The sponge cake was fluffy and reminiscent of castella, with a high-quality and nostalgic taste. The "Mont Blanc" is made with chestnuts from Kumamoto Prefecture and is their second most popular item. The chestnut paste, when mixed with butter, creates a creamy and easily melting texture. It has a light flavor with layers of whipped cream and custard inside. The base is made of pie crust with a fragrant almond sponge cake layer. The "Shiroiyama Tamago" is a custard-filled egg-shaped pastry sandwiched between puff pastry. The surface is crispy yet slightly elastic, making it a perfect snack. The quality of the baked goods, especially the pie crust, was impressive even before the shop moved. I look forward to trying their recommended items like the apple pie on my next visit.

The shop name Le Bon Vivant means "to take pleasure in eating and playing" in French. This time, I purchased the literary confectionery "Ganshorou's Ichou Sablé" and various cookies. The sablé shaped like a gingko tree is crispy, and the butter cream with orange peel mixed in is very delicious. "Ganshorou Ichou Sablé" is certified as a recommended souvenir by the Bunkyo Ward Tourism Association and is highly recommended as a gift.

I think it's a cake shop that you can use on a regular basis.
