In the afternoon on a public holiday, about 20% of the seats in the restaurant were empty. I tried the Hojicha Tiramisu Cake set for 1320 yen, and it was delicious. The combination of hojicha and tiramisu was perfect, with neither flavor overpowering the other. The interior of the restaurant was still cute as always.

Seasonal limited peach glass dessert, homemade lemonade, croissant almond. The place is spacious and not too crowded, making it very convenient to use. I love it here! The interior is to my liking, and the cakes, bread, and lunch are all delicious. The seasonal limited peach glass dessert combines panna cotta and peaches with a berry accent. The lemonade has a refreshing tartness. The almond croissant is dipped in fruit syrup and filled with almond cream. When eaten cold, it becomes a sweet treat! It has a moist and rich flavor, very delicious!

During the Bon Festival when a typhoon was approaching, I decided to stop by Liberte Patisserie near Kyoto, Karasuma Oike to buy some bread before lunch. The cafe attached to the bakery looked charming as well! The bread was displayed in a glass case, and you need to inform the staff of your choice. Though slightly pricey, the bread seemed to be of high quality! I purchased the following items:
- Red Croissant (¥460)
- Pudding Diplomat (¥240)
- Gourmand Mozzarella (¥250)
Due to the typhoon hitting directly, the transportation was stopped the next day, so I ended up staying for the day (sad). I enjoyed the bread at home. The red croissant was delicious and worth the price. It had a crispy texture with sweet and sour jam inside. It was a bit on the expensive side though. The Pudding Diplomat had a nice chewy texture for a bread pudding. The Gourmand Mozzarella had a small but satisfyingly heavy bite. Cheese lovers would enjoy it. The staff was kind and provided attentive service, leaving a good impression. The lunch menu also looked delicious, so I would like to visit the cafe if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

- Kyoto City Nakagyo-ku - A shop with a high-class atmosphere and overall high prices. I usually buy 1-2 pieces of baked sweets. On this day, for some reason, I decided to try croissants, so I bought a limited-time flavor and a classic one. Mango and Passion Croissant 460 yen - The price made me hesitate a bit, but it looked like a Liberte croissant, with a larger size. It had a strong sweetness from the puree, and the fresh passion fruit seeds added a nice texture. It was recommended to eat it slightly chilled, so I tried it that way. It tasted like a dessert and was delicious. Croissant 400 yen - It had a round shape with soft dough. It had a strong buttery flavor with a good saltiness. Croissant Japan 220 yen - This one had a crispy texture, with a hint of sweetness and a simple, delicious taste. The customer service was very pleasant. It might be nice to take your time and enjoy eating in.

Lovely appearance with a white-based color scheme. A bakery and sweets shop. I used it as a cafe. I was able to relax in a calm and quiet space. The homemade lemonade was cold and very delicious. The pudding was also delicious and reasonably priced. It's easy to go in alone, so I will go again. The staff were cute and provided good service.

I went to a store in Karasuma. When it first opened, it was super crowded, but this time when I went to buy a croissant, the store was empty. The red croissant cost 400 yen, which is expensive. I took it home for takeout and tried it. It had jam inside, which was sweet and sour and really delicious. The croissant was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the buttery flavor matched well with the jam. I want to eat it again.

I had a takeout of hojicha tiramisu and Mont Rouge. Mont Rouge is based on Mont Blanc, with accents of cassis berries and puree which caught my interest. The chocolate is rich and delicious. It's a bit small in size, but still has a satisfying volume. You can also eat in at the shop.

I had the Bacon Fougasse for 540 yen and an iced coffee for 550 yen for dine-in. The dining area is spacious and has a nice European atmosphere. As the name suggests, they seem to have a good selection of cakes as well. The portion of the Fougasse was huge and it was delicious.

I went to buy canelés. The shop had a stylish, French-style pastry space with a white color scheme. Many female customers were enjoying tea. I got my order to go. The pain au chocolat had a nice aroma and was crispy. The canelés were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Absolutely delicious!

This is a cake and bread shop that is open from morning. I had a Moreau Chocolat Cannele Cafe au Lait, which can be eaten in the shop. The Moreau Chocolat has a moist chocolate base with a slightly sweet cream and a crispy Florentine-like texture on top. The base is rich but not too sweet, making it easy to eat without getting tired of it. The Cannele seems to be the most popular item. It has a classic flavor of rum and vanilla, with a firm and relatively moist texture inside. The stylish interior of the shop is based on marble, white, and green, with various seating options like counter tables and sofa seats. There were many foreign customers and women buying bread for takeout.

I was surprised when I entered around noon and there was nobody there, but as soon as it was time for afternoon tea, it suddenly became lively. Kyoto is really strict about time, haha. The taste is very authentic, with a strong and sharp sweetness. It's not just sweet, but delicately balanced in various aspects. The desserts with cream and strawberries, as well as the balance of textures in each part, are skillfully done. The drinks are also well-prepared. The interior structure is modern, with a variety of interesting seating options. It's a place where you can enjoy a pleasant afternoon. (If you come early, it's even more peaceful...)

I got some pastries to go from this bakery. The berry croissant was light and crispy with a tangy raspberry jam filling, perfect for breakfast. The mushroom baguette had a good amount of mushrooms and cheese inside, giving it a satisfying flavor. The chestnut brioche had a rustic sweetness from the chestnuts and the brioche dough was top quality. The diplomat pudding was moist and dense with raisins adding a nice touch. This bakery offers high-end pastries that are perfect for a luxurious treat. They also had artistic cakes on display. Overall, it was a great experience.

Delicious but a bit pricey? The staff are friendly and the place wasn't too crowded, so I guess it's understandable. I've been exploring different bakeries and this one, although tasty, is 170 yen more expensive than my favorite croissant spot. I wasn't sure if the higher price meant it was better quality or if there was a noticeable difference, so I decided not to order this time. They don't have a menu for cooked dishes, so I had lunch with bread and a drink. I'm grateful to my family for accommodating my preferences.

This is my second visit. Last time I had lunch, but this time I came for the popular croissant takeout from the bakery. I bought the Croissant Linzer Kyoto Limited Edition with raspberry jam incorporated and the Pudding Diplomat. Both were amazing! The croissant is especially popular for a reason. I will definitely come back again! The authentic raspberry jam is fruity, sweet, and sour - delicious! The croissant dough, with its buttery aroma and multiple layers, was also excellent. It's quite large, maybe double the size of a regular croissant. The Pudding Diplomat was like a cross between pound cake and bread, surprisingly light and moist, like a delicious cake. It was also very tasty. The lunch menu has been updated.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station, this shop is part of a chain with stores in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, France. They also have branches in Kichijoji and Kyoto. The spacious interior offers a variety of cakes and bread. In the cafe area, ordering one drink is required, and you cannot order cake alone. I opted for the Mille-feuille set, priced at 1353 yen, which was served in about 5 minutes. While the Fraisier is popular, I chose the Mille-feuille this time. The pie crust uses butter from France, giving it a luxurious flavor. Mille-feuille can often be difficult to eat, but this one had a moist crust that was easy to enjoy. The cream, made with vanilla from Madagascar, had a rich taste that I personally liked. Although it may feel more delicious to eat this in Paris, enjoying it in Kyoto is also a nice experience. I would like to revisit this place if I have the chance.

Located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, with branches in Kichijoji, Tokyo, and Shijo Karasuma, Kyoto, is an incredibly stylish bread and sweets cafe called "Liberte Patisserie Boulangerie." The exterior is sleek with glass windows, and the spacious interior has a clean, white-based aesthetic that might make you hesitate to enter. The highlight is the large marble counter showcase displaying a dazzling array of cakes and elegant breads.
Croissant 432 yen
Linzer Croissant 497 yen
Bread Gruyere Tomato Mozzarella 270 yen
With each bread priced around 500 yen, it may seem luxurious, but they are made with plenty of French A.O.P butter, resulting in a luxurious finish. Crispy, flaky, undeniably delicious! Among them, the red croissant and the popular "Linzer Croissant" are works of art with raspberry jam rolled inside. Each bread is a masterpiece of beauty and taste. The pride felt in these breads is truly heartwarming!
While the croissants are undeniably delicious, the savory bread made with a chewy high-hydration baguette dough and semi-dried mozzarella cheese was also delicious. I encountered wonderful bread that elevates motivation for wine, breakfast, snacks, and daily life in Kyoto. The calm cafe space exudes a luxurious atmosphere, so I would love to try their cakes next time. Kyoto truly has many lovely cafes to choose from, but this one seems perfect for a leisurely time.

I visited during lunchtime. Although they offer lunch, I ordered a cake set. Some people were having lunch while others were enjoying cake sets to avoid the lunchtime crowd. I also ordered some bread from the showcase, which was warmed up and sliced for me. Both the bread and cake were delicious.

Let's go on a little bakery tour after having dessert♪ So, we strolled around the Karasuma-Oike area. There are many interesting bakeries in this area, so relying on my partner's recommendation, we visited Liberte Patisserie Boulangerie for our first stop. It is a very luxurious bakery selling both cakes and bread. This time, we focused on buying bread and purchased three items: Croissant for ¥400, Croissant Linzer for ¥460, and Bread Gruyere Tomato Mozzarella for ¥250. The Croissant in the 400 yen range was a bit expensive, but it was delicious, probably due to the high-quality French butter used. The Croissant Linzer is a regular croissant with raspberry jam inside, so unless you really like raspberries, a regular croissant would suffice. The Tomato Mozzarella bread had a pizza-like flavor with the ingredients as they are, making it a stable and tasty choice. The cake section also had many tempting options, so I might just drop by again for a treat. Thank you for the meal!

The main store in Kichijoji, Tokyo, has been selected as one of the top 100 bakeries, so it's like a top 100 bakery as well. They participate in a market held in front of the French Consulate on the west side of Kyoto University once a month on Sundays and are popular. They had various flavors of croissants, canelés, croque monsieurs, and other French-style bread lined up beautifully. I would like to visit the store as well. I bought croissants, chocolate croissants, and a meat pie.
