely goes well together! Because it's saba, haha, and it's spicy, haha. It has been featured in the Michelin Bib Gourmand, and sometimes you need to get a ticket for lunch. It was lucky that it was open on a rainy day and I could slip in. 11:00-2:30 last order. No holidays. No photography allowed except for food.

I went to a ramen shop after visiting a grave. I arrived at 10:30 on Sunday, 30 minutes before opening. There were 5 people waiting in line. I lined up in front of the shop and looked at the menu with English subtitles while waiting. It seems like they ran out of tsukemen. I decided on the top menu item, white soy sauce ramen with bonito flakes and egg. There were slightly more foreign customers. Maybe because they are Michelin-rated? The bonito broth is strong. It's more like a light soba than ramen. The price of 1,550 yen is a bit high. I customized it with the 4 types of condiments and grated yam in front of me. It has a gentle flavor that goes down smoothly. I'll try visiting the main shop next time.

I had grilled wagyu beef and bonito soba (black soy sauce). The elegant soy sauce paired perfectly with the bonito. The bamboo shoot topping was delicious with no unpleasant taste. The wagyu beef was, of course, delicious, but I felt it was almost too good to be true. Lol

I went to a sister store. It's a little off the main street. I was interested in the slightly different menu. I had the extra-large portion of black ramen with bonito flakes. It costs 1650 yen, which is expensive, but I still think it's delicious, although I feel the main store is even better. There was almost no line, and I got in after about 10 minutes. It seems like a good backup option when the main store is busy.

Visited the restaurant around 11:30 am on a holiday. Entered around 12 pm and ordered the seared wagyu beef with bonito soba (with seasoned egg) for 1750 yen. [Thoughts] - The dedication to shaving the bonito flakes in the store is impressive. - There are many options for flavor variations, which makes it enjoyable. (Being able to add yuzu is the best.) - The grated tororo kelp is so delicious that it feels like you could eat it forever. (There is a caution note about adding too much as it can alter the taste too much.) - The char siu pork here is unique and surprising with its smoky aftertaste from being seared. - The bamboo shoots are so delicious that you'd want to eat them as a snack. It's not too rich, so you can enjoy it until the end. Even if there is a line, I would still want to eat here because you can really feel the dedication, and I didn't find the price to be too high for what you get! The service from the staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant were also excellent! Thank you for the meal!

Located near the center of Shijo, this ramen shop offers a Japanese-style broth instead of the usual tonkotsu. The cozy interior has seating for 6 at the counter and 3 tables for 4, creating a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Even on weekdays, there is a line of 3 to 4 people waiting outside during lunchtime. The attention to detail is evident in the cold silver tea glasses and chopstick rests, providing a warm and welcoming experience. This is a great place for visitors to experience Japanese flavors and hospitality, even for those from overseas.

It's been a while since I visited Inoichiran. Despite having to wait for about two groups, I was seated in about 10 minutes, probably because it's a weekday. The restaurant was filled with foreigners, and I noticed that there were a lot more staff members. Maybe they're in a training period. The menu has changed a lot recently, from being focused on tsukemen to now not even having tsukemen on the menu anymore. I decided to go with the "Chilled Saba Miso and Tofu Cold Egg Yolk Soba," which I had tried before when they still served tsukemen. The combination of the creamy tofu, rich saba miso, fresh vegetables, and sesame flavor in the soup was delicious. However, the noodles were thinner because it was a cold noodle dish. While it was still tasty, I couldn't help but miss the slurp-worthy noodles from the tsukemen. I also couldn't do the soup dipping like before, and it felt a bit lacking. Prices have gone up due to inflation, but I felt more satisfied with the tsukemen in terms of both taste and value. I hope the day will come when they bring back the tsukemen. I want to feel that excitement I had when I was eagerly waiting for the limited edition tsukemen. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this ramen shop when I traveled to Kyoto. I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and waited in line for about 30 minutes before getting inside. There were about 310 people in line, but the turnover rate was good, so the service was quick. I ordered the Bonito Ramen with White Soy Sauce and a half-boiled egg, as well as the tofu recommended by the staff. The total came to 2,100 yen. The ramen was delicious, but considering the price, I couldn't help but wonder if it was just expected to be good. The tofu cost around 400 yen, and even if it was 200 yen, I wouldn't have ordered it. The staff spoke fluent English and smoothly explained the menu to foreign tourists, which I found impressive.

On a typical Thursday at 6:30 PM, there were 4 people waiting outside. I ordered the bonito-flavored ramen with white soy sauce for 1400 yen. I was seated within about 10 minutes. The ramen was light in flavor. It may be a matter of personal preference whether it's worth waiting in line for. The staff's customer service was excellent. It's impressive that even at a ramen shop in a tourist area, the staff speaks fluent English.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:00. There was no line outside, but the inside was full. As I waited in line, more people started to arrive and within 20 minutes, there were about 10 people in line. I was disappointed to see that the "tsukemen" was sold out, but due to the hot weather, I ordered the seared wagyu cold bukkake soba, shumai, and egg over rice instead. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted warmly. The soba had a refined taste, a mix between ramen and soba, and was delicious. The shumai and egg over rice were also very tasty. This restaurant has a lot of Kyoto-inspired details and flavors.

I arrived at Menya Inoshishi, but they had already sold out of tickets. I decided to look for another ramen shop and stumbled upon Inoshishi Rirare, which seemed to have similar menu items. I decided to line up, feeling quite hungry. I ordered the Seared Wagyu Beef Tsuke Soba with White Soy Sauce and Red Onion Seasoned Egg for 1750 yen. It was luxurious! The dish was topped with plenty of sweet wagyu beef and the white soy sauce soup was exquisite. The noodles, seared bonito, menma, and egg were all of high quality. It was a high-end ramen experience. There were many foreigners in the shop, and the staff were able to communicate in English. Truly impressive. Thank you for the meal!

There were a lot of tourists! Mostly foreigners. It took about an hour, but they were giving out tickets so we could wander around different places. The service was amazing! The staff were friendly too! The food was delicious! I ordered the chilled noodle with mackerel and soy milk. Additional toppings included seasoned egg and bonito flakes. There were also various condiments like grated yam and Kyoto's unique seasonings like Gion shichimi, sansho pepper, and black pepper. Despite the variety of ingredients, they harmonized perfectly! Truly deserving of being featured in the Michelin Guide for 3 consecutive years!

The moist wind, filled with humidity, hit my cheeks and made me want to grimace. Even though it was before the rainy season, Kyoto in this season is as hot and humid as hell. The restaurant is located about a 7-minute walk from Shijo Station. I saw a line before and became interested after visiting the popular "Menya Kazahana" before, so I decided to visit this time. I arrived at the restaurant right at opening time, but there were already about 10 people in line. I was seated after waiting for about 20 minutes. What I ordered: - Seared Wagyu Beef Tsukemen (Black Soy Sauce) with Flavored Egg - 1750 yen - Seared Wagyu Beef Cold Bukkake Soba (White Soy Sauce) - 1800 yen - Homemade Shumai - 550 yen The clear soy soup and the noodle texture were exquisite and delicious, but the toppings did not match well and lacked a unified taste. It was decently good, but at this price point, it was expected, and there was no specific reason to choose this restaurant. Honestly, I wonder why it is so popular, but perhaps it is because there are many foreign customers and it may be featured in overseas magazines.

For lunch today, I went to Menya Ichi Wataru. I wanted to eat tsukemen, but the menu had not changed, so I was disappointed. I had the classic Oikatsuo soba black. It was very delicious and satisfying, but whenever I come to Ichi, I always feel a little uneasy. I want to eat ramen, but it's not ramen, it's not soba, it's Menya Ichi, so they offer original noodles, but for some reason, it never quite fits. The taste is delicious though. Thank you for the meal. My rating is 3.55 points.

I visited the store on Saturday. It was a popular place and there was quite a line. I wanted to eat tsukemen, but unfortunately it was no longer on the menu. Instead, I tried the Oi Katsuo Soba Shiro Shoyu, which had a strong broth and was delicious. It was recommended for those who like a light taste. There are also various toppings available to enjoy. The interior of the store was very clean, and the staff's customer service was excellent.

Michelin-starred restaurant! This is my second time here, and I realized that the seared wagyu and bonito soba is the most delicious! You can change the flavor by adding grated kelp halfway through, so you won't get bored until the end, and the satisfaction is abnormally high. I recommend the black soy sauce for the seared wagyu and bonito soba!
