I had some extra time this visit, so I was able to leisurely enjoy my meal. While there weren't any standout dishes, the variety was decent for breakfast. The almond jelly dessert was as delicious as ever.

Stayed at the Capitol Hotel Tokyu's Executive Floor. Checked in at the lounge overlooking the National Diet Building. Enjoyed tea with traditional Japanese sweets from the nearby confectionery shop, Shiono-san. The foreign staff members, who used to be seen frequently, seem to have disappeared due to the weak yen. Had a Japanese set breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. You can choose between a Japanese set meal or a Western meal.

This morning's breakfast was a study session while having breakfast. I woke up at 6 am and headed to the breakfast meeting without eating. I was sleepy, but hungry. When I arrived at the breakfast venue and sat down, drinks, omelettes, bread, etc. were served immediately. It looked very beautiful and delicious. And the portion was quite generous for breakfast. The omelette was very soft and juicy, and the sausages were tasty. I also had croissants, desserts, and fresh oranges. It was a satisfying breakfast. After that, I went to a soba restaurant with some friends for lunch. I might have eaten too much today, but the breakfast was delicious and satisfying.

After about a month and a half, I had breakfast for the first time in three months. I ate my usual breakfast in a slightly rushed manner as usual, then felt relieved with my usual dessert (almond jelly). My energy levels were up as usual, and I was ready to tackle the day ahead.

I attended a seminar at Capital Tokyu and had a bento lunch. This time, the sashimi was decent. The tempura, as usual, was not that great. The sukiyaki was quite delicious. I remembered that the coffee here is tasty.

The balance of sweet and salty was perfect, with each item delicately made. I wanted to eat more but each piece left a lingering impression, and I ended just at the right amount. By the end, I was truly full and it was a blissful moment.

After 4 months, it was such a long time, I visited The Capitol Hotel Tokyu for the first time in 2023. As usual, I had breakfast, which was just the right amount. The almond jelly dessert was comforting. This time, I had a bit of extra time and I felt uplifted from the morning.

It seems that Prime Minister Abe loved the pork bone ramen at a restaurant called "Abe-san," which he had made a reservation to eat on the day he passed away. It is said to be a menu loved by past prime ministers and is also known as the "career advancement noodles." I also want to eat it to achieve good results. Oh, it was delicious! According to my friend, the Neapolitan and hamburger are also recommended, so I definitely want to try them next time.

Meeting at the Capitol. Breakfast was the usual Japanese meal. Consistently delicious. The rice was also tasty. The almond jelly after the meal had a nice flavor. I have had a similar Japanese meal here many times, but it never gets old and remains delicious. The coffee after the meal was also delicious. Above all, the service is top-notch, just as you would expect from a high-end hotel.

The first dining out of 2023 was at the New Year buffet at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu with my family. It had been three years since our last visit. Alcohol is available for an additional charge, but complimentary sake is served in masu cups. The pork ramen and roast beef were as delicious as ever. Both the shabu-shabu and sukiyaki bowls used high-quality meat and we had plenty of refills. This year, we managed to make it to dessert as well.

The contents this time were similar to last time, but I always think it's just the right amount (volume). The almond jelly dessert after the meal was also delicious and made me happy.

The bento box served at the seminar at Capital Tokyu was okay. The tuna might have been skipjack, not the best. The tempura in the bento was also just okay. However, the sukiyaki was quite delicious. Surprisingly, the coffee was better than expected, and I was able to drink it black, which is rare for hotel coffee.

I indulged in a luxurious feeling. I stayed at the hotel with my cousin who came to Tokyo. I had a Japanese breakfast for 5,313 yen and a strawberry breakfast for 5,313 yen. The Japanese breakfast included simmered dish, grilled salmon, rolled omelette, pickles, sesame dressing, and soup, each with a simple yet meticulous taste that made me a big rice thief (╹◡╹). The strawberry breakfast had salad, French toast, fruits, juice, and plenty of strawberries, which healed me with its refreshing sweetness and appearance (╹◡╹). Although it wasn't a plan with breakfast included, I was able to enjoy a lovely morning thanks to the hotel credit and my frugality from yesterday. Having room service in the morning may have felt a bit resistant at my age, but it's convenient not having to prepare anything. There was no way the room and service could be bad, and I had an elegant one night, two days stay. I hope I can visit again.
